She was right, it wasn't good. Thankfully it wasn't after them itself but the Flygon wasn't exactly the bearer of good news either.
"Hey, o-over here You, with the... the ugly face!" What a colorful way to attract an undead dragon. Phoebe wasted no time in snatching her feathered companion in her mouth by the tail and taking off into the air, allowing the smaller version of herself to lead the creature away. Icarus protested the action with a loud squawk but quickly silenced himself when he saw something black slithering into the storm.
"Wait you monstrous woman! There's something down there!" While displeased with Icarus's still foul attitude towards her she couldn't exactly scold him while holding the boy in her mouth.
Dropping down lower she hovered just above a small house to see an oddly dark Dratini emerging from a hole.
'What an odd little thing...' she pondered to herself, curious as to how he would have developed such a coloration. But his red eyes gave her pause and she beat her wings back to scoot away, not willing to put Icarus in danger for a curiosity. Icarus squawked once more in protest and Phoebe was forced to grip his wings in her claws so he would stop struggling.
"I don't know who you are, child, but I would suggest finding a better hiding place. A demon haunts this storm that you do not wish to meet." Looking back to where the other Flygon had lured a Hydreigon she sighed, knowing that such a small boy couldn't handle that all by himself.
She would have to do something.
Setting Icarus down on a nearby roof she looked at the boy with intense eyes before leaning down to speak in his ear, wanting him to hear every word in this storm.
"Stay here, Icarus. There is something I need to take care of and I want you safe." Nodding slowly the Archen understood she was going after the other dragon. Phoebe was always stopping to help anyone she could, though she always put his safety above anything else. It was odd for him to have found such a companion and while he still didn't fully trust her motives just yet, he could at least say he trusted her enough to come back for him.
"I will stay..." Phoebe gave Icarus a small smile and a tap with her tail before she took off into the air, the hum of her beating wings growing louder the more she pushed herself into the storm. But a large ball of light shot from a roof and nearly clipped the Flygon, forcing her to succumb to the fierce winds and get sent soaring up into the clear air. Clean air? Ah...so this was a summoned storm, probably from her fellow Flygon. He must have done it as a form of cover, but it was no matter considering the monster he was trying to distract. But why was he trying to get its attention if the storm was for cover?
'There must be others!' The realization hit Phoebe like a Hyper Beam, making her feel like a fool for not stopping to help earlier. If the smaller boy was willing to risk life and wing to get a Hydreigon's attention then it must be so that others who couldn't fight could get away, just like she had done for Icarus several times. Swooping back down into the storm she readied her Dragon Claw, coming up behind the hydra and digging the attack deep into its back as it went for the small shiny. Its roar was deafening even in the winds of the sandstorm, but at least it knew it wasn't going to get an easy target now. With her claws still dug into its back she looked over its shoulder to the Flygon and called for him.
"I'll keep it busy, you get whoever is still down there out of here!" Icarus was still down there too, but she would come back for him. She always came back for him.
((Nova, if you want Icarus is still nearby for you to interact with.))
