”Sounds mgreat babe, just stick with me and I can show you the sights.”Good, at least Garland would have the love struck fish for company. Smiling shyly, adding to the whole innocent swan charade with a girlish giggle, he nodded his head in thanks. Having anticipated Bass to follow his every command, the avian was more curious to the response of his company, which to his delight, was mainly positive. Well, all but Nerissa.
Having caught her soft, confused question early, Garland merely winked at her in response. No doubt Jaws would fill her in on their ongoing game. Although every now and then, a flicker of guilt would arise in the Swanna’s mind. Was it right to play with the poor guy’s feelings? Then he remembered the look on the sap’s face and silenced such pathetic reason. This was hilarious.
“Go back? Out there? With...with them? Do we have to go?”The Swanna tilted his head to the side, gliding across in the water as he managed a warm, if a slightly patronizing, smile at the concerned Dewgong. Whilst he wanted nothing more than to tell the coward to lighten up and live a little, the bird didn’t fancy aggravating her loyal admirer. He liked Jaws. It would be a shame to mar their friendship over a little, harmless name-calling. Besides, Nerissa didn’t seem a total wet-towel. She’d killed the undead after all, there was no doubt at least
some fight left in her pretty form.
“Would you rather wait until they came here?” He asked bluntly, still grinning away as he caught Maelstrom’s gargantuan form passing beneath the water and towards the exit.
“No point in hiding forever, doll. I promise you won’t get hurt – specially with your prince charming, there,” Garland couldn’t’ resist pointing out their bond, gesturing to the reptile with his head before turning to exit the cave. Persuasion had never been a strong point, but he was hopeful that his words had done the trick. It’d be a shame to see them go.
"Wow the smell of the late afternoon air is almost enough to make you believe that other Pokemon aren't trying to eat us,"
On arrival in the afternoon air free from the confines of the cavern, Garland’s attention immediately fell to the Gyarados, swimming about in high spirits. He cracked a grin at his comment, basking in the sun’s warm rays as he spoke.
“Sure,” In all honesty, Garland couldn’t smell anything particularly spectacular about the afternoon, but it wasn’t half a bad day. Shame night would be upon them in only a few hours. It proved no problem, however, the Swanna in fact more comfortable within the shadows.
“Now, where to start?”
