    Great Marsh|Afternoon (68)

    Shenron raised his paw as Seek squeezed past him. "Wait, kit! Eleroo! Come back!" He stepped after him but immediately the rain sizzling on his hide made him step back. Shenron began pacing once more just out of the rains' reach. His eyes were fixed on the Floatzel never losing sight of him for a moment. Though his peripheral vision stayed on the kit ready to risk hide and claw to jump in should he be targeted. Though the Floatzel brought up a good point. Were there perhaps more of man hidden? Asura's human looked capable to be the last of them left alive for sure but humans had their inventions. The sticks that threw stones fast enough to pierce a hide. Their homes underground impervious to even an Electrode going off. There could be packs of them out there ready to come back for all they knew! Still a part of him worried they may have intruded on someone else's shelter... Someone with a lot of others.

    ❖ The Great Marsh + Terminal Building Floor 1 + Noon + 28 ❖

    Uxie had hardly finished speaking before Eleroo dashed out into the driving storm. He followed along, drifting lazily over Shenron to station himself just outside the shelter of the building. The Floatzel was driven away but swiftly recovered itself, showing off with an incredible dashing speed. Swift Swim. The first hit had been situational; to catch it now would be a challenge. It continued to attack, though whether it was offensive or defensive, Uxie could not tell.

    Even from his position the legend could see the team was split; half were reluctant to strike while the rest were fully prepared. Their reasonings were their own, along with their affairs, but such a rift in their tactics would only cause discourse. After witnessing Eleroo's drastic change from realization the psychic felt a responsibility to offer said knowledge freely. It would make no difference to him if it prevented the fighting or not but at least showing his cards could change the coming outcome of the differing ideals. Moving into the rainfall Uxie faced the Floztzel and spoke clearly.

    "Let these ones pass," he started, hovering low to appear even less threatening than his facade displayed. "They know not what they've done." The Floatzel stared him down as though giving his words consideration. Further explanations were prepared once the creature seemed ready, but that moment never came. The Floatzel's gums pulled back and its face filled with anger. "You think ignorance is an excuse?!" It sprinted forward with boiling water pulsing from its maw. Banking to the side the legend dodged the stream with ease, but he hadn't predicted its follow-up attack.

    Leaping, the Floatzel twisted around to hit him back toward the earth with its tails. Instantaneously, Uxie blinked, teleporting just a few metered away to avoid the strike, but it was too late. In that split second his tails made contact with the opposing Pokemon's, and when his form reappeared his guise had fallen. The Floatzel turned with its claws and fangs bared, but the moment it spotted him it's visage changed to that of horror. "You're.. you're..!" It took a step back, recalculated its position, and sprinted away into the heart of the city.

    The Great Marsh [Terminal] || Noon [Storming]
    Eleroo 101 || Seek 92

    Seek stood as firmly as possible and her thin chest could be seen heaving with each breath. Eleroo thought she started this? It was the Floatzel that attacked them. That made it his fault! Though cold, the relatively warmer rain was starting to melt the ice that dappled her pelt and the Aiveon was recovering from the initial shock. The Floatzel bounced around, ready to keep rattling the team as he spouted, "You all have no place here. Leave!" Giving her wings a hard thrust the Aiveon hissed when she realized they were too weighted-down to lift her. Resigning to her stationary position she could only give the water type a sinister glare as she roared, "Who are you to decide that?!"

    It looked at her, perhaps considering a reply or another attack to go her way, but another Pokemon interrupted her rant. "Let these ones pass," Abra said as it moved to a concerningly vulnerable position. "They know not what they've done." Any hairs in her pelt that weren't plastered down by rain or mud stood as tall as possible. What. It was supposed to be on their side and it called them fools??
    Eleroo bound across the way to hunch by R'hia and Seek, worry edging every aspect of him. Please.. please don't make it worse. The psychic knew what he was talking about, right? So why did he have to sound so dickish about it? the Floatzel must of felt the same way, as it tried to attack him after an outburst. Luckily, Abra's signature teleporting let him port to safety, but when Eleroo turned his head it was not the familiar Pokemon he saw.

    The Floatzel stopped dead, suddenly horror stricken. "You're.. you're..!" It barely managed to choke out before hightailing it from whence it came. "Yeah, you better run." Seek boasted, but Eleroo could not share in her excitement. Even as the thing ran away he could feel nothing but dread. There was no satisfaction in its departure, nor did it seem sufficed with the short battle. It was scared.. That was worse than angering it, worse than wounding it. To be feared, they were now a real threat, a real danger that had to be dealt with. Yet his eyes were still locked on the strange, unfamiliar Pokemon that hovered by them. "Who.. what?" He questioned just above a whisper, and subtle words were enough to cut into Seek's victory chant.

    She turned her head slowly while her eyes watched the swiftly vanishing shape of the Floatzel, and muttered, "Eleroo what are you-" She stopped herself short as she spotted the unknown Pokemon. It, well, what the heck was it? "The heck," she huffed, not impressed or fearful until Eleroo tentatively asked, "Abra?" "Abra?" She echoed, not really understanding. Had it done something to the psychic? No, Eleroo wasn't acting right for that. Was it Abra? "What the heck are you?" She demanded, rounding her question to get some kind of answer.

    Great Marsh|Afternoon (69)

    Shenron watched the event unfold before him. It seemed like an eternity almost. Then after a particularly long blink, Shenron found himself staring at a Pokemon legend's told him was nothing more then a mirage. Not many had seen the Pokemon was all. His mouth suddenly felt dry and he couldn't form words. This was a Legendary! The Being of Knowledge itself! Shenron could not offer more then a curt nod of respect before watching the Floatzel take off. That was odd. No. That was bad! If there were others in the city it was working with... The Floatzel could rally them against all of them! Shenron gritted his teeth hoping that was not the case but he was terrified for once in his life to be correct about something. Floatzels could congregate in a romp of their kin in very large numbers. If there were that many then there wasn't a Psychi's chance in Giratina's realm they'd survive.

    The Great Marsh – Terminal || Afternoon
    Asura 34 || R'hia 10

    Tending to Seek (rather, keeping an eye on her), she couldn’t help but notice that- while she was a trooper, the Eeveelution had a level of bravado to her that borderlined on foolishness. But perhaps it could lead to plenty of bravery at least, if she grows to be aware of the situations that call for it. Asura and the Floatzel trade blows, and there was a clear edge shown to be on Asura’s side. The water type seemed to weather the blow well enough, though… "You all have no place here. Leave!"

    No place? It isn’t wrong about that, but… The human stands tall. Throwing her voice over the rain as best as she can. Her words carry frustration, and a desolate truth. ”Then tell me, where do ANY of us have a place in this world anymore?! There were no such places that ‘belonged’ to others. In all her time, she’d seen what happens when someone- man or Pokemon, tries to claim land once again. Sooner or later, someone or something goes awry, and… There simply isn’t anyone that can so easily stake claims and just… leave harm to fall upon others.

    Asura could understand such sentiments as well, having fought against many who had staked a land as their own. He keeps eyes on the Floatzel, who barrels forward with no clear target at first. His body sluggish after such a full-bodied effort, all he can do for the time being is ensure an avoidance of the strike- though a target is swiftly chosen, and it is not he. The Abra seems to have no trouble just blinking away- speaking of blinking… Asura first thinks his eyes have fooled him, but it does indeed appear that after the attempted strike, the ‘Abra’ had shifted, and not into some sort of evolution. Seek and Eleroo seemed occupied for bug a few more moments, the Floatzel fleeing at the newly formed sight of the changed… being. Even Asura showed some hesitation- not sure why, but he knew the one before him was the only one to exist, and was able to be mightier than any there in all likelihood. As if it were instinct.

    "What the heck are you?" Seek echoed out loud the thoughts of many there already, while R’hia only stood there. She was somewhat awestruck- how many humans had witnessed one of these, and at this point, in this world, how many of those few even remained? She had heard of the trio, the incident with Team Galactic. Their names were spoken of when she was in school still- even if she couldn’t believe it then, here the being is, now.

    ”Uxie?”

    ((OOC: I wasn’t quite sure how to handle this- the legend, that is. Abilities of memory eradication, but I didn’t see on the profile anywhere that humans were or were not aware of their existence, so I went ahead and made an assumption that they are indeed aware after the Galactic events. If Uxie should not be a known name, please let me know and I can adjust accordingly!))

    The Great Masrh|Afternoon
    35

    The Floatzel wasn't having any of it. It was as if he was passing judgment on them without considering the lives of a ragtag bunch of pokemon ."You all have no place here. Leave!" The hell is he going to leave. True the city would be more dangerous, but so was being in the middle of nowhere with no food or water. Considering that the Floatzel was extremely territorial, it wouldn't go down without a fight. Seek had responded with a comment of her own. "Who are you to decide that?!" Was she trying to make it worse? Felix wasn't going to back down though. There was a time he wanted to leave, but there was a reason why he's there. Its movement though was extremely hard to follow as its ability made it move with ease in this weather. The rain soaked ground just made it hard for them to keep up all except the abra. "Let these ones pass," What was next said may have been a bit over exaggerated. "They know not what they've done." Felix had bet Seek would react to that.

    For a moment there looked like there was some consideration, but instead it pissed off the Floatzel even more. "You think ignorance is an excuse?!" Seemingly the abra had to deploy some evasion. Felix couldn't believe what he seen. No way a low level pokemon could evade an attack like that. Something was indeed unusual about the abra. Soon the answer would reveal itself. The Floatzel attempted to knock the abra back down to the ground. For a split second, it looked like it missed and what reappeared was not an abra, but a legendary. Could it be one of the legendaries fabled in the many stories that he was told a long time ago? The fight ended in a more unexpected way that the floatzel had fear written on its face. "You're.. you're..!" After that, it fled toward the city's center. There must been a reason why it was trying to keep them out. Felix's only guess was it was the undead have control over it and the floatzel was trying to stop them from entering. "Yeah, you better run." Seek barked out.

    However, Eleroo was showing confusion trying to figure out who or what they was seeing. "Who.. what?" Answers was likely needed to explain this occurrence. "Eleroo what are you-" Seek then tried to ask Eleroo something until she looked at the exact pokemon that Eleroo was. "What the heck are you?" Felix couldn't answer them directly with the type of pokemon that was in their presence. How to explain it though was only by a simple put being of knowledge. R'hia however knew the name exactly off the bat. ”Uxie?” So that's the being the knowledge. The Sylveon finally got to meet a legendary, but in the oddest of moments. Right now though, they need to get out of the rain. The longer they stay out in it, the colder it felt.

    Felix started to cough a bit from his illness that was developing further. "I hate to interupt, but we should probably head back inside to dry out before we start getting to cold from being soaked." Answers would have to wait until then, but for now, it would be time to dry out. Maybe they could get some intel on the city and where to stay away from. The Fairy type's experience told him that buildings with holes and broken windows was likely a place for undead to reside. However it was up to the psychic type to share some with them or not. "I never thought I'd meet a legendary out here of all places. Likely you must be trying to find out what you can from what's going on." Felix said to Uxie. In this day and age, they've all been fighting for their lives and surely the legendaries have been too. For what its worth though they've been graced by Uxie. Now that he said it, maybe he'll ask Uxie something later on after getting dried off.

    ❖ Pastoria City + Terminal Building Floor 1 + Noon + 29 ❖

    Uxie blinked his eyes, though the action was not discernible to others as they were already closed to the waking world. The Floatzel had gone, its reaction intimately fearful as it retreated, and while the remaining Pokemon gave equal responses they were not of the same stance. The eeveelutions bantered with confusion, their exposure to the use of a guise presumably lacking, while the rest stared on in silence. The quieter of the two sought answers hesitantly, but it was the audacious one that was candid with her demand. "What the heck are you?"

    In most situations the legend was, simply put, unaffected by near all stimuli, regardless if it was an epidemic, an intruder to his home, or an ignorant, rude child. To respond to such an insolent request was beneath him, and an explanation of sorts would come on his own terms. The human member of the ragtag band was the only other to speak up, and her question came much more tentatively. ”Uxie?”

    Lingering on where the Floatzel had been just a moment longer Uxie was certain it had made its exit, and turned with a slow nod to the human. "That is I," he said plainly, the choice to answer being his own. "Being of Knowledge, protector of Lake Acuity." The embellishment of his legendary status was not said but implied, and the faces of those who knew spoke what was not.

    Though such a revelation would be a clear shock to the mortals it was not the question of his endeavors or appearance in this arbitrary town that should be their first priority. The culprit who had brought them all out into the storm had disappeared and spoke of ill tidings for the very near future. "However, such trivial matters should not be your concerns, as that resident has likely gone to inform its associates."

    The roaring boom of thunder called out in the heavens for the first time in recent events. It was louder than before, as though a new storm cloud had been born closer than those prior. The season has only just begun. There was no doubt in the legends mind that the Floatzel would return with reinforcements. Felix entreated them to return indoors, his growing aversion for the rain becoming ever more apparent, and the legend made the logical movement without need for any further consideration.

    The drafty shelter did little for the chill in the air, but depending on the spot one was staying it would suffice for a short stay. It would no doubt be better than having water beat down upon them, but how it would withstand an invasion was another matter entirely. Having removed himself from the rain Felix immediately changed tactics and voiced his intrigue. He did not turn when he answered, as the question held little interest. "The pursuit of knowledge knows no bounds and should not be limited to one dimension."

    (Your post is fine, R'hia. I would assume knowledge of legends/their appearance is unique to each individual for whether they know or not. As for the Galatic event, I would assume the same principle; if they had heard about it or not [with exact details being lost over time] being unique to any one person.)

    The Great Marsh [Terminal] || Afternoon [Storming]
    Eleroo 102 || Seek 93

    Seek stared at the weird Pokemon, blue eyes blazing, and found her hackles rising as it did not respond to her. Seriously? It was surrounded and wouldn't even speak up? R'hia said something, a name maybe, and while there was still a delay the thing finally responded. "That is I," it said, seeming so self-righteous the Aiveon thought she would puke. "Being of Knowledge, protector of Lake Acuity." It took several more moments before she could connect that yes, this thing was Abra like Eleroo mumbled, and that it was talking the same weird way. Somehow, it was the same Pokemon.

    The Floatzel had all but left her mind as a sudden fury clouded all thoughts and Seek released a flurry of questions. "What's going on? How were you an Abra? Why do you look so weird now??" They were fast and intense, but this 'Uxie' didn't even look at her when it spoke again. "However, such trivial matters should not be your concerns, as that resident has likely gone to inform its associates." Trivial? "Trivial?!" She gasped, offended that not only did it ignore her, but it was also calling her questions nugatory while making itself more important. "No, no, no. You listen here and tell what in the heck just happened!"

    Eleroo shrunk away, long since conditioned by Seek's anger. "Seek.." he started meekly, believing that while her questions were valid, they were, well, poorly timed. She was practically if not screaming, which was a horrible idea right after a sneak attack. To make matters worse Felix took matters into his own paws with a beneficial suggestion. "I hate to interrupt, but we should probably head back inside to dry out before we start getting too cold from being soaked." Afraid of any further escalation the Radeon bolted for the door and squirmed past Shenron just as the flying type yowled, "We already are." With hard, dramatic steps she too stomped her way inside.

    Veering along the wall a few feet before suddenly stopping to shake out his fur Eleroo hoped the spray wouldn't hit any of his friends. His droopy ears flopped even more than his old ones did, and a shower of water flew from his pelt with more strength than he could ever remember. Such revelation would of been wonderful to revel in, but times would not allow it. Seek was pissed, again, and the Floatzel's retreat was more worrisome than revealing.
    Padding his way back to his food, though he didn't have much of an appetite anymore, the Radeon had to dodge Seek's shake off as she parked herself in the middle of the room. "Okay," she restarted, her voice strained like thin ice. Crouching low to the floor the male hoped she wouldn't overdo it. The last thing they needed was her to overdo it.. "What are you, and why did you wear a disguise thing?"

    Alright, that wasn't so bad, though Eleroo could tell the female was teetering on the edge of another rampage. Sure, the psychic had deceived them a little, but did it matter? Uxie hadn't done anything but help them, and the way he looked really didn't make a difference in that. With a deep breath in Eleroo steadied himself, and dared to speak up over Seek's coming temper. "What do we do now.. with the Floatzel... and its friends?" His big red eyes lingered toward the doorway, and another boom of thunder could be heard outside. "It'll be back. Wont it..?"

    Great Marsh|Afternoon (70)

    Shenron didn't know why but the confirmation made him pause. He had a feeling it was true but didn't want to think about it. If Legends roamed still, what were they doing? Were they attempting to right this wrong? To smite whatever entity caused it? Shenron paced inside after everyone else immediately lending his warmth to the room. He found his stash of sugary goods easily replenishing and fueling his fire. It had been cold and wet out so the heat he was appreciative of. That and he assumed others may be cold as well. After that Shenron sat nearby to listen in on the passing conversation. He did not offer or contribute knowing full well what he may want to know would possibly be asked and it seemed unnecessary and disrespectful to batter the legendary with the same question.

    The Great Marsh – Terminal || Afternoon
    Asura 35 || R'hia 11

    R'hia had a multitude of mixed feelings as Uxie took its time to confirm the identity. "That is I," It was one part kid meeting an idol, one part concern and confusion, and another part was just a silent happiness. Legends were still here. If nothing else, the legends were alive. If Uxie is alive, there have to be others. "However, such trivial matters should not be your concerns, as that resident has likely gone to inform its associates." Well, the rain was already here, may as well throw it on the parade. R'hia knew that Uxie was right- I mean, aside from the obvious reasons, doubting the being of knowledge would be a bit foolish- as surely there's plenty of wisdom to back it up.

    Felix asked the one question that R'hia realized probably SHOULDN'T be asked at this particular moment. Or perhaps, he alluded to it. She quickly worried that Seek would start interrogating what could be a small saving grace on the group. But she knows that it's a question that's crossed the path of most all those still alive- what are the Legends doing about the epidemic? Word along the rumor mill over the years is that the Legends could only do so much, that even they weren't yet able to simply clear the slate. At least, that's the assumption... if they could help, they would have by now...?

    Much to her surprise, though, Seek seemed to collect herself- asking a somewhat relevant question. R'hia could already see points to be made both for and against the need of the disguise, but at this point, is it not moot? She looked back as she got a little farther into the building, watching the rest come in, with the four armed fighter towing the rear it seems. He seemed none too thrilled about the turn of events, but he wasn't fuming either.

    He was less concerned about the legend's motives, and more concerned about the implications that his presence had. Moreover, they had gone from one hellish, wet landscape to another, but the danger was sentient this time. Arguably more dangerous than any infected is a band of the territorial living, with who knows how many more to come. "It'll be back. Wont it..?"

    Asura would consider this an easy question in most cases, but there was quite the wild card thrown into the mix. As he approached the group again, groaning from the damage he had pushed through outside, he let out a gruff sigh. "It is likely that they will. But," he looked towards Uxie, speaking of the legend, and to it. "If we are not the only ones taken by surprise by a Legend being here, they are likely to delay." He approaches Uxie directly now, speaking casually still- he'd never thought to see the Legends as something so deserving of blind praise, but even he knew that respect was something Uxie had earned. "You owe us nothing. But to hear any answers you have would be..." Asura struggled to find the word he sought, and in the end let out a huff and a nod. The "Being of Knowledge" could likely understand how much of a double edged sword any answer may be. He returned to R'hia, putting a hand on her shoulder, almost a pat as he stood by her. she'd gone out with the others, and tried to assist- he already liked her, but he respected her willingness to stay the course when she was only human.

    The Great Marsh|Afternoon

    With the Floatzel gone, they could at least relax for a while. However, Felix started coughing more. The rain soaked fur and the air outside made him feel even colder. It could just be his imagination, but then he felt sick. After that he vomited on the ground as the rain quickly started breaking it apart. The fairy type shook his head and quickly moved away from it before anyone could notice. Ugh, I better get back inside. This rain and cold air might be affecting me quite a bit. Uxie then responded to the question. "The pursuit of knowledge knows no bounds and should not be limited to one dimension." That was very true what was said. Now that Uxie did mention something about the Floatzel, they could now be needing to avoid any wide open areas in the city that lies ahead. Damn, if what Uxie said is true then we'll have to be extremely careful from now on. Those floatzels would have an advantage in this weather. If there was any chance of the ground drying out, it would have to be in the morning close to dawn.

    After making it inside, Felix was shivering really hard. A loud crack of thunder explodes outside startling the sylveon. The storm sounded like it was getting stronger again. From what it sounds like out there it could be getting really windy soon. The eeveelution shook his fur out getting the water off it. However, he was more winded than before. Just as he got to the spot he was originally laying at, he fell over hitting the floor with a thud. The coughing was beginning to become more frequent and if things came to a worse case scenario, they'll have to find some Lum berries and mix them with things. He couldn't hear what was being said with Uxie and the others. Feeling a little scared of what's going on with him, Felix wanted to call out for help. It wasn't a cold anymore, it was something much more threatening in the way of common illnesses other than the undead infection. "Someone, I'm not feeling to well. I'm cold and it feels like its getting worse for me." His wet fur spreading water on the floor didn't help either as it would make the floor slippery.

    Now helplessly laying on the floor, Felix was trying to remember what his trainer had done before that would cure this. Only thing that he could remember is that it had something to do with an ailment healing berry and either a oran or sitrus berry. Luckily he got several oran berries and a few others, but none of the other berries would do much good. It had something to do with a Lum berry, but he didn't see any outside. More spurts of coughing happened and he managed to barely hold anything left in his stomach down. What little strength he had left in him, Felix got up and went to any place inside that might feel warm. His movement however was sluggish. Hanging his head a bit low, it almost seem he was going through another episode of missing his trainer. In a sense he still did, but how would he explain it if he was asked? Not that the others haven't suffered the same thing he has, because of late many pokemon have been misplaced and some aren't native to a region they've been placed in. After hitting a small warm spot that was only a small improvement, Felix just sat there coughing and not saying another word. His thoughts once again turned back to what he missed the most. He didn't even know if his trainer would come find him like Asura's did. "Have....have I been abandoned? Do I even have a chance to know of where my trainer is? I feel alone again." Not knowing he talked out loud could be seen as a child missing a parent. In truth, Felix did feel like a child to his trainer since his trainer didn't have children of his own. Sadness mixed with coughing had made him feel worse in a way. Maybe if he asked Uxie, he could at least know where to find his missing trainer.

    When a battle ceases its reasonable for processing emotions to remain high, and though the pixie was expecting a near flurry of interrogating questions to have them come so disrespectfully was most disappointing. "Okay, what are you, and why did you wear a disguise thing?" Had this child never been exposed to knowledge of legends either? While respect came with understanding and/or age, context clues from her companions should have sufficed to curb her behavior. "Psychic's can conjure all manor of extension and facade. Such precautions are necessary to ensure my well-being."

    There was no reason to explain every facet of his motives to her but expression alone told Uxie that the repetitive questions would not end without a proper basis of understanding. "Perhaps a more candid term? I am a Legendary." To the legend, such titles were not necessary. His status came without words, and announcing what he was on every encounter was trite as well as a waste of breath and time. Either the other Pokemon picked this fact up, or they realized that other matters held significantly more importance as they moved on.

    "It would be folly not to prepare during this intermission." While his untimely reveal may have bought these Pokemon some precious little time it would not be enough to have them escape unscathed. Asura neared him, his search for the proper words clearly strained. "You owe us nothing. But to hear any answers you have would be..." a lengthy endeavor. Which answers were being sought? A simple list of things to facilitate 'victory' was near endless.

    Bobbing, Uxie turned his head toward Asura, as he had spoke last. The realm of what they needed was clear, but the amount he could say was too vast. "If it is answers you seek, you need only ask."

    The Great Marsh [Terminal] || Afternoon [Storming]
    Eleroo 103 || Seek 94

    Seek's teeth clenched tightly as 'Uxie' spoke. Not in suspense, no, but irritation. "Psychic's can conjure all manor of extension and facade. Such precautions are necessary to ensure my well-being." Precautions? From what, thinking he's ugly? "Ensure your.. what, are you some kind of hot shot?" She hopped closer to him before stumbling, her weakened foreleg buckling at the sudden movement. Eleroo rushed in, his own shoulders bearing the brunt as the Aiveon didn't miss a further beat. His jaw was clenched as well, eyes wide and hesitant as he watched the pixie for repercussions. Something about this felt very blightful.

    Luckily, for reasons he didn't dare think about, the being said something even he thought Seek would understand. "Perhaps a more candid term? I am a Legendary." Swallowing, the male's jaw opened and dangled as his suspicions were spoken aloud. A legend, a true legend. He had heard of a few... Kyogre, Rayquaza, Latias, and Latios, Mew.. any others he couldn't quite recall the names of. Uxie.. He didn't recognize that name, but an overwhelming sense of... power, ability, strength, will? seemed to weigh down upon him. Eleroo could not understand why such an ephemeral Pokemon would be in this desolate little town of all places. He had entertained their company thus far, and while he surely had his own reasons, could Uxie possibly... "Are you here to.. help us?"

    The question had been tentative, so delicate and focused that the shove from the Aiveon was enough to make him fall over when the psychic finally responded. "It would be folly not to prepare during this intermission." Well, it wasn't a no, and Asura was also convinced of their imminent danger. "If we are not the only ones taken by surprise by a Legend being here, they are likely to delay." The kit gave a tiny gasp as he regained his paws. That was right! The Floatzel seemed terrified of Uxie's change, and the others also appeared visibly shocked. "If it tells its friends Uxie's here they might not come for us at all!"

    Excitement and hope were beginning to buzz in the kits paws, his heart growing light as the possibility of a peaceful outcome, but the feeling was quickly snuffed out as he noticed another of their group acting strange. Felix had wandered off again, and when Eleroo noticed his palely colored form he was struggling to stand and walk. While the Radeon couldn't recall him being struck in the battle it was clear he wasn't doing so hot, and with his ever troubled gaze pointed forward he scuttled toward him. "You don't look so good," he spoke softly, gingerly placing his pads for each pawstep. A deep frown furrowed his worrisome face, concern building as the Sylveon just sat and coughed. "I.. I-I think you should get some rest."

    "If it is answers you seek, you need only ask." Giving her pelt another shake out Seek removed as many pesky drops as she could from her light fur. The unnatural chill had sunk from her fur to her shoulder bone, but the pain had ceased. It wanted them to ask? There were so many questions, how long did they have, how many were there, but why beat around the bush, she thought. Eyeing the floating being carefully Seek spoke clearly and without her usual boast. "How do we defeat them?" That covered most of the bases right? "Do we need to prep a defense?"

    Great Marsh|Afternoon (71)

    Shenron listened intently noting points made and mentally chuckling at any that might seem... Odd. He did agree they may have scared the Floatzel with the Legendary's presence... But a group of frightened Pokemon suddenly seeing what one might call a holy visage or divine intervention, they would definitely not be out to run them off. In fact Shenron feared they would want them to hand over Uxie in exchange for being let be. It was not their place to just hand someone over but something about how the Eeveelution kit spoke and acted made him worry. "Perhaps one of us should be keeping watch regardless? After all the living do frighten more then the undead" They could be equally as dangerous but a living mind daring to commit near or the same level of atrocities was extremely unsettling... But if you're scared and desperate there might not be much to really do in your mind. Not that he was attempting to justify it at all but he could understand why they would do it.

    The Great Marsh – Terminal || Afternoon
    Asura 36 || R'hia 12

    R’hia stood with the rest as the conversation ran, taking as much info into account as she could, realizing the mixed and varying possibilities that Uxie’s presence could have on the now opposing group. ”We can’t rule out the possibility of a peaceful outcome, still. I know it’s not likely, but think about this: Out there, he was probably some sort of scout or patrol. Those kinds of jobs are usually left to those who are more physical than vocal; that is to say, most patrols these days will shoot first and ask questions later, and maybe the group as a whole will try reasoning.” It was a long shot, and a longer stretch to hope for such a thing with any certainty. Uxie’s presence could easily cause some second guesses about going in guns blazing but there are too many factors to rely on any one outcome.

    Eleroo seems to hold some similar hope, though. "If it tells its friends Uxie's here they might not come for us at all!" Seek, on the other hand, was already asking some relevant worst-case questions. With a new point to be raised- how would they prepare any defense? If they hole up here, they lose the potential of finding a better and more defensible location, but maintain the last-ditch escape route to the marsh. Backtracking while alive is better than falling here and now- but at the same time, if they push onward looking for supplies and better locations, they risk running into already occupied areas, let alone being the intruders. Theres no easy answer.

    ”I do have a question. You feel the need to prepare, Uxie- do you know they’ll be coming for us, based on experience or watching them? Or are you just basing this on how the living typically react to this kind of thing?” It sounds like they had encountered the once disguised legend when they got here, so maybe Uxie had already been watching and learning- the being of knowledge would be likely to do so, no?

    It’s at this point that Asura steps in, just as Eleroo steps away to check on Felix. ”We cannot count on Uxie’s presence here to allow us any freedoms. I have encountered many that not only have lost faith and respect in the Legends, but some that even hold them in scorn.” He’d heard plenty claim to want to fight a legend for their supposed inaction, though even he doubted that one would do it so easily. ”Uxie. If conflict comes, will you fight with us, or flee? I do not expect you to fight, but we must account for whether or not you will support us in any way.” Granted, the psychic legend had already been supportive in some passive ways, at the very least entertaining questions and conversation. But at any point, they could turn, and Uxie could be gone without a trace. Asura never truly held faith in the legends for much- not out of distain or dislike, but simply because he believed in his own power and the power of those beside him more than unseen powers.

    Shenron was right, with both of the old friends nodding at the suggestion. R'hia moves her hands towards her belt, pondering if she should call upon one of her own comrades to take the role.

    While Seek's questions were very straight forward they were also multifaceted. A victory was not that cut and dry in either its procedure or its outcome as both sides rolled their dice and adjusted to their opponent. R'hia argued a point of peace, hoping that those living here would realize the error of fighting a group of unknown size with a legend among their ranks. Though unlikely the possibility was real, and after such a scare there remained a chance that the Pokemon would not wish to interfere again.

    ”I do have a question. You feel the need to prepare, Uxie- do you know they’ll be coming for us, based on experience or watching them? Or are you just basing this on how the living typically react to this kind of thing?”

    The legend turned his closed eyes toward the human and stared with silent regard. When the world was at peace he would travel to this area on occasion to visit his brother, though such trips were far and few between. Regardless, the Pokemon that were native to this land were always the same in their response to the weather patterns. Generations had passed and, by the hand of opportunity, all that had changed was their choice of shelter.

    "Would you not protect your place of safety? To be cast out now could spell a death sentence." Such was true of their party as well; not one member of this group was suited for this environment or knew the lay of the land. "Previous encounters may temper their response, but this is as much their home as it their safehouse." Did they return to the wilds during clear weather, or remain here year round? He would have to return at a later date.

    ”We cannot count on Uxie’s presence here to allow us any freedoms. I have encountered many that not only have lost faith and respect in the Legends, but some that even hold them in scorn.” Though he offered nothing after the comment Uxie knew it to be true. Disguising himself was less an attempt to blend in than it was a method to hide. Attacking a legend was a fools endeavor, but it had happened on more than one occasion. If these Pokemon decided he was a traitor his presence could in fact spur their violence rather than tame it.

    ”Uxie. If conflict comes, will you fight with us, or flee? I do not expect you to fight, but we must account for whether or not you will support us in any way.”

    "It is not my place to interfere in such squabbles. These Pokemon have equal right to this place. However, if a situation arises befitting a psychic's aid, I shall assist. Self defense not withstanding."

    The Great Marsh [Terminal] || Afternoon [Storming]
    Eleroo 104 || Seek 95

    The Radeon's frown deepened, concern furrowing his visage as Felix seemed to sink further into his malady. He extended one paw gingerly, ready to tap or stroke the larger eeveelution but withdrew the gesture after thinking better of it. A soft touch was always hit or miss when he was ill; either the most welcome sensation or the tipping point in emesis. Without knowing which would be the Sylveon's response the child did not wish to risk it and instead backed away. "Felix isn't doing so good.." he mumbled aloud though mostly to himself as he returned to the previous cluster of conversation. Had the Floatzel gotten him, was the food poisoned, was he dying??

    "Perhaps one of us should be keeping watch regardless? After all the living do frighten more then the undead." Shenron's suggestion blew his previous thoughts away, their immediate safety being much more important though the youth remained concerned about the Sylveon's health. Eleroo nodded in agreement, and after a few moments of hesitation he said, "I'll watch." Heated discussions were never really his forte; a soft voice and small stature didn't make for a noticeable presence, and evolution hadn't changed that much. Making his way toward the door instant windchill reminded him that his fur was still damp, and after a quick peek outside he clawed it closed. With another full body shake to dry his pelt the Toxic Pokemon bound for the couch beneath the window and clambered onto its back once more.

    Settling into place he honed his ears for the conversation but set his gaze to the outside, ready to spot the slightest movement coming their way. While the outside world remained quiet and dark Eleroo's ears were assaulted by the others, namely Seek's excessively loud voice. By contrast, Uxie's was calm but spoke volumes with each response. He said self preservation was a right, and whatever they (being the others) did was just, but despite the stillness to his voice Seek just seemed to get more and more ruffled. Her feathers and fur were sticking up and eyes blazed at the fact that the legend technically ignored her questions to answer the others. She had specifically eased herself to ask them as well, making the action even more insulating. At least in her mind, the Radeon thought.

    "So what you're saying is you'll only help if its convenient to you?" The Aiveon was about ready to go off on the legend. Just because he came out to them didn't mean he could act all extra. All they had to do was ask for help, he had said, but now he would only do it if it was to his standards? "You said you'd help but now you're being a two-faced jerk!" Literally, the guy had shown two different faces! "I don't think that's what he meant." Eleroo disagreed with her, but his voice was so weak she barely heard it. That, and she refused to acknowledge that side of it.

    "What about an escape?" She barked, jaw crooked and teeth poking out. "Would you teleport us away if we are about to lose? Or if we ended up trapped?" That would be 'convenient' for him too, right? Getting himself out of the situation. Or would they all be such a burden for a legendary status psychic to move? "...Or would you 'leave us to our fate' or something like that? Cause if you aren't going to help us, like you said, you might as well not be here." Venom dripped from her words, disrespect a completely foreign concept in this moment. It didn't matter to her if he was a holy visage; if he wasn't going to be useful he was about as important and useful as a dead body.

    Great Marsh|Afternoon (72)

    Shenron recoiled mentally in shock. How could one kit speak with such... Sass? Such insolence would not have gone undisciplined back home! The kit's hide would be tanned without prejudice after a stern talking to. Shenron turned away from the debacle not wanting to incur Seek's wrath either and wandered over to Felix. He looked over him curious and concerned then looked at Eleroo. Had they been talking about something? "Felix? Are you alright? You don't look so well" Shenron spoke just from observation of the kit laying quietly and still. From his point of view and experience as a parent, that said "I'm not feeling very well" or "I didn't do it but I probably did do it". Of course he did not expect this kit guilty of anything in the least. Had something come up he'd be more willing to cast an accusatory eye to the flying kit before Felix.

    The Great Marsh|Afternoon
    37

    Felix laid on the floor feeling worse every minute. His coughing had acted up more frequently and his body temperature felt like it was going up higher. It was all to familiar to him since it had happened before during childhood. This day just gets worse. What shit luck did I have that caused all this? If only I had some kind of berry mix, then I would of been able to stop this from getting worse. Unfortunately, he didn't have the berry mix and he didn't know the name of the berry that was needed along with a health restoring berry. All he knew is what the berry looked like and none of the berries he brought back was it. Though he had plenty of oran berries, he had few pecha and rawst berries. The sylveon's fear was if they couldn't find the berry needed, then it was likely he could get worse until they found it. If anything, they'd have to head to the pokemon center for the treatment if that becomes the only option.

    He looked at Eleroo seeing concern in his eyes. Should they feel that he was becoming a danger to them then who was he to argue with. Yet, only evidence that would suggest on his side is that he hasn't been infected or wounded. However, the charizard had asked him out of curiosity and concern. "Felix? Are you alright? You don't look so well" The fairy type shook his head no as he went into a fit of coughing. Truthfully he felt like he was wanting to stay in bed and sleep for the whole day. What he felt though was telling Shenron that he needs treatment for his illness that's taking a toll on him. Without a second thought, the eeveelution had taken the courage to tell Shenron and the others what he needed to tell them. "I'm not okay Shenron. It's something that I was told that would resurface again and *coughs* it needs something like a berry mix for a treatment. The berries was Oran and some berry that treats all status ailments. *coughs* Sorry if I don't remember the name of it. I only know what the berry looks like." Maybe Uxie knows what it is. Since the legendary is the being of knowledge then perhaps his knowledge can help them find it.

    Maybe he should go into detail a bit more with the illness that he currently has. It'll at least give them some awareness of how rare it is. "What I got is something that only *coughs* occurs twice. The nurse told me and my trainer that it isn't able to infect anyone, but *coughs* it does need treatment. I had it when I was but an eevee in childhood. So likely you guys are safe, but after the second treatment then it'll be out of my body completely." He just hoped though that there was those kind of berries nearby so he can get rid of his illness before it wreaks havoc on him. Felix hoped that there was bowls around for them to get the juice from the berries to make it. The sweet taste of Oran berry juice with the sour taste of lum with its medical properties would work quite well. If only Felix could remember the name then it would make it easier for the others. Maybe R'hia could make the mix easily and Shenron could heat it up to make it like a soup. Till then he would have to take it easy until then.

    While Uxie was not foolish enough to believe the stratagem discussion would go quietly he found Seek's outbursts to be both heavily unnecessary and misplaced. Again she threw the two-faced slur toward him, an insult he assumed to be intense within her own mind, but it remained a poor attempt to coerce him. "Do not twist my words, child." He had done not wrong, and followed through with all he had said.

    As the other Eeveelutions faded away the loudest's badgering grew more heated. "What about an escape?" Timing made for a very key factor in what defined an escape. "Do you wish to leave now?" Her obsession with the Marsh would drive her away in time, so why did she delay.Would you teleport us away if we are about to lose? Or if we ended up trapped?" Did she wish to have an encounter with those who lived here? "There is no need for this situation to devolve to that."

    He was truthful in that regard. As their human companion had said there could always be a peaceful outcome. If Seek was only imagining worst-case scenarios there was no hope for peace from her side. "...Cause if you aren't going to help us, like you said, you might as well not be here." The pixie froze in his hover to an unnatural stillness. "Am I inconveniencing you?" His words were neutral but edged, near threatening within his calm voice. "From my perspective, I have done nothing but assist."

    The Great Marsh [Terminal] || Afternoon [Storming]
    Eleroo 105 || Seek 96

    With each fervid word Seek spat out Eleroo felt more and more uncomfortable. There was something very wrong about her attitude, something so very not right about it in the moment and who it was directed at. His small claws kept clenching, his worried gaze anxiously drifting between the Aiveon and the outside world. He hadn't even realized he was kneading the back of the couch as he tried to keep himself together. Leave him alone.. A legend was putting up with her crap and still willing to help them. Wasn't that enough? "Am I inconveniencing you?" He said, and for the first time the Radeon felt himself stiffen at the psychic Pokemon's words. Not from context but from tone. It was chilling, like in his own way Uxie was threatening her.

    Yet even a threat wouldn't stop her. That, or she just didn't notice. "Right now? A bit." Seek snarked, a paw quickly running across her chin. "Speaking in riddles when we need to plan quickly is rather inconvenient." Wincing, Eleroo hated admitting she had a point. Uxie did give long winded, unclear answers, but they were still answers that gave some sort of insight. "From my perspective, I have done nothing but assist." Seek's brow furrowed, sullying her already irritated face. 'Assist' how? All he had done to them so far was the bare minimum while trying to show her up. She huffed, puffing out her cheeks as she spoke. "You could try making that help a bit more clear." Shutting her eyes and turning her face away from the legend she finished with, "you can start by telling us who their leader is."

    Swallowing back protest Eleroo kept his eyes firmly locked outside. Despite the turmoil Seek was trying to start inside, out there, nothing had changed. It was just a lovely scene of wind and rain on a lazy town. Do we have to fight? He used to love watching the rain fall on days like this, and if each of their groups stayed in their own little spots he could relive that feeling. They could enjoy that feeling. He wondered, would Pokemon who always got to see the rain get that same sensation? "I wonder if they want peace too." He pondered aloud, the idea of a peaceful outcome seeming further and further away. Would this scene soon be bathed in blood..?

    Great Marsh|Afternoon (73)

    Shenron frowned listening to the Sylveon explain. "Oran and a berry that cures all ailments..? Is that not... Lum berry I believe? I could be wrong" Shenron had only recently taken to eating berries as meat would be unwise to go after in these trying times. Not to say he didn't raid supermarkets and gas stations for frozen meat or meat snacks. "I'm certain the marsh holds Oran berries but we must pinpoint exactly what this other berry is. For now you must remain hydrated, fluids will certainly help slightly sate any illness and keep you comfortable" Before any protest could be made, Shenron had already retrieved a bottle of water from their raiding of the vending machine. His true issue was who would brave the weather outdoors for berries... He couldn't do it since the rain was pouring too hard. If it lightened up then perhaps but for now he could do nothing. And nothing bothered him more then that fact. Of course he also disliked the thought of leaving the other two kits. If something happened or didn't happen, there'd be nothing he could do.
