Eleroo 68 | Seek 59 Rooted to the spot Seek watched helplessly as undead poured out around her. Every hair on her pelt seemed to shake uncontrollably as she stood there, ears pulled back and eyes as wide as moons.
Why now? Everything had been going so smoothly, so close to a peaceful night. Now they had a dead kid with possibly more to come. Eleroo shrieked, turning her head immediately to see him slumped on the ground, but even that did not get her paws moving. Was he going to be the next victim...? Luckily, Asura whizzed past her, pummeling the attacking Bibarel back before it could hurt the little Radeon.
"Eleroo. Are you hurt?" He asked gruffly, giving Eleroo enough time to labor back into his paws. Shaking his pelt out the male let his head settle for a second before hoarsely replying,
"Y-yes.. thank you.." Gratitude reflects on top of the fear in his sparkly red eyes. The Machamp had just saved him and he would not soon forget that.
Seek's breath grew sporadic, flipping between short, quick puffs to deep ones with long hitched gaps.
That could of been it. If Asura hadn't acted Eleroo could of been torn apart before her eyes.
He needed me... and she did nothing. Dryness radiates throughout her mouth and throat but the Aiveon can not slow her respiration.
"Seek we cannot stay here... They're coming from deeper in the marsh... Perhaps we should go to Pastoria and hide out." Shenron's voice spooks her, finally shifting her paws as she stumbles backward in fright, but she manages to take in his words. He was already making plans and everyone else was doing
something as she tried to simply not asphyxiate. Did she have any right to tell them to do otherwise?
Even Felix did his part, attacking with something sparkly before bounding up to her.
"Seek, I know what its like to be afraid, but right now we need you and Eleroo needs you. I won't leave your side I promise I'll help you overcome this fear." Was it really that obvious that she was petrified? Between the shaking, the stiffness, the silence well.. she wasn't doing a good job of hiding it. Letting her jaw tremble Seek tries to speak but her throat is just too dry, too reluctant to let out any excuse. Suddenly, a bird squawks, sending needles of panic through her lavender pelt as it bolted straight toward her.
The air she held is all push out instantly and she falls low onto her belly, electricity weakly pulsing through her fur until it shined pale yellow as she vainly tried to defend herself. Though her eyes were squeezed shut a bright light flashes before her, the bird crying out again before sputtering off in the opposite direction. Daring to open her eyes again the trembling Aiveon burns with shame. She couldn't even take out one measly bady?
Im useless... Her ears twitch, listening for the bird's return but instead pick up the move commands and combat coming from Green and her Pokemon. Why didn't she help the rest of them..? Something touches the side of her face, sending a new wave of panic through the Aiveon, though she hasn't the strength to pull away upon realizing it is friend and not foe. The Sylveon moved in close, a seriousness shining in his blue eyes.
"We all can help you Seek. Your not alone in this and together we'll survive whatever this hell can throw at us." A glossy seen crosses over her eyes, tears threatening to bulge out from the corners.
"I.. I dont know what to do..." she admits in the tiniest voice.
She expected some sort of rebuttal from the Sylveon. some berating for her weakness when they needed a leader, but instead he released her skull and offered a warming smile.
"Charizard, how far is Pastoria from here?" He asks Shenron while readying for any other attacks.
Pastoria? Someone else had mentioned that- it was the name of the town on the other side of the Marsh. Did he expect them to run away?
"We-we can't make it that far!" The Aiveon whines, popping back onto her trembling paws.
"Well what ever we're planning, make it quick. I can sand storm them for a few seconds for us to escape or sand storm some of the fire so we can get through." Shame jabbed hard in her heart. Even the little Larvitar was going to do his part in helping while she did nothing! Taking in the deepest breath she can Seek attempted to calm herself, needing a second to think things over.
"Is there anywhere else we can go!?" Eleroo couldn't make it over to Seek. Every time he turned toward her a new undead showed up and tried to slash at him. A pair of Bidoof blocked his path, their bloated, disfigured bodies gross even in the dull orange light. Was she hurt, did she need help? The other Pokemon seemed to be flitting around her. What if she was injured! The Radeon bobbed and weaved, trying desperately to sneak around the Bidoof and see what was happening to his flying type friend.
Seek! It was pointless, the dumb pair had just enough sense to not let him pass while trying to nip him with their massive fangs. With a small whine the Radeon backed up, dodging their swiping paws as toxic vomit seeped into the back of his throat. Slashing vainly with one of his own paws he spat the glob of Toxic at one of the Bidoof, nailing it right in the eyes. It squealed, battering the air with its forepaws as it tipped backward then onto its side.
That'll keep it busy.. With one taken care of he only-
Slam! The other hit him right in the throat with a powerful Headbutt, effectively winding the Radeon as he is once more thrown to his side. The Bidoof let out a gurgling groan, slashing at the fur on his shoulder with weak claws as it prepared to chomp down.
Oh gods get away from me! Eleroo squirmed, panic giving him energy but weakening the force of his kicks. Jamming his paws into its gut did nothing except force a gross spurt of blood on his fur. Panic seared through his mind as the small normal type reared its head back to bite but, miraculously, it stopped as a stone pelts its temple. Grateful for the distraction the Radeon can finally scurry away from it, trying his best to ignore the pain radiating from his bleeding shoulder.
Stumbling across the soggy grass he can finally get up to Seek, noting that she does not appear harmed other then pain in her face.
"Seek.." he grunted, watching her eyes fall to his wound,
"Show.. show 'em who's boss!" For once the female didn't have a snarky reply, her mind too torn to make light of the situation, and she just stood there until a death cry sounded behind them. One of Green's Pokemon had made another kill and all voices quieted for a moment as the human gave a dark order,
"Clear the area."If she was torn before now Seek was now utterly befuddled. Green wanted to stay and kill the undead?? Was she not afraid of them, or did she know something they didn't?
Why isnt she fleeing? Memories suddenly flood the kit's mind and take over her senses. Her trainer hadn't been the best but she had always tried her hardest, thinking of things she never would of. As strange as it was if she listened they usually won the fight. Humans always seemed to have an upperhand and they really needed that right now. The Aiveon's legs stopped shaking and her ears perked up a bit.
"You heard her," she barked, confidence rising,
"leave no survivors!" ((Post stretched a lot longer then I would of liked, sorry!))
