    Eleroo 69 | Seek 60

Eleroo watched with massive red eyes as the cheers of their comrades invigorated Seek. With each rising voice the fear died back in her eyes and stopped seeping from her pelt. Eleroo sighed between pants, relieved. The thing she loved most had breathed life back into her! But after a few moments of encouragement the Radeon could no longer ignore the undead moans behind them. He turned and harried himself back toward them, running painfully on his wounded shoulder. Ahead Green gave calm commands to each of her Pokemon, battling as though it was just wild Pokemon and not undead. She's so poised.. Despite all the years that passed Eleroo could never battle like he did with his trainer. He was scared everytime he had to fight and it never helped him. There was just something about a humans guidance that.. changed things. Could he ask her to lead him?

There isn't time. A Pokemon bursts from the closest shrub and spits a flurry of needles toward him. With a hop-skip he narrowly dodges them going straight into his eyes but instead they dig further into his bleeding shoulder. With a yelp of pain Eleroo spins on his paws and shoots a Shadow Ball right at the Skorupi. It hisses as the shadowy sphere explodes, tossing it behind the bush, but in a couple heartbeats its scuttling back toward him. With another hurried Shadow Ball Eleroo knocked it off course before darting away. Was he really much use in a situation like this?

Seek felt strength return to her hollow bones. They had the fires light and each others support, they didn't need to run away with their tails between their legs! "I got this side covered Seek, I could use someone to watch for anything above." The Sylveon barks between attacks, his storm of Shadow Balls making massive progress through the flowing undead. Above? Just the thought of flying twinges the muscles in her new wings. For a couple moments she is frozen once more, saying nothing while her eyes lose focus. Get over it! Most the undead had been water or ground based. Plus the fire bird was in the air too.. its not like she was not without an ally!

"Right!" Bounding forward the Aiveon makes a rough jump, pushing hard on her wings to get airborne. Shenron's words echo in the back of her mind, and while she gives a bunch of hard flaps to get airborne Seek makes an effort not to flail wildly. Letting the momentum push her forward she glides steadily, already feeling much more comfortable with the act. As if on cue an obnoxious chittering breeches her large ears, flipping her sights toward a Zubat headed toward Felix. Not on my watch! With a couple of extra flaps and a breath in Seek launches a blast of electricity right at the bat. The electricity swarms its tiny body and in a moment its spiraling toward the ground. "Haha!" She cheers, veering back around. That was actually pretty easy!

Eleroo hobbled closer to the station, his lungs burning. He had barely fought at all but already felt down for the count. Evolution had given his weak body more strength, that was certain, but he was still a weakling. Between all the sounds strewn about the battlefield he must of missed a question as only a short reply bounces against his ear fur. "I - sand. I can cover our escape." Escape? The Radeon's head flips around and lands on the Larvitar. Was he afraid too? Suddenly the youth whipped up a massive cyclone of sand, dragging it and other debris across a wave of undead. Many were thrown to the side or stopped in their paths. Eleroo stares wide-eyed at the resourceful trick. That's pretty cool. A familiar hiss brings his eyes to the Skorupi from earlier that now had two more at its side. Regaining his breathe he puffs, "Gabriel!" Another Shadow Ball forms before his lips, much larger then the ones earlier, "Over there!"

Seek fluttered overhead, the Sandstorm seemingly bouncing off her light feathery fur. They were winning! Weren't they? Swooping closer to the burning part of the trees she can see the undead trickling down. Yeah, they would win! Suddenly a loud but low, bellowing roar rumbled through the trees. Every bone in the Aiveon's body vibrated at the sound. "The hell was that?" She squeaks, coming to a hover. For a moment there is no other sounds but the crackling of the fire. All the other undead fall silent as a dark shadow appears behind the wall of flames though its shape was completely distorted by the blaze. "Oh oh gods.. look out!" Is all the Aiveon can shout as she desperately turns in midair before the Pokemon revealed itself. With another roar it burst through the fire as though it did not exist, its massive green wings nearly clipping Seek as she dipped toward the ground. The undead let out a maddened screech, flying high above the tree line as it looked at the Pokemon below. For a moment it simply flew above them, its massive form much more discernible as a Tropius with the moon behind it, before sending a shower of Razor Leaves on anything below it.

    Great Marsh|Night (35)

Shenron looked up as Seek called out and watched the Tropius circle. Maybe it intended to go after the weakest? He flapped his wings blowing the leaves away from him. His tail flame burned hotter and his pupils narrowed to slits. Did it wish to do battle in the sky? Dare it to call Seek and him out to prove old prowess or some mental tick that it may believe it was superior in the skies? Shenron clicked his tongue and spat flames to his side. Nothing was approaching as eagerly anymore. Those sent back to the shadows screeching in agony or just possessing some cohesive decision making watched the losing battle. Had to appreciate smart attackers. When there was no way out, they'd flee.

    Tch...

Steam blew from Asura's maw into the cool air as he panted, having been fighting against what was apparently once a Bib-family. Another Bibarel, and three bidoofs, all trying to use him as their next chew toy. Fortunately a single punch was enough to deal with the nimble little irritations, but the male Bidoof was proving to be a bit of a handful. If Asura didn't have to worry about getting bitten or scratched, this would be much easier. The fight had wandered away from the main group a bit, though they were still nearby. The Bibarel launched itself mindlessly towards Asura, sharp teeth opened wide to go in for a meal. Asura, who had landed but a few grazing blows, saw the opportunity, standing his ground and, faster than the undead could react, or likely even realize, turned his hips and put his strength into a dual-fisted uppercut, launching the creature a few yards away. With a few pants, Asura began to stop towards the foe.

    Splotch!

Asura took a staggering step foward, as a burning sensation covered his back, and had a nice impact to go with it. He looked behind him, seeing a Vileploom. At first glance, it could be mistaken for living- but upon closer inspection, the eyes were red, and the petals atop its head were dark and miscolored. It had given him a solid hit of something, but not nearly enough to make him cease his attacks. "Damn you..." As Asura turned to face the enemy, he felt a sharp pain throughout his body, gritting his teeth. He'd been hit with a sludge bomb, and the lucky shit poisoned him! Asura's gaze grew wild, as Guts kicked in. An abnormally high amount of adrenaline surged through his body, and for Asura, it was a fight-or-die response... hell to flight!

Asura ran forward, grabbing the Vileplum in all four of his hands- one for each leg, one on and arm, and another grabbing a handful of the petals upon its head. This was a mistake- even though it had long ceased production of it's toxic pollen, it still lay within. With the grasp, a puff of nasty pollen poofed into the air, the pain that started in Asuras back was replicated in his hands and arms, and still working through his body. Adrenaline kept coursing, and Asura let go with two arms- using the other two to throw the Vileplum into the side of the building. With a sickening squelch, the creature's head caved from the impact!

As the poison spread, Asura's ability to think faded bit by bit. He looked upwards, seeing an ally... what was her name? She was being assailed by something... No, no more death. Nobody else dies...! With a savage, imposing voice, Asura yells out in wrath...!

    "Gruh... GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

((OOC: I don't do all caps yelling a lot, but it's one that has lost a bit of his sanity for now sooo... yeh))

"Gabriel!" He looked over to his name as his focus was pushing the sand around and keeping up the feeble attempts at keeping them at a distance. Unknown to him the immune pokemon were closing in on the ground type. As he turned to his name the shadow ball flies past inches from his olive scales smashing into the undead as he froze. "Over there!" looking over to the poison type before making his way back over to the group his arms aching fighting the quivering mussles.

His heart skipped a few beats hearing the thundering bellow in the trees somewhere. The sand masking their points of view on the ground. Dropping the sand veil as his pants, spent from having to move the sands for so long moving them out of the larger part of the hoard. "The hell was that?" Looking up at the flying type above them. Looking in the direction she "Oh oh gods.. look out!" turning quickly to the trees, seeing a streak of green as it shot into the air. Covering his eyes from the leaves and ash that was sent into the air around them. " I don't know what to do " he said blandly looking into the air at the strange pokemon circling. Before Jumping as a torn leaf blade lands near him as she looked to the others.

Whatever it was doing was raining dead leaf blades at them below, his gut knotting tighter as he turned to Eleroo. " Eleroo "trying to find a safe place but where, the now burning forest or back to the undead swarming swamp. The metal car seemed lost now, his eyes fall on the human. " What do we do now? " his voice heavy with panic and awareness of the situation at hand. Eyes widen his pupils tiny slits as they shake snapping between the scene playing out. His time seems to slow seeing a green blade falling toward the poison eeveelution " Eleroo Look Out!" " throwing himself at the poison type only hoping he could make it in time.

Instinctively whipping her hand over her eyes to block the nonexistent sunlight Green stared horrified at the shadowed Tropius in the sky. It shrieked and let out a spectacle of Razor Leaf's that showered down upon them. Throwing her hand forward she knew there was not enough time to fumble with Pokeball's and called out to Blasty, "Tuck in!" The turtle was swift for one of his size, pulling in all his extremities in an instant as his shell slammed flat against the ground. Many of the leaves found their target missing, colliding with the hard surface as though it were inanimate. A few scored cuts but it was much fewer then it could of been.

Overhead Flamey swooped, burning all approaching leaves while avoiding the airborne undead. He may of enjoyed doing things his way and showing off but the fire bird knew better then to strike such an enemy without his trainers instruction. "Aim a Flamethrower at its wings!" The signal! Without a moments delay the bird veered hard, making a tight arc to aim his fiery blast toward the massive flying plant.
The undead's attention was elsewhere, its dodge coming a moment too late as stream of fire seared the tips of two of its wings despite it's sudden dive. Enraged, it charged forward, beating its wings hard while pummeling its short legs for an aerial Stomp.

Flamey gave a shrill cry and fluttered hard to make any sort of evasive maneuver. Its not often his flying opponents had hooves and to say he was not expecting it was an understatement. Struggling in place like a newly fledged chick the Talonflame was a sitting Ducklett as the Stomp slammed his shoulder blades and neck. Winded, the few wing beats he could manage were not enough to keep him airborne and the bird started to plummet. "Flamey!" Green gasped, fearing her partner's neck had been broken.

There isn't time. An ear-piercing, guttural roar bellows from the Pokemon on the ground. "Gruh... GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" In that moment her eyes fall back to the ground and land on the source; Asura. Had the Machamp gone wild? A mad look shone in his pale eyes like that of a savage beast. Infection? She had not seen any signs on the creature before and, though his coloration was unusual, doubted she and Jiggly would of missed such vital clues. The cuts? But it was by glass. The building had been clean and the only rot she smelled was that of mildew.

No! There wasn't time for that! Flamey needed her to-- Her eyes scoured the skies and treetops like like buzzing bees, moving too and fro in panicked lines. "Flamey?" The bird had fallen out of sight. "Flamey!?" The attack might not of killed him but that fall could of readily done so. Clenching her fist Green swallowed back as much panic as she could. "Blasty Hydro Pump it-- and cover the others!" She trusted her battler to handle himself as she tore off into the trees. No, she wasn't about to lose another Pokemon in this hellsbound place.

    Eleroo 70 | Seek 61

The Radeon wheezed, unable to express his gratitude as Gabriel swung the column of sand toward the Skorupi's. While it did not harm the insects they seemed off-put by it, scuttling away and even kicking it into high gear as the massive undead overhead roared. On uneven paws the poison type skid away, sliding on slabs of mud. "T-thanks.." He panted, his breathlessness returning. Though it was nothing in comparison to what it used to be the Radeon could still feel the weakness in his fragile frame. Was he over doing it..? "I don't know what to do," the Larvitar mumbled with nothing but honestly. He hadn't the time to worry about his own health.. for once someone was looking up to him.

"Just hold fast!" While his encouragement was earnest his lungs were beginning to burn and choke his words. "Eleroo," Gabe says distracted, eyes wavering, "What do we do now?" The fear was plain enough and nearly gagged the Radeon, threatening to pull him in as well. The Tropius roared and attacked, sending an attack out that was wide enough to hit them all. "I..I-I." He was no strategist, no expert. The two of them were about to get hurt, bad, and he had no better plan then- "Eleroo, look out!" He cant even finish formulating a plan before there is a rough shove into his side, sending the pair tumbling into the nearby low shrubbery. Sharp fling sounds whiz past them, the leaves finding their way into the ground or wedged in the dense shrub instead of the children.

Dozens of rapid heartbeats pass by before the Radeon has the nerve to react. Gabriel just saved him.. and the little had a type disadvantage too! "Gabriel I-" he begins but is swiftly cut off by a bellowing scream. "Gruh... GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" The tiny Radeon was shaken to his core. Hell, his body was actually shaking, the bush covering him and Gabriel hissing from his vibrations. What a horrible sound.. Some godstricken creature must of set its sights on them. Struggling to get back to his paws Eleroo peaked out of the corner of the shrub. Letting his massive red spheres dart for a source they come to fall on a large, bronze shape. "...Asura?" He gasps, as no more then a whisper.

With a hitch Eleroo's breath got stuck in his throat and a massive wall of panic slams him. What was wrong with Asura!? Even from his distant spot he can see him massacre an undead in the light of the flames. Did he, did he maybe see something? Why else would he scream like a mad devil? With trembling paws the timid Radeon knows not what to do. Was Asura in pain?? Whatever had happened he needed help. He needed help!! Eleroo burst a few feet out of the shrub, completely ignoring the scrape of the branches against his thin pelt. Near hyperventilating he wailed, "Asura? Asura are you okay!?"

Oh no no no no this was not good. The Aiveon raced across the sky, desperate to find a clear space and float in the eye of the Razor Leaf storm. The leaves fell everywhere, their bladed edges making swift, clean cuts through her lavender fur. The slices sting with a fiery fury but her adrenaline will not allow her to scream. Was there no where safe!? As more leaves struck her, the Aiveon swiftly losing altitude, Seek realized that no, she was always at risk. Asura had gone nuts or something and the Tropius ruled the skies better then she.

A rush of flames singes some of its leaves and the Tropius retaliates harshly, knocking its aggressor right out of the sky. "Flamey?" Flamey!?" As the fire bird spiraled to the ground a cold stone plopped in her belly. Had he.. just been killed..? "Blasty Hydro Pump it-- and cover the others!" Green went after her fallen Pokemon, completely ignoring any dangers that may still lurk in those flaming trees.

The Aiveon swung low, just above the treeline. What do I do? What do I DO? A Pokemon may of just died before her and the cause was flying above her. There was no way she was strong enough to take a hit like that.. it'd snap her in two! Swallowing back her panic Seek struggled to focus as electricity flooded her fluffy fur. Sending a bolt of her Hidden Power flying she manages to nail the beast along the neck. With a hard jerk of its head toward her, however, its clear the attack did little more then piss it off. the Tropius roared again, bucking the air as it beat its wings furiously. Strong waves of air formed powerful Air Slashes that tore across the sky and burst upon impact with anything.

Shenron watched the beast closer as it made its attempts. He had to do something! Squatting and forcing his wings down propelling himself into the air. If the Tropius caught Seek or landed there wouldn't be much to do in terms of observation and strategy. Setting himself ablaze with Flame Charge, Shenron flew into the top most branches of the nearest tree getting a size-able branch aflame in his mouth. He was going to draw fire and use this as a weapon. Shenron shook his head some and stuck the burning branch into the ground before shaking it. A brightly colored somewhat stationary target drew the stragglers to it. "Not yet my friends! We are in the lead!" He turned his head at the human's call for her Flamey and grimaced. That was quite a height to fall from wasn't it? If the branches didn't catch the thing nicely then the ground surely would. But not quite as good... Shenron looked into the trees for any sign of the Talonflame but wasn't reserving any hope...

    The Great Marsh || Night || 16

Asura’s eyes dart around. Enemies. Threats. Too many to think about. Defeat them. Kill them. Destroy the enemies. Nobody else dies. No more death. Protect, help. Remove enemies.

    Tear them apart.

Asura’s goals were losing depth, fast. His mind becoming more and more linear, engulfed by an adrenaline-fueled tunnel vision. He sees something in the air, attacking an ally… Friend and foe are all he can discern now. He is unable to identify individuals past these standards…

    "Asura? Asura are you okay!?"

Asura stops after a single, heavy-set stomp forward. He turns, looking to the purple entity approaching him. Asura’s white eyes were burning wildly, his mind trying to discern. For a mere, but seemingly everlasting ten seconds, his eyes hold contact with the other’s own lookers. Purple… red eyes… foe… No. No foe. Small ally… Asura’s breath comes in deep, guttural growls as his eyes break away from the Radeon’s.

Asura turns slowly, as if he were some golem shifting its focus. His movements stale as his thoughts re-adjust. Enemy in the sky… Without any words to Eleroo, Asura leans forward, and starts to run. He pumps his arms, gaining speed as he heads for the treeline, looking up at the Tropius. He sprints towards the trees, weaving between them, looking for the angle…

    There.

Asura jumps upwards, reaching forwards and grabbing a tree with his right arms. He rips his arms towards him- a loud crack can be heard as the sheer force of this pull causes the tree to crack and splinter, Asura using it as a base with which to throw himself at the sky. The enemy is nearer, nearer… Asura’s breath grows short, shallow, his wrath boiling as the one who has hurt an ally comes closer to his grasp.

”RAAAAAAAAAAAH!” Asura unleashes another howl of blind rage, reaching an arm out to the the Tropius’ neck, grabbing on. Asura was 300 pounds… the Tropius, 250 tops. There was nothing it could to to stop Asura’s immense momentum. The Machamp grabs on with one of his opposite arms, mindlessly beating the creature with brute force, using Close combat. He opens himself to other attacks, and without thinking clearly, fails to align himself above the falling creacure. As they plummet towards the ground at a steep angle, the Tropius slams its lanky neck against Asura’s back, forcing the breath from his body. He lets go for a moment, falling out of reach, both of the creatures slamming into the ground, taking significant damage.

Asura slowly stands, arms hanging limply down- beaten and battered, but all still intact. He’s been knocked for a loop, starting to feel the effects of the strain he is placing upon himself, the damage he’s taken, and the poison… He’s huffing, hard. Gutteral, growl-like breaths falling from his agape maw. The Tropius too rises- not nearly as hurt as it could have been. In his blind wrath, Asura did not comprehend the resistance that the Tropius had to Fighting type moves, let alone the fact that his blows were wild and uncoordinated. Maybe some torn muscles, broken bones… but the same could be said for himself.  The only saving grace of the rather graceless attack, was the raw physical attack power at Asura’s hands. A well-trained Machamp, alongside the Guts ability…. No matter the level, is a force to be reckoned with.

    Great Marsh|Night

Out of all the undead that came something else was there in the air. a silhouette was in the air shaped like a plant type. Felix squinted his eyes until razor leaves came flying towards them. The Sylveon went to an all out defensive to protect him and Seek with shadow balls. Each of the balls made contact with the razor leaves popping on the leaves as they collided with each other. One eventually got through slashing Felix across the cheek. "Aaagh, Damn it, that was way to close! Watch it you undead puke!" The fairy type was bleeding a bit from the razor leaf but luckily it wasn't deep. The Sylveon finally seen what the undead was. A tropius had attacked them with its razor leaf. Then Eleroo's voice started calling out to the Machamp. "Asura? Asura are you okay!?" Was the Machamp hurt? The eeveelution went to take a look only to see the Machamp in a rage.

Looking back at the Tropius, Felix started using moonblast again to try to hit it, but it was evading them from its distance. I can't hit it from this far and if it's moving like that. I need it held in place. Felix ran to Eleroo's side. After that Asura starts charging at the Tropius. Damn it, he's going to get himself killed. I better follow him and help if something goes wrong. The Fairy type runs after Asura in hopes to help the Machamp if anything was to turn from bad to worse. A scream came out as Felix was tailing the Machamp. ”RAAAAAAAAAAAH!” It got ahold of the tropius as they started plummeting down to the earth. After they hit the ground though Felix quickly made his way towards them. Asura's condition was getting worse from the stress. Before the sylveon could talk a snap of a twig was heard as the Tropius was getting back up. "That fall should have ended it!" Seeing Asura wasn't fairing to well from the fall, Felix had to make one last effort. He had to think of his options and either outcome he needed help taking this Tropius out.

The Fairy type jumped in front of Asura to defend the wounded Machamp waiting for the undead grass type to make a move. It attacked again with Felix countering with fairy wind forcing the leaves to scatter and miss both of them. They needed to end this before the tropius got the upper hand again. "Asura! If you can hear me, I need your help. If you have enough strength left to keep a hold of the tropius, I can use my last moonblast to finish it off." His feelers was waving in the wind keeping his guard up while watching the tropius for further attacks. It was either both Asura and Felix finishing off the tropius or the tropius finishing them off and Felix didn't have becoming undead on his list of things. From what he could tell with them things, they can only focus on one of them. Felix would have to keep the tropius distracted long enough for Asura to grab a hold of it. "I'll keep it distracted long enough for you to grab it. Asura, lets finish this puke off." The Sylveon went in to distract it as it attacks the eeveelution in an attempt to hit him. It's working it's not aware of Asura's presence. Woah that was close. Come on you rotten puke, I'm right here. Felix thought as he used fairy wind whenever a razor leaf was used.

OoC)) Shadow Ball is depleted from a barrage to defend himself from the Tropius' razor leaf. He is also unaware of the downed Talonflame.

As Gabriel throws them both into the bush, his scales itched on contact with the poison type letting go, becoming poisoned  when he touched the poison orb under the radeons head. Coughing as he looked up and moved away a little more. As The razor leaves shred on either side of them hitting around them blindly as he curled up a little knowing he would be in trouble further if a single leaf hit him. His chest tightening up, before pulling open a red eye falling on Eleroo "Gabriel I-" seeing as he was fine at least and not hurt. Feeling a little better that at least that had went well as he gets himself back to his feet walking over keeping some distance between them now.

"Gruh... GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" jumping a little from the piercing sound as he follows Eleroo to the edge of the bush seeing whats going on outside the bush with the other pokemon and the human. Before the poison type leaves as he made a reach then pulling his hand back, it seemed safe enough here. After all the brothers had hid before fighting anything, watching Eleroo caught his eyes again. Before pulling himself free of the shrub as well following behind a little slower as his chest tightens further feeling ill already. Before seeing the orange spec falling from the sky near by, stopping before trying to see if he could find the fallen pokemon behind them in the trees and bush.

Walking under the bush again, Eleroo had the others he had to be fine, someone else needed his help. Pushing the branch out of the way, the flame bird had to have landed some where around here. Coughing again as it was starting to hurt, " H-Hello? trying to keep his voice low. Hearing the battle becoming more and more distant behind him, his hands touching the trees in the dark as the smoke started to drift above him from the fires. Keeping low and quiet not to draw any more undead his way, stepping over a root keeping his eyes open. Looking for the fallen bird pokemon, quickly becoming lost in the under foliage.

    The Great Marsh || Night
    17

The flames flickered and danced casting orange shadows and deep pockets across everything. The sodden plants were resilient, refusing to burn unless they were dried out or were caught in the initial blast. Flamey. Green cared not for the fire that snapped at her ankles or the smoke that stung her eyes. The blaze clung to any plants it could, climbing higher and higher as it dropped smoldering embers to the ground below. Their hisses as they hit water and mud were swallowed by the roaring of the inferno, adding little to the cacophony. "Flamey!" Green shouted, a hand to her mouth. Her Pokemon had fallen somewhere around here and she'd be damned to just let him burn.

Rounding more trees the trainer has no idea how deep she had traversed into the forest. It didn't matter. She had to find him at any cost. A blazing branch creaks above her and, with a loud snap, falls free from its perch and plummets straight toward her. With a gasp Green bolts to the side, rolling across cinder strewn grass into a small pocket of clear, albeit smoky, grass. "That was too close." She wheezes, rubbing any embers from her person.

"Green.." The weak voice is like a roar over her translator, turning the trainers head in all directions as she looks for the source. She does not have to look far. The space was only big enough for her to lay out completely and on the other side of the pocket lies her beautiful bird in a heap of lost feathers. With a gasp of relief she shoulders her way toward him, only to be stopped as he gives a warning chirp. "Flamey.. Are you okay?" She asks as her worry grows more intense. The smoke was beginning to work on her lungs and choke her out. They had to get out fast and an injury would not help.

The Talonflame puffed up his feathers and shook his head to reposition them all. "Im okay," he puffed, moving no further, "But we need to leave. Now." His yellow eyes blazed with a seriousness that was uncharacteristic. Green pulled her hand back hesitantly. The prankster, the d-bag, her partner just broke character- something was wrong other then the blaze that surrounded them.
"What are you talking about?" She pressed, reaching for her Pokeball's. If they had to move this talk they would. Before she can grab either his or Jiggly's Flamey spread his wings wide and cawed, the feathery spread below him losing its shimmery glow. Roost? I thought that was the fires reflection. How badly had he been hurt that he had to Roost?

The spread had done more then revitalize her bird. In his movement he knocked not only some feathers away but also some debris. Beside him she could see something that looked oddly familiar. The shape, curl, it was like a flo- Green's watering eyes widened as Flamey pulled his wings back in, realizing what he had done. "Fla-" she starts, gasping hard in horror and smoke filled air.

He hasn't the chance to reply. Crashing roars over the flames as the Tropius torpedoes its way into their space. Powerful streams of air follow its force, throwing embers at them while blowing any unfixed item away. Green tipped over, catching herself roughly on one arm while the other protected her face. The sizzling grass burned but she took no notice as one image filled her sights from between her fingers. "Rosy...." Behind the bird lay the charred body.

She.. had burned to death? Oh my gods.. The Tropius roared, bucking its short legs while furiously flapping its wings to bring up a windstorm. Flamey shrieked back, his caw staggering, while doing much of the same. A ball of fire forms in his beak as he lifts from the ground and hits the undead point blank in the side of the face. It pulls away, turning round while the fire stream incinerates one of its wings. One of the beasts wings swings with it and whacks the Talonflame back before it takes off back through the trees.

Green sat crumpled on the blazing forest floor. Not once did her eyes leave the sight of fallen Pokemon even long after her vision had blurred. The Tropius's cries faded as it charged back toward the other Pokemon but she did not hear it. "Green!" Her other companion squawks, panic edging his voice. "Im sorry I- I'll explain later. We have to go." Without waiting for her response the Talonflame gripped her shoulders and took wing into the trees. The trainer was going to protest, to scream they couldn't leave her, when unspeakable dread chocked out all other thoughts.
The Roserade stood, head hanging awkwardly, and bolted after the Tropius.

The Great Marsh [Tram Station] | Night
    Eleroo 71 | Seek 62

The Machamp said nothing, giving no civilized response as it stomped and turned to face him. For a few seconds Eleroo's gaze was locked in his and couldn't be torn away. The enraged creatures eyes were blazing with fury, like small white stars deep in his sockets. Asura? A deep fear petrified the small Radeon. Those were not the eyes of a sane creature, not of his friend. They were like that of the undead, or worse! Forever passes before he makes low grunts and turns away. As soon as his paws respond the Radeon scurries away into the nearest clump of brush. Had he nearly been walloped? Asure was his friend. He wouldn't do that! Would he..? Something wrong. Is he.. one of them?
The thought it is too much for him. Panic quickens his already rapid heart and intensifies the pain across his body. The ground wasn't moving but his trembling paws dropped him onto his belly as not to collapse. Everything goes blank around him and turns into nothing a muddle of fear, danger, and assured death.

The Aiveon is thrown too and fro from the strength of the air currents. Unable to control her motions she spirals with the currents until she is so low the burst sinks her to the ground. "Ahh!" She squeaks as as needle-like pain jabs her all across her pelt. Dirt and grass scuff her fur, thrown wildly in the Air Slashes, but she cant think about that now as the damn creature gives another threatening roar. Are we screwed? Another sound racks her ears, similar to the last she had heard, and Seek turns her head to find Asura in the.. sky? How had the Machamp become airborne! It only lasts for a moment before he and the Tropius plummet to the ground in a heap of muscles. Legends that had to hurt!

Luckily, Asura stands, albeit with some difficulty. Such an amazing strike must of taken some strength and a fall like that had to of hurt like a truck. To still be standing must mean he held some massive power. He's amazing! Unfortunately, the Tropius stood as well. One of its wings was snapped and broken, its rotten skin hanging in places it wasn't before. It didn't seem to of taken much damage from the actual attack but the fall definitely hadn't done it any services. Its hate filled eyes swept across the living Pokemon before turning to the blazing wood. With one last roar it manages to get back to its remaining wings disappears into the trees, retreating but clearly not defeated.

Standing herself up Seek panted with effort. She had barely done anything but was nearly beat herself. "Not yet my friends! We are in the lead!" The dragon called out to the other Pokemon while setting up a decoy. Yeah, yeah! They were so close that they couldn't give up now. "Right! It'll be back, we have to end it or we're done for!" Taking a step back the Aiveon prepared to jump back into the air but her wings seared with pain on the first flap. Checking them over she was grateful to see they were not broken, but the pain was too great to allow for flight. She would have to remain grounded for the time being. "Dang.." Looking around she hopes to find something, anything for them to use to beat the beast. Shenron's beacon drew in any remaining undead, making them easy targets for the Charizard instead of small threats to them all. Maybe they could use that on the Tropius?

Sucking in a sharp breath Seek bundles closer to the Machamp and Sylveon, ready to make a suggestion when Felix gets to it first, "Asura! If you can hear me, I need your help. If you have enough strength left to keep a hold of the tropius, I can use my last moonblast to finish it off." Slowing down the flying type completely disregards her own plan; Felix's would work better and with less risk. "I'll keep it distracted long enough for you to grab it. Asura, lets finish this puke off." Steadying herself Seek pointed off into a gap in the trees, "That's were it came from the first time. I bet it'll come from there again once it turns around." With that hurt wing it wouldn't get up very far in the sky. It would be forced to stay within the treeline and look low once it was out. So the first thing it saw would probably be its next target, right? I'd be a sitting target. There was no way she could fight it in her current state, or at all for that matter. "I-I better get out of the way."

Nearly on cue the Tropius roars again as she pelts off. Her pace quickens as she heads straight for some shrubbery. My fur is too bright. Even at a distance the thing might focus on her simply from visibility. Diving into the plant Seek flips and turns to watch the fight but is met with battery of paws and kicks. Instinctively, she sinks her fangs into the closest thing she can grab and it gives a sharp, "Ow!" Upon recognition she released the Radeon's wrist but she does not speak with apology. "Eleroo!" She barks, straining to see him in the dark, "Whats the matter with you?" Pulling his limbs away from her the Radeon curled them in tightly and stared at the female with wide, panicked eyes. He said nothing else and simply clamped his jaw shut. "Eleroo?" His pupils kept moving from dilated to contracted, an odd thing in general but even stranger in such darkness, before she could question him further.. it came.

The Tropius burst back out of the trees with a deafening roar. The flames had not been its friend, scoring deep wounds along face and other wings. It could barely keep itself the few feet off the ground that it was and kicked wildly as areas of its flesh smoldered. "There it is!" Seek gasped but, as daunting as it was, her eyes were drawn to another much smaller shape. Behind it, another Pokemon charged from the woods, its movements quick but stumbling. What is that? Its skin was dark green and blackened, near invisible in the night if not for the blaze. It leaped, landing squarely on the Tropius back before pummeling it with one oozing hand. The large undead gave a shrill wail, thrashing its neck around to grab at the pest before veering into a tree. The smaller Pokemon continues to strike, knocking the beast to the ground before it grips her in its maw. "Oh legends," Seek gasped, finally getting a decent view of the Roserade. It's one of Green's Pokemon!

Shenron turned to the Machamp's yells and flinched. What on this good Earth?! Had it turned? His eyes searched the creature's hide for any spots of purple or mysterious oozing wounds. There were none... Unless they were cleverly hidden beneath bindings. Enough undead crowded to his decoy. Shenron took a breath and exhaled a Flamethrower of all the searing colors of the rainbow instantly incapacitating if not killing all it touched. He coughed and pat his chest giving his flame storage time to recharge. That was a lot of build-up mixed with Leppa and Tomato berries. Not to say he was fully spent but it was considerable. Shenron turned his head to the side hearing the Tropius. It would return... He was sure. Would they be able to fight it off? Shenron curled his wings in close and growled building up heat. He didn't know yet he wanted to believe they could. Yes. Master always believed they could. No matter the odds.

The tropius was losing interest in him as it took the air. Damn it, its losing interest in me. The smoke had made it hard to spot where it was taking off to. Asura had the other undead handled, but the others need his help now. Felix ran back to where the others were. Along the way though he spotted a Pecha berry that looked safely tucked away from all the fighting and fire. Finally making it back to the others, Seek shouted out catching the Sylveon's attention. "There it is!" The fairy type was readying his last moonblast, but something even he wouldn't expect happen. Something had hopped onto the Tropius' back and started attacking it knocking it to the ground. "Oh legends," Felix then seen what it was, a roserade had attacked the Tropius, but it seemed to be in the Tropius' maw now. At this point it was to risky to use moonblast on the Tropius without hitting the Roserade. Damned coward, I can't get a decent shot without hitting that Roserade. The eeveelution thought of the possibility of it using the Roserade as a shield to guard its head. The Fairy Type didn't like it and had to think of another way.

Staring at it made the Sylveon think it was mocking him after that little distraction he tried to pull. "Clever for an undead I'll give you that, but you won't be leaving here to harm anyone else." Of course Felix had a little respect for it using Green's roserade as a shield. Now he felt needing to ask Seek for any way to get around from hitting the Roserade. "Seek! I can't hit it from this point, Is there any way around it to force it to release the Roserade?" Knowing that if he tried to fire his attack it would kill the Roserade instead of the Tropius, his only chance is to wait for Seek's answer. Looking around for the larvitar, Felix had realized that there's a bit of sand on the ground. He's not here anymore, did he escape? Turning his attention back to the tropius it was closer to him and its stare was locked onto the Sylveon. "Try it, I got a fairy wind with your name on it." Felix was staring right into its eyes waiting for it to try another razor leaf.

Rosy.. her sweet flower, the mother to her team, the kindest of her Pokemon.. was one of them. A hollow feeling radiated from Green's stomach more intensely then Kitty's passing. Watching her precious feline die had been devastating enough, but to see Rosy both dead and alive.. words were enough. "Green," Flamey sighed, his voice tired, "I.. she didn't want you to see this." Two of her Pokemon had known about this? That she had let the disease into her team? Green's next breath in rattles her frame but she manages a labored, "What happened," just loud enough for the bird to hear.

Pounding his wings harder the Talonflame rode the warm air until he was high above the trees. "She had a wound," he explained, the devastation clear in the usually comedic Pokemon's voice. "We both knew what it meant, where it would go. She didn't anyone to see her like that. Especially you." The birds movements slowed and his wings steadied out to a glide as his voice grew even more grave, "She asked for a mercy kill. Begged even! ..and I acquiesced." Something shriveled deep in her chest. Flamey, a teammate and friend, had killed her. Its not like that.

Heavy seconds passed and both had fallen silent. Who knows how much time she would of had; it would of come to this eventually. To try and spare everyone that pain.. She thought about others until the end. Gritting her teeth Green fights back the sensation of tears. She would not cry, she couldn't, but the crushing defeat was too much.
"I.. I guess.. I held back with my Steel Wing.." The awkward position.. Her neck hadn't fully been broken. His strike would of been enough on any other Pokemon but a plant would need full removal. He couldn't do that to her.

Soaring slowly above the battlefield both trainer and Pokemon alike were unable to look away from their friend as she attacked the Tropius. Is she still in there? The virus would take over soon enough but it hadn't had proper time yet to do so. She was fighting with them. But for how long?
    Green's breath hitches.
She would have to put her down again. She couldn't ask her team to do so. By her own hands would she be down another Pokemon.

    Eleroo 72 | Seek 63

This wasn't good. This wasn't good at all! The Tropius trashed, its decrepit body still putting up a difficult fight despite all they'd done. The Roserade struggled to avoid the brutes attacks while holding onto her target. Why wont it just die! The faint purple glow of her petals meant little of the Poison Jabs couldn't connect! She's gonna need help.. But what could she do? Nothing she had did anything to it and she wasn't that strong! Seek's paws trembled beneath her and the bush hissed softly. With a sudden flinch Eleroo let out a long whine but his voice still seemed to be lost. What had frightened him so badly? "Relax Eleroo," she said dryly, shifting closer to his shaking body, "We'll get through this. I.. I promise."

A lump knotted up in her throat. Would she be able to keep that? Is Felix and Asura couldn't finish the thing off their was little she could do. As if on cue Felix came straight to her hiding place, his expression clearly concerned. "Seek! I can't hit it from this point, Is there any way around it to force it to release the Roserade?" "Uhh..." Shenron, maybe? No, the Charizard was busy keeping them safe from the other undead. Asura could jump on it again. But then the Roserade would still be in the way. Shaking her head to and fro the Aiveon couldn't think of anything. At the treeline the Tropius and Roserade could still he heard screaming. She was getting hurt bad.. "Just hit it with anything! She's a trained Pokemon; she can dodge." Desperation painted itself across her face as she wailed. "Hurry, we don't have time!"

It wasn't safe. It wasn't safe. This place, this shrub, these Pokemon. Everything was going to get him! Gotta hide. Gotta hide somewhere. But he was already hiding, he had already found cover! Why didn't it feel safe? Why wouldn't this feeling just go away..? Seek pressed herself on him even more and kept him close to the ground. He couldn't move, he wouldn't even twitch other then his tail that was lashes out furiously behind him.

His lungs were filling and draining so fast the kit started to dry heave. The hard spasms brought with them an involuntary Toxic. The thick purple goo dribbled to the ground, hissing as it met dirt and plant life. Gagging, the Radeon choked and coughed clots of purple ooze. Why couldn't he breathe. Why couldn't he calm down. What the hell was happening..?

((Sorry, passed out last night and got dragged out again today @__@)

    Great Marsh|Night (38)

Shenron continued building heat but kept his head up listening. A Roserade perched on the Tropius. They were on equal footing in terms of type so the little bouquet Pokemon was grasping at straws. An infected broke the line and charged only to be met by Shenron's foot making it one with the muddy Earth. Wait, mud... Mud slowed movement... That meant nothing n the air! The next infected charged getting mud slapped into its eyes. Shenron observed his experiment screech and blindly paw at its eyes. Maybe if they blinded the Tropius then attacked it would work. His mind wondered to Eleroo. The little Poison type would be vulnerable to the mud... Shenron shook his head. Then weakening its wing joints further? Heck he'd rather take them off! Shenron scanned the crowd and grinned cracking his knuckles. Oh well. Who's next?

It was a showdown and either the Tropius or Sylveon would walk away from this one. "Just hit it with anything! She's a trained Pokemon; she can dodge." Upon hearing that, the sylveon had grinned at the response. Now Felix wasn't going to hold anything back. "Hurry, we don't have time!" One moonblast left and if he misses then its up to the others to finish it off. It cannot be allowed to follow them if they escape from this fire. "Alright, you're going down Tropius." It roars at Felix as they lock in combat. Fairy wind and razor leaves was used by both and so far Felix was luring it away from everyone. "Come on tough guy is that all you got?" As he finally found an opening in its attacks this was a good time to time it. Watching it taking time to draw its head back from lunging, the sylveon had figured out that it had a major weak point that he can use against it.

Felix began readying his moonblast as the Tropius took to the air and was about to dive bomb him. The Fairy type was standing still giving it a clear target to attack, but it was all a ploy to take it out while it came down at him. That's it come at me you rotten freak. The flames began licking at the wings as it began to dive at Felix. The Sylveon was waiting for it to get a little closer before he fired seeing the roserade was on it still. If you're still in there please dodge this attack. Then Felix released the moonblast aimed right at its head. The tropius was coming in to fast to dodge the attack and took a direct hit to the head as Felix moved out of the way as it crash landed right where he once stood. Was it dead or did he weaken it enough to have someone finish it off. It was hard to tell, but the roserade wasn't harmed from the attack. "Is...it over?" Felix was taking deep breaths after that attack. To bad he didn't know hyper beam then he'd definitely do more damage. Waiting for the others to investigate.

    The Great Marsh || Night

Rosy clung to the Tropius like a Mankey, her flowered fist repeatedly striking it in the back with Poison Jabs. It bucked and kicked, struggling to remove its aggressor to no avail. While the Tropius' neck was still nimble it couldn't quite grab the Roserade as she moved from its shoulder blades to beat on its wings. It bellowed, flapping them frantically enough to barely manage lift, but even that could not remove her.

Another Pokemon called out, yelling and bringing attention to itself. The Tropius gave another cry and tried to rise higher, but with its tattered wings it could not go above the branches that scorched its rotten flesh. It seemed to stagger mid-air but Rosy clasped on like a burr, thanks to her powerful thorns, and refused to be thrown off as it charged the Sylveon.
With its attention diverted the Roserade gave her own guttural cry as she struck at the base of one of its wings until it snapped. Her burnt, blackened hand was oozing, the petals falling from their host at the over exertion of PP, but she did not let up.

Even as the Tropius took a massive critical hit to the face.

The force was enough to throw her to the ground below it. The dinosaur bellowed and flailed, its body quickly plummeting to the earth. Its broken wings were no longer able to support it but, even if they weren't, there was no stopping this fall. Rosy recovered herself, standing weakly, and looked at the massive shape coming toward her.

Time seemed to stop for the Roserade. Her red eyes had been looking at the Tropius but moved to a smaller shape just beyond it. Illuminated by the flames Rosy could see her partner and trainer flying toward the battle, pain plastered across their faces. Green.. She had endured so much, struggled so hard, and suffered more this last day then any person should. Realization came back to Rosy, of what she had asked and what would happen.
She could not let that happen.

Poison splurged and built in her tattered hand, any remaining PP piling up for a single burst. She would make sure to end it this time. Looking away from the human she jumped with her remaining strength, arm extended, and drove it into the Tropius with all her might. Closing her eyes as they fell together one last thought passed through her mind before the Tropius fell on top of her, severing what was left of her damaged neck.

    Im sorry.

Green stared, mortified, as the shadow of her Pokemon disappeared beneath the Tropius' fallen corpse. "Rosy!" She screamed, emotion choking her usually stoic voice. Flamey brought her low enough for her feet to touch the ground and the instant they brushed against the scrubby grass she took off running.
As she approached the beast's body the word came again as a wheeze, "Rosy..." A bouquet of bloodied flowers poked out from under the dinosaur.  In that moment she didn't care about any danger, she didn't care if the Tropius was still alive and attacked her. She didn't care if she died. A cold fist clasp around her organs and tugged at her heart. A feeling she had had all too recently.

"Is...it over?" A Pokemon breathed nearby, its attention firmly on the beast. Slow tromping steps and soft wing beats sound behind the human as Blasty comes up to her and Flamey comes to rest upon him. "M'lady," he murmured softly, clearly searching for some comfort, but the Trainer did not divert her eyes from petals on the ground. "At least she.. didn't have to.. suffer." Flamey's words came on a heavy sigh, the weight of what he tried to prevent obvious.

But she did. Green knew she did. How could she of not? I failed you too.. She stood like a stone staring at that one spot. Time ticked by but it felt like only a second stretched on forever. Flamey shifted slightly on Blasty's cannon and the clinking of his talons finally seemed to stir her.
Pointing at the blaze behind them she muttered, "Blasty, put out the flames." Luckily, the fire was already starting to die back, its fuel cut off by marsh water. With a nod Blasty acknowledged her before turning toward the flames and firing off his cannons. Flamey had hopped off him to favor the ground but he could not make eye contact with his devastated trainer. With her eyes still on the ground Green turned away from the corpse and walked a few feet before whispering, "Finish it, Flamey."

He knew what she meant though his eyes still went a little wide. Lifting off from the ground he circled the bodies. A stream of fire came from his beak, sizzling the rotten flesh and slowly forcing it to ignite. The bird continued his fiery assault until the pyre managed by itself and circled back to land on the roof.

Green did not move from her new spot though she did turn to watch the pyre. Her eyes were glued to the dancing orange shapes, unblinking. Blasty, having finished his job, turned back to the rest of the Pokemon and spoke solemnly. "It would not be wise to stay out any longer." His dark eyes rested on both partners, studying their broken faces. It had been a long day.

(That worked great Shadow, thank you.)

The Great Marsh [Tram Station] | Night
    Eleroo 73 | Seek 64

Seek watches with saucer eyes as both undead fall still. When Green runs up to them, her Pokemon close behind, she can not help but feel security in the action and slowly creeps out from hiding place with Eleroo in tow. However, as she pads closer, its quickly becomes clear that this wasn't just the end of the terrible battle. "At least she.. didn't have to.. suffer." She hears the Talonflame sob and a needle jabs her in the heart. Beside her Eleroo's shaking was getting even worse, his massive eyes locked on the trainer. "Don't look," she whispered at him, turning the poison type around before blocking his vision with her wings.

He just kept shaking until his jelly legs pushed his belly against the ground. She was.. one of them? The Roserade had been acting strange, what with not even remotely taking trainer instructions, but to be one of them? She was, she was alive. She- More involuntary gagging breaks his thoughts, the Toxic bubbling up from deep in his twisting stomach. Why..? The crackling of flames grows closer, its warmth almost palpable. Why must there be so much killing.. Heavy steps shake the ground out of sync with his own trembling, and the Radeon quickly throws his head up, expecting the worst. "It would not be wise to stay out any longer." It was Green's Blastoise and his voice was weighted. Eleroo did not need to be told twice but his legs refused to move.

Seek tried to look past the huge turtle, her eyes locked on the pyre. "But.. she.." She sniveled, vainly trying to process everything. Without he forest fire only the pyre offered light, and without the fighting of other undead a quiet came. It wasn't silent but without the excess noise it was an eerie feeling just standing there in the dark, like something even worse would happen if they remained. "Yeah.." she yielded, turning her head away from the Blastoise. Raising her voice a little, as there wasn't much to talk over, she uttered, "Come on, everyone, lets head in." Nudging Eleroo she recoiled silently at him, once again, vomiting. Pushing the feeling away and grabbed his ear and tugged, forcing him to shaky paws before shoving him toward the building. After a few uneven steps the Radeon bolted, reaching their shelter in a matter of seconds. The corners of Seek's face sunk. Something had spooked him.. hopefully he would feel better by morning.

Making her own way toward the shelter the Aiveon looked around for anything they might of missed. With the trees smoldering out the pyre became the only thing to really look at, though it wasn't a pleasant sight. Green still stood in that one spot, not moving, not talking. "What about, her?" Seek started to ask but stopped herself. She didn't doubt Green could handle herself, or that her Pokemon could protect her. She did the same thing earlier and it'd be best to leave her be, so the Aiveon turned and padded inside.

The floor was hard and dry, a stark change from the marshy peat outside. There was a small pile of objects in the center of the room but most things had been shoved to the side and gave everyone plenty of space to rest for the night. Finding Eleroo huddled up along the wall she padded over and sighed. She had had a ton of terrible days but this was definitely one of the worst. A shudder traveled down her spine as her paw brushed the tiniest fragment of glass. Yeah, one of the worst. Hopefully that creepy Sceptile wouldn't think to come back here during the night.

When she made it over to Eleroo it was clear that he was still a mess. He was picking needles from his shoulder, some of his wounds were even still oozing, and stiffly curled into a tight little ball. Shifting around uncomfortably Seek flopped down beside the Radeon, curling tightly around him. The hard concrete was not the best material for their much needed rest and she couldn't help but grunt at its hard feeling. Wait.. A pang jabbed her heart when she recalled Rosy had been the one gathering, or creating in her case, bedding for them all. "I guess she.. never made those petals.." she mumbled softly to herself but the words finally seemed to stir Eleroo. He moved the paw from his eyes and pointed gingerly toward some of the boxes. "Papers," he breathed, "Papers for bedding. Over there." The feeling in her heart tightened. "That's alright," she whispered back, licking his cheek gently, "I have you, and we'll be okay." Resting her head on his flank the Aiveon tried her best to relax as Eleroo curled closer to her. Today was supposed to be the easy one.. what hell would tomorrow bring?

    Great Marsh|Night (39)

Shenron turned from the fleeing undead to the pyre. Well that was that. He stomped over and frowned. What was that? The faint lovely scent of blooms? Didn't the trainer have a Roserade? His gaze fell and a pang of helplessness hit his chest. Had. Shenron looked at the trainer not even able to imagine how upsetting that must be. He lowered his head in respect for a few moments before turning away. His body was a bit achy now. Maybe for once he was actually tired and needed more then a little nap. Though napping reminded him that it was very late... They should probably turn in for the night... Shenron stepped inside and dimmed his tail flame before yawning. "In the morning... Things will be ok. One of us can make the trek to Pastoria to get rations and such..." He didn't dare say that things would be better. Cause it may not be... Shenron laid down curling his tail in close but still expending body heat before closing his eyes.
