History | Glinyua didn't start out as a Pokemon Actress. As a young Spinarak, she and her siblings were tasked with moving curtains, doing the lights, and making sure all the costumes were in order. She had always loved the beautiful actors and actresses, like Maria the Ninetales and Azalea the Roserade. Every day after she had finished her job, she's watch them rehearse. Eventually she wasn't satisfied by just watching. She wanted to star in a play too. She didn't want to just sit there fixing the webs on the ceiling for the lights, not did she want to be weaving costumes. She wanted to act like all the other actors. But when she had brought up the idea with her friends, they laughed at her. She was a Spinarak. A Spider. There weren't many trainers who liked her and her species, even a famous gym leader, Misty, was known to be absolutely frightened of them. But she didn't give up. She knew she had to do something to catch their attention, and she did. She began to train herself to only walk on her hind legs- only using them to move around. Then she began to dance, dance, and dance some more. Every sleepless night she practiced her steps, in the hope that one day someone would notice her. And someone did. One of the actors, Lunette the Gardevoir, had found her. Amazed by the Spinarak's determination, she had taken her in as an apprentice. Of course, at first Glinyua wasn't taken very well by the public and Lunette began to lose respect- but eventually really began to shine. Underrated and disliked Pokemon around the world began to look up to Glinyua, and she had finally reached her dream. After about 5 months of acting Glinyua evolved. Due to the fact that she only walked on hind legs, her body had evolved in a way that she was then unable to use all fours to walk. But she hadn't mind, as it just made it easier for her to dance. One day, she had the most peculiar of people come up to her for an autograph as she took a trip to Cerulean city. It was Mist the Arbok, whom was easily recognizable due to her sharp personality before the Epidemic. Eventually they both grew to be friends, and as a gift, she had received a Peacha Scarf and a Deep Sea Scale from Mist. It was months after their meeting that she decided to go to Orre. She had gotten on a ferry headed towards Gateon Port, but things went terribly wrong as a multitude of passengers began to suddenly die, then rise up again with no pulse. Glinyua was glad, however, that the ferry reached Gateon Port the day right after the infection, but what she found was what she was trying to escape. The infection was even worse in Orre, there were Pokemon tearing down buildings- killing eachother. Afraid, she fled from the port, towards some other city or area where maybe she could find Salvation. |
Appearance | Glinyua color-wise is you average, run-of-the-mill Ariados, with the exception of his bright, blue eyes. Unlike most of her arachnid kind, she stands on her two back legs. Around her neck is a pink scarf with a Deep Sea Scale attached. Her body is now decorated with splatters of blood, and she carries around a dead Typhlosion she affectionately calls "Boo-Boo" around. |
Personality | Although Glinyua once used to be a kind, understanding being, the massive amounts of deaths and watching her former companions leave her has mutated her into an insane, friendship-seeking maniac. She can't stand being alone, and is constantly looking for other survivors to trap and keep as her 'friends'. She absolutely CAN'T stand others leaving her, or the idea of possibly leaving the Agate Village that she has situated herself in. The poison-type has become very volatile, being happy and calm in one instance but then screeching her head off while trying to decapitate someone the next. She has an unsettling joy in her voice and expression when she kills things, and likes to overuse her Psychic to manipulate her surroundings, even when it has an immense strain on her body. She will always give humiliating nicknames to people or things she likes. [i.e. "Cutie Patootie" for Zero the Zangoose and "Boo-Boo" for her dead Typhlosion 'pet'.] |

History | "Once upon a time, in the days of old, existed a kingdom near the sea, no lost to time" And so it did, a beautiful city, over set by a castle overlooking the ocean. It was calm, it was peaceful, and it was oppressed. "On the throne of the stronghold sat a young woman most Vain and Petty, her ego bloated on power" And so she was, the Queen of this fair land. A corrupt, vile woman she was, she wished nothing more than to keep her people in her shadow. "But this woman was afraid of time. She feared the reaper and the end of power he would bring" The queen, Alice was her name, made a resolution, and tasked the archivists and historians on a mission to find a being she had heard tales of in her youth. Tales of a creature who only awoke every thousand years. A creature who granted wishes. "Time passed, and the wishmaster was found hidden away, her location uncovered by the unending work of the Queen's vassals" And so the corrupt Queen, gathered her bravest knights, saddled her steed, and set out to the wishmaster. Finding her, she produced a small quill, and a vial of ink. "I, Alice of the Throne, wish to live forever" ...The wishmaster awoke and fulfilled the wish the very next year, in the depths of night. A just punishment for a vile woman such as Alice was swiftly given, and her human form was banished, leaving behind a small spirit, clutching a mask tightly to her. This creature, a Yamask colored to match the Queen's dress, was sealed away in the crypts under the castle, a symbolic Guardian for the Tomb of the now missing queen. This was 1500 years ago. Recently, a psychic pulse tore through the ruined city, and Alice awoke from her slumber to find herself once again under the sun. Half mad with time and rage at what had been taken from her, she set out for the nearest settlement, hoping to impose her rule. Hoping to find the wishmaster that cursed her. |
Appearance | Alice is a Yamask of average size, with a green mask and an Aqua body (skin, flesh? stupid ghost terms). She is often staring and weeping at her mask, which, like all Yamasks, bears a image of her face from when she was human. |
Personality | Alice is a prideful individual, proud of her former status as queen and making it well-known that she used to be royalty before she became a Pokemon. She dislikes others ordering her around or going against her own demands, and always expects to get what she wants. She has a superiority complex, and often refers to others as 'peasants', 'commoners', or 'knights' to those who have some kind of use to her. Very vain and petty. Is also hateful towards most living creatures, specifically those than can change shape |
