Violet agreed to playing with him, and the little Snivy was more then excited for fun they would have. "Yay yay yay yayayayayayay~~!" He chimed, scurrying up a nearby tree and hopping through the branches as he waited for the spider to finish her food. Was he going to hide, or seek? Oh they both just sounded like so much fun! Seeking would be nice, to see where Violet would hide in the city. Buuuuttttt, Plant did know all the best hiding places. Yes, the very best ones!

"Me hide, me hide! Verglas hide too. Violet can seek." Climbing down from the tree, he thought of all the places he could hide. "Close your eyes and no peeking hehe." Within moments he had gained the momentum to dash at speeds his evolutionary line was know for. With so many spots, which one should he pick? A tiny worry came over him, what if she couldnt find him? What if Violet gave up 'cause he was too good at hiding?

The Snivy slowed to a stop, trying to think of what he could do. With a clap and smile, it came to him. With a strong flick of his tail, the Grass Snake let loose a small flurry of purple-black glowing leaves. They floated up, eventually stopping and dimming to a vibrant green, and started a slow descent to the ground. Plant nodded. It wasn't windy this morning, and bright green leaves like this would be at least a little noticeable. Violet would be so proud of how smart he was!

Every so often, Plant would drop more Magical Leaves to mark his path for Violet. It was hard deciding on a place to hide, but he eventually decided on the Red-roof building. Compared to a lot of the other buildings, this one was remotely intact. He would of gone in through the door, but it was too heavy for him to push open. Instead, he slipped through the window, making sure to leave plenty of leaves around the door for it spider-friend.

Inside, it was very large. A lot of boxes and other things were strewn about the floor, making it perfect to hide in. There were many back rooms as well, but pungent smells from them kept the Snivy away. Running around the foyer, he crashed into a few of the boxes in his excitement. "Hehe, oopies." He mumbled, rubbing his head with a tiny hand. The impact had toppled a few empty boxes, making the flaps open like large doors. "Perfect!" Crawling inside, and closing the flaps just enough so he could still be seen, the little Snivy waited with anticipation for violet to come find him.

((Gonna try to push us over to you then, Chesh :3 Lets say all that carnage is in the backrooms, not the foyer if thats fine.))

"You're very pretty..." Verglas tells his new friend Violet, her soft tone of speaking reminding him of his mother and shuffles his root-like feet nervously.
The little snover looks down at the ripe berry in his bloodied hands, the fruit's taut skin still beaded with droplets of water, a stem of green still attached to its top. A few dribbles of water from its surface wash away the dried blood on his hands.
Somehow the thought of eating it makes his stomach feel strange, uncomfortable somehow for reasons he can't quite explain. Carefully the little ice-type sniffs at the berry. Perhaps it was simply that city berries, grown in this hot thick air, weren't as nice as the crisp tart mountain berries or the sweet cold Snoverberries he sometimes grew around his middle.
Not wanting to be impolite Verglas took the berry in both hands and dropped it into his mouth. It broke open as he bit into it, the sweet juices flowing down his throat to nourish the growth of healthy leaf and trunk.
For some reason it tastes rather sickly, almost cloying but he doesn't want to impolite in front of such friendly pokemon so he eats all the berries anyway before faking a wide smile of satisfaction.
"Sure, lets go play hide and seek." He says cheerfully, thinking it will give him more opportunity to explore the human city for humans to help. The little Snivy's manic enthusiasm was simply contagious and even though he hadn't found any help yet Verglas could feel his spirits rise as he stumped off in search of a place to hide, Plant shooting past him like a speedy bolt of green lightning.

Verglas's dull crimson eyes looked from side to side. He was nowhere near as fast or as light as Plant but he's still pretty good at playing hide and seek.
The Frost Tree Pokemon wanders into a forest, some sort of small park set up for the enjoyment of humans with a neat border of threes that are now starting to grow over into the park.
    Perfect.
With bloodied hands the Snover picks up a fallen branch still studded with green leaves and holds it above his head to obscure his eyes. With only the brown base of his round body showing he looks just like a round-bellied sapling, though a bit bloody.
Peeping through the branches he sees Plant dart into a human building, leaving a strange trail of shimmering leaves behind him.

Violet was caught off guard by the Snover's compliment. "You're very pretty..." Violet's face was covered in blush, but it was covered by her face which, like the rest of her body, was already red. She patted Verglas' head and said. "Why, thank you, dear." The Ariados wasn't used to these types of compliments. Most of the ones she's received in the past were just about how strong she was. She's never been called pretty, and never really considered herself pretty.

"Me hide, me hide! Verglas hide too. Violet can seek." With that said, the little Snivy dashed off. Violet decided to close her eyes and start counting. When she was finished, she called out "Ready or not, here I come!" and went off to find the two. The Ariados found a trail of shimmering leaves. She decided to follow them into the Pokemon Center. She came in through the window easily and looked around at all the boxes in the room. 'One of them is probably hiding in a box.'

Violet looked inside the boxes and found one that was partially open. She scuttled over to it and found Plant in the box. She crawled in and poked him lightly on the torso. "Found you." She said cheerfully. "Want to help me look for Verglas?"

    Pewter City | Morning

Rio surged to his feet as something crashed loudly on the floor above him. Shaking off the last remnants of sleep, he loped quickly out through the vent, leaving the mangled corpse to it's silent misery. Slinking silently up the steps and over the headless corpse, Rio peered around the edge of the counter at the source of the noise.
It was that bloody tree-snake-thing and the giant spider! They appeared to be smiling at each other, although it was hard to tell with the big red arachnids mandibles that served as teeth. This was ridiculous, he had to get this guys out of here or they'd eat all the food in the city.
Creeping silently over the stacked boxes, the purple leopard slid up onto the rafters of the building, his rosetted fur making him almost invisible in the mottled shadows of the roof. Turning his head so the meager light source caught his reflective green eyes, The Cruel Pokemon let a rumbling growl echo up from his chest and throat.
"Leeeeeaaaave thiiis plaaaace!" He hissed in a sinister voice as he crept around the edge of the roof moving fluidly with the shadows, his voice echoing in the vaulted ceiling, causing it to come from several directions at once. "Despair and Flee!"

Rio flashed silently through the beams, sewing terror as he went. A sinister hiss and a flicker of emerald eye hear, claws screeching across an iron coupling there. All the while staying as incorporeal as the shadows themselves.

Pewter City [Pokemon Center] | Morning | 6

It was hard, staying still, staying quiet. Excitement flowed through the young Pokemons veins, Hide-and seek! Hide-and seek! One of his favorite games! It wasn't long before he could hear Violet's long legs scuttling across the paper-strewn floor and see her red form through the gap in the box flaps. Plant began wiggling in place, unable to sit still. He clenched his muscles, bunching into a little ball with his tiny hands together over his snout.

The lighting in the box changed as she opened it, Plant knew he was found but didnt move in a futile effort for her not to see him. The spider moved closer, gently poking him. Plant let out a flurry of giggles and looked up at her, their eyes matching in cheeriness. "Found you." The Snivy burst from the box and began dancing around the foyer, stirring up the messy floor. "You found me! You found me! Yay yay yay!!" Hide-and-Seek was the bestest game ever! Violet was just as lighthearted as him, "Want to help me look for Verglas?" Plant stopped his dancing, "Yeah! We can find him together." He had a faint idea of where Verglas might be hiding, he could impress Violet with it!

There was a sound from behind the two Pokemon that made Plant uncomfortable. He turned on the spot to look and felt his body go cold. The lighthearted feeling of the room was whipped away as large, menacing green eyes were glowing in the darkness on a shadowed form were seen. Its mouth opened, letting out a hiss that scared all the happiness out of the Snivy. He trembled, "Leeeeeaaaave thiiis plaaaace!" His body wouldn't let him move, he was too scared. Plant's lip trembled on the verge of tears. "Despair and Flee!" He let out a small whine, shaking like a leaf. "B-big s-s-sc-cary sh-shadow face.." He whimpered softly, wishing for it to just go away.

"You found me! You found me! Yay yay yay!!" Plant seemed to love this game. He treated this whole day like there was no epidemic at all, and Violet wanted to keep it that way. She realized how heartbroken he would be if he realized that everybody may be dead. She shivered at that thought in her mind. "Yeah! We can find him together." The Ariados turned around to find Verglas when a voice stopped the two of them dead in their tracks.

"Leeeeeaaaave thiiis plaaaace! Despair and Flee!" The shadow spoke. It had piercing green eyes and a hiss that sucked out all of the joy from the room. Violet's heart pounded, but she was still able to hear the little Snivy whimpering. "B-big s-s-sc-cary sh-shadow face.." Violet suddenly picked up Plant and placed him on her back. "Hold on, Plant." She said to him. She glared at the shadow creature and let out a threatening hiss. She crawled out the window and let out a Venoshock attack in the shadow's direction.

When she and Plant were out of the window and away from the Pokemon Center, Violet sighed and grabbed the Snivy. She wrapped her long legs around him in a comforting (and almost motherly) hug. "Are you okay, Plant?" She purred. She stroked his head going down the back of his neck to relax him. "There's no need to be scared. The scary shadow face is gone. He won't hurt you." As she spoke, Violet saw herself not as Plant's friend, but more Plant's adoptive mother.

(OoC: Motherly instinct powers activate! Oh, and the Venoshock can either hit or miss Rio.)

    Pewter City | Late Morning

The little serpent trembled and cowered as it heard his warnings whisper out of the shadows.
"B-big s-s-sc-cary sh-shadow face.." It whimpered to the spider in a tiny voice. It was only a baby! Rio had thought it was just small for it's kind. But now he saw that it can't have been more than a few months old, a year at most. It did bare a striking resemblance to the huge leafy serpents from his home, It was probably a pre-evolution.

The Spider let out a hiss as it scurried to the window with the young one on it's back, releasing a stream of pulsing purple liquid at him as it went.
Rio hissed angrily as he leapt aside, the liquid corroding deeply into the soft wood of the beam. He had been right to be wary of the spider, it seemed to be a Poison and Dark type. Not something you should readily screw with.
"Better keep an eye on that one." Muttered Rio as he sprung up through the hole in the roof. "If I know Dark types, and I do, it'll not like being threatened."
Creeping along the roof, the Cruel Pokemon gazed down at the unlikely pair. The spider looked like it was getting all maternal with the snake. Maybe if he watched out for the snake a little, the Spider would be less likely to try and kill him. He really didn't want to tangle with the big arachnid. He was big, fast and immensely strong, with crushing jaws and powerful claws but that thing could climb walls and ceilings like they were flat ground, not to mention the web and poison that came with the spider package. There was no telling who would survive a fight like that.

Plant was petrified with fear. The monster was staring right at him. Its long fangs glittered in the dull light. "Hold on, Plant." Violets voice was firm as her long legs swiftly grabbed him and swung the little Snivy onto her back. His teeth chattered in fear as her wrapped his little arms as tightly as he could around Violet's large red body. She scrabbled up the wall, striking out at the monster in the darkness. Thuds and clanks could be heard from inside and they fled through the window.

Plant's eyes were tightly squeezed shut, wishing it all away. The scary dark thing, its gleaming eyes, terrifying threats.. small tears slipped through the cracks between his eyelids. Tiny whines came from his maw as he resisted the urge to cry out. Soon he felt Violet stop moving, twisting the grass-type off her back and into her gentle striped legs. "Are you okay, Plant? There's no need to be scared. The scary shadow face is gone. He won't hurt you." She cooed gentle to him. The spider rocked him back and forth, gently stroking in him a way that relaxed the child. So soft, so natural.. The warmth of the Ariados was so comforting, he felt safe in her arms. Plant let the tears fall from his orange-brown eyes, soothed by Violets tender care as he cried.

In her arms, things felt like they would be okay. That he would be okay, nothing could harm him. Something about this was distantly familiar, as through long forgotten to the little Snivy. Next to her warm body, he felt as though.. he belonged with her. Plant calmed down from the affectionate gestures, practically put to sleep from them. He looked up into his Protectors beautiful eyes with his big, sad, worried ones, "We left Verglas alone with Shadow Face out there.. Verglas could be in danger." He whimpered, cuddling closer to Violet. Plant desperately wanted to go home. To be safe in his nest with Violet and Verglas. Away from the scary thing. Safe from it. But they had to find Verglas first. The Snivy remembered with another couple of tears that his friend was still playing hide-and-seek. "He gonna be hiding from us.."

Gently he clambered up onto Violet's back once more. They had to find Verglas. They had to. He had to be safe. If Plant could put him and Violet in a safe place, the bad couldnt get them. 'Cause once they went into a safe place, nothing bad could happen to them, right? Right..? "Veeerrrglaaaaasss!" He cried out as they searched. There was so many placed he could hide, fear had made the small Pokemon forget all the spots he had thought of earlier. "Where are youuuu?"

Violet smiled as Plant calmed down in her arms/legs. She allowed him to cry as much as he needed to. He looked up at her with his big, sad, orange-brown eyes. "We left Verglas alone with Shadow Face out there.. Verglas could be in danger. He gonna be hiding from us.." The Snivy cuddled closer to the spider as she stroked his back.

"Don't worry, Plant..." She purred, "I didn't see him in the Pokemon Center, so he must be in a good hiding place. Besides," She said as she let Plant climb onto her back again. "If I couldn't find him, I don't think Shadow Face will, either." The Ariados let out a hope filled smile to him, letting him know everything was going to be okay.

"Veeerrrglaaaaasss! Where are youuuu?" Plant called out. "Verglas! You can come out now!" Violet glanced up at the Snivy. "Don't worry, we'll find him." She told him. She soon got an idea. "We'll be able to see better from higher up. Hang on!" Violet carefully climbed up the side of a building and was soon on the roof, trying to spot the little Snover. "Tell me if you see him, Plant."

    Pewter City | Late Morning

Rio watched silently as the voices of the serpent and the spider echoed through the empty streets. It seemed they were trying to find the tree creauture amidst the ruins before he did, how riduculous. Even if he gave a single shiny crap about a talking tree, who the hell would want to eat it? He was even sure if it counted as meat.
"Oh well," Thought the Cruel Pokemon with a mental shrug. "I better help them find it."
Lifting his head to the wind, Rio inhaled deeply through his nose, searching for scent of the Tree Pokemon. All that met his highly sensitive nose was the smell of undeath that hung heavy in the city air.
"I guess I'll have to look the old-fashioned way". Muttered the purple cat as he sprung silently across the rooftops towards a large patch of trees that stood a several streets ahead. Where better to hide a tree than a forest.

With her long legs Violet was able to swiftly move through the city streets. She scaled buildings with ease, giving Plant a birds-eye view of the surrounding terrain. The gentle breeze across his face brought a small smile back to him, through the sadness was still there. He peered out, where would Verglas hide? The city consisted of broken buildings and formality trees, and Verglas was a little tree, maybe he would of hid within them? Yeah.. that would be a good spot for the Tree-bulb! "Lets look over in those trees!" He told Violet, pointing the way for the spider.

The abandoned park was one of Plant's many favorite places. Anywhere with fellow plants was good to him. The tall trees were sturdy and strong, making the Snivy admire their strength as the pair wandered about calling for the hidden Snover. The plants about were dense, a bit difficult for the larger Violet to navigate. Plant gently climbed off of her back and walker beside her instead. "Veeerrrglaaaasss," he called, "Come out come out wherever you are!" He scampered a small ways away, they could cover more ground this way but were still close enough to call to one another.

Plant looked for a reddish and white form, thinking those parts of his Snover friend would stick out against the brown and green foliage beside him. Frustration was slowly creeping up on the Snivy. It should be easy to see him if he was here! Why couldn't he find him? he let out a small whine, what if Verglas wasn't even hiding here? Plant puffed out a sigh, kicking a stick as he gave up in an irritated fashion. He couldn't find Verglas, but maybe Violet could? He followed the stick, kicking it each time it was within reach. The simple entertainment of game was enough to bring back the happiness in him, and even a few giggles. Within a few rounds the small bits of anger from earlier were forgotten. Plant chased his new toy, trying to send it further and further with each hit.

After another strong hit, the Snivy pounced stick. He chuckled at himself, about to pick it up to this time smack it with his large tail. As he turned though, the tiniest flicker of red caught his attention. Huh'ing at it, Plant stared for a moment. It seemed to be a normal sapling, but something was just a bit off in the reddish coloration in the brown bark. "Hehehe.. found you!" He cried out, now launching himself to pounce Verglas in play. "Found Veglas, Violet!" He announced loud enough for the spider Pokemon to hear.

"You found me!" Verglas can't help the big grin that stretches over his face as the little Snivy manages to track him down. "So where's Violet?" The tree-like pokemon asks as he puts down his 'disguise' of fronds and smiles at the grass snake.
Carefully he picks his way out of the spot he was standing, a few fallen leaves from the larger trees covering his root-like feet as he scans the treetops for a sign of the red bodied spider pokemon.
The little snover has enjoyed the game, even if he has been found because if Plant had come to find them then he was found last and that means he has won!
It has been such a long time since he had last played such a game.
"I think that means next time it is your turn to do the seeking and Violet and I have to go and hide." The Frost Tree pokemon smiles, not noticing the trouble the little Snivy has found in the pokecentre in his enjoyment of the game.

Plant went into the woods to look for the Snover, so Violet had no choice but to follow him. "Don't wander off too far!" She called out as she followed him. She stayed behind him because she knew that the Snivy would be able to find Verglas. And sure enough, he did.

    "So where's Violet?"

"I'm right here." She told him, poking him with one of her legs. It felt so nice being around those two that it seemed like there was no epidemic. "I think that means next time it is your turn to do the seeking and Violet and I have to go and hide." The spider nodded in agreement with Verglas. "He's right, it's your turn to find us, Plant!"

    Pewter City | Late Morning

Rio peered over the edge of the roof upon which his crouched at the Pokemon below him. It seems the Spider and the Serpent had found the Tree amongst the actual trees that still stood in town. He had been right to look here. Curious that the Tree was blood-splattered as it was clearly not a carnivore. What possible reason could it have for being covered in gore? He'd have to investigate closer. If he was to get closer to the other two he'd have to make sure this one wouldn't be a threat.
Muscles bunching beneath his purple fur, the leopard sprung lightly to one of the thicker boughs of the nearest tree with a slight rustle, sending a couple of pine needles sprinkling to the already covered ground. Rio crawled slowly down the tree, using his razor-sharp claws and locking joints he could move vertically down the trunk, his head below his tail, with little to no effort. Pausing in a patch of shadow a few metres from the base, Rio gazed intently at the Tree that stood within jumping distance from the pine upon which he clung.

It's eyes were red, it's bark starting to mottle an unhealthy-looking combination of purple and red. Here and there on its body(trunk?) and face had considerable wounds that didn't appear to heal. Both of its arms (branches?) had a fabric wrapped around them that Rio guessed concealed further wounds.
Something this small and young should not be able to bare this many wounds with no concern at all. By rights it should be dying, if not dead already.
Rio's lips drew back from his huge, white fangs as suspicion started to weave it's twisted way into his mind. What if this tree was like that monstrosity that attack the truck? Were there more of those things? He'd best check closer before reacting, it wouldn't do to attack without reason.

Covering his fangs and abandoning all efforts toward stealth, the Cruel Pokemon dropped from the tree to land lightly in a small pile of pine needles that surrounded the base of the tree. Taking care to appear as harmless as possible, not an easy feat when you're packing 6 inch claws and fangs that could cleave through bone like butter, but he tried. Loping slowly out of the shadows so all three could see him, Rio smiled pleasantly whilst being careful not to show his teeth.

"Hello," He said with no trace of the rumbling growl he'd used to scare them earlier. "Might I ask what you're doing?"
At this Rio was genuinely curious as his kind didn't play as cubs, it was always survive or be eaten. Hopefully the Spider, who seemed to be wiser than the obviously young Serpent and Tree, wouldn't connect his emerald eyes to the glowing ones in the darkened building.

Verglas seemed just as excited as Plant as he announced his findings. Tree-blub had picked a very good hiding spot for himself, yes he had! "I think that means next time it is your turn to do the seeking and Violet and I have to go and hide." Those were the rules, very good rules too. Violet had come over to them with a warm smile brightly shining on her face. The Snivy beamed the look right back at her. "He's right, it's your turn to find us, Plant!" He agreed with the utmost of enthusiasm. Plant nodded, "Hehe, you two go hide!" Turning to face the closest tree he was about to start counting to.. as high as he could count.

As the small Pokemon turned though, he noticed a much larger one coming ever so close to him. "Hello," he mewed with a grin across his muzzle, "Might I ask what you're doing?" Plant stared blankly at the cat for a few moments. Surprise had left him still as he took in the purple form before replying with the biggest smile he had had all day, his eyes practically sparkling with joy. "We are playing hide-and-seek purple kitty cat! Do you want to play too? Its my turn to count!" A new player is always a good way to keep the game interesting. Plant looked to his companions to see their responses to his invitation to the newcomer.

Verglas smiles up at the new pokemon with all the innocence of a child, seeing no menace in the lithe feline's sharp claws and coiled muscles.
He is meeting so many new and different pokemon here, away from his mountain home and so far they have all been freindly to him.
The little Snover's mind starts to hatch a clever idea. It had been fun playing Hide and Seek with the excitable Plant and the Grass Type didn't seem adverse to the idea of seeking instead of hiding. In his dead little heart the Snover had been hoping by now he might have a glimpse of the humans that inhabited this place but there was nothing.
If they were hiding maybe they could seek them out!
The blood-stained plant smiles to himself.
The plan was perfect and with all of them here they could find a human in no time!
" Hey Plant, Violet I just had an idea~!" The small Ice Type cheerfully announces to the group and presses his blood stained green hands together.
"Do you think that you could maybe help me find someone else this time? All of us can look together." He smiles.
"Then we can find some humans for my Rescue Mission! I prmosie it'll be fun." He adds in an attempt to convince Plant to join in before smiling up at all three pokemon in front of him.
    He was brave and smart!
" You can help out too right mr...?" Verglas's voice trails off as he realizes he doesn't know the purple furred pokemon's name.
"Anyway I'd really appreciate it if you could all help me out." Verglas smiles and feels a strange little flip in his stomach.
He is starting to get hungry again.

Violet saw that there was a newcomer. She didn't recognize the purple cat. 'Must not be from this region,' She thought. His dangerous appearance made her a little uneasy with Plant and Verglas around, but then she realized that she was an Ariados. Plant invited him to join in their game of hide and seek, but the Snover had another idea.

"Hey Plant, Violet I just had an idea~! Do you think that you could maybe help me find someone else this time? All of us can look together. Then we can find some humans for my Rescue Mission! I promise it'll be fun."

Violet blinked. She wasn't sure who he was looking for. "Who exactly are we looking for, dear?" She asked the Snover, escorting him to the side a little bit. She still didn't trust the purple cat, so Violet knew she had to keep an eye on him.

Just to make sure he didn't hurt Plant or Verglas.

"We are playing hide-and-seek purple kitty cat! Do you want to play too? Its my turn to count!"
Rio blinked at the sheer amount of childish joy that the serpent seemed to emanate. The small male was just bubbling with excitement at the prospect of someone new to play with.
Suddenly the Tree started to spout something about an idea and humans. It buzzed out so fast he barely caught it. Arceus, it seemed so young to be a monster, maybe he was mistaken. Still, there was something about it's voice that put him on edge, a sinister undercurrent to it's otherwise sweet, innocent voice. He made a mental note to find out exactly had happened to leave a so called "human" city dead.
" You can help out too right mr...?" Said The Tree, trailing off at the end, a question in its voice.
"Rio," finished the cat. "My name is Rio. And sure, I'll help."
Rio came to a stop a few feet away from the trio, pausing just out of reach of the spider, just in case. Relaxing onto his haunches, he smiled at each of them in turn.
"By the way, what are your names?" he began. "I think I heard something about a violet plant?"

Giving several hurried nods to Verglas, plant agreed to the idea, "We can look while we hide! If you find a Hoomun while hiding you win!" The little Snivy had never seen a 'human' whilst living in the city since they had fled long since his hatching but the idea of adding them in as bonus couldn't be passed up. " You can help out too right mr...?" Oh yeah, purple kitty didn't have a name yet. "Rio, my name is Rio. And sure, I'll help." He smiled, his teeth shining in the growing light, brightening his face to seem as sweet as a pecha berry. "I think I heard something about a violet plant?" Of course, introductions! "heheh, my names Plant. Like these plants!" He couldn't help but giggle, "and this is Veglas," He pointed to the Snover as he said his name. A tiny fleck of embarrassment came over him after that last remark though. With that, he would let Violet introduce herself to Mr. Purple Kittyface.

With that out of the way it was time for round two of their game! The Snivy easily hopped to the high branches of the nearest tree and blended into the leaves with his green coloration. "Okay okays, time for the game. Winner of this round gets a special treat!" He called down to them. Putting his little hands over his large eyes he started counting. "One.. two.. three.."

Violet looked at the purple cat as he introduced himself as Rio. She turned around so she could introduce herself. Plant had already introduced himself and Verglas, so she was all that was left. "I'm Violet." She told him. The Ariados was completely unaware that the Snover had ran off to hide. As she looked around, Plant already started. "Okay okays, time for the game. Winner of this round gets a special treat!" The little Snivy was up in the trees, leaving Violet to worry like a mother who let his son climb a tall tree. "No fair! Verglas got ahead start!"

Plant had already started counting, leaving Violet to crawl off to find her hiding place. She looked around the city until she found a good place to hide. The roof of the Pokemon Center! It was red, and so was she! The Ariados could easily blend in, so long as Plant doesn't see her yellow legs. She scaled the wall until she got to the top, and then positioned herself so that her legs couldn't be seen. She crawled over to a taller wall so she could be blocked better.

High up in the trees the Snivy pressed his hands against his eyes and his face against the thick trunk of the beech as he slowly counted higher and higher. "15...16...17.." Desperately he wanted to leap out of the tree and start searching but he had to finish counting first. He hurried the numbers along "21..22..23.." but couldn't help himself any longer and jump straight to "30!" Plant made his way down to the ground practically panting in excitement. As much as he wanted to call out the usual "Ready or not here comes me!" the young Pokemon knew, or at least hoped, that his new friends were too far away in their hiding places to hear him. Instead he simply chuckled to himself and darted off out of the forest and into the city to begin his search.

The Snivy looked around for his three friends, unsure of where to start. He glanced down at the ground, noticing that the wind had since moved his trail of leaves. Well, the wind does that. "Hehe.." He couldn't spot any legs or limbs from the ground though. So Plant thought that maybe, if he, if he looked from higher up it might help? "Yeah!" Great idea! The Snivy ran up to the nearest building, agilely climbing his way to the top of the Gym to scout from the others. "No way you can hide from me!" He was gonna get them!

The Snover wandered around in the trees, confused on his goal and unsure of where he should be hiding this round. He wished to go explore the city and find some humans to complete his mission but he also wanted to think of another great hiding spot. As a frost tree himself this park was probably the best spot to hide in the entire city.. the twitching in his stomach distracted Verglas back to his other thought. Im hungry.. With one branchy hand on his stomach the Snover forgot about hiding, about the humans he needed to find, about the one he needed to help. Eat first hide after! Yes, that is what he would do.

In the back of his mind staying in the trees was a comforting and good idea. He was used to the foliage overhead and that would make catching something to eat so much easier. So the Snover walked along quietly looking for food. And there it was, the smallest rustling in the leaves and a shadow moving through the tree branches alerted him that he was not alone. Shuffling in place the dual type threw several Razor Leaves up at the shadow. It didn't cry but the sounds of rustling leaves increased as it fled the attack. The Shadow sought refuge in the higher and higher branches, dangerously balancing on spindly limbs.

Verglas was not to be daunted by its fleeing and continued to launch his Razor Leaf attack at his chosen prey. A few would hit, a few wouldn't, but the creature ran from them all until it ran out of space to ascend. Silhouetted by the sun the species still couldn't be identified. He shot more of his Leaves at the Pokemon, now trapped by its own attempts to escape. Soon it was cring out in pain as they cut into its body in multiple areas. Scrabbling at the branches it seemed it would fall at any moment. This excited the Snover until he launched his Powder snow. The ccrrrtt as the ice froze its paws to the limb it was suspended on was like music to him. Panic overtook the Pokemon. Flailing and writhing about there was no escape but down. And down it went. With all the movement, shaking, and weight upon it the branch snapped from its base, the Pokemon frozen to it by the feet.

It crashed down and down, colliding with branches as it fell to the earth below uttering shrieks of pain. Sickening cracking sounds could be heard: if it was bones or branches was unclear. Finally the Pokemon was out of the trees as it smashed against the ground with many other large branches and small limbs crushing it as they came down as well. Verglas stumbled his way over to his prey and he identified it was confusion and surprise. "Mr. Rio?" Though the words toppled from his mouth they didn't registrar in his brain as it was only focusing on food. The dead Liepard lay on the ground in an unnatural position as its broken spine jutted awkwardly from its pelt. The glazed look to his eyes almost made Verglas believe it was a different Liepard altogether. There was a long moment of silence as he stared at the big cat, unsure what to do next. Infectious instinct took over, unable to be ignored in his time of hunger, and the Snover began to devour the fresh meat to his pleasure.

He ate until full, hardly able to consume even a fragment such a large meal. Carefully, Verglas wiped his long arms on the grass around him and rubbed leaves across his face in attempts to clean up a bit. Memories of what he was doing previously arose as the urge to feed was momentarily stifled. He had to go hide! He hurried a few steps away but stopped, as he felt leaving what was left of Rio there didn't seem right. The Snover took in a deep breath, and blew his Powder Snow at the corpse until it was completely iced over. Though it was a bit odd looking in the middle of the brown and green trees, it was no more then a white icy snowhill now. Perfect.

With a nod, the Snover wandered off to quickly find somewhere to hide before he ran into his other friends, not even fazed by the actions he had just committed.

Violet stared in shock from her hiding place. She had seen everything. Verglas has used some sort of ice attack into the trees and down came a branch, with the Liepard from earlier. He had died upon impact, but that wasn't what shocked the Ariados. To her horror, the Snover began to eat the Liepard. Eating other pokemon didn't really scare her that much. Violet always ate small pokemon before the epidemic. She had to cut it from her diet because she feared that any meat from pokemon she eats may be infected. The thing that scared her about this scene was Verglas himself. He even acted as if nothing ever happpened. He seemed so kind and sweet.

"No way you can hide from me!" Violet suddenly remembered Plant. He doesn't know about any of this. She stayed hidden for him because she didn't want to ruin his fun. When he finds her, then she'll tell him the bad news. The Ariadlos sighed and closed her eyes, still staying low. If she was here, she might as well take a little nap.

Verglas quickly tromped through the streets looking for a good place to hide. Inside one of the buildings seemed like the best choice, as it was where the humans would stay. They had to be hiding somewhere after all. Every human couldn't of just vanished, right? The Snover assured himself that he would eventually find them, and when he did he would be able to save his trainer and be a hero for his bravery. Yes! A successful rescue mission..

But he was getting distracted. Hiding. He had to hide fast, Plant had to of long since been done with counting by now. Sticking to the sides of the buildings he moved as swiftly as his stubby legs would allow. He passed several houses but couldn't seem to enter any of them. The first one he found with an entrance enough for him made the Snover step inside. It was fairly lit inside due to cracks and windows, but Verglas still didn't see any Humans. A bit disappointed he sat on a chair to wait for Plant.

Carefully clinging to the tallest peak of the building and using his vines for extra support Plant scanned the area for red, purple, and mahogany blobs. No one could hide from him for too long! He had found Verglas last last time, so he reaallllyy wanted to find him first now. But the Snover was nowhere to be seen from his vantage point. The angle of the buildings he was hiding in made it impossible to of seen him.

Picking his way back down the building Plant looked around for his friends. He recalled Verglas' add on to their game, finding the 'hoomuns'? It was vague but he remembered some of the Pokemon he had met before passing by mention the creatures. They lived in the large nests around here. Would the others hide in them while looking? Sure! That seemed like it made sense. He quickly tapped his feet and with a big grin dashed off toward the two most noticeable of the buildings first.

The Pokemart had seen better days. Half the roof and one of the sides were gone in what looked like a huge bite mark. The inside looked like a windstorm gone wild. All the shelves had been thrown, tosses medicine and food packages and containers about the room. Many odd scents filled the air and even though the Snivy didn't have an amazing sense of smell it was obvious of their presence. What wasn't present though, was life. No one was near, he determined, after searching the entire shop. Bummer.

Heading back out, where could they go now? The Museum or rocky outcrops maybe? They wouldn't of stayed in the woods, now that wouldn't be any fun. Hmm.. another notable structure was the PokeCenter. Well, he had been the one to hide there last time so maybe someone else did this round? It was worth a shot the Snivy decided and made his was over to it.

After a long walk he made it all the way over to it. His pace was slowing. By this point the Snivy was getting tired. Running around all morning across the city and back really tuckers a Pokemon out. Being so tiny only made it more tiresome. Walking about the perimeter he remembered the scare he had had inside the building. No.. Violet wouldn't of hidden in there. Rio maybe, Verglas not really. What about.. the roof? The glanced up solemnly, and taking a had stare through the window for Shadow Face, Plant crawled to the red roof of the building. There in the shadows he could see the very peaceful form of Violet at rest. Walking over he gently nudged her body with his tiny hands. "Found you.." he muttered stifling a yawn. His body swayed slightly with tiredness. If Violet was napping, then it was probably his nap time too.

Violet's little snooze was disturbed by a nudge to her body, which caused her to giggle a little bit. She opened her eyes and yawned. "Found you.." He said. Looked like he was just as tired too. She smiled and reached out a leg to rub his head. "Hey there, little guy." She said to him. The Ariados looked him in the eyes and sighed. She needed to tell him that she saw Verglas eat the Liepard from before. It would break his heart to lose a friend like that, but it was for both Plant's safety, and Verglas' safety. "Plant, I'm afraid I have some bad news..." She began. She stroked his head to help him relax because she feared that he would attack her when she broke the news to him. With a sigh, she continued, "For your own safety, I'm afraid that you can't play with Verglas anymore..."

Violet didn't want to share the fact that the reason was because he ate Rio. That would be two friends lost. One gone forever, and one being kept away by another friend; herself. "I'm sorry if this upsets you, but it's for your own good." She said to him. She backed up a little bit, just in case he decided to attack her and call her a liar or a meanie.

The Snover was growing restless and confused as he walked about the house. He had been waiting a while for Plant and Violet to find him but no one had come. Did that mean he had won? If he had then it was time to come out of hiding and see what Plant's 'special treat' was. But if he hadn't then coming out would ruin his chances of getting it. Unsure of what to do the Snover continued to walk about the house, looking for anything interesting.

But that grew old fast and Verglas felt that he should no longer be in hiding. Stepping back out of the broken house the Snover looked about for his friends. They hadn't really set up a meeting point which made a reunion difficult. Back in his mountainous home they would meet up at the cabin but here there was no cabin. It seemed unlikely for the park he had been in to be the spot ether: it was too thick and hard to see.

Verglas tried to think of a spot they could meet up with each other. The only place that came to mind was the Snivy's berry bush so that was where he would go. On he marched, though his movements felt sluggish with a full belly and the raise of the hot sun. Had he looked up the Snover might of seen the Pokemon in the distance talking on the roof of the PokeCenter.

Plant wasn't to be bothered peering off at the ground for Rio and Verglas. Seeing Violet simply intensified the tiredness in his small body. Violet gently took him and lulled the sleep into him. Her soft motions were foreign to him but felt oddly familiar and desired. If he was a kitty then he would of purred for her. "Plant, I'm afraid I have some bad news..." But he wasn't really listening as the Snivy was too captivated by the gently rubbing of his head. "For your own safety, I'm afraid that you can't play with Verglas anymore..."

Now that got his attention. The Snivy perked right back up with a stream of hurried sentences. "Is this cause Violet was found first? Or cause he's still hiding. No no no, we can find him before napping, its kay! We dont gotta end the game yet!" But the spider was not accepting his plea as she back up shaking her head. "I'm sorry if this upsets you, but it's for your own good." "No no! Tree Bulb is my friend." With that the grass type scrabbled down the building and ran from the Ariados. If he could find Verglas.. if he could find Verglas they could go hide. Hide from Violet and play together still! He ran as fast as he could, no one would find that darn Tree Bulb before him.

The Snover was heading in the opposite direction though. Clambering into the half-collapsed house that held Plant's 'secret' berry bush Verglas stayed out of the sun as he looked on for his friends. Since they weren't in here or outside he really had no idea where they could be. Plant wasn't hiding so maybe they could bump into each other if he walked around?

Not wanting to stay still for too long the Snover crawled back out and walked toward the heart of the city. Maybe, he could do the leaf trail thing like Plant had done? The wind had moved all of his leaves, or at least they weren't there anymore. Verglas rubbed his snowy cap while wondering if it was a good idea.

((Plant darted away. You can chase him or see/not see Verg or w/e you want. :3))
