Torrent hadn't the heart to reply to Noir's melancholy query; he didn't think he would be able to give an answer that didn't either sound false or one that wouldn't depress the boy further. However, Cketch seemed to pick up on it quicker, easing the burden. "All there is is us and where we chose to go. Let's chose to go somewhere better."
The giant dragon couldn't help but nod. "...Yes... We have to... keep moving. We're going somewhere better..." He wasn't sure if he was saying it to reassure Noir or himself, but it did at least make him feel a hair better about getting away from the closed entrance. He walked on all fours and offered a hand to Noir. "...Wanna get on my back?" His stoic face softened to a small, nearly hidden smile; though the loss of the last family he had still throbbed in his chest, he needed to keep going. He needed to move forward... He needed a purpose. He needed to protect these pokemon.
