Small Cabin| Afternoon

Dante watched the group as he ate, savoring every last tendon and strip of raw muscle. Though he knew Strix had to have freshly killed the little swinub he was eating, he would be a liar if he said he felt bad. Though the world was a little more than fucked up, the food chain still remained, even if there always mindless monsters at the top...

He half-listened to the conversation when the black pup finally peeped to Strix's question. "Uh...I-I'm...Ciara...P-please, please don't eat me..." To that, Dante almost choked on the bone he was chewing and looked at her, dumbfounded.

"Eat you? Why would he eat you? You're not prey." He looked around, then back to her. "None of us are prey." He looked down and saw she had nothing and rolled his eyes. Stupid kid. He stood and got a last piece that was sitting in the middle and tossed it at her. "Eat. You're useless to us shivering and weak."

A moment of peace passed before the small pink espeon shot up, her only good eye wide with fear. "Dante! Strix, Alice! I just had a vision! An infected is near! One with torn fur and a spike on its head. I-I think its an absol!"

Dante immediately looked to the window and saw a flash of crimson that disappeared into the blizzard outside. 'SHIT. That THING is STILL after us?!' They were trapped in the cabin, since going outside was suicide, especially for the slower ones. The predator outside, however, was losing nothing as it waited for its chance. He looked around and gave a low snarl to the others to keep them quiet.

"Ok, don't panic. Don't make loud noises. Keep calm, or it'll attack and we'll all lose our heads..." He looked back at them and took a deep, steadying breath. "...We're locked in this cabin. It's fairly defensible, but the windows are a problem. Any bright ideas?"

Small Cabin| Afternoon (24)

"Uh...I-I'm...Ciara...P-please, please don't eat me..." The Mightyena squeaked, timidly. Strix stared at the canine, speechless, as Dante nearly choked on his food.

"Eat you? Why would he eat you? You're not prey. None of us are prey." Dante said, staring at her almost angrily. Strix chuckled under his breath and sat back, crossing his bulky arms.
"Don't worry about it. I don't eat team members...Ciara."
He paused, looking down and rubbing his stomach. " Though I am still starved..."
A mischievous grin appeared on his face as he leaned over Alice. "Maybe I'll make one exception and have a Luxio for lunch....kekekeke...." He snickered, wiggling his claws in a sinister fashion, his grin growing larger.

Suddenly, the Espeon shot to her feet, screaming of a vision.
Dammit! How the hell did it pick up our trail in a blizzard?!
Enraged, Strix got to his feet, ready to charge out and beat the brains out of the mockery of an Absol out there, but Dantes' low growl stopped him.

"Ok, don't panic. Don't make loud noises. Keep calm, or it'll attack and we'll all lose our heads..." Dante whispered. The Nidoking snorted in anger. He's right; fighting this close to the shelter will undoubtedly destroy it, not to mention little Alice, wounded and unable to fight. Without shelter in a blizzard like this would mean death.

"...We're locked in this cabin. It's fairly defensible, but the windows are a problem. Any bright ideas?" the Houndoom asked anxiously.

Strix looked around the small cabin.
"What if we try and block the windows with something? Do you think that thing could get through?" He muttered, growling as he eyed the windows. He hated the idea of it just sitting out there, waiting for them to slip up. It made him boil with anger, being the prey and not the hunter. "Maybe we can wait it out."

Or maybe I can lure it away and then beat the crap out of it then. Strix thought, a slow snarl twisting his features.

'They'd noticed them!? But how?'
The infected leapt back from her place and under the window. She leaned her head on the wood, Disaster didn't understand a word they where saying. Catherine couldn't hear a word they where saying but the dark aroura that surronded the absol wavered in thought.

"Don't try to get in, not yet." The voice spoke to Disaster. She blinked and snarled in anger.

"Mine! Disaster's Prey!" Her shouts where lost to the blizzard's howling wind.

"Of course, they'll be yours, but listen to me." The calm voice didn't become any louder but Disaster immediatly complied.

"Hit the wall, scratch it, scream, scare them, scare the prey, let them scurry." the velvet voice told her. Disaster nodded and the burnt part of her face curved into a smile and she looked towards the cabin again and she slammed her two front feet onto its wooden sides. She let out a howl and ran around continuing to kick and scream at the cabin.

"Disaster's You Mine!" she screamed at the cabin, most of it was probably lost but in the back of this monster's mind Catherine curled up and watched.

"Eat you? Why would he eat you? You're not prey. None of us are prey." Ciara just ducked in shame at the sharp tone Dante used, certain she had offended him and the large purple one. She sighed and looked back at Dante, who decided throwing something at a frightened pup was a good idea. She yelped loudly and hid in the corner, shivering, until whatever it was stopped skidding. She sniffed at it carefully, and realized it was food. Why was he giving her such a large portion when he himself was not finished? "Eat. You're useless to us shivering and weak." Oh...

Again, Ciara was shamed by Dante, and nodded meekly before reaching out and dragging the flesh into the corner with her. She didn't want to leave that spot even as she scarfed the offered food, because she felt much safer with her back covered, especially with such strong Pokemon in the room with her. "Don't worry about it. I don't eat team members...Ciara." Team members? Where? She looked around oddly, even checking underneath her, but she didn't see anyone. Her head cocked to the side, ears perked and alert, as she just stared at him. If no one was there, who the heck was the purple one talking about, then? "Though I am still starved..." a really odd smile spread over his features as he looked back at one of the kitties. "Maybe I'll make one exception and have a Luxio for lunch....kekekeke...." Okay this was not helping her stress level! Didn't he just say he wasn't going to eat one of his team members?!

When the pink one jumped up and started yelling that was the point Ciara almost lost it. What was WRONG with these people? Do they thrive on stress? Or was this simply another tactic to drive her away like so many others before them? Dante mentioned something about windows and the purple one...what was his name again?...talked about covering them. Though they didn't seem to have an idea how. Well..."Uh...excuse me but...would those work?" She pointed over to the table, chairs, and bed in the room. They were large pieces of wood and could easily cover the small windows, though the mattress would be kind of useless the frame was large.

Small Cabin| Late Afternoon

Though the pup was about as brave as a newborn kitten, she had a point. He stared at the matress and windows, when an idea came to him. "All right, you have a good idea, girl," he began in a low voice. "Strix, help me split up the matress. If we can half it, then it should fit into the windows. Then we can brace that with the furniture."

He moved quickly and quietly, trying to get the matress split with Strix's help. "You three, carry the furniture over here as quietly as possible..." He paused as the thing began screaming and scratching at the walls, wanting through. "We need to work fast. Thankfully, the reinforced walls should buy us more time," he commented to reassure the younger ones... Though, he wasn't sure if the walls would stand up to the Infected's tenacity...

Small Cabin| Late Afternoon (25)

Nodding, he quickly stomped over to the bed as Dante lifted the mattress. Strix easily sliced it in half with a Shadow Claw; a perfect edge- unfrayed and clean. He handed the piece off to one of the others and grabbed the second half, stuffing it up there in the higher window himself. He was careful not to push too hard, so as not to shatter the fragile glass behind it. His tail whipped in annoyance and anger. He wanted to get that thing that was taunting them with its' ridiculous ploy. The howling coming from outside was just a way to fray their nerves, and it wasn't going to work.

At least...not on him. As he fortified the window with wood from the furniture, his mind kept going back to the young ones here.
We can't lose anymore...
Once they had finished, Strix stomped to the corner closest to the door, staring at it intently.
In his head ran scenarios of how best he could take care of the monster outside once outside of the cabin.

"Dante...I say we take this thing down now." He muttered, leaning against the wall. "It's fucking with us. It's trying to eat at our nerves." Strix sneered, leaning closer to the hound, ears and voice low in annoyance.

Disaster's rampage continued, even as they built up boards she jumped at the sides howling at them that they where her prey, they where her meal. Disaster's Disaster's Disaster's they would all be torn bit by bit by her. By her dirty claws and teeth. At one point she stopped attacking the cabin and stood still for a good twenty minutes before she ran up to the cabin and leaping up to the wall she kicked as hard as she possibly could at it
'SLAM!'
And she laughed, no... they laughed.

"All right, you have a good idea, girl," Ciara was dumbfounded. Was that...praise? Before she even realized it her tail was swishing happily despite her cowering posture. Dante and the dino...did Dante call him Strix? huh...okay then, Strix, began working on covering the windows. Dante told the rest of them to help but she was still thinking about his earlier praise and didn't hear him, tail still swishing. She did, however, hear the Espeon. "Come on, you have to help us,too." She didn't sound very nice...

At the command Ciara jumped up to act, for it was not in her nature to defy any alpha's command. And since she still had no idea who the alpha was in this group that meant she had to take the order of anyone. Quickly grabbing the leg of the table she dragged it over to Hera and Strix, letting them take care of putting it up. Stepping away from the scene she looked at the group carefully. So...just who was the alpha here?

As she watched them interact she noticed that Strix and Dante were engaged in yet another private conversation. That had to be the third she had seen since she got here, and usually whatever they decided on the rest of the group worked with. So one of them had to be the alpha, but...which one? She sat awkwardly and cocked her head to the side just staring at the pair. Strix was obviously very powerful, and he had a commanding presence, his massive bulk and muscle giving off the impression of alpha. But Dante, he was cool, collected, and obviously very intelligent. He didn't seem the type to take any crap and would probably be the first to call you out on yours. So which one?

SLAM!

Okay! Not time for such thoughts! Ciara went back to her corner to cower, praying to any deity that would listen to not let that thing come in here. What exactly did this group expect her to do? It seemed like they were familiar with this enemy but what about her? What could she do to fight it?

Small Cabin| Evening

The bracing was going well, since the furniture propped up against the windows properly, and it was heavy and surdy enough to keep it in place. However, the fiend outside was a little more tenacious, and it continued to attack, frightening the others...

..At least, the others that were frightened pups.

There was a loud SLAM against the building and the pup whimpered and cowered in a corner. Once the furniture was up, Dante backed away from the walls and looked to everyone, pausing on Alice's sleeping form. He vaguely wondered how the hell anyone could sleep through this, but figured that she needed it with that tail...

He growled slightly, looking at everyone conscious. "Ok, guys. This is just about all we can do," he began in a loud whisper. "The windows are the weakest, but since it hasn't gotten through yet, we might be getting snowed in... meaning the snow is getting high enough to block the windows for us." He turned back to the pup for a moment. "It's trying to flush us out with the loud sounds, which means it can't get in on its own."

He turned back to Strix. "So, looks like we're safe enough for now, but it might eventually get through or we may be stuck here for a while till the snow melts..." He sighed, sitting down as he thought. "...So. Any other bright ideas?"

Strix grumbled as Dante suggested they stay inside…more out of necessity than anything.
It was true the snow was building up in a wild flurry, and he didn’t really like the idea of getting stuck outside while trying to get rid of that…thing.
The Nidoking crossed his arms and looked at the wounded Luxio across from him.
She was unconscious, with her tail crumpled unnaturally behind her.

"So, looks like we're safe enough for now, but it might eventually get through or we may be stuck here for a while till the snow melts..." He sighed, sitting down as he thought. "...So. Any other bright ideas?"
Strix grunted, unsure of what to do.
Stomping to where one of the shattered tables stood, he found a small shard of wood and picked it up, inspecting it.
Hmm, it looks to be about the size of her tail…

Scratching behind his ear in annoyance, he fumbled with his other claw through the wreckage in the cabin, looking for some string or tape. Looking back at the others, he paused, a bit embarrassed. He noticed the cabin had gotten awkwardly quiet.
“Erm…I’m looking for tape or…somem.” He mumbled, blinking awkwardly for a few seconds, then turning around and continued to look.

Outside Small Cabin| Evening

Disaster loved it, she could hear the whimpering of prey, scuttling feet and orders being told, that last one annoyed the infected. For it meant that the purple thing and the fire hound where there and trying to keep things in order. No, no order. Let there be disaster, let them run and huddle in corners, let them be scared. For she was the monster who'd snatch them up while they were in bed.

The infected circled the house, at a suggestion from the other the monster went to the door, the snow was already pilling onto the sides. And the door was nearly burricaded. Disaster heard the other voice start to speak she couldn't understand or really hear what it said, but it was speaking in a higher pitch. Reminding her of those baby swinub she'd made a meal of.

"Help, help! Is someone there?! Please let me in! There's somethi-" The voice cut itself off short, Disaster blinked a bit confused and then roared.

"Disaster!"

"Sorry, Ciara," Alice apologised after the Mightyena corrected the Luxio on her name. Normally Alice would've been irritated if Ciara had said that, but she wouldn't have liked her name to be pronounced wrong either. Then Dante and Strix entered the cabin with actual food, real meat! Alice had always been a meat-eater pre-epidemic, and the Luxio eagerly tore off some of the bird and began to eat. She happily listened to Dante and Strix converse with the newcomer, Ciara, amused when the Mightyena asked Strix not to eat her. Even though Dante said that none of them were prey, Alice had a feeling that he might eat her if the Houndoom was desperate enough. Strix leaned over Alice, bearing a mischievous grin. "Maybe I'll make one exception and have a Luxio for lunch....kekekeke...." He snickered and the Nidoking's grin grew larger as he wiggled his claws. Alice pretended to faint from fright, glad to have a chance to joke around and not be terrified at every single moment. But that moment of peace was quickly shattered when the Espeon, Hera, jumped up and barked, "Dante! Strix, Alice! I just had a vision! An infected is near! One with torn fur and a spike on its head. I-I think its an absol!" Damn, that thing had managed to find them already? Alice didn't thinkk she'd be much use in a fight, and going outside into the freezing cold was a stupid idea.

Alice had never been that great at making plans, but thankfully Strix suggested they either block the windows or wait this whole mess out, while Ciara built on the idea by pointing out the many objects in the cabin. Dante told Alice, Hera and Ciara to move the furniture over, and even with her wounds, Alice was determined to help out. However, the howls of both the wind and the infected, the scratching, and the Absol slamming into the side of the cabin were not helping Alice. She was trying her best to keep conscious, even with the excruciating pain in her tail. Bright colors spotted her vision, but Alice couldn't do anything anymore, Dante had said the place was as secure as it could get. So the Luxio gave up to the world of the unconscious, her tail crumpled up right beside her.

I looked around, again unsure of what exactly to be doing. We had done what we could, really, to keep the animated corpse out, but now what? Just sit around and wait? Being stuck in here? A chill ran up my spine, ruffling the thick fur on my neck. Being in the small cabin. While the snow piled up outside. With that infected out there. Dear Arceus, keep me sane, I silently preyed before turning back to the others. I did feel more comfortible with these pokemon, even Ciara and Dante, but we could only survie for so long in here. I sent another silent preyer to Arceus for having let us eat before this nightmere.

My gaze swept over the uncontious luxio as I sat down next to where she lay, offering my body heat to keep her warm, and turned my head to the mightyena, Ciara. My fear of her being against me when she first entered swept over me, but I dismissed it with effort. She was in here and she was alive. She is one of us. I offered her a small smile, sweeping my long tail next to me, inviting her to settle down as Strix had done not long ago for me. "Ciara, loosen up," I murmured to her. My only remaining eye still couldn't meet her gaze, but there was no malace in my voice. "No one is g-going to hurt you." My voice nearly broke at the end, giving way to a weak whisper, but I hoped that it got accross to her.

I watched with silent curiosity and fasination as Strix started rubbaging through the leftovers of the human furnature. When he noticed my silent gaze, I quickly looked away in shame. The cabin had become errily quiet and Strix supplied “Erm…I’m looking for tape or…somem.” I immediately caught on to what he was doing, holding the smaller peice of wood. My gaze flickered to Alice and back to him. "M-maybe you could sh-shred some material from the matress, f-for a splint,' I offered quietly.

Not a heart beat later, I heard the screeching voice outside. My eye widened interror and my fur spiked up again, but nothing else seemed to be happening. Just trying to fake us out again... I promised myself, but I still couldn't calm my racing heart and quickened breathing. "Sometimes i feel as vonerable as a rose petal," I told myself, not realizing that t was outloud.

Ciara nodded meekly. She knew she was being just absolutely useless but she wasn't sure what help she could be. These creatures were much stronger than her and she was afraid if she stepped in she would just get in the way. "Ciara, loosen up. No one is g-going to hurt you." The Mightyena was caught off guard by the strangely comforting words coming from Hera. She gave a weak smile in return and slightly uncurled herself from the corner. Strix was stomping around looking underneath trash and in cabinets, and Ciara just stared at him. What an odd thing for the large creature to be doing. Hera seemed to have some idea of what he was up to because she chimed in with a suggestion. Oh...Ciara felt a sliver of shame, she didn't even notice that Alice was hurt.

The purple cat was looking off into space for a moment, seeming to be lost in her own mind. Ciara was a little confused by the actions of those around her. With everything going on she was even more at a loss for discovering her alpha, though she had at least narrowed it down to Dante and Strix. "Sometimes i feel as vonerable as a rose petal," What? Oh my...an uncontrollable laughter came over Ciara. Here she was absolutely terrified of these creatures and this one was as scared as her. It filled her with such a relief that she just couldn't stop the laughter pouring from her mouth. It got to a point where she couldn't even breathe, she was on the floor in hysterics with tears in her eyes. She knew she must look quite the sight but at that point she just couldn't be bothered to care. The happy laughter was quite the respite for the normally petrified Bite Pokemon.

Small Cabin| Evening

In a time of crises, there were things to expect. Panic, chaos, shouting, running about, cowering... normal stuff. However, when Dante heard the hysterical laughter behind him, his heart jumped into his throat and refused to come down. He jumped as well, started by the sudden, unexpected noise. He reeled around to see the pup heaving out guffaw after guffaw and he couldn't help his lip twitch.

"Kid..." He began to berate her, but he knew that if he did, he would probably get backlash... After all, the pup was scared of her own shadow... and it wasn't like the bitch outside didn't already know they were there... "...Kid, don't attract more attention, k?" The real reason he wanted her to stop was because she was acting like a lunatic... and lunatics did not survive long around him.

He padded over to the luxio as Strix tried to find something to splint the tail. "...You think she'll be able to keep it?" he asked just loud enough for Strix to hear. "I mean... it was pretty limp on the way here. I might already be a dead limb."

"...Kid, don't attract more attention, k?" Dante said in a quiet and dangerous tone. Strix paused, surprised at this new side of Dante that popped up for just an instant.
Strix snorted as he took Heras' advice and shredded strips out of the mattress. "Aw don't be so uptight Dante. Everyone could use a laugh right now."
I haven't heard laughter for months. There's just nothing to be happy about anymore.

"...You think she'll be able to keep it?" the Houndoom asked as he examined the unconscious Luxio. "I mean... it was pretty limp on the way here. It might already be a dead limb."

"I'm not sure. It's hard to say either way, but it didn't look like it was broken at the base." Strix sighed and lowered his voice to a whisper. "I just hope I can set it. It looked broken in alot of places."
Strix didn't want to think of what would happen if he screwed it up. Even being delicate and gentle, he tended to destroy things.
"I guess if it gets worse, we'll have to...remove it." He said quietly, kneeling down next to the Luxio as gently as he could and spread out the things he needed.
Strix' heart began to beat faster with anxiety. He had set broken limbs before, but only on the larger Pokemon, and never a tail. Toluca liked to travel far beyond any towns or outposts, so they often had to fend for themselves, setting broken bones until they could get real medical help.
What if I can't do it? The bones in there are real tiny...

"I'm going to need someone to hold her down, just in case she wakes up." The Nidoking looked around at all of them, inspecting their front limbs.
All paws, no thumbs. Great. Well I guess it really is up to me.
He thought uneasily, taking a deep breath.
"Don't let her up...no matter what."

Also, sorry for the looong post OTL And if I manipulted anyone's characters, please tell me and I will edit D:))

I sighed, my only ear flicking back as my thoughts took a darker turn and I dwelled on the past. Yon-co... Oh my Raichu, my best friend... I missed my best friend so much that it tore a hole in my chest, I was amazed how no one seemed to notice the hole that bled so terribly in my mind. I hope you are safe... Suddenly, a loud and almost obnoxious giggling startled me out of my thoughts. I quickly sat up straight, my ear flattened against my head as I turned to look at the sourse of the noise. What in the name of Arceus is wrong with her...? I thought as I gave her a perplexed look, to say the least. My eye was wide with almost fear at the suddenly noise as she got louder. I jumped again as Dante's deep voice added, "...Kid, don't attract more attention, kay?" I turned my head to look at him, my eye even wider. He... he isn't quieting her? My head turned as I looked at the laughing Mightyena, to the Houndoom, and back again. The world is a strange place.

I watched with curious eyes as Strix and Dante started talking again in hushed tomes, but I could easily hear them simply because of the small space and my naturally amazing hearing."...You think she'll be able to keep it?I mean... it was pretty limp on the way here. It might already be a dead limb." Dante asked with a glance at Alice and I quickly lay down on all fours and pretended to be occupied with grooming Alice's crazy and bloodstained pelt."I'm not sure. It's hard to say either way, but it didn't look like it was broken at the base." Strix sighed,dropping his deep his voice to a whisper. "I just hope I can set it. It looked broken in alot of places.I guess if it gets worse, we'll have to...remove it." I shuddered at that thought, but continued to attempt to sooth the fallen Luxio. A soft smile came to my face as I thought I heard just a faint purr from the sleeping Alice. Arceus, help her, I silently prayed, and then added Arceus, please help us,too, as I saw Strix start to make his way to where we were. There were shredded strips of the matress cloth in his bulky claws and I couldn't help but notice how uncertain and tense his face was. I swallowed, sitting up and wrapping my tail properly around my paws. I had been taught to do that as an eevee by my mother. Funny how somethings just stick with you...

I watched with growing anxiety as the bulky Nidoking set down the wood and the strips of cloth."I'm going to need someone to hold her down, just in case she wakes up." Strix did a sweep of Ciara, Dante, and I and I could tell what he had realized. No hands. "Don't let her up...no matter what." My eye widened as I finally absorbed the whole situation. I quickly took charge, glancing at Ciara and Dante. "Dante, can you hold her back legs?" I tried not to be intimidated, but I didn't know if he really knew what to do in a situation like this. Oh well, we'll find out. "They are the strongest, and since you are the biggest of us..." I let the sentence trail off, and turned to Ciara. My expression had turned hard, but not in spite, just determination. I walked to the other side of the Luxio and now next to the Mightyene. My pelt brushed her's, but I quickly pushed that from mind. It didn't matter. "Okay," I growled to her with a quick glance. I was tense and nervous, but I only showed it with my trembling tail as my small paws were steady. "She is going to wake up with a start, copy me and push down, not too harsh, and don't let me up like Strix said." I reached my forelegs up and wrapped them around Alice's body, closer to her head. I nodded to Ciara, signaling to do the same.

Ciara was still in a fit, she just couldn't control it. All the years of living in fear and control of others she just finally had a small mental break down. "Kid..." Dante's voice was like thunder in her ears, snapping her out of her hysteria, and all sound stopped immediately. "...Kid, don't attract more attention, k?" The tone was softer on the last command but it was a command none the less. A command from dominant was NOT to be ignored. Ciara straightened herself quickly and stood at attention for anything else that might be issued to her.

However, nothing else came from the hound. He went back to talking to Strix, who seemed to be doing something with Alice's tail. "I'm going to need someone to hold her down, just in case she wakes up." Strix looked around at everyone in the room and Ciara cringed from his searching gaze. She didn't know what he wanted but it seemed he didn't find it. "Don't let her up...no matter what."

Hera suddenly began giving orders but Ciara didn't move. She had already established that the other female was stronger than her, but she was NOT the dominant of the pack. Ciara would only listen to an order from either Dante or Strix, because one of them was clearly the alpha. When Hera commanded her to lay across so that Alice wouldn't move, she looked to Dante and Strix for confirmation before even stepping forward. Hopefully whatever they were doing would help Alice rather than make her worse.

Dante sighed as he looked down at the unconscious cat; he was not jealous of her situation, though it was a damn good thing that she was out of it... Otherwise, it would be a whole different ballgame. Nevertheless, she could wake up during the setting of the bone, so Strix said they should try to keep her from moving. "Good idea..." he said to himself.

While he had had many injuries in the area of broken bones and whatnot, he never had to set it himself; the nurses and his owner always did it for him. So when Strix took it upon himself to set the bone, Dante couldn't help but swallow, a little nervous for the cat. That is going to be a rough ride.

Dante took his place at Alice's hips, putting his weight down on the legs, but making sure her clawed back feet could not thrash against his soft underbelly. He then heard the espeon, Hera, giving orders. It seemed she knew what she was doing, but it irked him a little that she was giving orders when Strix already had it handled. He dismissed it as a pet peeve of his when he realized the laughing hyena had stopped, well, laughing and was staring at him and Strix intently, as if silently asking if she should listen to the espeon.

Though he was not fond of cats, he locked eyes with the pup and nodded, letting her know she should help as well. He turned to Strix and sighed once everyone was in place. "All yours, buddy. Let's get this over with before she wakes up."

"All yours, buddy. Let's get this over with before she wakes up." Dante muttered nervously as everyone fell into place on top of the Luxio. Strix nodded, stretching his claws and neck.
Letting out an anxious sigh, he grabbed the sliver of wood in one claw and slowly and as gently as he could, lift her tail up. Holding his breath, he slid the plank underneath it and gently laid her shattered tail back down.
"Okayyy...this is the hard part." He whispered.
Starting at the base of her tail, he gently aligned it with the board, trying his best to feel the bones' alignment with his immense claws. His large ears could pick up the sickening sounds of the bones shifting underneath the flesh and muscle, but he continued.
Each vertebrate...here...must align at...here...
He thought, concentrating as hard as he could, his eyes narrowed and jaw set with the effort.
The Luxio trembled and shuddered a bit as he moved some of the pieces, but he didn't pause. The others were doing well in holding her down. Working his way down her tail, he slid all the bones in place. Some of them were shattered into multiple pieces, and those he could do nothing about. As he got closer to the tip of her tail, his heart started to beat faster. It was getting harder to grasp the delicate and petite bones, much less align them.
He pushed them together, hoping that they were straight enough to heal right. To his horror, he felt one crunch under his claw. He cringed, his ears falling slightly.
Sorry kid!
Holding the tail against the board in one hand, he grabbed the scraps and gently tied it as tightly as he dared around the two until it was secure.

Huffing out a sigh of relief, he pushed himself back and sat on his rump with his feet out in front of him, staring at the young Luxio.

"I...never. Want to do that again." He muttered under his breath, exhausted.

Small Cabin| Night

The absol paced outside of the cabin, ignoring the snow that was covering almost all the sides of the cabin and the hail peircing her, she was becoming worse and worse in looks. Her open scratches would never heal in the state she was in. Disaster hissed and dug through the snow and next to the cabin walls. She powered up an attack but a force from the 'other' stopped her

"Disaster... crush... crush..."
"Not yet, they're scared and when pokemon are scared they're unpredictable. They'll attack the first thing that moves, so just shut up and listen to me, Da?"
"...Here..."
Disaster was thinking hard trying to come up with words to argue against the prettier voice. When some did come they cam out in a jumble and the infected didn't understand any of them. But it had gone something like this.
"TheirMineEatThemYouDieBitchBellyDisaster'sPreyeatallandcrushandburnandeat"
"We are not attacking them now!" the other snapped angrily. Apparently whatever had been said had irritated the usually calm voice. And Disaster was about to repeat it when there where more sounds inside again. They looked at the wood and Disaster tried to power her attack again only for the other's force to slam her on the wall.
"No."
"DISASTER CONTROL PREY!"
"....yes you do, now calm down..."
Disaster's eye blinked she'd been shouting loudly. And they where close to the side, at least they weren't being silenced by the wind. Though she didn't think this it was likely that the cabin inhabitants could hear them.
"You can have your prey soon, until then you listen to me, dah?"
"Dah...?"

Alice felt sick as she stirred, finally woken. The first thing she noticed was that there was a lot of weight on her right now, what in the world was going on? After just waking up from an unconscious state, the Luxio was still slightly numb....until one of the bones in her tail crunched under Strix's claw.
"OW!" she let out the yowl, and her body gave a jerk before she forced a paw over her mouth, remembering that a crazy Absol was hunting after them..... but her tail was killing her. Dante had put weight on her hips, and Hera had her forelegs wrapped around Alice. Strix was sitting down not too far from the Luxio, his legs stretched out in front of him. Alice had no idea what had gone on during her unconscious state, but what was the reason why these guys were holding her down like this? Had they thought she was going to wake up and attack them? The Luxio had opened her mouth to say something when she looked behind her and spotted her tail...it was tied to a board in some sort of splint. Alice also noticed her tail did not hurt twice as bad as it did before, maybe they had fixed it in some way? If only their problems with that Absol could be fixed like that!
"Okay....what happened while I was unconscious?" Alice asked in a nervous voice, still shakened by that days events. Two deaths. Two infected, one had smashed her tail two newcomers....so many twos. Taking her mind off their unfortunate events, Alice waited for responses from the others.

((OoC: Sorry for the short post. I most likely wont be able to post again for about 2 weeks, and I really didn't have much to say right now. ^^' Try not to go too far without me...?))
