I was wondering if it would be possible to make a single profile character that starts out as an egg on the team and doesn't hatch for a few turns. However in the profile the species would already be predetermined.

Re: Egg characters
Yes, there's a few users who've done that previously. You just need to make a dual character profile for them and have it approved before it hatches.

Re: Egg characters
I meant for it to just be the egg, no other character.

Re: Egg characters
I'm curious as to how you would roleplay an egg...

Re: Egg characters
I'm envisioning Saphira remember the inside of her egg in Eragon. A lot of sounds and sensations of motion, internal thoughts, etc.

Re: Egg characters
...I'd be against an egg character. You can't interact with the eggs in the games, and all their attributes are "???" or unknown. Besides, I don't think it'd be very interesting to write as one, as it cannot interact with the other characters, only observe. It wouldn't know -anything- so it'd be like writing the same paragraph over and over again.

Re: Egg characters
It would only be for three- maybe four turns. I just thought it would be interesting to try something new.

Re: Egg characters
Hmm, your argument brings up valid points, brother Lugia, but if it is only for 3-4 turns, I don't see an issue...especially if it was approved as a baby pokemon with a full profile before it got into roleplay. We've had characters that had a full profile but omitted certain elements because the member wanted to do a surprise reveal in the RP. (admin approved previously of course)
Though it is somewhat questionable on what you would write concerning pre-birth...but going off of what Mew said, that could be done in a max of four turns and it wouldn't harm the RPs' flow.
Afterall, we do have mindless undead creatures, some of whom don't think much at all. Their minds are not working at their fullest; I see an unborn pokemon in a similar fashion- not fully developed, but able to see and hear to an extent, especially at hatching stage.
I find this to be an interesting and new element, and if you can make it work, I might vote it up.
A question for you: how would it interact with the team? Would you arrange the interaction between team and the egg beforehand? Perhaps by OoC or Pm with another member/s? It cannot move or speak, so this is the only way I see that happening.
And if I were to vote it up, the maximum amount of posts as an egg would be around 3 posts. This of course limits the egg to being an egg that is about to hatch and no younger. Three posts usually takes up at the least, one day in RP.
Since the admins disagree, this calls for a discussion and vote amongst ourselves.

Re: Egg characters
As long as the kinks are worked out, I'd be ok with it. I just wasn't really sure what you'd be able to do with it, and a lot of time and effort might go to waste.
3 posts sounds good, especially since any more and the posts would get redundant. I'll vote it up with that in mind.
