    Blackthorne City | Afternoon (27)

…..Those dragons may very well be the dumbest pokemon living at the moment….

All that time trying to be quiet, sneaky and not raise attention to himself, and those two go and whip up a giant sandstorm, practically a giant sign saying “Come and Eat” to all undead close to the area. He knew beyond doubt that soon, every undead in the vicinity will be upon them…..and if they didn’t think of anything fast, they were all dead meat.

Sand soon spread to his location, and the grains of dust both clouded his vision and stinging his eyes. He couldn’t even see Magnolia anymore, who was only a few feet away from him a moment ago.

    “Magnolia?! You still there???”

He wasn’t even sure if she would be able to hear him over this raging wind…Olle Extended his vine whips as far as they could go, then started probing the space where he thought he had seen her last, he may not be able to see her, but dammit, he could still try finding her this way. They needed to go regroup with the rest. Cause no matter how much trouble those dragons were at the moment, it was better than facing the upcoming threat alone.

((I'mma keep it that Olle didn't see the Hydreigon for now |D

The scream of a Dratini and the sounds of the dragon's voices yelling had made the Meganium pause, fearing for her new companion's safety. Looking to Olle, she took a few steps back to quickly glance at what was going on. "Hey, are you guys alri-" the sight of a dragon behemoth made her voice hitch and vanish, freezing her body in place with an overdose of terror. "...Oh Arceus please no."

Magnolia began to run as fast as she could with her stubby legs, the debris of a sandstorm blocking most of her view. “Magnolia?! You still there???” Following the voice, she could see the figure of the Ivysaur in the distance. "Olle... Olle!" coming up behind the grass-type, she quietly hoped she didn't scare him. "Olle, we need to hide, quick!" her voice was frantic and scared, the flower around her neck quivering sightly. "We need to run... it isn't safe here!"

I am very sorry that I haven't posted in so long. My computer has been acting weird, and I also haven't had the time. Skip me this turn. I will post on the next turn. Just say that Echo is still running blind in between the carcasses trying to find out what is going on.

    Locke | Crusher
    Ice Cave | Morning (51)|(12)

"Please! We need to go back to the others-- before that thing find us! We need to hide! Please Locke, let's get out of here!" Cairo yelled over the howling winds and biting sands. Fear cracked his voice, his large claws gripping the Gabites' shoulders painfully tight. Locke stood there shaking, his eyes torn away from the dragon above them to vainly look about them frantically for the small dragon.

"No!" His words were lost to the vicious sands as he was pushed away by both Cairo and Crusher.
"Come on Locke! You wanna get us all killed!?" the little Teasel shouted, shoving the large dragon as hard as he could. Locke cringed at his words, the pain on his face clear. With a whimper, the dragon grabbed up the Teasel, holding him close to his chest and shot a pained look to Cairo. He trotted clumsily next to the dragon, following his lead through the sandstorm.

(OoC- sorry I didn't realize it was my turn- I think Nova skipped Ciana??? *confusion*)

    Blackthorne City| Afternoon

Though it was halting, relief washed through Cairo's mind as Locke picked up Crusher and agreed to follow. Thank Legends. Cairo patted his fellow dragon's shoulder and turned, waddling quickly instead of flying, so the gabite wouldn't lose his form in the sandstorm. His instincts screamed to fly away as fast as possible, but he stayed his wings. He couldn't fly off, not without Locke or the others...

The others! Cairo's eyes widened with realization; their journey to the city had left them completely stranded at Ice Path's exit. Were they ok? Had they already gone ahead? Were they attacked? Questions flurried as quickly as the sands that surrounded him and he was confronted with a choice: either lead Locke and Crusher back to them, risking leading that thing with them or... try for the exit and hope for the best and a chance to regroup later. Whimpering a little with the heavy decision before him, he knew he also had to act quickly, for he could begin to see the edge of his storm.

"This way, hurry!" he called softly, trying to only let Locke and Crusher hear his voice. He waddled futher into a nearby deserted building, the crouched below the windows to hide. Hopefully, they'd get out of this alive.

"We need to run... it isn't safe here!"

Olle didn’t even see whatever it was that she had, but he could feel the fear from her voice alone. Whatever it was out there that made the two dragons summon this sandstorm, it was not pretty. And as Olle tried to figure out what course of action to take, he mentally cursed at whatever god was out there for their luck. But that wasn’t helping anything, so instead he took to the nearest house, the one he was so hesitant on entering due to the lack of visibility from the outside. It was either deal with the fearsome unknown pokemon hidden in the sandstorm, or deal with the unknown pokemon inside the house, and truthfuly, he like the idea of dealing with a pokemon that could fit inside a house rather than one that most likely could not.

So shoving the door open and practically jumping inside, all the while knocking over small trinkets on the ground wherever he stepped, Olle beaconed Magnolia in also. This place may have small…stones everywhere (heart scales?) everywhere, but it was better than being a sitting duck once the sand died down.

It’s either we stay in here till things cool down or chance things everything by going outside and finding the others right away.

He’d much rather stay here and be reletavily safe, but he wasn’t going to let Magnolia go off into danger alone, if she was stubborn about going out there, he would suffer through the harsh sand with her.

((so i made it that the building Olle entered was the move tutor's house, hence the heart scales, because....I have no real reason xD, just thought it'd be nice |D))

Magnolia didn't need words to know what to do, already shoving her larger figure inside the home, her tail gently shutting the door firmly. A few scales cracked beneath her feet under her weight, scraping the bottom of her legs. "These are..." looking down, the Meganium felt a little guilty for breaking such pretty scales. "There's so many..." the shiny plates were scattered all over the home, even more falling off the shelves and tables as the vicious sand gales slammed onto the side of the home.

"I hope Cairo and the others are alright..." she mumbled, quietly as if the undead itself was waiting outside of their door. Her neck dipped low, her head near the floor as she carefully regarded her surroundings. "Maybe... Maybe we should try to regroup with them? If we're scattered like this, we might not know that someone's in trouble until it's too late," The Meganium peeked out of a window, the wind deafening. "...What do we do?"

I CAN'T SEE! Echo shouted in his head as he darted passed the corpses of the fallen dragons, choking on the blood that he was slurping a few moments earlier. Suddenly, he heard whispers coming from a few feet before him. He didn't know who they were or where they were coming from, but he did know that the piercing screech from the sky's direction was not a welcoming sound. His eyes, slightly opened, stung from the blood; however, he was able to see a few blurry shapes before him. Of the two shapes, he saw brush and a small group of houses. He knew he was being pursued, so he quickly sped to the house closest to the brush and hid inside. Panting heavily, he waited for the wailing dragon to pass. THUMP! Oh no--it's on the roof! Echo thought as he held his breath to stop himself from screaming. He darted under the closest piece of furniture-his heart beating faster and faster as he saw the bleeding figure come closer.

    Locke | Crusher
    Ice Cave | Morning (52)|(13)

Locke shuffled in after the large dragon, holding the small Teasel close to his chest breathlessly. His eyes shot to Cairo as he plopped onto the concrete behind a large shelf.
"Wha!- What do we do!" He cried quietly, curling his large tail around them, his eyes wide with terror. The wind howled outside, the sand thick in the air. The blue dragon stretched his neck, peeking over the shelf out the windows anxiously before shrinking back.
"Locke! Let go!" Crusher hissed, pushing against the dragons' talons in frustration, shimmying out. The small pokemon flopped to the ground, quickly analyzing the building from what he could see.

    Blackthorne City| Afternoon

As Locke and Crusher hid with him, the sands still raged outside. But even over the familiar howls of a sandstorm, he could hear the roars of that creature back there. A shudder went through him, not wanting to face it again. His eyes shot to the south, where he could see the beginnings of a mountainous, foresty route just beyond the borders of the city. There, they could find cover and hide... But Olle and Mags and Nahele... He didn't know what to do. He was no leader! He could only follow orders and fly!

    Wait...

An idea happened across him. Locke and Crusher were somewhat fast, but not like himself. The other grass types near the cave were even less so. If Locke and Crusher could rejoin the others, and then make a break out of the city... it might give them a chance. All they needed was a distraction. A really, really fast distraction.

Cairo swallowed his fear and took a steadying breath. At least all of the adrenaline would make him quicker. He looked to Locke, a somber look to his eyes. "Locke, I need you to listen to me, ok?" he spoke over the winds, catching the other dragon's attention. "I need you to go find the others near the cave we left and make for that route." He pointed south, where trees were just visible. "The sand's going to end soon. You need to hurry. I'll meet you on the route, ok? I'm going to keep that... thing... off your tails." Before a protest could be made, he took a grip of Locke's shoulders. "You can't argue with me on this-- there's no time! Just do it, ok? I know you can. You beat me in the race, remember? You'll make it." He gave a small smile, then turned to jump out from behind the building.

    Blackthorne City | Afternoon (29)

Olle really hated to be the one to make the decisions….

He wished so badly to be back with his team, where he knew his place, where he was told what to do and how to, so there wasn’t ever much he could be blamed for when things went wrong. Now…he would be entirtely blamed for whatever came out of his mouth next, what Magnolia would do next, and what would possibly happen to the group. And It scared the hell out of him.

He would have had a full on panic attack if not for one simple little thing. Something so trivial that one would not have noticed it till long after the fact. Something that has been with Olle since the beginning, since a long long time was no longer there. His necklace had fallen or ripped during the sandstorm, and other there lying in the open and lost in the shifting sands, was his everstone, the only thing keeping Olle from evolving.

And he could feel it, feel it coming on hard. That pulsating energy swirling inside him, waiting to explode all around him. And it hurt, a lot. He was trying his hardest to keep the sensation down, and focusing on only not evolving, if he were to evolve right now, he would not be fast enough to evade whatever it was out there. And he would be a large target, free for the taking like that. But it was hard, hard because it hurt so much, it wasn’t supposed to be hurting this much, his first evolution never even hurt, just felt odd, the sudden change in height and weight. But now as his flower bulb threatened to bloom, olle was trying his hardest to keep his voice steady.

“Magnolia, no time to question me. Just. Just run in that direction. Back to the ice cave entrance. I’mma…I’mma distract whatever it is out there meanwhile.”

She would most likely not head his advice, so he tried to use his vine whips to push her towards the door, prepared to close it and start holding his pain in once he did. The screams that he would stop suppressing would be more than enough to attract whatever it was out there once he started. Because right now, running was not an option, at least not for him, might as well try to act as bait for a bit and hope for the best, hope that maybe he could evolve without passing out from the pain and survive…

But first he needed Magnolia gone, and fast.

((didn't want to force your Magnolia gone, but i do have a bit of an idea |D))

“Magnolia, no time to question me. Just. Just run in that direction. Back to the ice cave entrance. I’mma…I’mma distract whatever it is out there meanwhile.” The Meganium was shocked, eyes wide and fiercely shaking her head. "No! Don't you DARE take on whatever that monster was alone! You can't, please, don't do thi-" her voice died as hive vine whips slowly ushered her to the door, the sandy gales already slapping her face with force. She winced, eyes watery as she looked back at the Ivysaur. "You've gotta promise that you'll live, okay? Promise,"

As she took her first step outside, her gaze became fierce with determination. Glaring at the other grass-type, not with anger, but with hope. "I'll meet you at the Ice Cave entrance, alive." she spoke firmly, her flower slowly tattering in the wind. "Good luck!" she shouts, her flowers shimmering with gorgeous light as an Aromatherapy was released into the house, before she ran off.

The Meganium fought against her limited vision, retracing her clumsy footsteps to the cold entrance to the caves. Magnolia squints, slowly making progress through the storm.

Echo gazed in horror at the grotesque, gory limbs of the beast that entered the small cubicle. He could feel his heart pounding in his throat harder and harder as the creature drew nearer. He let out a small gasp of air as the monster slid past him which caused the creature to pause abruptly to listen for its prey. GREAT! Now it knows that I am in here!

He darted his head left and right, looking for another escape route out of the house; however, the only exit was the entrance from which he came and a small hole in the wall made by some sort of rodent. Echo, at first, thought of darting toward the open doorway; but that would mean he would have to jump over the creature's injured limb and leap into the brush. This idea was quickly thwarted by the monster's movement from the side of the chest of drawers Echo was under to the side of the furniture that led to the doorway. Now, the mouse hole was the only hope he had; but the dark interior was too hard to see from where he was in the room and could possibly be a dead end with no escape. His fate would depend on whether or not the rodent who made the hole decided to dig an exit to the outside. This is far too risky...but maybe I could- "RAAAAGH!" the monster roared as it suddenly squeezed its head underneath the chest of drawers to grab the dratini. On instinct, Echo let out a harsh cry which made the dragon tear away from the piece of furniture in pain. Quickly, Echo dashed toward the hole in the wall and dove into it.

As he maneuvered himself through the hole, the predator crashed into the wall continuously, making gravel fall down all around Echo. A small beam of light gleamed through a tiny crevice; however, it was too narrow for Echo to squeeze through. "Oooooh, this is going to be gross!" he said as he opened his mouth to bite into the dirt. It took him nearly 7 seconds, continuously swallowing and spitting out dirt, to create a large enough hole to crawl through. All the while, the bloodthirsty predator was crashing against the wall in hopes of reaching its prey.

Coming out into the blinding sunlight, Echo saw a familiar figure rise from the brush. It was Cairo!

    Blackthorne City|Afternoon
    (1/both)

Phoebe and Icarus walked slowly towards the edge of the city, the large female having been forced to land due to the storm since Icarus couldn't hang on. They were both immune to the stinging sands and wind, but that didn't mean the Flygon should be in the air in this kind of weather. Not with her small passenger, at least. They were heading for the only shapes they could make out in the raging cloud of sand, those of the large structures of a nearby city. Icarus hated the idea of going into the city, worried more about running into more living creatures rather than dead ones, and Phoebe had to do a lot of fast talking to convince him. Icarus was just hard to crack.

The little Archen hopped slowly, his footprints wiped away by the winds before his feet were even fully off of the ground. He frowned as something began to buzz above the sounds of the howling wind. It almost sounded like...like when Phoebe was flying. Yes, it had to be, the sharp yet melodic sounds of a Flygon's beating wings. But...Phoebe was on the ground right here beside him...so how? He didn't like the idea that something else was out in the storm with them when he could barely see in front of his own stone beak.

Phoebe was acutely aware of the sounds Icarus was hearing, more than able to pick out the sounds of her own kind. Her shielded eyes were able to peer through the sandstorm with no trouble as she tried to find the source of the humming. Soon the familiar shape of a Flygon appeared silhouetted in the sand and Phoebe placed her tail in front of Icarus to stall him. She didn't know if this creature was friend or foe but she was not going to let it take the little bird. "Hold steady..." she warned, feeling the Archen hop back towards her. "What does it want?"

If only Phoebe knew. But to be out in this storm it couldn't be good.

There was no time to debate. Despite Locke's heartwrenching cries for him to stay, Cairo knew he had no other choice. There simply was not another way for this to go on with hopes of any of them surviving. He launched himself upward, his powerful wings carrying him swiftly up and out of the sandstorm, the cool breeze on his scales rather than the comforting tingle of sand. From his high vantage point, he could see the hulking behemoth still at the gym, making its way toward his sandstorm. Taking a deep, steadying breath, he prayed that Locke would listen to reason and do as he told... otherwise, this would all be in vain.

"Hey, o-over here!" he called, darting a little in the air. "You, with the... the ugly face!" Sure enough, insult or no, the hydra's heads all looked to him, mouths drooling dyed saliva. Cairo's heart stuttered with fear, his body boiling with adrenaline. Oh, how he hoped he could out run this thing long enough for everyone to make it to the route... He chanced looking back, hoping to see Locke and Crushers' retreating forms when two others caught his eye. A bird he didn't know and... another flygon? He only had a moment to ponder who they were before a roar interrupted his thoughts, reminding him just what he was doing in the air. With a small yelp of fear, he darted away, leading the now airborne dragon back over the gym.

    Blackthorne City | Afternoon (30)

"You've gotta promise that you'll live, okay? Promise. I'll meet you at the Ice Cave entrance, alive."

As much as he really wanted to make that promise, he wasn't entirely certain he would have been able to keep it. He wanted to, oh how he really wanted to. But he wasn't so sure if he'd be able to even remember that promise soon enough, he wasn't even sure if he'd want her to see him again, not like that.

Another blinking flash of light and energy and Olle was no longer able to keep his pain silent. With Magnolia gone, he didn't have to worry about screaming that much, and the screams that came.....it sounded like someone unseen force was brutally torturing Olle in that small house. His insides felt like they would melt at any second, a red hot burning that threatened to make him pass out from pain alone. But it was his head that was taking the blunt of the force. A headache that literally felt like his skull was being split in half for his brain-matter to flow out, which was not showing any signs of letting up anytime soon.

He knew the cause, he knew but he had denied it. Didn't even will himself to verify it before, but now it was obvious. His red scarf, which was given to him by his trainer, a sign of acceptance, one which the trainer gave to all of his teammates, the same his teammate wrapped around his torso after getting attacked, and before disappearing on Olle. It now fell to the ground listlessly, its red coloring doing nothing to hide the darker shade of red in the middle. A wound that Olle had been too scared to look at, was now open for the world to see, to see the nasty shade it had turned from both lack of maintenance, and from signs of infection. That attack that caused Olle to use his scarf as a belt was the same that was now causing him so much pain, because even as his throat burned, and his lungs fought for every last breath, Olle knew he was not dying. Something much worse was happening to him, he was turning. And the only thing he could think of in that last moment was that he wished the others didn't have to see him like that....

One last scream pierced the heavens, and the next instant silence was all that came from the hut. Outside the sandstorm continued as if nothing had even happened, as if Olle had never even existed in the first place. And in a way, it was now true, for the energy ball that shot through the roof of the hut and soared through the sky's could barely be recognized as the puny one he used to throw before.

OOC: I can't make a post right now. If one of the flygons could say which one will notice Echo, that would be nice; so I could build the next post off of that person's post.

She was right, it wasn't good. Thankfully it wasn't after them itself but the Flygon wasn't exactly the bearer of good news either. "Hey, o-over here You, with the... the ugly face!" What a colorful way to attract an undead dragon. Phoebe wasted no time in snatching her feathered companion in her mouth by the tail and taking off into the air, allowing the smaller version of herself to lead the creature away. Icarus protested the action with a loud squawk but quickly silenced himself when he saw something black slithering into the storm. "Wait you monstrous woman! There's something down there!" While displeased with Icarus's still foul attitude towards her she couldn't exactly scold him while holding the boy in her mouth.

Dropping down lower she hovered just above a small house to see an oddly dark Dratini emerging from a hole. 'What an odd little thing...' she pondered to herself, curious as to how he would have developed such a coloration. But his red eyes gave her pause and she beat her wings back to scoot away, not willing to put Icarus in danger for a curiosity. Icarus squawked once more in protest and Phoebe was forced to grip his wings in her claws so he would stop struggling. "I don't know who you are, child, but I would suggest finding a better hiding place. A demon haunts this storm that you do not wish to meet." Looking back to where the other Flygon had lured a Hydreigon she sighed, knowing that such a small boy couldn't handle that all by himself.

She would have to do something.

Setting Icarus down on a nearby roof she looked at the boy with intense eyes before leaning down to speak in his ear, wanting him to hear every word in this storm. "Stay here, Icarus. There is something I need to take care of and I want you safe." Nodding slowly the Archen understood she was going after the other dragon. Phoebe was always stopping to help anyone she could, though she always put his safety above anything else. It was odd for him to have found such a companion and while he still didn't fully trust her motives just yet, he could at least say he trusted her enough to come back for him. "I will stay..." Phoebe gave Icarus a small smile and a tap with her tail before she took off into the air, the hum of her beating wings growing louder the more she pushed herself into the storm. But a large ball of light shot from a roof and nearly clipped the Flygon, forcing her to succumb to the fierce winds and get sent soaring up into the clear air. Clean air? Ah...so this was a summoned storm, probably from her fellow Flygon. He must have done it as a form of cover, but it was no matter considering the monster he was trying to distract. But why was he trying to get its attention if the storm was for cover?

'There must be others!' The realization hit Phoebe like a Hyper Beam, making her feel like a fool for not stopping to help earlier. If the smaller boy was willing to risk life and wing to get a Hydreigon's attention then it must be so that others who couldn't fight could get away, just like she had done for Icarus several times. Swooping back down into the storm she readied her Dragon Claw, coming up behind the hydra and digging the attack deep into its back as it went for the small shiny. Its roar was deafening even in the winds of the sandstorm, but at least it knew it wasn't going to get an easy target now. With her claws still dug into its back she looked over its shoulder to the Flygon and called for him. "I'll keep it busy, you get whoever is still down there out of here!" Icarus was still down there too, but she would come back for him. She always came back for him.

((Nova, if you want Icarus is still nearby for you to interact with.))

    Locke | Crusher
    Ice Cave | Morning (53)|(14)

Locke ran to the door after the retreating dragon, his finned claw moving to grab him in vain. The Gabite whimpered as his gaze went to the small ice type at his side.
"What do we do!?" He shouted, his claws against the door frame.
"We do what he said! We gotta find the othe-!" The Teasel jumped back as a terrible howl came from somewhere outside, followed by a brilliant beam of light shooting straight into the sky.
Locke lowered himself to the ground, looking to Crusher in bewilderment.
"I-I think that was Olle! The green thing! It sounded like him!" He hissed.
"Let's go then! He might need our help!" The Teasel replied, bounding outside towards the source of the cry. Crusher was immediately bombarded by the harsh sands, but he pushed ahead, his eyes half closed against the howling winds. "Hurry! This way!" He growled, skittering through an alleyway and leaping over garbage heaps. Locke followed in obedience, clumsily plowing through the garbage.

It sounded like it came from here! The small Teasel thought, scrambling around a buildings' corner and through the closest door.
"Olle!" He shouted over the wind, his boyish voice echoing in the heavily damaged building. The Teasel froze, his eyes growing wide in horror when he saw the newly evolved plant-type, gasping for air under an enormous hole in the ceiling. The Venusaur was gargantuan- but something was very wrong, and it set off every alarm in the ice weasels' brain. The great fronds on his back were sickly and wilting, and the flower in the center gleamed a disturbing dark color, which seemed to be giving off a horrid, rotting stench. The Sneasel backed up with caution, confusion and fear overwhelming him.

"Crusher! Where are you!?" Locke hollered outside, the Gabite slowing his approach.

(Tryvex dear, we can talk about what we want to happen in the RP discussion)

    Blackthorne City| Afternoon

It was terrifying, the hydra chasing him as he darted around in the air like a cat toy to a giant, rabid luxray. His heart pounded in his ears, his limbs shook with fright, and his stomach was currently content with performing acrobatics in his ribcage; Cairo was absolutely scared out of his wits, the fact that he was airborne the only thing keeping him moving. Suddenly, the hydra gave out a gargantuan roar, causing the shiny to look behind him. While he initially thought the other dragon was about to eat him, his pursuer was somewhat far off, and thrashing a little. Had something hit it? Confused, Cairo could only watch as his mirror, only non-shiny, flew up expertly from the dragon. "I'll keep it busy, you get whoever is still down there out of here!"

"B-But--!" he cried, unsure of this strange new turn of events. His eyes looked down through the thinning storm to reveal two figures not heading for the route, instead going back to the ice cave exit for the others. He looked back to his female counterpart, this stranger that had so easily taken such a terrible responsibility from him, nodding his gratitude. To aid her and further hinder the hydra, he summoned another Sandstorm, wreathing his fellow dragons in another cloud of vicious, swarming sands. He took his opportunity and dove down, following Locke and Crusher.

When he caught up to them, he paused in mid-air, eyes wide with horror at the sight before him. A venusaur, obviously infected. Its tree wilted and discolored, skin bloated and pale. Cairo's terrified gaze slowly went to the discarded red scarf lying uselessly nearby. Olle...! All of that time... He'd been....

"Locke, Crusher, get away from him!" Cairo cried, fearful Locke's curious, magnanimous heart would lead him closer to the danger. He dove down, grasping Locke's shoulder, trying to pull him from the creature that was once their friend. "He's not..." It was too hard to say that it wasn't their friend, that the creature before them was no longer the little ivysaur they'd found in Mahogany. "We need to go!"

((Let me know if I need to change anything. Ana :3))
