Re: The LAVENDER Team
The rocky walls of the tunnel that felt like it was closing in on every second, the echos of footsteps that became louder, the Absol was searching for a new home. She wanted no trouble for anyone, she didn't want to cause anyone harm with natural disasters. Penelope continued down the road of the Rock Tunnel, not that it was long, but she often did pause to ponder of her new home. Will it be safe from others? Will anyone else enter it? Will the undead leave her be? Impossible question for the last one, but nonetheless, she felt guilt bring her down every second.
The Disaster Pokemon gulped down her feelings, letting it hide itself in the back of her mind as she glanced at the various features the dubbed 'Rock Tunnel' held for her. There were many things that weren't of interest, maybe a couple of gems, here and there hidden in the ground, they must be those type gems Penelope heard so much about; they held some sort of ability for a certain type for a Pokemon. A Dark gem for example, will hold great use to the Absol. Not that she cared though, it will only be useful once. Once used, it's just a useless piece of glass that can easily be broke.
Thanks to Penelope's sturdy paws, the pebbles underneath her feet - sharp and dull - held no effect to her pads, not bothering one bit. But it was ticklish. That was when voices were heard, allowing the Absol's hairs to stand on end. 'Survivors?' She thought silently, hope filled her, yet made her disappointed. Penelope was glad Pokemon were alive, but if it's around the place she plans to live in? She doesn't want to trouble them one bit. Curiosity got the best of her, her paws moving on their own accord as she pondered whether she should forward, or simply go back to look for a different home.
She finally made her way towards a Flaffy. The features were quite obvious with the white wool and bright pink fur standing out from the dull features of the Rock Tunnel. She was holding onto a Pokemon, Penelope didn't dare guess who it was, just seeing a skull mask already made it obvious what it was. The Disaster Pokemon said nothing, allowing her emerald eyes to inspect the features the Flaffy and the Cubone had. Wind blew from Penelope's direction, allowing her presence to be known. Not that she did it consciously.

Re: The LAVENDER Team
The great, weeping dragon couldn't hear Therese's weak words, but he did hear her collapse, her bone rattling on the hard ground. He whirred around, fangs gleaming in the dim light to whatever dared intrude hi solitude, but they quickly faded as he realized just what slumped on the floor. "...Therese..." he stated, his voice soft and shocked. What was she... had she heard him?
It then quickly dawned on him that she was not doing well in the slightest, his suspicion confirmed when a large hand touched her burning flesh. 'That's some fever...' It was all he could do to wrench his attention away from his dead daughter to splash some cool water onto the prostrate marowak. (Not the water he'd bathed himself in prior, though.) Every action was half-hearted, however, even though he knew the urgency the situation had.
He just... didn't have it in him.
He heard quickening footsteps accompanied by stumbling and scattering rocks, eventually seeing Cketch. "Cketch..." his mouth stated absent-mindedly, and his eyes once again went to Therese, then to his little Ievah. "Therese is... isn't doing well... We need to get her to a... a deeper pool..." A deeper pool... would his baby have survived in a deeper pool, where she could move much faster? Would she have been able to eat and drink untainted food and water, and survive?
...would she have made it if he had come into the caves earlier?
The thought alone caused him to double over, that he could have prevented this. He could have saved her precious life... if only he hadn't stayed in the house. He felt his very being tear with pain and anguish, the doubts and facts clawing at his reason and sanity. He could have stopped this. He could have saved her...
"...Just get her out of here, Cketch," he managed to get out between broken sobs and quaking breaths. "...Get her in cool water. She's... She's feverish..." He needed to get out. Away from the corpse, his proof of failure. Away from the others he might fail. He stood and picked up his baby's remains, cradling them gently. He had to bury her... somewhere... He turned away from Cketch, venturing further into the cave. He needed to get away.

Re: The LAVENDER Team
Noir cried softly in the sheeps arms, his body shuddering with the mental agony. The little Cubone held his Pika tightly in his arms, as if he would die if he let it go. The club fell from his paw with a hollow thump to the ground.
"No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no..." he sobbed pathetically, refusing to open his eyes. The only word that his scarred mind could possibly throw out in defense. The young creatures' sanity swayed in the balance as his frayed memory spat out dark images onto the canvas of his mind, tainting the child permanently.
The weeping Cubone clung to his Pika and curled his tiny body up as close as he could to the one that held him.
"I just want to disappear...! Please, just make me disappear!" He choked out desperately, balling up as tightly as he could.
"What's the point in them being happy now if they're going to be sad later?
The answer is, of course, because they're going to be sad later."

Re: The LAVENDER Team
Quickly Cketch wraps his paws around Therese and tries to haul her into deeper water.
There seems to be something horribly wrong with every member of his party and just the scent of their emotions is enough to raise his heart-rate. The madness was contagious, he knew that and the smeargle starts to fear for his safety.
The scent of fresh water is clear in his nose and Cketch half carries, half drags Therese into the pool.
The water seems to hiss as the marowack is submerged.
Carefully the Smeargle cradles her head, keeping Therese above the water.
What had happened to make things go so wrong? That thing was dead, he smelt it's body. Then Noir had collapsed and Torrent had left and found...something. Something horrible. Now Therese, the one pokemon that seemed so reliable, was unconscious and floating in the water.
There seems to be something in his eye. Cketch raises his paw to in and is surprised to find wetness. He's crying.

Re: The LAVENDER Team
Penelope felt her gaze soften upon the reaction of the Flaffy to the Cubone's outburst, the Absol's big sturdy feet moving itself unconditionally toward the duo. Footsteps echoed within the cave, though she hoped not to catch anyone's attention. She simply glanced at the Cubone, who held tightly to some dull Pikachu doll - Penelope considered it so fucking adorable - and had this weird black tie that hung from his neck.
Meanwhile, the Flaffy was just, a normal Flaffy, though she seemed off, like she was different than her usual - well duh! Who's someone that's always depressed and always shhing a crying baby?... Oh wait, that's Penn.
The Cubone wanted to disappear apparently, Penelope giving a frown, speaking aloud her thoughts, "I always wanted to disappear as well," She said, a british accent was hinted, but it was awfully obvious how it was trying to be hidden, "But if you want to disappear, than you can't hang with your friends anymore," - complete lies, the Disaster Pokemon had no friends - "You can't eat your favorite food," - everything tasted like dust in her mouth - ""You won't feel, see, hear, or smell either..." - she wanted to lose those abilities, better than being left in a bottomless pit where nothing, but disaster happens - "But even if you want to disappear, you should want to at least spend every minute of your life actually living it rather than weep." Coming from a hypocrite, the Absol just gave herself false hope in wanting to please others, rather than bringing disaster.
She sat down, her fur meeting the dirt on the ground - not that she minded though, she could always clean it later. "Penelope," She said in a cool voice, as if forcing herself to be a bit less... talkative. She hated it whenever she just bursted into a conversation, even though she wanted to prove a point. Though the Absol doubts her voice could reach the Cubone's head, he did seem to have a thick skull - pun intended, but no offense in all reality - and seemed a bit too out of control considering how depressed he seemed to be.

Re: The LAVENDER Team
It was soon that the great dragon found himself back where he'd come from, his feet automatically leading him back to the beginning. He traversed on three legs, his spare forearm gingerly holding the remains of his daughter. He paused as he saw an absol approach Yasille and Noir; she seemed friendly enough... He turned away without another word, heading back outside.
He was greeted with the sound of heavy rain clapping down, pouring down from the heavens. Thunder cracked and roared, and Torrent vaguely pondered if Zapdos was behind it. In the dark, the hideous corpse of his daughter was still barely visible, and he felt a little grateful to the coincidental circumstance. Placing her down ever gently, he began to dig in the soft, moist earth, carving her grave into the ground. The rain his his tears even from him, who no longer knew he was still producing them.
As he dug, he absent-mindedly hummed her lullaby, the one his mate had created just for her. It wasn't normally a sad, mournful tune; its angelic notes used to be soothing and freeing, especially when his mate had sung it. Now, it carried his sorrow, his loss, the low octave cracking on some notes because of his distress. Gently, he picked up his little baby, placing her into the hole he'd made, and covered her with an easy push of his tail.
And like that... she was gone.
The mournful lament continued for only as long as it took for Torrent to create some sort of marker using nearby stones and flowers. In this world of death, it was seldom a victim had the opportunity to be buried properly, away from the world. He placed a giant hand on the mound, as if she were still there, his humming comeing to a close.
"...Goodbye, my little baby..."

Re: The LAVENDER Team
"I-it's okay, dear. Everything will be okay," the sheep said again and again, gently pushing the bloody images away with her kind voice. His weeping slowed to a dull whimper as he moved his small body so she would be more comfortable, his small claws clinging to her torso for comfort.
A voice in the darkness, melancholy and melodic replied to his cries. It spoke of all the things he couldn't do if he was gone.
"But even if you want to disappear, you should want to at least spend every minute of your life actually living it rather than weep."
Noir slowly opened his eyes to look up at her as he stopped crying. He breathed in slowly and looked up at the sheep and the new creature, his head hung low in sorrow.
She's...she's right...I...need to live...for Iva...
He couldn't stop from whimpering as he thought of his loving owner again, the tears flowing freely again. Suddenly, a heartbreaking song was heard echoing through the caverns. Noirs' eyes widened, the beautiful tune striking his heartstrings.
Without another word he sniffled and shimmied off of the Flaafys' lap, picked up his bone, and with his other free hand reached for her hand. He quietly padded to the entrance of the caverns, following the melancholy requiem, to find the Dragonite placing a marker for a grave. Noir let go of the Flaafy, holding his plush close. His eyes were wide, laden with sorrow. The young Cubone walked to the grave, his long black tie dragging underneath him. He looked down at the fresh ground and then looked about timidly.
Without saying anything, he retrieved a small stem of lavender flowers from one of the plants that populated the town and reverently placed the flower at the base of the grave. He returned to the others' sides, leaning against Torrents' leg as the hollowness that follows such lamenting set in.
(OoC- hope it's okay that he tugged her to the entrance. If it's not, it can be changed, lol. Just thought it would be adorable.~)

Re: The LAVENDER Team
The lullaby echoes through the cave as Cketch dips his paws into the cold water and spills it over Therese.
He can't feel his legs anymore and his paws are starting to go numb.
Still he scoops up and pours the water with a mindless determination.
It's better than stopping.
Events have continued in the cave, he can hear them but none of that matters.
All that matters is the water and the marowack.
Scoop.
Pour.
Scoop.
Pour.
Scoop.
Pour.
"Please be o.k." He pleads under his breath. "Please don't die."
He liked Therese, she was nice and he liked talking to her. If she died now...
Cketch feels a bit sick.

Re: The LAVENDER Team
The Cubone stopped crying upon Penelope's words, the Absol felt herself give a small smile, mostly because she thought they wouldn't help one bit. That smile soon widened as soon as the Flaffy began to speak "Thank you, Penny," Never had anyone gave thanks to the Disaster Pokemon! The Absol felt her heat flutter in joy, "This is Noir and I am Ya-" Interrupted by Noir (According to the Flaffy), the Cubone dragged her deeper into the outside world. "Yasille! Why don't you come with us, Penny?" Yasille finished her sentence with the rest of her name, AND offering Penn to come with the duo. A dream come true it was to have Pokemon care for her! 'Then they will all hate me in the end...' The Absol thought solemnly, reminding herself that she brings nothing, but disaster.
Upon reaching outside, Yasille raced over to a Dragon-like Pokemon (Dragonair? Dratini? The name was on the tip of Penelope's tongue), burying her face into his scales as she cried, "I-I'm so sorry, Torrent! I'm sorry! But it will get better! You have to beleive it will or-or-or or life just isn't worth it!" The Disaster Pokemon felt her eyes widen, 'Something's coming,' She thought, she looked above as the rain continued to pour. The side of the mountain nearby had mud sliding down.
Penelope has brought disaster once more.
"GET OUT!" The Absol screeched, "There's a mudslide!" She felt her heart pound against her chest, watching from the entrance as the mud from the mountain side became heavier pouring down toward the group.

Re: The LAVENDER Team
Torrent didn't move as Noir lay the flowers on the mound, nor when Yasille crshed into his side as a sobbing mess, telling him it would be ok, that it would turn out all right in the end... and something about living... But even as she sobbed and they both stood with him, trying to console him, all he knew was that he was alone now... Besides these few survivors he'd known barely a day, everyone he'd truly cared about was dead. His trainer, his teammates, -the bastard little raichu, even- his mate, and his daughter... gone.
He looked down to the pokemon accompanying him and frowned a little. This wasn't all of the little band. Where were... His eyes widened with realization as his mind went back through the cave, remembering the marowak's recumberant form and the blind smeargle he'd left her with. He cursed himself and stood, hoping he hadn't made another grave mistake... another one that would cost an innocent their life. However, as he looked to the entrance, a stranger stood there, an absol, and shouted something about a mudslide.
Mudslide?
He looked up and heard, but now saw the mud quickly flowing down like a blanket of death, heading straight for them. He moved to grab the two children and lunged toward the cave mouth, hoping the absol had enough sense to move out of the way. Once inside, he looked to the path he'd taken, and where she'd fallen. "Therese!" he called, and ran toward her, hoping the smeargle and marowak were still all right.

Re: The LAVENDER Team
[OOC: Post is mainly some dreaming, skip to the non-italic text for actual action if you don't want to read the whole thing, lol.]
Cold. So very cold. The freezing temperatures was all Therese could register as she sat in the blurry void, trembling hands clutching at her own body in fear. She's heard of stories of Pokemon in Coma being able to dream, wasn't this a dream? What if she was in a coma? Shivering at the thought, she was barely comforted by the feeling of gentle paws holding her body, suspended in space.
With the sound of soft humming the Marowak closed her eyes, such a sad, yet peaceful tune. The feeling of water flowing down her head relieves her of her headache. "Please be o.k. Please don't die." That was Cketch's voice, right? She wanted to answer, and opened her mouth to do so only to find that no words could come out. Panicked, her eyes shot open to see the liquid pouring down her head to be blood. Thick, scarlet blood that infiltrated her nose and mouth, the metallic taste intoxicating her.
Before she could even figure out what the hell was going on Therese felt rumbling, the void beginning to shake violently and within a blink the scenery changes to her old home, huts made out of straw and wood located in a deep valley. She floated atop the cliff-face, and in an instant, hundreds, no, thousands of boulders were racing down the hills. Battering, crushing everything in it's way the Bone Keeper could almost swear she could hear their screams. 'Help us!' 'Save me, please!' 'Don't leave me...'
She began to cry, a voiceless wail drifting across the memory as she huddled up into a ball, sobbing.
"Therese!" Torrent's voice has awoken her from her unconsciousness, finding herself submerged in cool cave water. Surprised, she struggled a bit before gently floating in the pool, her scales still a permanent sickly pale. "Wh-what happened?" she queried, her limbs were still trembling, just not as violently. "What's... What's g-going on?"

Re: The LAVENDER Team
"Therese!"
The Smeargle grabs her close and licks her face to check the ground-type is o.k.
His moisture laden white fur weights him down and he is shivering from cold but he is smiling.
Therese is awake and that's a start.
"Therese can you hear me?" He tests, slowly raising the marowack out of the water. "According to Torrent you passed out and the water would help."
His smile has cracks at the edges, he is about to cry.
Therese doesn't taste better, there is still that bitterness underneath her skin.
The faint cry of "Mudslide" has escaped his notice in his intent focus on his patient and he has no idea that they could be in danger until he remembers Torrent's cry.
"Maybe it would be best if we left now mon amie..."
The Smeargle sneezes. The water is very cold.

Re: The LAVENDER Team
Thank Arceus the Dragonite had enough sense to grab up Yasille and the Cubone, Penelope followed him into the cave, she had brought disaster among them, but would they forgive her if she were to say such a thing? The Absol really did have a good feeling about this group despite such drama going about. "Therese!" The Dragonite called out into the cave, the Disaster Pokemon couldn't help, but tilt her head in confusion, the name seemed oddly familiar. Her huge paws finally caught up with the Dragonite, glancing at his features. It was odd how he had a tattered wing hang off limply to the side, was it from a fight? Then again, that made sense considering how muscular he is.
Ahead, Penelope could see faint outlines of figures. One looking a lot like the Cubone, and another looking somewhat like a Smeargle. She skidded to a halt as she finally noticed the distinct features they had, it was a Marowak rather than a Cubone, she seemed to have given off some familiar vibe. The Smeargle - on the other hand - looked like some sort of punk off the streets. Probably the piercings. "Wh-what happened?" The Marowak asked, trembling in what seems to be like fear, "What's... What's g-going on?" The Absol would not answer that question, she wasn't here in this exact point of time where the Bone Keeper Pokemon was confused (that or unconscious). "Hello." The Absol said cooly, saying nothing more, or nothing less. Perhaps the Dragon-Type Pokemon could answer them, considering he called out one of their names, they must be familiar with each other.

Re: The LAVENDER Team
Torrent didn't even really register the absol was still there, staring at them as he tended to Therese. "Hello," she said simply as the marowak at his feet shivered and looked about frantically. Torrent nodded to the absol; she'd warned him about the mudslide. However, Therese was the one that needed the most attention; she'd been out for a while now. "You ok?" his deep voice sounded, his hands moving over her lightly to see if her body still held the fever.
It did.
He sighed and looked around. There were medical supplies back at the house but... that was out of the question for more reasons than he cared to really name. Their only way out was forward, following the tunnel till it dumped them out near the power plant and Cerulean City. "...We should... get moving..." His mind was still frayed over the two big losses he'd had that day, but giving him a task, a duty, made it easier to bear. Kept his mind from it.
He looked to the absol and nodded in thanks, then continued walking on all fours, looking everyone over to see if they were well enough to travel. "...Everyone ok?" he asked.

Re: The LAVENDER Team
"According to Torrent you passed out and the water would help." She... Passed out? The Marowak's mind was still hazy from her sudden unconsciousness and she blinked wearily s she tried to remember. Ah, right. Torrent was crying and- In immediate concern for her friend her eyes darted towards where the dragon was, his voice suddenly ringing in her ears. "You ok?" She felt his hands gently test her forehead for her temperature, and she frowned.
"Am I ok? No, I'm the one who should be asking that." Therese mumbled, eyes filled with concern not for herself, but the Dragonite before her. "Are you okay? Are you feeling okay?" she queried, the image of Torrent crying over a body still haunting her. The ground-types eyes drifted over to the Absol, and she put on the best smile she could. [Which wasn't much, she is still trembling and sickly pale.] "I'm Therese, it's nice to meet you."
"...We should... get moving..." The Marowak's attention came back to Torrent, and she gave a nod of agreement. She couldn't even feel the freezing cold of the waters, her body so heated that it made the shallows feel lukewarm. "...Everyone ok?" Gently, Therese stood, the water helping her balance with slow movements. Looking towards Cketch, she nodded. "Thank you." she mumbled, before emerging from the cave's pool. As she attempted to dry herself only one question stood straight in her blurry mind.
Why in the world was the cave so dang hot?

Re: The LAVENDER Team
Noir shuffled next to the Dragonite, watching the Marowak with anxiety, but saying nothing.
His eyes were once again brimming with tears- he didn't want to see the nice Marowak in pain...just like he didn't want to see any of them in anymore pain...but still, it was there.
Like a never-ending nightmare.
This whole world was a nightmare that he couldn't wake up from.
Everything either lackluster and gray...or a terrifying glaring crimson.
The shadows seemed so deep for the little Cubone, and the light so harsh. So harsh that all he could do was cry silently.
"What do you do...when your future is all used up?..." He said sadly, almost to himself, as he cuddled his pale Pikachu absently.
"Where do you go?"
"What's the point in them being happy now if they're going to be sad later?

Re: The LAVENDER Team
Embarrassed Cketch wipes the tears from his eyes and pretends he hadn't been crying.
"Torrent!" He calls, pleased to smell the leathery scent of his skin. The Dragon type was the best protection they had, even if he was soaked in sadness.
There was a new smell too, of ruffled fur and a hint of darkness.
It says hello which generally meant it meant no immediate harm so Cketch ignores it while he stumbles from the pool.
His legs has fallen asleep and at the water's edge he has to sit and rub life back into his calves before shaking the cold droplets from his fur.
He nods at Therese and twitches his tail as she goes over to Torrent,
That bitter scent still lingered on her skin.
The marowack needed help that could not be found in the cave and Torrent recognized it.
Cketch was grateful.
He didn't like this place.
The Smeargle walks up to behind Therese, ready to help her up if she fell.
He sees up Noir too, the sight of that sand-scents death had hurt him somehow.
It seemed Yasille and him were he only one to yet be hurt and that worried him greatly.
"You make a new future." he tells the sad-scented Cubone. "All there is is us and where we chose to go. Let's chose to go somewhere better."
