Kaiden was relieved they all made it to the store safely, but it seemed not many of them trusted each other. Despite being a group, they were all separated by very noticeable gaps. Well, other than the pair lying on his back, that is. Couldn't get much closer than that. The tiny fire type seemed worried about the unconscious critter behind him, asking Monty if he would be alright. Kaiden, too, was worried about that.
“Can’t say he looks too good...”
“Speak for yourself,”
Well well, it seemed that sleeping beauty was awake now. That was a relief. Kaiden didn't want to have to separate Monty from a dead body, that could be...traumatizing. For the snake, at least. Of course, the snake flipped out and he felt his fur bristle as one of them slid off rather quickly. The other soon followed and a sight Kaiden didn't think would be possible occurred. Monty was wrapped around Cap, though it wasn't in a Wrap, it was in a hug. ...'Kay.
With everyone else busy he decided to scrounge around for more food for everyone. He had knocked several of the shelves over so it wouldn't be as easy to find as last time. So he settled for sniffing out any torn bags and digging through junk to find them. Finally coming across a fairly large sack he grabbed it in his mouth and dragged it out, leaving it to rest in the center of their 'group'. "Eat," was all he told them before going to sit by the window near the door. Something was bothering him but he couldn't quite place it.
“G-Guys, do you think we should go find Ari?” Kaiden's ear twitched and moved backward, though the rest of his form didn't even flinch to the sound. It was the only sign that he heard Monty at all. “There’s no sign of her...” At the sign that Monty was ready to go himself he finally moved, putting a massive paw in front of the snakes path. The look on his face wasn't malicious, it was more blank than anything else. Kaiden knew that, even if Monty was willing and ready to fight, Cap wouldn't be able to handle it. He just woke up from being unconscious for crying out loud. He looked at Monty and nodded his head to the others.
"Watch them," he told Monty and Jude, the only two he knew with any sense. "I'll go." With that, he stepped carefully back out the door before tracking Ari with his nose. Blood, he could smell blood. Fresh blood, and not the scent of death that usually hung around the black ooze the infected called blood. He barked loudly before using an Agility to get to Ari that much quicker. He could only hope he arrived in time to help the crazy B.
