History | Saharah was born and raised in a forest far off the Johto map in a huge clan of eeveelutions. She was taught the values of life and to judge without reason. As a young eevee, Saharah was playing in the forest one day, chasing scattered leaves, when she heard a noise. Saharah glanced up and found herself face to face with a little girl. The girl seemed innocent enough, but the only people around there were known for their mistrust and cruelty of pokemon. Saharah was scared, but the girl soon won her trust; not attacking her and speaking in a calm voice with a soft smile. The eevee and her became friends in no time but they kept their friendship a strict secret. After a few years, the girl was old enough to set off on a pokemon journey and took her beloved eevee with her, not telling her own village that she had chosen a life with pokemon. Saharah was delighted. Life was perfect and she evolved for her trainer not a week after they set off, leaving their homes after sad farewells. Saharah's trainer soon added to the team a Raichu, a Fearow, a Gardivoir, and a Dragonair. She never captured any other pokemon for they were all that she desired. They were like a huge family, trusting each other with love and supporting one another. But one night Saharah's trainer wanted to go out on a quick walk, through the woods around Lake Rage. Saharah volenteered to go with her even though it was almost midnight. The two set off and strolled through the woods like they always did. But this time something was different, there was a creepy looking man with a Salamence at his side. The man challenged Saharah's trainer to a battle and, despite having just one pokemon, she accepted, but little did she know what it would cost them. Not a minute into the battle, the Salamence scored the side of Saharah's face and the Espeon screamed in terror and pain. She could no longer see out of her right eye, nor could she hear. Saharah lay in a pool of blood and agony as the dragon pokemon slashed at her over and over again, ranking her side with gashes. Saharah's trainer screamed and she knew she would have tried to help, but the Espeon heard the cruel man laugh. Then a gunshot. There was too much noise and blood around Saharah to have known exactly what happened, but when Saharah woke up several days later from her comalike state, there was blood everywhere but her trainer was gone. Saharah was devestated. She had lived her entire life with that human and now she was gone. Saharah's whole life had been torn apart. She wondered aimlessly for months, training and strengthening her body to learn to cope with its new weakness. Soon enough Saharah could fight and hunt for herself, but that was not punishment enough. She vowed then to not return to her fellow team mates until she found her beloved trainer. And as another act of her new life, changed her name, calling herself Hera from then on.But it wasn't a week later that something strange started to happen. Hera noticed that pokemon were becoming 'ill' with a disease that caused them to become purple and grey with startling red eyes. Hera fled. She ran away from where ever she could to escape it, but then she noticed that the humans were gone, too. Evacuated. Hera felt alone and lost in the world. All she wants is a soul to speak to. After so long in solitude, Hera finally found a group if pokemon that would accept her. The Espeon soon came to trust the group and befriended Alice the Luxio and Strix the Nidoking along with the others, Ciara the Mightyena and Dante the Houndoom. However, they were attacked while in their place of hiding, a cabin not far from Snowpoint City, and in the effort to flee became mortally wounded. Only Strix and Alice, whom had then evolved, kept her alive and stopped the bleeding. Sadly, however, there was little peace for the small group. Upon running into an old friend of hers, a Raichu named Yon-co, terror struck and several members of the group where struck down. They fought their hardest against a group of Sneasel gathered around a terrible Abomasnow and while they emerged victorious another threat rose. An undead Houndoom with a heart as black as night stole two lives, her friend's Ciara and Yon-co, before leaving the already broken group and even more battered mess. After causing the near fatal wounds to her beloved Strix, the Espeon martyred herself, interpreting Dante's warning as an order to leave the pack for good. Saying no goodbyes, she did just that, thinking it was only best she leave on her own and probably die there, than to be a liability again. Not even a few hours on her own, the pyschic type did run into an undead, a turned Weavile that wasted no time in piercing her heart. Thinking it for the best, Hera perished after her heart was punctured and throat slashed, left alone to bleed out and freeze in the snow. ...But this story in particular was not at an end, as the Espeon experienced warmth. She had no eyes to see with, no nose to smell with, and no ears to hear with, but the warmth extended, all the way to her whiskers, and her limbs began to feel again as suddenly her heart melded together, instantly pumping blood through her new body. Snapping up with a loud gasp, the Espeon was able to see light and fire, surrounding her! Feathers long as the sky gently touched her fur as they slowly drew back, leaving behind Hera, somehow alive and gasping for air in her new lungs. In disbelief, she could even feel strength in her chest; the old wound from days ago was healed, not even a scar behind. But as she ran her one eyed gaze over her fur, the dull colour remained, the scars from Salamence claws the same as ever. Hera felt herself go cold with horror. What kind of joke was this, somehow becoming of life only to look as beaten and scarred as before?! Looking up for the first time, her anger died in her throat, finding herself looking up at a god. The twin of her strength, Lugia, was standing, right there, in the snow with her. The great phoenix Ho-Oh had somehow blessed her with new life. Tears filled her eye even as the legend said nothing, there an almost gentle love in his eyes as he took slowly to the sky. The Espeon was in awe, watching as he left without any sort of clue as to his actions. But even as her last hours of life came to her, Hera's heart beat faster. She had...been so selfish. She had let them down, she had let Dante and Strix down. Somewhere in the midst of the snowy terrain North of the city Snowpoint, she had an epiphany. Hera knew what she had to do then. Her life was no longer her's; she had been somehow chosen by the legends themselves to make a difference in the world, to make up for her sins. She already knew that returning to her pack was out of the question, but that didn't mean she couldn't help the world. Turning her back on her old life and her old self, she took her first shaky step as the new her. Slowly opening her right eye, the Espeon's amber gaze was strong and fierce, full of the fire that had revived her as she began her new journey with the life she was gifted. |
Appearance | Stress and a weary soul have dulled this once vibrant Espeon's delicate pelt. Numerous scars litter her body and a bright red crack runs along the side of her jewel along the same side where very much of her ear was torn away. Her legs are long and thin, excellent for running and dancing though she has done little of the latter since being so brutally damaged. Being revived has not changed how she looked before the attack, but Hera finds herself almost thankful for this fact. Unlike before, now her eyes have a loving glow to them, finding the courage to open both her eyes to the world. Her smile is soft, but genuine, and the Espeon could not actually look happier. With purpose again, she has a skip in her step, and even enjoys waving her ear and tail in the air as she sprints across the land. |
Personality | A complete personality change after being gifted life again, Hera takes like in strides. Confident and strong, she no longer holds herself low and full of doubt. Still warm hearted and soft spoken, the Espeon has a caring and almost motherly aura to her. Not afraid to speak her mind and stand up for herself, she does not take greed and guile in response to her kindness lightly. Vowing to better the world and make up for the ill in her past, Hera is generous in everything she now does. She spends her energy keeping on the move, looking for groups of survivors in need. Carrying items almost randomly at times, she shares food and knowledge of water and other good news with anyone she meets. She doesn't discriminate, and tries to become as close and friendly as she can with all the new Pokemon she meets; she never forgets a name and promises to visit again. barring putting herself in mortal danger unnecessarily, the Espeon will do virtually anything in her power to aid others. Considering herself almost like a spark of hope to those who are lost and daunted, Hera makes it her goal to make every one she finds as comfortable and hopeful as she can with her words and actions. She never forgets the last family she has, and when possible she uses her own experience to educate other survivors. Taking Dante's leadership, Strix's strength, Alice's caring, Ciara's selflessness, Yon-co's humor, and Raiden's experience, Hera always feels her past family in her pawsteps. Every stride is one with her pack, and though she knows she can never return to them, she uses them as motivation and hope to move on and stay strong. |
