--- -- -6- -- --- The scene went by quickly, the Electric Undead was ready to feast on her, yet in a matter of moments did the Pokemon of the group helped her. Maybe they weren't as bad as they sound afterall! The Espeon let out a heavy sigh as she got up, wearily looking at the direction of where she could hear the Bug Pokemon's taunts. A small smile crawled over to her face, funny Pokemon. Adalia should speak to her more often. Her attention turned over to Luzige, the Archneon -- obviously hungry -- who bounced over to her.
"You alright?" Luzige asked, she felt an intense gaze coming from him, was something on her face? Bad breath? Or...?
"Don't blind Pokemon have blindsight or something? Since you're psychic, you can probably sense the undead and aim an attack at it--better to help out~" Adalia stood speechless at the scene.
Blind? HER?... Just a few minutes ago did the other Psychic Pokemon throw the Raichu off the Espeon, the Bug Pokemon now chasing after the Mouse Pokemon. Yet, they point out that she's blind
now? If they knew, why couldn't they just stay oblivious?
~Luzige is right, about sensing. It is how we Abra can 'see' while we are asleep. If you'd like, I can teach you how to focus your power to do it as well.~Focus her power, focus her power. She has no power. She had been an Psychic-type for who knows how long and she has no power. Pathetic? It's true... The scene was fresh in her mind, the voices as if they were there with her... How her perfect family mentioned the color of her gem. Adalia knew nothing of colors, yet they say it's a brilliant crimson red. Is that good? Yet at times... They would say it's a dull grey. Is that good too? Who knows what's with her. Rarely had she lifted a paw to fight, therefore, she had no idea how to use her powers. THEREFORE, she has none. What stupid logic she has... Yet throughout this, her heart thumped against her chest, the Espeon glancing from Luzige's direction to the Abra's, worry and fear beginning to fill as every passed by. Powers. Blind. Even if she were to do that, she was fated to be blind. Fate chose that path for her, if she picked a different evolution to be, things would turn out different wouldn't they? So why mess with it now?
But even if they did offer to help... How would she know what to do? Are they going to call her a freak now? Blind Pokemon are uncommon, rare even, it's rude to call them freak. But what does everything of Adalia? In her past, she had always been called a freak because of those glassy eyes she had always held. How she could smile throughout every situation despite her not knowing the whole story. Are they still going to call her a freak? Even if they don't say it out loud, they must be thinking she's one right? In the midst of her thoughts, reality slowly faded back to her, snippets of conversations going through her ears and out. Another Pokemon came along, but Adalia paid no attention as her glassy eyes were fixed towards the ground, fear continuing to rise... The Esepon felt like she could pop any second!
"I-I..." The Sun Pokemon began to stutter, rising her head as she slowly backed away from the group. She didn't want to face them, if they were going to be like that, she didn't want to face them at all. No, no, no, no, no,
NO! Freak, she's a freak... Without hesitation, the Espeon turned around, running deep into the forest, anxiety chewing up her insides. She ran. She just ran out on them even though they were offering help. What's her problem? Being a dramaqueen... But, how is she to deal with this? Why bother to help a complete stranger? Is it because of the defect in her birth? Is it because she doesn't fit in? Do they
pity her?
The thought of sight, she had always yearned for it. Messing with the threads of fate... If she were to be a Flareon, she'd burn everything down without noticing. If she were to be a Jolteon, she'd shock everyone without noticing. If she were to be a Vaporeon, she'd be lost at sea without noticing. If she were to be an Umbreon, she'd be hiding in the shadows for the rest of her life without noticing... She had many choices to pick from, yet out of all things she picked a Psychic-type. She didn't pick it on purpose... There's no way that fate would want her to see, if they did, they would have given her sight the moment she was born.
Adalia came to her senses as she paused, heavy pants filling the air. She was away from the group now, far, very far. The Espeon looked over her shoulder, despite not seeing anything, she felt like she could be followed any second... Then again, who would follow
her? After all the bullshit she dragged them into, there's no way they would accept her back in the group. Even if she begged herself, what use could a weak and blind Espeon do? And even if she did try to learn how to see... What if things weren't meant to be seen by her? The scene earlier, the Ice-type that had gotten brutally murdered... The sounds and scent were enough, feeling the blood underneath her paws were like padding towards the gates of hell. She didn't want to see that, no! She shook her head, slumping down on a tree as she stared emptily at the space in front of her. Darkness. All she had seen was darkness throughout her life. If color were to be brought in, would she be a completed canvas?
