Savarin 29 // Arashi 36
Savarin froze as he heard growling. He looked to the other little pokemon starting to get afraid. Savarin looked behind him, seeing the Jolteon that attacked them earlier started walking up. Savarin's hoofs clicked on the ground as he turned around. Arashi had also noticed the faceless Jolteon.
"Get back, kids!" Arashi said in a defending tone, turning around and hissing at the Jolteon that made its presence known. The Jolteon made a loud barking noise, then charged up with electricity as it used Charge. Savarin snorted, lowering his head as he growled.
"What are you doing back here, you horrible thing?" he snarled, his hoof stomping the ground. The Jolteon cackled, not making any sort of talking as far as communication goes. Savarin huffed. He wasn't going to have this. Arashi hissed again.
"I've had enough of you! Run off to where you came from, you wretch!" Arashi yelled, suddenly puffing up. Arashi growled, and fired a Signal Beam straight at the Jolteon, the Jolteon itself using Discharge. Both attacks raced at each other, illuminating the cave with light. Savarin looked to the Galvantula.
"Arashi, NO!" It was too late; the attacks collided. An explosion of dust went through the cave from the attack, making Savarin cough. Arashi groaned, a rock had hit him right to the leg, rendering him as hurt. He limped up, his leg bleeding from the deep cut. The Jolteon had been struck from most of the rocks, and it cackled as it climbed from the rubble, rocks embedded into it's skin. This thing was
creepily invincible. Savarin ran to Arashi.
"Arashi, Arashi, are you hurt?" Savarin asked, concern gushing out in his voice. Arashi grumbled, limping closer.
"I'm fine. We gotta take care of this thing." Arashi winced, suddenly charging with electricity. Savarin stepped back, knowing he was ready to use Discharge. The Jolteon chuckled again, hissing and chirping as it trotted closer. Savarin turned around to it, as Arashi was still struggling with his attack. Savarin's eyes glew red with rage.
"You bastard! Get back to where you came from!" Savarin whooped like a zebra, striking the ground again with his hooves as he suddenly burst into flame. The Jolteon wasn't quite ready for Savarin to charge right into it, and it yelped as it went flying across the room. Savarin snorted, flames dying down from the attack. Arashi managed to release his attack when Savarin did, sending his Discharge right at the flying Jolteon as it crashed into the wall. The Jolteon managed to straggle up again, and Savarin stood in front of Arashi. Arashi groaned.
"What are you doing?" Arashi sighed. Savarin looked back at him, glowing determination in his eyes.
"Defending what I love. I don't want to lose anyone ever again." Savarin looked to the Jolteon as it screeched. Savarin lowered his head, getting into a fighting stance. "COME AT ME!" he threatened in a roar, smashing his hoof again. Arashi grimmaced; he had to help. There was no way her could sit back and let him handle this by himself. Arashi growled, using another Discharge at the Jolteon. It got hit, its speed slowing and faltering. Savarin waited until it got within reach, and started to glow with electricity. The Jolteon blindly continued forward, not noticing Savarin was ready to deliver the final blow. Savarin snorted, then all four of his hooves clicked as he suddenly flung himself forward. He yelled in anger, headbutting the Jolteon right as he released a Shockwave. The Jolteon screamed, getting electrocuted beyond belief. The Jolteon instantly died within the moment, its fur starting to singe from the incredible power of the move. Savarin continued to shock with electricity, but with the death of the level 50 Jolteon, his level skyrocketed. Instantaneously, he started to glow, lighting up the cave like the sun. Savarin opened his eyes, feeling of warmth flushed over him. He did it. He defended everyone.
"I saved them.... I saved them like I would have saved Felix.... I have a purpose.... I have worth...."The light flashed all the way through the cave, suddenly exploding in light.
Sparks glimmered as the light dimmed down, beginning to loosen up enough to see the form of a zebra pokemon. Savarin blinked, his form feeling a lot... bigger. He watched as the sparks playfully glided around him, realizing how powerful of an attack he used.
"Did I... evolve...?" Savarin's heart suddenly leaped. Arashi surprisingly gazed at the newly evolved Zebstrika, his eyes glittering from the still soft light.
"Savarin.... Congratulations...!" Arashis face suddenly lit up in a grin. He was so proud of this little Blitzle-- er, Zebstrika. Arashi limped over as quickly as he could, coming up to cling onto Savarin's shoulder in a hug. Savarin looked to him; he seemed a lot smaller. The zebra grinned, putting his head over Arashi's leg to return the hug. Arashi leaped down off the stripped horses shoulder.
"Arashi, are you ok?" Savarin almost stopped talking; the change in his voice was drastic. He watched as Arashi limped over to the other pokemon, who had been hiding the whole time.
"Must check on the others, buddy." Arashi said cheerfully, despite his hurt leg. Savarin smiled, and started to walk over to the other pokemon.
"Are you all alright?"
