    Celadon City || Afternoon [12]

"Spread out. Our best way of defeating it is confusing it, which really isn't hard. Just keep faster than it and it'll be too confused to do anything else. I'll get back in the sky."

Well, looked like Ari was back, already laying out a battle plan before rocketing off into the sky. Montague and Capulet waited at first, engrossed in the prehistoric bird’s display of efficiently blinding the snorlax. The zangoose gave a whistle, impressed at the bird’s ferocity after only recently seeing her close to death’s doorstep. She was certainly a tough one. Then the others were off, Kaiden and Eva contributing their own fire attacks, whilst Jude used tactics to make his razor leaf even more damaging. Smirking, the serpent and ferret exchanged a glance before running back into the battle, Capulet having shaken off his initial terror. It was just another undead – albeit a massive, vomit-inducing one.

Montague released a powerful flamethrower, the pair falling into old battle routines as the zangoose launched his razor wind into the flames; a similar demonstration to the grass dog’s tactics. As Capulet glanced over to the canine in question, he grew alarmed to see the snorlax falling towards him. Going to alert Montague, the sudden appearance of a tall, black canine with a flash of pink stopped the ferret as it darted in to save Jude. Apparently the seviper had grown confused at the lack of Cap’s attacking and soon followed his partner’s gaze to the zoroark and Jude.
“A friend?” Montague suggested, figuring that the canine wearing a feather boa would be the norm for a leafeon with those piercings and spiked hair.

A tremor in the earth snapped the pair’s attention back to the snorlax, the beast now lying vulnerable on the ground. It looked like a good opportunity to end this thing. Making the most of the monster’s immobility, Capulet aimed a razor wind at the creature’s face, a number of deep gashes surfacing on its bulbous, rotting features. Monty’s lip curled back, disgusted at the thick, pungent blood that soon began to ooze out of its injuries. Forced to look away, he finally succumbed to the smell with an intense upheaval of his stomach contents.
“That’s not gonna help the smell, Mont,” Cap called back with a chuckle, disguising his concern for the snake by making a joke out of the situation. Through the serpent’s vomiting, Montague managed to choke out a pained, “Fuck you,” the stomach acid burning against his throat. Keeping one eye on the seviper, Capulet retreated a few steps, preferring to stand at a safer distance from their enemy whilst his partner was in such a state. The ferret patted the snake’s back supportively, hearing an irritable hiss surface in response. He gave another quick chuckle, before launching a final razor wind. With the combined effort of the group, surely this battle would be over in no time; at least he hoped so.

Ari couldn't help a cackle of triumph as the snorlax finally fell, its bloated insides rippling from the force hard enough to be visible from her height above. Still, even with the snorlax down, it was still a major threat. She could see everyone getting overpowered by its terrible reek, and most of them had short-ranged, melee attacks at their disposal... herself included. Plus the posse of birds that flocked around it didn't help.

She banked and dove back down to the action, seeing as how the snorlax could no longer follow. While the others used longer ranged-attacks on the snorlax, she took it upon herself to kill the other little pests that insisted on existing. With her powerful claws and tail, she used her Smack Down on the little peon Dodrio and Doduo, smashing them literally into the pavement, their head-goo spilling everywhere.

Once the great majority were gone or running away, she looked to the snorlax. If she used Smack Down on it, it would probably explode and cover her head to feather in disgusting, rotting blood. Best to let the others kill it...even though she would love the chance of killing such a beast herself.

((OOC: Anyone who wants, feel free to kill the snorlax now :3))

With everyone working together, the creature was unable to keep up. The addition of a mysterious dark canine also added to the frenzy, as he rescued Jude from being crushed under the monstrosity. Kaiden wasn't sure why Jude launched a leaf attack into his fire, but when he saw the leaves turn into burning razors he had to hand it to the punk, that was pretty damn creative. It wasn't long before the beast was on his last legs.

Ari took after the horde following the beast, taking out all of her days frustrations on them. He was glad she was feeling better, but Kaiden couldn't help thinking that she was still over-reacting. She didn't have to go all postal on them. The smell was threatening to overwhelm him. Puss and gore were dribbling out of the open wounds, and dark ooze passing for blood was running down its body. But when he saw the creature falter he took the chance. He charged full force, using an Agility to boost his speed, before pouncing and landing right on the decaying puss-ball.

He stared at its gaping maw, the smell of its former meals hitting his nose, and Kaiden wasted no time in letting loose a powerful Flamethrower, making the Sleeping Pokemon eat his fire. Its body burned from the inside out, boiling and expanding until its tattered and decayed flesh could hold no longer and gave. The explosion of rotten meat and thick blood splattered everywhere, coating the walls and Kaiden himself. He shivered in disgust and fought the urge to lick his coat. He didn't want to get the disease himself. he took one look at the splatter-mark that used to be their foe, then glanced at the rest of the group.

"Bath." That was all he said before taking off to another floor to find water.

Once the Snorlax was down Eva watched Kaiden destroy it with a flamethower making explode. The entire room was filled with the stench of decay and smoke, and also covered in the Snorlax's remains. Eva couldn't stomach it anymore and she ran outside the building a little and breathed in some fresh air. Eva then saw a strange fluffy canid with Jude. Curiosity getting the better of her she went up to the pare and asked, " Hello, what's your name, fuzzy one?" Manners had never been one of her strong points.

Rei watched as Kaiden finished the Snorlax with his flamethrower, making its body expand before it finally exploded in a blast of fire and flesh. Kaiden being the closest to the undead got completely covered in its remains. Rei got a little bit on her pelt, but not as much as the canine did. He turned to them and simply said "bath," before leaving to find some water. You really need one. She thought to herself as she watched him go before turning to Ari, who had dealt with the lesser infected.

Rei didn't take part in the battle, and she hoped they wouldn't think it was cause she would brake a claw or get her pretty pelt dirty, cause it wasn't. The others would have just gotten in the way of her attacks, she would have liked to end that Snorlax with her strongest attack, but of course, everyone kept getting in her way. The Delcatty liked it better when she was on her own, then she didn't have to worry about everyone else getting under her paws.

Rei shook her fur, getting what little blood got on her off. She didn't care if it was there, but she didn't want to risk it when she went to groom herself that she would get infected, so she pointed her head up and used her Blizzard. It wasn't as great as a water attack, but the light snow came down and soaked into her fur, it was cold, thus, snow would be, but it managed to clean her fur a little.

With a foul, thunderous popping sound, a literal tsunami of internal matter coated the surrounding area. Montague felt the warm, thick substance splash powerfully against his back, his body still turned away from the snorlax in his physical reaction to the stench. Needless to say, he brought up another bucketful of vomit at the realization of what was now coating his body. Capulet was equally as impressed. His eyes had widened as he’d watched Kaiden bound onto the undead, suddenly slamming them shut at the realization of what was soon to follow. Now, he hesitantly opened his eyes, the front-side of his body decorated in a layer of red, bodily fluid. He was utterly speechless, using the back of his arm to wipe his face slightly, the gory liquid clinging onto his once pristine, white fur. Looking to Montague, his mouth hanging open in disgust, the pair simply stared at one another for a moment. A smirk suddenly appeared on the snake’s lips, a slither of vomit still dribbling down his chin.
“Gross,” The snake observed, suddenly bursting into a fit of laughter, soon accompanied by the ferret. They stood there in a bubble of their own relief, chuckling in euphoria of life as the snorlax remains clung devotedly to their bodies.

    “Bath,”

Kaiden had spoken so bluntly that it was inevitable to have heightened the pair’s laughter. Jude soon bounded after the massive fire-type, whilst the feline used some snow attack to remove the little blood that had stained her precious coat. Capulet snorted – he thought that whole thing was hilarious. A little bit of blood never hurt anybody, and what the hell, they were still alive!
“Come on,” Capulet grinned, moving to trot on all fours after the arcanine – it looked like he knew where he was going. Although a good distance behind the two canines, the pair followed the pleasant trail of blood up the floors in a bid to find a source of water too. It would’ve probably been easier to go to a stream or something, but honestly, there might not have been one for miles.
“Did you see them?!” Montague exclaimed excitedly on their way up. “Bloody hell, they didn’t even bat an eyelid! Fearless, I tell ya. Fearless,” Capulet gave a chuckle at the serpent’s admiration for the display of teamwork he’d just witnessed.
“It was pretty impressive, I’ll give ‘em that,” The ferret and snake slowed to a halt as they finally reached the two canines who’d sped ahead. “Did ya have to make such a mess, Kaiden?” Capulet chuckled light-heartedly, Montague grinning along at the state of the other two.

There was only a moment's notice before Kaiden lunged at the Snorlax, flame jetting from his mouth into the trash bag's. At the alarming rate the snoralx was inflating, Ari only got a split second to cover herself with her wings before the wet "pop" echoed, and a torrent of rotten blood, innards and undigested meals swam onto her and around her feet. She lifted her head, coughing at the stench. "GOD, that was GROSS!" She erupted into a laugh, however, simply so relieved that that nightmare was finally over.

She shook herself off a little before noticing the others trail along to a water source to get the shit off. Grinning, she quickly moved to join them, very ok with the idea of getting clean again. "So..." she began when she caught up to the others, "Who's hungry?"

As he raced towards the next floor down, he caught the scent of others following. Considering the mess he made, it wasn't surprising. But they'd be mistaken if they thought they were getting clean before he was. He was not going to risk infection being polite, hell no. Actually, make that fuck no. He rounded the corned and saw exactly what he was looking for, the grooming station. He wasted no time in checking the faucet to see if water still flowed, and was relieved to see that it did.

The faucet gave him trouble, as his paws covered twice the area of it, but he didn't care for temperature. He just wanted the damn thing on. The spray came down harshly and he carefully sniffed the water, checking for any hint of contamination. The water was clear and crisp, though very cold, and had no odor of death. Looks like the store had its own water supply. Excellent. He dove under the spray of water and was disgusted at the amount of gore that sloshed off his fur and fell with a sick thud to the floor. It was gross.

As the water poured over him, ridding his coat of the mess he had made, his mind began to wander. He thought on his sister, and how she would have taunted him for his current predicament. Though, most likely, it would have been one of her pranks that would make him end up like this. The tiny Eevee had a nose for trouble, and never wasted time throwing herself right in the middle of it. Much like a certain dino-bird he met. When he finally felt rid of the gore he lept from the shower and gave a heavy shake, sending water spraying everywhere. He wasn't sure if anyone else was in the room with him, but he hoped they didn't mind a little bit of extra water. Or wet dog smell.

"So...Who's hungry?" Kaiden turned to see Ari standing there, looking at the mess, and he couldn't help it. The look on her face was too much like Adara, and Kaiden just began laughing uncontrollably. At one point, he began choking on his own air before laughing even harder. It was a welcome relief from the nightmare they just went through, and he had Ari to thank for that. She might be a psycho, but she was a pretty decent one. He gave her a smile and a nod as his silent way of thanking the bird.

    “So... who’s hungry?”

Montague turned in the direction of the voice, pleased to see Ari in an equally as horrific state as everyone else. He was surprised to have caught sound of her chuckling, thinking such a euphoric noise was odd to have escaped such a powerful, territorial female. Nevertheless, it was clearly a time for celebration – even the usually silent Arcanine had erupted into laughter. It was contagious, the serpent soon finding himself contributing his own slick, albeit far quieter laugh. Before he could offer any reply, he felt a sudden tug from the colour as Capulet leapt towards the shower Kaiden had previously used. Apparently the novelty of being covered in Snorlax innards was wearing off for his companion.
“How do you work this stupid th-“ Capulet’s grumbles were cut off as a sudden, powerful jet of water fell from the shower-head, causing him to yelp in surprise. Damn, it was cold. Montague darted beneath the water for the shortest amount of time possible, disgusted at the tingly sensation the liquid had on his heat-sensitive body. The ferret must’ve managed to muck it up somehow – but then again, the thickness of the Arcanine’s fur might’ve prevented him from practically crumbling beneath such an unbearable temperature. Shivering slightly as he stood as far from the shower as the chain would allow, Montague managed a weak smile at the ‘powerhouse’ pair. Capulet finally joined him, leaving the shower running in his infuriation of how the mechanism worked. He was a fairly intelligent pokémon, but now wasn’t a time when he wanted to learn about plumbing.

Standing side by side, the supposed ‘nemeses’ looked a fairly comical state. The Seviper shivering as he disguised his longing for a moment to bask in the sun, and Capulet’s fur hanging low, dripping wet to efficiently cover his face. Using a now clean paw to push back an amount of fur that had fallen across his vision, the Zangoose had accidently styled himself with a quiff, albeit sopping wet and alike to some sleazy gangster.
“Nice hair,” Montague remarked with a smirk, motioning to the oblivious Zangoose’s head. Capulet ignored him with a snort, turning his attention to Ari and Kaiden.
“Someone say food?” He grinned enthusiastically; rubbing his claws together in anticipation for what he hoped would be a satisfying feast. Hell, they deserved one!

Ari's grin grew more as the big fire guy erupted in laughter, and she couldn't help but join in herself. The relief of having a moment of peace after such an intense and horrible battle -and day, for that matter- was overwhelming and brought a peace of mind she hadn't had in a long time. She went to the shower after Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, grinning at the ferret's new hairdo.

"I'm not sure if emo coif is really in style anymore there, buddy," she teased as she hopped into the shower for herself, finally, with the running water still going.

"TITS, THIS IS COLD!" Ari found herself shrieking as freezing water enveloped her in an embrace she wasn't all sure she wanted to be a part of. It chilled her to the bone, and she flailed a little as the snorlax lumps slopped off her in wet messes. She made her shower as short-lived as possible, brushing herself off in the water to remove any stinking bits, and then nearly ran to the other side of the room and shook herself. "Shit!" she exclaimed. "Humans are freaking NUTS to bathe in water that cold!"

"Someone say food?" the ferret asked, and Ari's wide grin returned.

"Well, buddy boy, I'd say I owe you a little bit of food for getting that snorlax dead, huh? Let's go back to my place and fuckin' pig out. All that fighting-- I'm STARVED!" She then led the way out and back to the main floor of the department store, carefully maneuvering around the bits of snorlax. She then began getting food from the rubble and tossed it out at the others, not minding the fact she was giving away her hard earned cash.

She plopped down with her own bag of food and ripped it open, digging in.

"TITS, THIS IS COLD!" Kaiden's already boisterous laughter grew even more intense at her outburst. He couldn't help but be a little relieved to see that Ari was more than just screaming and attitude. She was pretty damn funny, too. "Well, buddy boy, I'd say I owe you a little bit of food for getting that snorlax dead, huh? Let's go back to my place and fuckin' pig out. All that fighting-- I'm STARVED!" He gave her a smile, which fell slightly as she departed to head downstairs.

He...he couldn't stay. This fight, seeing Ari like that, his heart and his head was filled with his smaller sibling. Adara was out there somewhere, all alone, and who knew what kind of trouble she was getting into. The tiny Eevee was a magnet for it, when she wasn't actually the one causing the problem. He needed to find her, and since he has already stolen a share from the bird he didn't feel right taking more. He padded softly down the stairs to find Ari happily munching on a bag. He smirked once again at the subtle reminder of his sister.

"I'm sorry," he told her, not sure what else to say. He looked around nervously to everyone that had gathered around the dino-bird and gave them all a sad smile. "I can't stay, my-" It was the strangest thing, saying so much at a time. He actually had to pause half way through just to try and piece the last of the sentence together. He never spoke this much, except to his sister. He'd never been comfortable enough. "My sister...she needs me." With his last piece said, and everyone safe and sound, he gave Ari a small bow and took his leave. Walking out the door of the store and never looking back.

Eva had fallen asleep on Boris and took a nap for a little. But she had awakened to Ari and the rest of the group coming to the main floor. Eva just ignored the commotion for a little until she heard the word food. Her head popped up and she jumped off boris and ran to some food Ari had passed out and greedily dug in.
"I can't stay, my-" Kaiden started but paused.
"My sister ... she needs me." He finished.
Eva stopped eating for a moment and looked up in shock. First because Kaiden used a full sentence, and second he was leaving. She didn't want him to go but if it was for family she thought it was probably for the best.
"Good bye ... I guess. I hope you find your sister." Eva said sadly. She would miss him if he left, but she wouldn't admitt it.

"Well, buddy boy, I'd say I owe you a little bit of food for getting that snorlax dead, huh? Let's go back to my place and fuckin' pig out. All that fighting-- I'm STARVED!"

Capulet mimicked Ari’s grin, pleased to have discovered a more light-hearted side to her – not that he had any objection to her bad-ass, stubborn attitude in the first place, just that risk of physical threat was greatly decreased now. Exchanging a look with Montague, the serpent smiling pleasantly along at the offering of a feast, the pair obediently trotted after Ari, Kaiden and Jude, the chain clinking loudly with their movements.

They arrived at the ‘food room’ in no time, the whole dysfunctional group gathered as Ari slung out products she’d previously scavenged from beneath the fresh rubble. The Zangoose caught a bag of some kind of human food, Montague peering over his shoulder down at the foreign substance. The brightly colored packaging was inviting enough and Capulet wasted no time in slicing the flimsy plastic open, digging in.
“How is it?” Montague asked his companion, his body still shaking slightly from the cold water. He made a mental note to try and catch a few hours in the quickly-fading sunlight, his wide eyes darting outside the building – the scenery decorated in the snorlax innards.
“Get your own,” Capulet grumbled in answer through mouthfuls, sitting himself down on the ground as the serpent emitted a defeated sigh. His tail snaked around a sitrus berry, pulling it close to his form as he tentatively began to consume the fruit. Despite his hunger, following such a violent bout of vomiting, Monty was naturally hesitant.

“I can’t stay, my – My sister, she needs me,”

The Seviper frowned, his head turning elegantly to watch Kaidan’s massive form retreating away from them. He’d only ever heard the canine speak one, maybe two words at a time, so the sudden flowing of his voice had caught the serpent off guard. His sister obviously meant a lot to him. Ushering a pained smile at the thought of the Arcanine’s love and dedication to his family, Montague watched, almost humbled by the canine’s reasons for leaving. Whilst he was going to miss the Arcanine that had already done so much for him, especially Cap, the Seviper wasn’t going to argue with his wishes. He nodded his head solemnly as Jude’s disbelieving outcry followed.

“The HALE? Who does he think he is? We all just saved each other’s asses and he LEAVES?"

Montague’s tail flicked irritably, tempted to defend the canine’s actions but reluctant to provoke the Leafeon further. Capulet however, seemed to side with the punky mutt for once.
“Eh, if he wants to go, let him,” The Zangoose muttered, swallowing a final mouthful of his food. Montague emitted a slight hiss, Capulet snorting in response to the Seviper’s opinions on the situation – Monty was always a soft-one, really needed to grow a pair of balls. His eyes flicked over to Jude and his newfound companion, the boa-sporting Zoroark who had turned out to be a lot quieter than he’d expected. “Who’s this?” Cap gestured with his head to Boris as he swiped another bag of food from the floor, quickly shoving the contents down his throat.

Looking back to the doorway, a surge of disappointment struck the serpent once more. Part of him wanted to snap at Cap, remind him that without Kaiden, he would be as good as dead – and Jude, those two had seemed to get on so well. He took another sulky bite out of his berry, his gaze reluctantly returning to the others. At least Eva understood. For one so young, she seemed to be the most rational of the bunch.

    Celadon Dept. Store| Late Afternoon

After weeks of starving, suriving on nothing but disgusting rocks and sand, Dilly had finally found herself in a place filled with delicious metals-- iron, steel, aluminum, even some of that rare titanium. A gold mine. What's more, was that it seemed deserted. Even with her doubts about her "girlish" figure, she felt no shame in devouring what she had found after living on nothing but trash for the past fortnight.

She sighed in content as she finished another support bar that had fallen from the decrepit cieling. Being buried beneath rubble for some time, she had only guessed that there was a commotion nearby. As she emerged from the safety of her underground nest, she fought the urge to immediately restract; the stench was awful for one, and there were sounds around her.... shuffling and... talking?

Her bright blue eyes searched her immediate surroundings for the owners. There were people here? When... She blushed; she must have missed them over the sound of her own munching. How awful. She soon hid again when they came close, digging about for the icky plastic bags. Blech. They could have those. Then there seemed to be a discussion, but she didn't pay attention; she could only see the giant support beam laying provocatively on its side, beckoning the little hungry aron closer. Her eyes sparked and her now mysteriously empty stomach rumbled with want.

    She had to have...

    Celadon Dept. Store| Late Afternoon

Everything was fine, at last. The big fat monster was dead, Ari wasn't a screaming banshee, and all was well. She was finally getting a decent meal in her, especially after all the ass-kicking she'd done that day. It was winding down, and even after finding quite a few trespassers in her turf, she was pretty all right. Content, even.

    Until Kaiden finally spoke.

"I'm sorry," he began, his gruff voice hesitating over the sheer amount of words he was about to say. “I can’t stay, my – My sister, she needs me.” And with that, without another look, he left.

    Just left.

The archeops was dumbfounded as the others bickered amongst themselves as an epiphany struck her. Her brother... Skoll...! How could she have simply forgotten about him...? She HAD been trying to find him but just got... sidetracked... She looked to the rest of the building and then to the gaping hole in which Kaiden had taken his leave. He obviously wasn't here... She needed to continue her search.

Her eyes fell as she finished her meal, then stood herself, slowly making her way to the exit as well. She stared hard at the darkening sky, resolve slowly settling in her mind. She was going.

She turned to the others and gave them a coy grin. "...Well, Kaiden reminded me I have a sibling of my own to find..." It was awkward, saying her farewell to people she'd only just met earlier that day, but already she felt as if she'd known them... forever. Except the zoroark. He was still new. But the others... "You, uh... You take care, ok? Try not to fuck up my territory...more than it already is. I am leaving it in your care, after all." She gave a small salute and went out into the dimming orange glow of sunset. "Take care," and with a slight nod, a softening smile of genuine feeling, she launched herself into the sky, soaring over the broken buildings.

    "...Goodbye."

    ((And she's off to Viridian : P))

    Celadon|Late Afternoon
    (1)

The warm sun on his back, the wind in his feathers, the clouds whipping by beneath, oh there was nothing like the feeling of flight! The only thing that could compare was the thrill of battle...or seeing a Paris runway show! Velshaine sighed a little, disheartened that there would be no more of those lovely gowns and parties, that the fashion world was dead with the humans who created it. He sank from his height above the clouds, their mists tickling him as he descended, and found out he was over a city. Looked like it used to be a pretty big deal too, if the large buildings where anything to go by. But so many of them were knocked down, pity.

Vel shrugged to himself and dove down, breaking his fall and flapping his wings back as disgusting smell assaulted his nose. What in the name of Gucci was that?! Ugh! It was so foul he was sure the smell would cling to his feathers for weeks. He struggled not to gag, but when he heard the shouts and sounds of battle, followed by a loud roar, his curiosity was piqued. Fighting the stench he came across a large, gelatinous Snorlax doing battle with several living Pokemon. They were attacking him from all angles, and then a gigantic dog literally made it explode, sending that foul smell everywhere. Do to his position from the window he was able to avoid the bits of dead critter that sprayed everywhere, though the creatures inside where not so lucky.

Vel kept spying on them for a while, trying to decide how best to make an entrance, when the large dog and another flying type took off out of a hole in the building and nearly ran into him. "Of all the...how rude!" Velshaine huffed indignantly, angry that they almost got his feathers dirty, when he realized that he hadn't thought it. "Oh damn! Was that out loud?" So much for a grand entrance. Oh well. Figuring the others inside had heard him already he put his head into the hole to peek around. "Hello? Anybody in there?" When he spotted the Zoroark, however, he squealed in delight and darted straight to the creature to play with his boa. "Oh my stars, it is soooo pretty! Wherever did you get this darling? I simply must know!" He looked up from the feathers in his talons to stare at the Zoroark with large, sparkling eyes.

((OOC: Introducing Velshaine! By the way, he has no sense of personal space, lol!))

Celadon City || Late Afternoon [16]

Capulet’s head snapped back to Jude the moment he heard a growl surface from the mutt, a frown hanging over his dark eyes. His fur bristled slightly, disgusted that this punk had the nerve to threaten him with such a sound. The Leafeon had been the one complaining about the Arcanine’s leaving in the first place; it wasn’t his damn fault that he was just stating the truth! His glare hard, the Zangoose bit his tongue, restraining himself from verbally abusing the canine at the warning nudge of Montague’s tail.

    "Ask him yourself,”

“Oh?” Montague answered first, skimming over the canine’s sulky tone at the revelation the pair were strangers to one another. “I-I’m sorry... We were under the impression you knew each other,” He ushered a weak smile at the Zoroark, lowering his head slightly in apology. But whilst the Seviper’s response had been perfectly civil, the Zangoose emitted a hiss, rising to his feet. His glower was unmoving from Jude.
“Who gives you the goddamn right to tal-“
“Stop it,” Montague butted in, his face set in stone as he glared his companion down. He could read that ferret like a book. The Leafeon had managed to hurt his precious ego, damage his misplaced air of superiority with a few words and a snappy tone. The pair exchanged a fierce look, practically daring one another to strike. Capulet was tempted; seething that the sulky dog had spoken to him like trash and Monty had gone and sided with him. Stupid snake – the whole damn species had no sense of right and wrong. He’d thought Montague was different, but no, a Seviper was a Seviper and that would never change.
“Make me,” The Zangoose challenged, baring his sharp set of fangs, his claws flexing in anticipation. In one swift movement, the sound of only the clinking chain and a suppressed grunt, the serpent’s heavy coils were near enough crushing the Zangoose. Capulet was left clawing defiantly at the muscle pinning him down. “Get off! You bas-“
“Shut up!” Montague snarled, clearly at the end of his tether, as he sat unmoving, blocking out the growing pain of the Zangoose’s struggles. He could keep him there for a good few minutes – hopefully, it would be enough time for Capulet to get his head on straight. Before he could continue however, Ari was saying her goodbyes.

Montague and Capulet’s faces fell in unison, watching helplessly as the prehistoric bird followed Kaiden’s example. She was leaving to find a sibling too. The Seviper managed a weak smile, nodding his head politely as she eventually turned tail, disappearing into the sky. He felt Capulet fall limp beneath his coils, apparently the loss of what could have been a close friend getting to him. It was a harsh reality that the remaining group simply had to accept. Survivors of this virus still had hope, dreams that they intended to fulfil – the unlikely duo were no different. They had a dream to break the chain, finally receive the freedom that they had so long desired.

Before they had any time to react, the sudden entrance of a rather colourful avian caught the pair’s attention. The bird confidently waltzed up to the Zoroark, gushing over the pink boa the canine adorned. Montague glanced down, an eyebrow raised quizzically as he met the Zangoose’s equally as confused expression. Well, at least they were happy – about the only pokémon in the room that were...

“Oh! My name is Boris, by the way everyone,”

Boris’ grin was contagious as Montague felt himself smiling along, nodding his head politely at having a name to accompany the eccentric appearance.
“Pleasure to meet you, Boris,” The serpent grinned, the combination of both the bird and Zoroark’s good moods affecting his own. He ignored the grumble from Capulet, still trapped beneath his coils as he halted his struggling - effectively put in his place. “And you sir?” The Seviper’s eyes fell onto the newcomer, a smile still gracing his scarred face. “What might we call you?”

It was terrifying to see all of these new pokemon surrounding Dill and simply being there; she nearly fainted from fear when two of them started fighting. She would never get that giant metal beam... However, their quarrel brought something to her attention, the chain that held them together. Her cerulean eyes sparkled for a moment; chains were always so much fun to eat, and were rather easy to carry. Though... that meant going near them, and she kind of liked the idea of them staying chained together.

Little Dill was about to burrow deeper into her little pile of rubble when a very bright, colorful and flamboyant bird nearly bursted in, admiring the black fox's boa. She gave a small sigh of woe and want; he must have been a contest bird. 'Look at that beautiful plumage, the delicate, confident way he holds himself...' she thought longfully. If only she were something that magnificent, that beautiful... But no. She was an aron... and no aron could ever be pretty.

The words that haunted her stung like a Beedrill, and her resolve came quickly. There was only one thing to do: get the hell out. Hopefully, with everyone seemingly preoccupied, she would be able to make a getaway. She nodded firmly to herself as she started to sleuth her way out and clung to the side wall, careful not to make noise. Her stealth was successful... for about four steps. She slipped, procuring a startled, high-pitched cry, tumbling down from the higher slopes of debris down to nearly the middle of the store, where the rest of the pokemon resided. She shook her heavy head to clear it, and looked up, suddenly wishing she hadn't.

"...Uh..." she mumbled, her eyes fearfully darting at them all. Her little form began to quiver, knowing fighting and fleeing were both completely useless. Without another option, she hunkered down, face to the ground and used Iron Defense, hoping that none of those teeth-filled jaws would be able to break it.
