Ahem. I'm very excited about all this, I think it's a wonderful addition to the Pokemon franchise. ^^

I typed out my own reaction when I saw these. Its my initial, after the initial, and after some thought.
"What is this.. why is Mawhile in this group? Why is a starter in it? The hell, Ampharos is a dragon now. They changed Lucarios tail to its chest.. Absol has wings and pout hair. The shit is this.
So they took five of the fans favorite Pokemon and gave them more of those stupid ass form changes. So are they going to be BlazikenX and MewtwoX ect now because having it be named Mewthree wouldnt match up. Never use different forms anyway so more stuff for people to fawn over.

Other then diagonal movement Ive found nothing redeeming. Im not going to be pleased and I accept that, so ignore me. :x

Gonna also point out that Mega Mawile is a steel/fairy and it is very likely that Sableye and Dunsparce will also be receiving mega forms!
Speculation is that all starters will receive a mega form, since Blaziken has one.
It is also rumored that Mega Mawile is Y exclusive and Blaziken is X exclusive, although this is only based on their body shape.

Also that miserable moment when you learn that there was some kind of POKEMON CONVENTION IN YOUR CITY but you were not there for it.

Based upon what I'm seeing here... there must be a mega evolution for every fully evolved Pokemon and Legendary. This brings to mind images of a Mega Sableye... Mega Farfetch'd, let alone none forget a Mega Raichu. Now that's an evolution I look forward to.

I would love it if there were mega forms for a wide variety of pokemon, right now the selection seems totally biased. On the other hand I quite like all the mega forms shown.

I am with Kaze right now. I doubt they will go through the work to do Mega Evolutions for all 600+ Pokemon :p Probably just for Pokemon who didnt get an evolution but people have been begging for, like Absol and Mawile.
Either way, I am quite stoked about this still ^^

As a response to the speculations of others. There will only be a few mega evolutions from what I've heard and seen, and if I am correct, the mega Blaziken will be event exclusive, where you will be able to get a torchic with it's specific mega evolution stone. [Blaziknite or something]


having a mega form for many Pokemon would not really work I'd think.

Although I wish they had named it something other than Mega, due to Digimon being the ones to use that term, I still think they all look pretty kick ass. Hopefully with their next info leak we can find out if we get super sexy Sableye and Dunsparce evos of some sort.

Highly doubt that this is an Mega evo at all, most likely some kind of awesome gimmick or feature added so you can use the baby kangaskhan as well :o

No, it's the actual Mega form. It's been confirmed.
Kangaskhan's Mega can attack twice, too. (Not sure if this is speculation or truth, though. Apparently someone confirmed it?)

looked it up and what not and you're right.  I do not care for their use of the term "mega" It should only refer to Pokemon undergoing a significant change in my opinion. And although it doesn't bother me, many people are and are going to be butthurt about how Digimon used the term Mega, first.

I however could care less as long as I get the entertainment value that I crave. xD

The Mega-Evolutions ... seem OK thus far. At least it's something new and, executed correctly, could be very exciting and advantageous. I can't see myself using these Megas much since I'm perfectly happy with those Pokemon as they are, but it's a step up at least. I just hope that the list of them isn't as long as the one that Ciana posted the other day - the majority of the Pokemon on that list are awesome as they are. Personally I can't see them doing anything of the sort with Latios, Latias, Gyarados or Aggron - those last two can't get much more badass than they are now, haha.

As for the three new Pokemon, Skiddo is actually kind of cute. Bunnelby is ... well, a bunny. That's about it. :| Hopefully he evolves into something cool to make up for the HERP DERP face and chocolate ears. Wasn't Buneary enough of a rabbit Pokemon to go by? And as for Dedenne ... a short, fat Raichu? MCCHU??!?!!? Yeah ... It'd better be one that evolves into something good instead of remaining a weakling forever like poor Pachirisu.

The one thing I really want to know is what the starters evolve into. I swear to god, if Fennekin ends up another Fire/Fighting type I'm going to freak. Everyone's saying how they'd like it to be Fire/Psychic type but, personally, I'd settle for just a pure Fire-type. Typhlosion is the only one of those thus far.

Pretty sure Fennikin is a Fire/Psychic, Chespin is Grass/Dark and Froakie is Water/Fighting. I like the weaknesses and strengths in this version's starters. Psychic is useless to dark, but Fire is super effective to grass - Dark has nothing on Fighting, but Grass is super effective to water and Fighting is weak to psychic, but water is strong against fire.

They really thought that one out. I like how that's going. I'd like to see if it's true

My vote is Duma's; I have been expecting Fire/Psychic, Grass/Dark, and Water/Fighting :)
