Anime characters

I've seen several Pokemon from the games pop up on here, but is it acceptable to have Pokemon characters from the anime, like Ash's Pikachu or Team Rocket's Meowth, for example?

Well, yes neo. But those example are also characters that appear within the pokemon games.

Yes he does; Giovanni has a persian in Yellow for multiple battles.

So ... would I be allowed to use a character that only appears in the anime (like the two examples in the first post), or is this site just canon to the games? ^^;

Someone has a Smeargle that only appeared in the anime.

Oh lol Yeah, I do :'o But I honestly think it would be okay, NightFall, as long as you stay cannon.

Submit your pokemon, and we will decide from there.
It's a very gray area, and sometimes we do dabble in the anime, but not often.

From there, the admins can vote on whether it should be allowed or not.

I know this is a closed thread, but I have a question:
Would I be allowed to make Gary Oak's Blastoise from the anime?

I would say yes, on the basis that Gary is based on Blue, who is your rival in the games, and does own a blastoise.
