Forest outside Opelucid City \ Early Morning / (10)
Flapping his wings and puffing out his feathers intimidatingly Sasuke is fully expecting the Hydreigon to rise to the challenge, doubting the Dark Type's hunger for bird flesh has dimmed over the years but to his surprise Orochimaru seems positively uninterested in his challenge.
Preparing another dart of electricity around the edge of his feathers the Staraptor prepares to launch an attack against the Hydreigon when suddenly something slams into his side, leaping free of the smoking tree tops to slam straight into his body.
The damn spy has got him!
As coils of blue scaled muscle try to wrap around him and trap his wings at him side Sasuke finds himself staring into eyes just as red as his were behind lenses of cracked glass. He has fought the Dragonair before, harmless sparring designed to strengthen the body, but this was unlike any fight he had ever had with Kabuto before.
The slit pupilled red eyes were filled with a strange sort of anger and blood still oozed sluggishly from the deep, deep gashes on his neck, rubbing off against the Staraptor's feathers.
Before Kabuto can fully wrap around him Sasuke struggles his way free and pecks at the Dragon who has the sense to move away before he is blinded.
"You." He says blankly and with jaws wide the Dragonair leaps for this throat.
With a frightened yelp as he is spotted by the larger dragon Juugo's more timid nature immediately comes to the fore and the large fire type takes to his heels, leaping away as the Hydreigon's crunching jaws narrowly miss the fluffy yellow fur of his plumed tail.
"Run away!" He cries out, trying to warn his new friend as the pain of holding back the bloodlust gets even worse. He can't take it much longer, soon he's going to snap and when he does no-one will be safe.
Skipping over glowing embers that smolder in the charcoal ashes the Flareon runs.
Behind him he hears a cold chuckle, a sound that freezes the blood in his veins with an instinctual prey reaction. The Hydreigon was too close to outrun.
Something in him snaps as the fear gets too much, the frightened look in his eyes draining away to be replaced by something dangerous and hungry for blood. Instead of crouching to make himself look shorter the Flareon stands up straight, bracing his muscular body as he draws up flames inside him and breathes them in a white hot stream towards the Hydreigon's leering face.
