The feathered pokemon seemed somewhat confused by Asura's inquiry. However, she offered an answer none the less."Someone was calling for help. They sounded young too. If you are worried about Shenron then you can follow his tail flame." Asura nodded; so his name was Shenron The dragon had balls to be going alone in the dark. The last glimmers of light from the fading sunset were leaving the sky quickly. In the ample darkness, the tail flame was not hard to spot. The machamp trudged forward, steps only slightly muffled by the damp ground upon which he trod. Approaching the light, he calls out:

"Shenron. It is Asura, is everything well?" He takes a step, a few yards away, into view. Sure enough, there is a young growlithe tagging along. Asura takes a look around, rather vainly looking for anybody trailing the young one. Nothing he could discern, at least, was nearby... though the feeling of unease the night brought was ever present. "Dark is upon us- let us hurry back to the others." The darkness only brought opportunity for the undead to approach under cover. Having found the light of Shenron's flame, there was no doubt in Asura's mind that the risen corpses of the marsh would be able to do so as well...

"I've seen that pokemon earlier, its a larvitar and seems he's just as lost. He shouldn't be undead so maybe he was sent to help." Gabriel looks over addressing the statement with just a quiet glance before pushing some debris around to try and get himself at all comfortable in this little group feeling the need to sleep sucking at his consciousness. Though his mind wouldn't let go of Jeriah and if he was safe or not, Gabriel glances back over to the other pokemon and the human who meets his eyes for a second before looking over at the fighting type leaving. Watching the fairy type vulpine get something for the human.

"I think I can use this, actually." Gabriel looked over then to the human with some sort of human object in her hands he would be lying if he wasn't curious what it was. Moving over slightly taking slow steps the red eyes set on the object. Markings on the side facing him, some sort of picture of a plant under it. Sitting at Greens feet looking up, tilting his head trying hard to understand the markings.

"My name is Eleroo. What's yours?" Gabriel turns he had to the dark purple evolution, then looking at him up and down setting back on the pokemon's eye " Gabriel " keeping it simple trying to put some effort into being friendly if he was going to try and stay with the Pokemon. Looking back up at the object in the shiny wrapping. " Do you know what those markings are?" asking both Green and Eleroo pointing at the book that Green hands.

Before zipping her backpack shut Green reconsidered her actions and pulled the book back out again. After all, she was in the middle of a swamp and knowing if some of that fruit one of the Pokemon had gathered earlier was toxic would be a good idea. With great care she picked at the plastic with her dirtied fingernails, tearing it along the top so she can use its protection a bit longer.

The other Pokemon's movements did not go unnoticed as she opened the book. The Larvitar moved closer and sat beside her, watching her fiddle with the plastic like a curious pup. Still, Green found herself stiffening. Even if the others trusted him she still wasn't so sure. The infected had a nasty habit of trying to hide their sickness as long as possible and he was just a bit too quiet for her liking. He might not look ill but the disease did not progress the same in all Pokemon. What if its silence was the just the sickness working its mind instead of body?

Regardless, he spoke the same as any Pokemon, replying curt but friendly, "Gabriel." It was strange- she had met so many Pokemon all across the world in the most remote places but so many had almost human names. Are we truly different? Why did they turn when she would die? Why could they remain social and nearly happy when her kind had broken apart and fizzled away?

The Larv- Gabriel, spoke again, catching the human off guard. "Do you know what those markings are?" The question was innocent enough but Green gave a hard flinch as her mind snapped back to that around her. "Yes," she answered, flipping the book around so she could point to the words on the cover, "This is a book about plants. It's called, 'A Traveler's Guide to Botany and Geography.' It talks about different plants, their uses, and where to find them." Books sure laid things out plain and simple; she had had to learn the hard way.
But hey, it had made her harder.

    --

The Aiveon corrected him sternly but Blasty did not react other then a short nod. He shifted along the windows as even and quietly as possible, tuning himself into any distant sound that may sneak up on them. Seek's paws made light, delicate shuffles, the trees shudder in the breeze, and the water gurgled and croaked.

From the corner of his eye the Blastoise can see a small light burst up from the plants. Trouble, perhaps? But it faded within seconds and was followed by another smaller, much more controlled light. Within its glow is the source and Blasty can see the Charizard raise a claw to them. "Lady Seek," he made sure to address her properly, "The Charizard and Machamp have returned."

The Great Marsh [Tram Station] | Night
    Eleroo 66 | Seek 57

Swift in her moments Seek hurried along as fast as paws would allow her to. Luckily enough the building didn't have that many windows and she had finished the majority of them before. With one last plant pressed into a crack she was done, and with good timing nonetheless. Huzzah! Pawing out the remaining clumps of dirt in her helmet the Aiveon slipped it back onto her head as proud as ever when the Blastoise spoke up once more. "Lady Seek," he started, the new title sending tingles down her spine, "The Charizard and Machamp have returned." Her ears raised tall from the sides of her head as she cranked her neck around to look. "Well that was quick," turning, she jumps nimbly from the Blastoise's back to the soft grass below, "There mustn't of been any trouble then." Either that or they needed back up.

Padding up to them it is clear to see they are not running in panic. Well, at least that meant they didn't need reinforcements. "Find anything unusual?" She questioned promptly. Her eyes however took a second to adjust to the bright light given off by Shenron's tail, immediately settling on the small furry shape illuminated by it once they did. "..Oh." The tiny pups face had the round, soft look of a child, much like her own. This was definitely the Pokemon that had been calling out but for some reason Seek hadn't expected Shenron to bring it back. Oh gods what was his name? It had already slipped her mind but the Aiveon remained composed, keeping up her facade as she eyed the Growlithe with judgmental crystal spheres.

"You shouldn't be wandering alone in the dark." She remarked coolly before stopping herself short. If he was anything like herself his parents were dead, his home overrun, and now he was a mere traveler. Well, that was most Pokemon now, wasn't it? The Aiveon's face tightened uneasily. Yet again she was stuck babysitting! Why was a horrible swamp attracting so many kids? Where were all the strong and scary Pokemon she wanted with her? Taking in a deep breathe she knew her options were limited if she wanted to keep the group at ease. "Come on, you should head inside where it's safe." Beckoning with her chin the Aiveon turned to head inside herself, "That goes for everyone; its not safe out here. It's time to lock up for the night." With that, she turned to head inside.

Eleroo's head drooped much like his ears as he padded back and forth pushing boxes over to the side of the room. With so few items left it was pretty easy to see that none of them were useful, and the Radeon was so downtrodden he couldn't be bothered to sort them properly anymore. Tossing the objects into any box with space the rest of the pile seemed to vanish without much effort. A sigh escaped him, the work suddenly seeming pointless and wasted. What had he expected to find that the stuff needed to be sorted so meticulously? Asura wanted the paper pieces to be used as bedding but even then there just weren't enough of them for the size and amount of Pokemon present. Eleroo shivered at the thought. His pelt was naturally thin but since his evolution it also felt shorter. There was no doubt in his mind it that it would be a cold night. Maybe Seek will be generous..

His red gaze lazily watched Gabriel as he made his way around the room and halted beside Green. "Do you know what those markings are?" He asked her, drawing in the Radeon's attention. The female held a book in her hands much in the same way his trainer used to. He used to read those to me.. Longing tightened his chest. Even if he had no idea what his trainer had been saying half the time he missed the readings. We would just sit together and he'd read to me while brushing my fur.. and there were days where he'd give me treats with my medicines, or even have some of his food.. and sleeping under his chin.. Again he sighed, taking his eyes off the human to let them rest upon the Larvitar. "Its full of words just like what we speak. Expect you're supposed to read them with your eyes insteada saying them." The whole idea seemed pretty cool and useful even. "That way humans can leave messages and stuff for each other. I guess most humans can read though cause they put them all over the place."

Shenron looked at the dying light and noticed it was dying all but around him. He knew what that meant. But he nodded following the Aiveon inside while dimming his tail flame. The cool inside was what he noticed first and snorted letting more of his own heat out of his body. It was very hard to sleep with chattering teeth after all. Though Shenron didn't feel any cold even after a bath. Too lost in his own reverie, Shenron took no notice if someone addressed him. Though his unfocused eyes registered the Machamp talking to him. Shenron nodded catching "alright". Though he had a hard time believing the Machamp was truly worried for his well-being. Wanting to feel safe could lead you into thinking you cared. Like small children following after an adult only to be deceived to death.

Continuing with his cleaning, Felix found some papers that had pokemon pictures on it. Surely Green wouldn't need these so Felix put the papers into the box with papers. Then, he heard the Larvitar ask a question. "Do you know what those markings are?" Felix stopped for a few minutes to rest when he overheard the Larvitar ask that. The Sylveon had thought about it. Isn't that something that humans read or put down on paper? Surely that Green can read it though since she is after all human. "Its full of words just like what we speak. Expect you're supposed to read them with your eyes insteada saying them." What Eleroo said did make sense though. Felix remembered his trainer back when he was in Kalos used to read books every once in a while. This was back when he was young Eevee, but now that the eeveelution's all grown up, he doesn't really listen to a lot of reading. That way humans can leave messages and stuff for each other. I guess most humans can read though cause they put them all over the place." The Fairy type didn't need to help Eleroo on explaining since he was doing a good job at it already.

Getting back to work, Felix went to check on the other parts of the shelter for anything else the both of the eeveelutions may have missed. The Eeveelution went into one of the rooms and continued finding papers and other objects to put into the boxes. Maybe Eleroo might come by and help. Felix thought to himself as he continued picking up with his feelers. As he came out of the room with more papers, he placed them into the box with a smile on him. Perhaps life outside of Kalos wasn't so bad, outside the fact that the epidemic had ravaged the world. The Fairy type returned to the room he was cleaning and went to pick up more objects. Things was going good for him until he hit his head on something wooden. "Ouch. What the?" Looking up a bit to see what he had ran into and it seems someone had left a wooden dresser behind. Maybe the nice human might find something useful in it for the night. Felix ran out of the room and back to Green. As the eeveelution looked up at Green with a happy look on his face, he put his paw onto her leg.

With an excited voice, the fairy type spoke to Green. "I found something that you should see miss, uh, say who are you by chance?" Not knowing her name was bugging him a little. If he was an Espeon, it would have been easier to know these things, but psychic powers isn't something Felix liked or even wanted. The Sylveon put one of his feelers onto Green's arm and still with a happy look to him. Looking back at the Larvitar and Eleroo, the eeveelution thought about showing them as well so that they could see for themselves. "Hey Eleroo, I found more papers and other things in that room as well." Of course, he forgot to ask the Larvitar his name since he's new. "So what's your name Larvitar? I'm Felix." The fairy type said happily to the Larvitar. Turning his attention back to Green, he listened carefully for her name.

"Yes," Green gave a simple answer in reply as he sat down again seeing as she brought it back out. He watches as she flips through the pages seeing flashes of color and more markings before settling back on the cover of the book. "This is a book about plants. It's called, 'A Traveler's Guide to Botany and Geography.' It talks about different plants, their uses, and where to find them." Listening intently to the words, his eyes drift back to the markings one by one before going back to the few pictures of the flowers under them. Reaching up to touch them as they looked real enough to, before stopping seeing Green watching him closely, he lets his arm drop back down to his side. Only exploring the book with his eyes. " Do you use the books often? about the other things I mean" asking a little looking to the side not making eye contact.

"Its full of words just like what we speak. Expect you're supposed to read them with your eyes insteada saying them." Turning back to the poison type as he spoke up as well. "That way humans can leave messages and stuff for each other. I guess most humans can read though cause they put them all over the place." Tilting his head a little, looking back behind them as the fairy type moved some more of the books around ad out of the way." Sort of like those?" asking then pointed out what Felix was doing. The red eyes looking around before getting up from where he was seated at the Green's feet, looking around at the last few scattered before picking up a book of it's own. Nearly the same size as he but held few pages with in so wasn't too heavy, some sort of magazine of the train car tour of the marsh.

"Hey Eleroo, I found more papers and other things in that room as well." the pink fairy type came into the conversation then as he held the magazine closer to himself. "So what's your name Larvitar? I'm Felix." his eyes narrow slightly, this Pokemon just seemed too carefree about the events, making him feel a little uncomfortable. "Gabriel" repeating himself moving around the flamboyant looking fairy type. His eyes following the fairy type for a few extra seconds. Gabriel moves back to the human, though giving them both some space between them pulling the magazine upright as best as he could.

Looking at the colorful cover and the marks up top, peeling the cover away to the first page. Seeing a few of the local Pokemon flying above the train car they were currently sitting in. It was sunny and the plants seemed much greener as the water more clear on either side. The humans inside looked happy enough. Flipping the page again, becoming more engrossed in the markings and the pictures. The next page as some of the local vegetation and some he would know, his stomach gave a whispering groan. Pausing a little hiding himself more under the magazine, muttering just as soft.

Letting the magazine fall against his scales, making a crude tent of the pages, feet barely out one side and the singular horn out the other. Yawning feeling tired, his mind twisting back to how his little brother might be doing, " Do you think if we left marks in the books like these someone else might read them Eleroo?" asking poking his head out enough. A fairly large yawn tugs at his mouth a tiny flash of his teeth before rubbing at his eyes, he was ready to sleep being as late as it was.

    He was thirsty...so, so thirsty...

But today, his thirst would be sated. He could hear the voices of the living from the surface, above where he hid in the murky gloom of the Marsh's waters. Their pounding hearts echoed in his head, the organs that pumped the precious life-juices through their veins. It was his. These fools didn't know just how much danger they were in.

    Today, Kabutops would finally feed.

He slid silently though the water, his dark brown skin perfectly camouflaging the top of his head and eyes that protruded from the surface. He had already chosen his victim; a young Growlithe who had wandered away from the rest of the group to sniff at the bogs and reeds surrounding the pond where the Harbinger lurked.

Ah, the sloths...always the first to die.

His thirst was driving him to insanity. He could wait no longer. With a violent hiss, he sprang from the water.

Gigantic, curved scythes pinned the Growlithe to the muddy ground before he even knew what was going on. Kabutops was already slashing into its tender skin, cutting away at its fur, as it finally began to scream and thrash, begging its nearby friends to help it. But it was too late. Nobody escaped Kabutops' claws. The Harbinger steadily dragged his howling, bleeding prey with him into the pond, its blood pouring out of the slashes in its side. Kabutops spared a mocking glance up at the pup's companions as they looked on in horror, and pulled the screaming child into the swamp.

Once underwater, Kabutops curled his body around the Growlithe and began to feed. His mouth dove into the cuts on its body, sucking out the blood before it was consumed by the waters. Crimson swam around him as he fed, the pup quickly losing his will to fight as his heart began to fail. Kabutops gulped down as much blood as he could from one of the cuts, then moved onto the next until there was literally not a drop of it left in the Growlithe's body.

The Harbinger's stomach was full, his appetite sated. Satisfied, he left the remains of his prey and swam away, already thinking about his next meal.

He could only imagine the looks on their faces when the deflated bag of bones that used to be their friend floated up to the surface.

The Larvitar said something else about the book but Green was hardly listening now. "I used to. Not so much anymore." Nothing else here seemed to be of any use to her, not that she had been expecting much. The shelter was pretty much clean and ready to go now as well. Eleroo went on to explain more of about written language, surprising Green with the extent of his knowledge. "That way humans can leave messages and stuff for each other. I guess most humans can read though cause they put them all over the place."

She took her hand off the side of the box and let her eyes fall to the empty space on the floor. Yeah, messages. In the first weeks there had been so many.. Turn back. Death up ahead. Welcome to hell. Bodies inside. No hope left. Kill on sight. Kill the spotted. Red eyes; death approaches. With so few humans left wandering it was rare to see any signs of them around anymore. Even this shelter looks like its been tended by Pokemon. How far must she travel to find--

"I found something that you should see miss, uh, say who are you by chance?" The Sylveon's voice was unexpected, breaking Green's trance with a rush of panic. Instinctively her lowered hand grips tightly around her machete's hilt, raising it waist high, but her thoughts take back over and prevent any possible outbreak. "Green." Her visage hardens, arm snapping away from Felix's touch. 'Who are you?' It did not matter who she was. All that mattered was what she was going to do. Shifting her legs the trainer starts to stand, muttering, "Its-" when a cut off yelp and screaming flood in from the outside.

A cold dread washes through her veins. No.. There was no mistaking that sound; a cry of death. Within a second her hands are reaching for her Pokeballs when another rush of panic pulses through her. No, no no. Blasty, Flamey, Rosy-- they were outside still. She had to go get them. Something was out there, something was killing while her Pokemon needed her. Kitty... She sprints out the door and skids roughly against the dirt. "What's happening!?" She demands, machete lifted high. There was nothing different then when she was last out here. Had the killer--

"M'lady, we've lost one. A pup." Blasty's voice is the first to reach her, the behemoth standing in nearly the same spot she had left him though her dark eyes sparkled ominously. "More undead are approaching," he warned, moving in front of her, "Be ready." Blasty was never must for words but Green feared his lack of information about their teammates. Was he withholding details!?

"Flamey, Rosy!?" She called out, spotting movement within the trees. That's not the direction they had gone. Pointing with her free hand the trainer commands her Pokemon, "Hydro Pump Blasty!" The turtle angles his cannons launches a blast of pressurized water. Dirt and muck go flying from the force, the growl of struck undead breaching her ears. "Green!" Flamey's voice is unmistakable as he flies overhead. A stream of fire heads through a gap in the trees, lighting up several shadows she had not previously seen. "There are more!"

    Great Marsh|Evening (32)

Shenron's outstretched paw to the pup twitched almost thinking it could grasp him all too late. His pupils shrank to pinpoints and the reality set in. Was it how quickly it happened or just how savagely it happened..? Shenron carefully took what remained of the pup from the filthy water looking at him with a confused childlike expression. At some point had this innocent little head been pet..? The little pup's fleeting time with them had all but gone from here but Shenron felt he couldn't let it go so easily. He stomped the ground a few times and scraped the dirt aside before placing the pup in the makeshift grave. "Goodbye innocent one, might not have known you as long as I would've liked but maybe in the next life. In a better world... We'll meet again" Shenron turned his head hearing shouts from the building. He narrowed his eyes and curled his lip back into a snarl. "Who dares..."

The Great Marsh [Tram Station] | Night
    Eleroo 67 | Seek 58

    It... happened so fast..

He wanted a drink real fast. Just a little water before hunkering down, no harm in that. Seek had turned her back, thinking nothing of it, and had no expected the scream. Had he fallen in on accident? When she turned and didn't see him there she grew worried. Bounding closer to the water she hadn't expected it to turn to muddied and red.

Nor did she expect the.. body...

"No..." In an instant the Aiveon's legs turned to jelly, her hurried steps backward shaky and unbalanced. "This.. this, he cant-" A monster in the water? Everyone had been tromping around these grounds all day and nothing like this had happened. "It, he- he cant!" Her jaw quivered too fiercely to speak. The soggy, torn up bundle of fur bobbing in the water-- was he maybe.. still.. alive..? There was no chance of her approaching the water to check. What is the thing was still there?? Shenron, however, had the balls to approach and pulled the pelt from the water. The look on his face said all that she needed. "What just happened!?" She shouted, looking back to where the others had been moments ago.

Her massive ears did not miss the low sorrowful moans coming from not so far off. Turning a pair of saucer-wide panicked eyes to the trees the Aiveon doesn't even notice how fiercely her pelt has fluffed, how low she was crouching, or strongly she was shaking. More!? Suddenly it feels like the world around her is alive with the sounds of mobs crawling around. "What's happening!?" Green's voice spooked the already terrified fox, flipping her around with mouth agape. "U-undead!" she squeals in a voice much higher then normal. Had they just been waiting for the perfect moment??

Unlike her, Green and her Pokemon seemed totally in control, and the trainer even gave her Pokemon a command without problem. "Hydro Pump Blasty!" Another of her Pokemon attacks from above, revealing more undead sneaking through the trees and surrounding weeds. "Green! There are more!" Her panicked heart fluttered in her chest like a trapped bird. It wasn't safe out here. They had to get inside! They all had to run back inside and shut the door and then they'd be safe and okay. Seek's head flips back and forth between their shelter and the undead. Why was everyone coming outside then..? No, run inside! Sure it had broken windows, and a shredded roof, and a warped door with an open.. inside.. Seek's inhale is cut abruptly as she realizes, It wont be safe inside.
They had to fight in the dark or die like trapped mice.
And she was just standing there like a stone.

"There is a chance, but most Pokemon can-"
Eleroo could not reply to Felix, let alone finish his reply to Gabriel before the tragedy happened. He was right on Green's heels, sprinting out the door as fast as he could. Bursting into the open his eyes are immediately assaulted by the darkness and moving shadows. "Seek!" The soft spoken male wails louder then he thinks possible. What were these other things-- With a loud screech something leaps from nearby cover, a heavily infected Bibarel with claws outstretched.

With another wail the Radeon reacts out of nothing but fear; crouching low to the ground he spews a Shadow Ball right in its face. The small explosion was enough to throw it back but the beavers tail still smacked him in the cheek and unbalanced his paws. One shoulder slumps all the way to the ground while his chin smacks the dirt. Eleroo's eyes screw, blurring the little shadowed movement he could see in the dark. What the hell happened out here..?

    Great Marsh|Evening (32)

Shenron looked at Seek not able to properly give an answer. The child had just been dragged from behind him. He narrowed his eyes into the darkness and immediately shot Flamethrower into the darkness igniting trees and getting pained screams from the undead within. "Seek we cannot stay here... They're coming from deeper in the marsh... Perhaps we should go to Pastoria and hide out" Another approached only to be crushed under the dragon's large foot. "I wouldn't recommend hiding in the building either. Unless its our intent to pull some sort of suicide pact" Shenron took a step back not necessarily retreating but putting some distance. He offered his paw to her as a metaphysical anchor if she needed it.

It happened faster than Asura could have hoped to notice. While observing the treeline, feeling unease for the falling night, the young one he had just been standing beside... erased, sucked dry. He turned towards the faint yelp before it became a muddled sound. "Damnit...!" He already knew that the pup would not survive. But at least, if they could rescue it from the undead, give it a temporary peace...

"This.. this, he cant-" The Aiveon muttered in understandable disbelief. Asura, however, ran in the direction of the yelp. The pool was hardly a few large bounds away, a once clear pond... something was floating within. Crimson stained, but some orange and black remained... and it's state. As if he was hollowed out, only bones and flesh remaining... the torture this young one must have felt as he passed. Asura's white eyes were set ablaze with anger. At himself, for failing to protect one so innocent, and at whatever gods may be... for their utter cruelty.

Growling and sloshing steps caught Asura's attention. The sounds had drawn more... and his exclamation had likely not made the situation any bit the better. But at least they were targets.Coming from his left and front was a Bidoof. Heavily infected, somewhat emaciated, and missing a chunk out of it's side. No, nothing too strong...

"Seek!" Asura whirled around. Back at the hut- there were not many who appeared strong there. The two eeveelutions were difficult for Asura to judge the power of, but the Larvitar was certainly in danger. Hell, they were all in danger... but at least most out here had demonstrated prowess when he first arrived. Even now, the Charizard throws flames at the enemies. Asura runs past Seek, arms pumping back and forth roughly. He would not let anyone else die right now...!

As the Machamp approaches, he sees a Bibarel rising. Asura rears his right fists back, taking a large left forward step. With a large, sweeping motion, Asura steps through, driving his fists into the gut of the Bibarel, slamming it farther back. Bones crack, the effective move taking out chunks of the skeleton. The body of the thing distorts and flails as it launches back once again. Asura sets his feet squarely, settling into his power-up punch. the thing wasn't dead, but it would take a bit to get back up. Asura's aim would have done wonders on a live one, but undead... not so much. The limbs and brain are ok, so the thing will rise once more... Without turning to his ally, Asura all but coldly asks, "Eleroo. Are you hurt?"

The Larvitar speaks his name, though it was barely making eye contact through that magazine it had. "Gabriel" Felix looked back at Green as she spoke her name as well. "Green." She pulled her arm away from the Sylveon's feelers. The Fairy type took it into note to talk with the human without the need of touching her. "Its-" Before the human was able to say anything else a yelp was heard and Felix snapped his head towards the door. Something inside him told him to be ready for danger and the Sylveon looked at Eleroo seeing something wasn't right. "Seek!" The Radeon ran out and Felix chased after him to see what's wrong. Upon exiting the hut, Felix then seen what the ruckus is. Damn it, these things don't give up. Guess this won't go without a fight then so be it. The Sylveon thought to himself.

The trees was on fire and from the charizard's fire. "Seek we cannot stay here... They're coming from deeper in the marsh... Perhaps we should go to Pastoria and hide out" From the sound of it, they might have no choice now. Especially with the marsh now on fire and each tree was close enough to each other that it would spread from embers or debris falling onto the ground. "I wouldn't recommend hiding in the building either. Unless its our intent to pull some sort of suicide pact" It was a now decision of fight or flight and Felix wasn't going to let those he just met die from fire. Seek however was feeling fear and Felix has to use his skills to get the aiveon's morale back. "Eleroo. Are you hurt?" The Machamp from earlier was fighting and seems he had it under control. It would be a matter of time before the Larvitar comes out as well. Right now the fairy eeveelution had to get Seek to relax.

Felix ran up to Seek in hopes to calm her down and help her in any way possible. Before he spoke to Seek though, he turned his head and used a moonblast on a few undead. Afterwards he turned his head back to Seek and started to calm her down. "Seek, I know what its like to be afraid, but right now we need you and Eleroo needs you. I won't leave your side I promise I'll help you overcome this fear." An undead bird pokemon comes flying into Felix's view and another moonblast is shot from the Sylveon's mouth. The Eeveelution put his feelers onto Seek and made eye contact with the winged eeveelution. "We all can help you Seek. Your not alone in this and together we'll survive whatever this hell can throw at us." As he took his feelers off the flying eeveelution, the sylveon nodded to her with a sincere look in his eyes. It was then he looked over to the Charizard and asked him on the distance to Pastoria is. "Charizard, how far is Pastoria from here?" The eeveelution did not know the Charizard's name and would need to ask that when they get out of danger. Until then, they all would have to defend each other until they escape.

    Great Marsh | Night | 20

Gabriel half watching around the marking book between the fairy type and the human, the human seemed a little distant, or was that all humans. He would have to think about it if he was staying with this group and not with his little brother that was his main concern, Jeriah would have liked the fairy type. Sighing at the thought he went back to look at the marks and pictures. Before a sharp sound was heard outside, jumping a little in surprise as Green was the first to react. "It's-" as she was up and already at the door then. Having to roll over dropping the book he made his way over to the door. Rather slowly not exactly having the legs, or having to much cation to rush there. Getting in the door frame he leans on it overlooking the area, that was blazing orange by this point like some fire storm ripping into the tree line.

" Seek we cannot stay here... They're coming from deeper in the marsh... Perhaps we should go to Pastoria and hide out " looking over to the owner of the voice, curious that he's never heard of the place before. May be a human settlement that was safer than here. Sort of hopping off the train cat to the ground below nearly losing his balance on contact he looked up staying near the party. The stink of the place was getting worse with it now on fire, or was it just the glowing dead. " I wouldn't recommend hiding in the building either. Unless its our intent to pull some sort of suicide pact " Gabriel blinked, looked safer in the metal car than out in the open like this to him right that second. "Eleroo. Are you hurt?" looks over to the poison type as he seemed a little rattled by what's playing out now in front of them. Swallowing hard himself as he watched the fiery hellish nightmare playing out, he is worried as well.

Some of the team then engages into combat as a few of the quicker undead reach them, a brilliant bright light from the fairy type. More fire licks at the undead flesh, quickly turning into chaos around him. He just stood there stiff unsure what to do, every nerve telling him fight. Seeing the flashed of something moving down on them fast he quickly ducked out of the way, as another moonblast took it out from the fairy type once again. Lifting himself out of the dirt brushing at his scales before looking out back turned toward the other sort of watching their backs. "We all can help you Seek. Your not alone in this and together we'll survive whatever this hell can throw at us." looking back over his shoulder a little as the fairy type tried to tell her they would get through this.Maybe he was right, maybe he wasn't. Gabriel didn't want to die like this not knowing if Jeriah is fine or not. Was he happy and healthy somewhere else or was his dead already. Hissing at the though Gabriel refocused on what he was doing and listens. "Charizard, how far is Pastoria from here?" turning a red eye to the orange dragon.

" Pastoria? a human place, right?" back stepping closer to the others as the indeed started to swarm around them. He could help put out the fire if they got through this, but maybe moving would be a better idea. Leering at the nearest undead that really proved ineffective, and screech would have done a little better. " Well what ever we're planning, make it quick. I can sand storm them for a few seconds for us to escape or sand storm some of the fire so we can get through." more giving himself options to at least feel useful to them. He isn't going to even attempt to bite at them, as his shoulders drop a little. He couldn't do anything, to to help them or Jeriah. They had only hidden themselves and not engaged in any sort of combat all this long, now combat was unavoidable and he couldn't do anything. Hissing, lifting his shoulders again, he glared at the undead picking up a nearby rock and simply threw it at the creature as it connects to no real effect. Pressing back to the group a little more ready to do whatever they wanted to do, and fast.

    The Great Marsh || Night
    14

Flames flickered in the trees, illuminating the approaching undead shadows and their glaring red eyes. The damp environment protected most of the plant life but any dried bits were no match for the double burst of fire. It may not of been much but the new light was just enough to show the human with poor night vision the enemies locations. Fuck, its a horde. Whatever snatched the pup had attracted a considerable group. Had they been waiting for the signal to strike?

Flamey swooped down low, sweeping in front of his trainer with steel-hard wings. He veered sharply, slicing the bladed tips straight through a stumbling Shellos until it was no more then a misshapen puddle of slime. "Good job," Green breathes before pointing to a horribly disfigured Floatzel, "Give it a Skull Bash, Blasty!" The massive turtle was already moving, expecting the command and pulling in his cannons in as he charged.

The Floatzel hissed, its jaw agape and clearly broken, and threw out its arms but otherwise was too slow to defend itself. The loud crunching of bones could be heard under the impact along with a horrendous snap as its body is tossed against a tree. For a living Pokemon that would of been painful but the undead's rotten spine snapped like a toothpick against the trunk.

Suddenly aware that the other Pokemon had left the building and were fighting beside her Green's ears could not tune them out. "Seek we cannot stay here... They're coming from deeper in the marsh... Perhaps we should go to Pastoria and hide out." The Charizard wanted to flee? With wings he probably wouldn't have much trouble. Flamey could get me out. The Talonflame had helped her escape more times then she could remember and there were plenty of other Pokemon to distract the mob.

Reaching for her Pokeballs to return her partner the trainer froze, an icy weight building in her stomach at the feeling of not two but four empty balls. My Pokemon... Kitty.. No, she couldn't leave yet; she still had to gather everyone and secure a safe path out.

Her train of thought is broken as the Pokemon's chatter reaches her once more, "Well what ever we're planning, make it quick," Did they all really think they could flee from this fight? At least some of them would be ground bound and would be considerably slowed by darkness and terrain. They'd be sitting Duckletts.
A gurgling growl flicks her head around, a snarling Glameow coming too close for comfort. In the orange light it almost looked healthy. Like it could following the pack for safety or just starting to turn. A heartbeat later it gives a bloodcurdling scream as Blasty drove his Power-Up Punch through its skull. She stands, breath paused, as dark blood starts to ooze from its remains. As the trainers blood runs cold she speaks numbly, "Clear the area."

The Great Marsh [Tram Station] | Night
    Eleroo 68 | Seek 59

Rooted to the spot Seek watched helplessly as undead poured out around her. Every hair on her pelt seemed to shake uncontrollably as she stood there, ears pulled back and eyes as wide as moons. Why now? Everything had been going so smoothly, so close to a peaceful night. Now they had a dead kid with possibly more to come. Eleroo shrieked, turning her head immediately to see him slumped on the ground, but even that did not get her paws moving. Was he going to be the next victim...? Luckily, Asura whizzed past her, pummeling the attacking Bibarel back before it could hurt the little Radeon. "Eleroo. Are you hurt?" He asked gruffly, giving Eleroo enough time to labor back into his paws. Shaking his pelt out the male let his head settle for a second before hoarsely replying, "Y-yes.. thank you.." Gratitude reflects on top of the fear in his sparkly red eyes. The Machamp had just saved him and he would not soon forget that.

Seek's breath grew sporadic, flipping between short, quick puffs to deep ones with long hitched gaps. That could of been it. If Asura hadn't acted Eleroo could of been torn apart before her eyes. He needed me... and she did nothing. Dryness radiates throughout her mouth and throat but the Aiveon can not slow her respiration. "Seek we cannot stay here... They're coming from deeper in the marsh... Perhaps we should go to Pastoria and hide out." Shenron's voice spooks her, finally shifting her paws as she stumbles backward in fright, but she manages to take in his words. He was already making plans and everyone else was doing something as she tried to simply not asphyxiate. Did she have any right to tell them to do otherwise?
Even Felix did his part, attacking with something sparkly before bounding up to her. "Seek, I know what its like to be afraid, but right now we need you and Eleroo needs you. I won't leave your side I promise I'll help you overcome this fear." Was it really that obvious that she was petrified? Between the shaking, the stiffness, the silence well.. she wasn't doing a good job of hiding it. Letting her jaw tremble Seek tries to speak but her throat is just too dry, too reluctant to let out any excuse. Suddenly, a bird squawks, sending needles of panic through her lavender pelt as it bolted straight toward her.

The air she held is all push out instantly and she falls low onto her belly, electricity weakly pulsing through her fur until it shined pale yellow as she vainly tried to defend herself. Though her eyes were squeezed shut a bright light flashes before her, the bird crying out again before sputtering off in the opposite direction. Daring to open her eyes again the trembling Aiveon burns with shame. She couldn't even take out one measly bady? Im useless... Her ears twitch, listening for the bird's return but instead pick up the move commands and combat coming from Green and her Pokemon. Why didn't she help the rest of them..? Something touches the side of her face, sending a new wave of panic through the Aiveon, though she hasn't the strength to pull away upon realizing it is friend and not foe. The Sylveon moved in close, a seriousness shining in his blue eyes. "We all can help you Seek. Your not alone in this and together we'll survive whatever this hell can throw at us." A glossy seen crosses over her eyes, tears threatening to bulge out from the corners. "I.. I dont know what to do..." she admits in the tiniest voice.

She expected some sort of rebuttal from the Sylveon. some berating for her weakness when they needed a leader, but instead he released her skull and offered a warming smile. "Charizard, how far is Pastoria from here?" He asks Shenron while readying for any other attacks. Pastoria? Someone else had mentioned that- it was the name of the town on the other side of the Marsh. Did he expect them to run away? "We-we can't make it that far!" The Aiveon whines, popping back onto her trembling paws. "Well what ever we're planning, make it quick. I can sand storm them for a few seconds for us to escape or sand storm some of the fire so we can get through." Shame jabbed hard in her heart. Even the little Larvitar was going to do his part in helping while she did nothing! Taking in the deepest breath she can Seek attempted to calm herself, needing a second to think things over. "Is there anywhere else we can go!?"

Eleroo couldn't make it over to Seek. Every time he turned toward her a new undead showed up and tried to slash at him. A pair of Bidoof blocked his path, their bloated, disfigured bodies gross even in the dull orange light. Was she hurt, did she need help? The other Pokemon seemed to be flitting around her. What if she was injured! The Radeon bobbed and weaved, trying desperately to sneak around the Bidoof and see what was happening to his flying type friend. Seek! It was pointless, the dumb pair had just enough sense to not let him pass while trying to nip him with their massive fangs. With a small whine the Radeon backed up, dodging their swiping paws as toxic vomit seeped into the back of his throat. Slashing vainly with one of his own paws he spat the glob of Toxic at one of the Bidoof, nailing it right in the eyes. It squealed, battering the air with its forepaws as it tipped backward then onto its side. That'll keep it busy.. With one taken care of he only-

Slam! The other hit him right in the throat with a powerful Headbutt, effectively winding the Radeon as he is once more thrown to his side. The Bidoof let out a gurgling groan, slashing at the fur on his shoulder with weak claws as it prepared to chomp down. Oh gods get away from me! Eleroo squirmed, panic giving him energy but weakening the force of his kicks. Jamming his paws into its gut did nothing except force a gross spurt of blood on his fur. Panic seared through his mind as the small normal type reared its head back to bite but, miraculously, it stopped as a stone pelts its temple. Grateful for the distraction the Radeon can finally scurry away from it, trying his best to ignore the pain radiating from his bleeding shoulder.

Stumbling across the soggy grass he can finally get up to Seek, noting that she does not appear harmed other then pain in her face. "Seek.." he grunted, watching her eyes fall to his wound, "Show.. show 'em who's boss!" For once the female didn't have a snarky reply, her mind too torn to make light of the situation, and she just stood there until a death cry sounded behind them. One of Green's Pokemon had made another kill and all voices quieted for a moment as the human gave a dark order, "Clear the area."

If she was torn before now Seek was now utterly befuddled. Green wanted to stay and kill the undead?? Was she not afraid of them, or did she know something they didn't? Why isnt she fleeing? Memories suddenly flood the kit's mind and take over her senses. Her trainer hadn't been the best but she had always tried her hardest, thinking of things she never would of. As strange as it was if she listened they usually won the fight. Humans always seemed to have an upperhand and they really needed that right now. The Aiveon's legs stopped shaking and her ears perked up a bit. "You heard her," she barked, confidence rising, "leave no survivors!"

    Great Marsh|Night (33)

Shenron held up his paws for a momentary peace. "If we run straight, avoid the mud and sinkholes and neglect to look back, it shouldn't be too far" Yes Shenron would forgo his flight to get there faster if it meant he could get them there safe. A Bibarel broke the line advancing to his flaming backside. The turn and swift clawing all felt so fast that it was audible. His claws pulled hide from hide, muscle from bone and bared the rotten inside for a Flamethrower to putrify what rot didn't crumble from the force. Intact remains were kicked back in a display of intimidation or maybe even a challenge. If things grew more desperate, he wouldn't hesitate to burn this marsh to the ground. Shenron flapped his wings pushing birds back from them that dived too close. "Yes! Show them who is boss!" The return of confidence was a practical order! Leave none alive! Destroy them all! The advance of flames grew with each attack and his desire to win went with it!

More undead continued there advance towards them and Felix continued to attack as much as he could. "Seek.." Eleroo had joined in on helping Seek regain her senses. "Show.. show 'em who's boss!" His head whipped around as Green made an order that Felix would figure that she means to end this fight. "Clear the area." The human sounded like a soldier telling her pokemon to take the undead out. Felix shot another moonblast at the undead that got close to both him and Seek. "You heard her," Turning his head seeing Seek rise back up in confidence this time, the sylveon smiled as he was able to be at least of good help. "leave no survivors!" If they ran now it would end in disaster if they got stuck. The fairy type changed from using moonblast to shadow ball and started picking off the few water types that came from the corner.

"Yes! Show them who is boss!" The Charizard spoke as his tail flame was increasing in size. They would be able to defend their shelter with teamwork and the eeveelution would help no matter what. It was against his very nature to leave them behind and if Green's pokemon was able to take them on without a problem then they can do this. "Lets take them out! The undead have overstayed their welcome!" Felix went to the right side of the Aiveon and continued his shadow ball assault on the undead. The Sylveon stood right on the edge firing shadow balls down on the undead, every once in a while a moon blast launched in there. "I got this side covered Seek, I could use someone to watch for anything above." Felix said to Seek as he continued attacking. Then there was the larvitar that was waiting for what to do. "Gabriel, what moves do you have?" As he asked the small rock type for anything that he could use for attacks.

It was just any other battle. With seasoned motions the trainer guides her Pokemon through combat, everything falling upon second nature as she forced herself to remain calm. The eeveelution gave a battle cry, sparking the spirits of her comrades and quelling any thoughts of retreat. Improved your odds. A torrent of water raced across the sky as Blasty locked on to an incoming bird. Green couldn't see where it went in the darkness but she manage to sight the cloud of feathers around the stream.

With the groups combined efforts the undead were quickly starting to fetter away. While the swarm never seemed to end they now had the firepower not be overwhelmed by the demons. Flamey's squawking caught the trainer's attention, puffs of fire appearing overhead for a few seconds before fading. The powerful bird was grappling with another avian Pokemon, his massive talons slicing at the air as he tried to grab at his oppressor.

"Fly, Flamey!" Green ordered, pointing high in the sky toward the rising moon. The Talonflame pumped his wings, climbing the air with the other Pokemon hard on his tail. "Go high then swoop and hit it with a hard Flamethrower!" The bird screamed in acknowledgement, rising ever higher. With a massive wingspan and powerful wings he covered more ground then the other Pokemon and found just enough time to make a hard 360 and launch his Flamethrower forward.

Though the undead was too far away to be distinguished by the fires light it was silhouetted by the moon and gave off the distinct shape of a Swellow. It let out a horrified caw as the blaze stream over one shoulder and across its back. "Follow up with a Steel Wing!" Her Pokemon's wing shimmered in the pale light and gave off a loud shinng as it scored its way through the other birds body, tearing the rotten muscles of one wing off completely. The gimp bird fell instantly, spirally downward until it hit the ground with a dull thud and splat. "Good job." She called praise to him, forcing her eyes back to the ground where Blasty was fighting.

    Great Marsh|Night (34)

Shenron stared down an approaching Quagsire. Each stumbling step saying how long it had been dead and re-awakened. That once blubbery huggable hide was now gashed with resistance. Master had once owned one of these... Gelato. The dorky creature before him was not Gelato however. Shenron grasped the top half of the Quagsire's skull prying jaws apart before spitting an endless volley of flames into its body. This battle was allowing him to be far more brutal then he intended. But then again watching them crumple away from each flame he spat or tossed was very satisfying. Perhaps this was one of those stress relieving things. Like as a carnivore living in a world where his pickiness was unavoidable, necessary but still dangerous means he had to kill things. Just all out kill things.

    Great Marsh | Night | 21

s more undead continued there push into them seemly crawling out of the very swamp it's self, rotten and falling apart at the fleshy seams. "Seek.." Eleroo had said catching his attention as the time seemed to have slowed down, the avion like fox seemed just as frozen and helpless as he felt, was he just like that frozen and helpless. "Show.. show 'em who's boss!" the human was next she seemed more then willing to help even using her pokemon hiding in the balls, "Clear the area." That was easy for those pokemon every pokemon here was helping doing their part, and he couldn't do a damn thing.

"Gabriel, what moves do you have?" his name drawing his attention back into the fight as time snapped back into place and chaos resumed. " I - sand " simply saying looking down as the dry soils starts to whirl off the ground collecting around him in a small sand storm before gaining speed turning to the other pokemon he raise his voice " I can cover our escape " saying then as the sand rages into a massive storm drawing from the land they were on. The sand pelting off the steel car in a wall he pushed out like a eye in a storm around them repealing some of the pokemon who were confused by it, a few still pushing into the lashing sands to get at them. " Move he strains himself to control the sand storm to to hinder the party as he followed behind.

(( Brain dead to the max ))
