The fear that was starting to creep up on the Galvantula made him taste copper in his mouth and his legs were going numb at the terrifying possabilities, but despite all of that he still smiled at Savarin's enthusiastic reaction.
"I know where that is. I went on a bridge that went over one. It shouldn't be that far away. Right out of the entrance of the cave and down some steps. Here, follow me." And with that he began to lead the way through the cave. Arashi followed at a more sedate pace, wincing at the pain that continued to throb through his arm. In truth, he knew this cave like the back of his mandible. He could have told Savarin just how many rivers there really were, how long each one was, how deep, and which ones were best for fishing. But he didn't have the heart or the energy to tell the Blitzle that and instead just kept pace with him.
Savarin was a little farther ahead with his sudden birst of speed into a trot but he haulted after a few paces to glance behind at the Galvantula. He purred in response and quickened his pace to keep pace with Sav. It was nice to walk side by side with him. Already it felt as if the wprld with Baby Bear and Tenebre were years away, or even another life time altogether. He sighed quietly. Oh how quickly he had swapped the kind normal type for the zebra. Shame and sarrow burned through him nearly as intense as the cuts, but he ignored them. Soon Savarin brought him to the largest river, motioning to the bank.
"Here. You can wash your wound here.... Hopefully it won't hurt you anymore...." The Blitzle smiled kindly to him and Arashi nodded in return. He was truly frightened but refused to show it. Setting the Miccino doll and the Energy Ball TM safely onto the ground next to his companion, he moved for the water. Releif shot through him as he saw the clear water was untainted. He haulted right along the edge, his forelegs an inch from the calm water. Taking a deep breathe, the Galvantula plundged his hurt arm right into the icy water. The initial shock was so great that he had to clamp his jaws to keep from screaming, allowing only a long hiss to escape him.
He rubbed at the wound while it was submerged, the small claws on his onther hand careful not to scratch at the wound. After a minute, Arashi was amazed as the fire that had smoldered so intensly before was now a slight discomforting sting. Grinning with triumph, he gently eased his arm from the water, the red scratches nothing but normal wounds that would scab over in a few hours. He winked his sucsess at Savarin, showing that he was okay.
"Ahh, that feels much nicer," he purred happily, heading back over to Sav.
