Near Goldenrod Port | night (1)

The city was on fire. The city that she last saw her trainer alive was on fire. Buildings were crumbling in the distance, and Dahlia could hear screams and howls from deep within it.

She shivered in sadness as she watched the blaze tear through the tiny homes. Despite her small shelter in an outcropping of rocks, she still felt vulnerable. She was bleeding profusely from bulletholes in her fins, and had left a blood trail in the water, as she tried to make her way here.
The wounds that hadn't touched the water were clotted with dry blood...and had clumped enough to stop the bleeding. But the blood that was in the water had attracted many of the undead water pokemon to her...but managed to escape them by diving into dark parts of the shallows, where they couldn't follow.

She began to weep weakly as she thought back to what happened in the last 24 hours...the whizzing bullets, the terrifying screams of all the pokemon around her, blood staining the ground...waking up to piles of shredded corpses around her...looking with dread for the body of Maynard among all the corpses, but finding nothing...

    Maynard...
Dahlia squeezed her eyes shut as she thought of her trainer.
Maybe...maybe he came back here...maybe he is looking for me...
She lifted her head back up to gaze at the falling city.
He wouldn't go in there...he would look for me on the shores...
Her thoughts were pierced with the resurfacing pain of her wounds. She let out a short cry as the salt of the ocean stung her wounds.
She slowly dragged her heavy body onto a small shoal nearby. The tall jagged rocks nearby would help disguise her, as her shell helped her blend in with her surroundings.
The beautiful cyan pendant hanging around her neck glowed cheerfully, oblivious to the pain and suffering of its' owner.
    Maybe...tomorrow...will be better...
Exhausted both emotionally and physically, she lowered her head, covering her mystic water with the bulk of her neck, and quickly fell into the abyss of slumber.

Near Goldenrod Port | Nearing Dawn

In the deeper waters near the Goldenrod City Port, a white, dancer-like shape streaked beneath the waves. Long, white elegant fins and a tail pumped steadily, and quickly propelled the dewgong through the water.

Una blinked as she surveyed the waters around her for infected. She felt herself slowing down with fatigue; she remained constantly on the move to escape from infected creatures since the horrible disaster a day ago, and had had little time for sleep. She had survived thus far by limiting her sleeping hours to 2 hr periods using Rest to build up her strength, as opposed to the 10 hrs she preferred. Judging by the leaden weight of her limbs, Una judged that it was once again time to find a place to Rest.

Una let the waved roll and carry her towards the shore, where they crashed against a rocky curve of land. She searched the rocks with a moment, before choosing a shallow looking pool sheltered by a house-sized boulder. She carefully slipped in, mindful not to be dashed on the rocks, inhaled, exhaled, and sank gratefully to the bottom of the pool. She looked around once more for the sinister and clumsy movement of the infected, and, spotting none, closed her eyes and let her Rest roll over her.

    [OOC: Is Dahlia infected?]

Dahlia groggily opened her eyes, lifting her head to greet the beautiful dawn- a myriad of pinks and oranges, reflecting off the waters of the broad ocean.
She sighed. Light on the surface of the water always thrilled the transport pokemon, but not today. She had woken up, half thinking that all of those terrible things that happened were just a nightmare, and Maynard was resting peacefully on her back...just like before.
But when she looked back, she saw nothing but neat circular holes in her shell. Bullets had wedged themselves into it, reminding her that it was all real.

The stench of smoke reached her nostrils. She shoved herself further along the shoal with her fins, trying to get a better view of the city.
There was still great pillars of smoke rising from it, and the terrible smell of burning flesh.
As she gazed at the shoreline, she was filled with dread and utter shock. It was littered with the corpses of dead humans and pokemon-getting picked over and eaten by the scavenger birds that frequented the shores.

    Maynard?...
Oh dear Kyogre, let him not be there...
She couldn't bear the thought of his body being somewhere on that beach, but she knew she had to look...it was the only place she thought he might be, looking for her.
She pushed herself into the water, slowly making her way to the littered shore.

(OoC- Yes, she's infected, but she's not undead. She doesn't know yet either; she hasn't shown any signs)

Una rolled over underwater and blinked awake. She swished her flowing fins, and listened carefully to the water. The waves swishing against the rocks made a low rumble that was as comforting to Una as it was nostalgic, because it reminded her of the pleasant life that was lost to her forever.

Una floated up to the surface and poked her nose above the water. The air stank like ashes, and there were flocks of undead things on the winds...Una sank back down. The water, too, was beginning to taste different . . . Una tried not to think about it.

Since the waters were fairly calm and the waves weren't very forceful, Una swam among the rocks, remaining underwater for as long as she could between breaths. She scouted around shore for fish, or anything; she was extremely short on her 15+ pounds of food per day quota.

As she neared the actual beachline, Una felt/heard the swishing of another pokemon, a decidedly large pokemon, swimming through the water. She carefully sank down to the bottom of the water and looked toward the vibrations. They came from a lapras further down the coast, searching at the shore. Una wondered whether it was searching for its trainer, or searching for food....

[OoC: I'm using information on real-life sea lions to detail Una's survival needs. Thanks, Seaworld.org....]

Dahlia stayed in the water, afraid of getting beached if she got too close to the shore. Maynard had taught her to move on land, but she still wasn't very comfortable there.
She slowly floated back and forth, staring intently at each human corpse, looking for the face of her owner.
A few feet away, she saw a man floating face-down in the waters, bloated and blue. His clothing was familiar.
She gasped and cried out as she swam quickly to it, and turned it over with her nose.
"Maynard?!" She looked at the bloated corpse and gasped.
His face had a terrible expression of terror and pain locked into his water-bloated features since death, and his neck appeared like it had been torn open from the inside...but it was not Maynard.
She sighed heavily and gently pushed the corpse away.
She gazed at the feeding birds about her- mostly Wingull and Pelipper.
They had ignored her completely, having plenty of food to keep themselves occupied. She noticed that some of them looked ragged; like they had been fighting alot.

"...What happened here...?" She thought aloud, her thoughts returning to the bloody graveyard she had woken up in.
"Did the people do this?..." Suddenly, a pang of hunger struck her stomach.
She realized that she hadn't eaten in days; and she had lost alot of blood, making her much weaker than she was comfortable with. Dahlia had grown used to human food, along with the delicious pokemon food Maynard used to buy her.
I don't think I can catch any food in my state...
maybe here on shore...maybe there's some food from the humans...

Partially relieved that she hadn't found Maynard on the littered shore, she resolved to hold off her search for her beloved trainer until she got something in her belly.

Post by Aerodactyl Fri Sep 23, 2011 1:56 am

Floating on the warm air currents that came from sea below, the Aerodactyl searched for new prey. It's ancient mind recalled vague memories of creatures that dwelled in the waters; creatures that he could easily pick off the surface.

He felt pain ripping through his neck and up to his head, but the bloodlust was much stronger than any physical pain. He knew that the damage he had taken would never be able to heal, yet he was still alive.

He spotted a sleek white shape under the water, darting about near the surface. Croaking triumphantly, he opened his claws and dive bombed towards the helpless creature below him.

As the white creature popped its head out of the water for air, one of the harbingers' claws sunk into the exposed eye socket of the Dewgong, while the other clamped around its' tender neck. A terrible screech escaped its throat; he relished the sound as his ferocious appetite tore through his primitive mind, driving him forward.

He could feel the blood spurting out of its neck in pulses, as its heart pumped more of its life onto his claws. Its snow-white coat quickly turned into a crimson slick. Higher and higher he carried the crying creature, up to a cliff face across the sea. As his giant wings pushed them higher up into the air, his prey twitched weakly. The Dewgong desperately cried for death...but its words fell on deaf ears, for he knew no words. He had no thoughts. He just had the hunger.

Finding a jagged cliff, he set his meal down and began to slowly tear into its tender flesh with his serrated teeth, as its cries slowly faded with each bite.

Dahlia cried out as she heard the terrible sound of something screaming from behind her. She spun around just in time to see a horrifying sight play out before her.
An ancient pokemon that she knew to be an Aerodactyl had caught a Dewgong in its' enormous claws...impaling the eye sockets of the poor creature.
Dahlia watched helplessly as it was slowly carried off, howling in pain and gushing enormous amounts of blood.
Why-why was it so...how could that Aerodactyl be alive still?!
The true horror of the situation had just hit her- the flying fossil couldn't possibly be alive.
The wounds it had were beyond any pokemons' threshold of survival...even an ancient one.
It's horned head was split open and its belly was torn apart- no creature could live through that! Dahlia frantically cried as she tried to make sense of what just happened.
Snapping out of her trance, she looked about dazedly.
    Where's all the birds?...
She realized with a start that all the feeding birds had all disappeared suddenly, with the arrival of that...thing.

...Maybe they knew before both of us did...maybe they knew it was approaching...

The horizon started to light up, as Lil Blue lay on the soft sand. She had just recently come to Johto. She like it here. Well, besides the infected running around. She could always tell when an infected was coming. The "song" wound call to her. Telling, asking, begging her to kill them and release them from they're own hell. Lil Blue could never bring herself to do what she was asked to.

Lil Blue yawned as she jumped back into the water.I wounder when this will end. All this fighting and killing. Lil Blue hated to fight. She kept swimming. Her incense swaying back and forth. Then she heard it. This....This is a song! She said to herself. She looked around. She new that each "song" was different for each Pokemon and Human. This "song" was sobbing. She look up.

And there was the owner of the "song" she just heard. A Lapras? Lil Blue was curious why this Pokemon's "song" was sobbing the way it was. She got closer. Just barely poking her head out of the water she said, Um...Hello there. My...My name is Lil Blue. Wha...What is yours?

Water churned around Sobek as he used his powerful tail to propel him through the ocean, several feet below the surface. Tiny weaker infected scattered as he blurred past in a rush of bubbles, instinct telling them that they would die if they ventured to close. This suited the Feraligatr fine, he couldn't eat infected, they weren't big enough to make an interesting fight, so they were useless to him. Pausing for a moment, he clung to a shelf of coral, keeping perfectly still, feeling for the tell-tale vibrations of something bigger in the water.
"There!" Not to far ahead, something living was floating just below the surface of the water next to something huge, bigger than him. "Must be driftwood or something."

Humming his favourite tune, the big, blue croc shot off the coral, racing towards the pokemon at an incredible speed. It was directly above him now, some kind of tadpole floating next to something huge, blue and bleeding. Halting his aquatic charge, and sniffed the water before, releasing a disgusting growl. The big thing was infected. This struck the Big Jaw pokemon as odd, seeing as it wasn't attacking the little tadpole who's heartbeat reverberated through the water to Sobek. Now that he was looking, the big thing's heart was beating as well, if a little erratically.
"Infected but not dead yet.... interesting." Mused the reptile aloud. "Doesn't look like a natural predator either, hm..."
With a growl, Sobek glared at the floating blue lump of wasted meat. It probably won't even know it was infected until it's to late and it tried to kill the little one. This could be a golden opportunity to see how pokemon acted before the infection killed them, to help prevent him from eating them in the future.
"OK, I'll go and play nice for now,"He thought. But the second that thing turned, that tadpole was lunch and he was out of there.

So giving the infected blood that darkened the water a wide birth, Sobek rose through the water until his head broke the surface of the water about a meter from the pair, humming all the way.

"Hello, little one," he said with a charming smile. "What might your name be?"

((Ooc: Sobek's idea of a 'charming smile' really just comes off as creepy and ominous due to his massive teeth. and the tune he constantly hums doesn't help.))

"Um...Hello there. My...My name is Lil Blue. Wha...What is yours?"

Jolted out of her thoughts, she looked down to where the tiny voice was coming from. A tiny round face was looking up at her endearingly. Dahlias' heart jumped a little bit as she contemplated on the question. She was never any good at talking to others, and always felt an apprehension in answering anything.

"I-...."she struggled to force the words out, her frustration building.
    "I'-mmm..."
"...I'm...D...ahlia..." she looked down anxiously at the little creature calling herself Lil Blue, afraid that she would start making fun of her.
Before she could answer, a large reptilian head rose out of the water a small distance away from them, humming a peculiar song.
"Hello, little one. What might your name be?" The newcomer said, gazing hungrily at the small one, showing a set of very large and crooked teeth populating its' powerful looking jaws. It's jagged red fin looked like a large sail on a boat, and its brilliant green eyes were bright with...something that Dahlia didn't quite like.

She narrowed her eyes, and swam a little closer to Lil Blue. She didn't like this new situation she was in. There was too many things talking to her and aiming their attention her way. She felt threatened and vulnerable from her wounds, but she didn't like bullies, and this toothy creature looked like a bully.

    "G-...."
    "G-ge-t..."
"Back!" Dahlia hissed threateningly, breathing heavily with frustration. She bared her sharp teeth and lowered her head in a threatening display, protecting her exposed neck. She knew that she wouldn't have much of a chance if it decided it wanted to fight, but her large size usually succeeded in intimidating others and preventing alot of conflicts.
I hope the same works here...she thought as she stared uneasily at the serrated teeth gleaming in the faint sunlight.

"...I'm...D...ahlia..." The Lapras seem not like to talk much. Lil Blue jolted when she heard another "song" come up behind her. "Hello, little one, What might your name be?" Lil Blue turned to see a larger mouth full of razor sharp teeth. The "song" that came off this Pokemon seem to be more scary, then infected.

M....My name is L....Lil Blue. Lil Blue saw Dahlia react to the pokemon. "G-....G-ge-t...Back!" Dahlia seem to dance on the water as she moved to protect her neck. Lil Blue swam behind Dahlia. She did not like this new Pokemon. Wha....What do you wa....want! Lil Blue asked the big blue pokemon.

M....My name is L....Lil Blue. stuttered the tadpole nervously. Apparently Sobek's "charming smile" was a bit off-putting, he'd have to work on that. Opening his mouth to introduce himself, the Big Jaw Pokemon was abruptly cut-off when the big thing surged forward baring small but incredibly sharp-looking teeth, lowering it's head threateningly whilst simultaneously guarding it's soft neck.
"G-ge-t...Back!" It snarled angrily. Surpressing the urge to show this lump of rotting blubber what real teeth could do, Sobek raised both his hands in the air in the universal sign that he meant no harm.
"Well, no specific harm.." he thought with a mental chuckle.

"Woah, calm down mate!" he rasped to the still snarling water-type. "I'm not looking for trouble. Just saw some uninfected and thought I'd say hi. I'm Sobek. What's your name, I didn't catch it, what with you threatening me and all."

"Wha....What do you wa....want?" asked Lil Blue with a glare.
"Great, she's scared the little one."
"Hey Lil Blue, I just thought it'd be safer for us uninfected to stick together, you know, safety in numbers and all that." He resisted the urge to glare the at big one when he spoke, but he did put a little twist on uninfected.

Noticing the litte tadpole had swam dangerously close to the infected blood that clouded water, the crocodile, dropped below the water and resurfaced beside her, gentle pushing her away from the spreading murk.
"Careful kid, not very hygienic to swin in blood."
He almost chuckled at the sheer irony of the statement.
"So now that we've all stopped with the 'let's kill the poor feraligatr', Said Sobek with a dramatic florish of his hands. "We're you both from?"

North of Goldenrod Port | Dawn (1)

A little ways off River sat on a rock in the water, her ears straining for sounds of beasts who would wish harm on her. As if from far away, talking met her ears and without waiting to hear more she disappeared into the water, letting her body become one with the water molecules and blending in completely. Even if you were to look closely you would see nothing but gentle water lapping against waves and ripples. Like a majestic creature she glided through the water without even tampering with its normal drift. River was truly a water type in every sense of the words. Her eyepatch, made specifically for her by the scientist in the town she grew up in, did nothing to give away her position.

Following the sound that she heard from beneath the waves, River came upon three Pokemon. One was huge and floated like a mountain adrift on the water. River had seen this kind before and was sure it was a Lapras. The other big Pokemon looked threatening and hungry, River knew she already didn't trust this brute of a Pokemon because she knew it was a Feraligtr which was a mean species of Pokemon. The last one, who was hiding behind the large Pokemon and River didn't recognize, was small and scared. River felt sympathy for the little one and stayed in the water close to it, listening to the conversation. She hadn't quite yet decided if she wanted to surface for them or not but that was natural for her, Vaporeon's were very shy and secluded Pokemon. River believed that is why they were given the gift of becoming one with the water.

Anger spread like a bitter poison throughout the water and River realized that the larger Pokemon and the smaller one were both distrusting of the Feraligtr with its jagged teeth. River watched as the crocodile Pokemon swam under the water and came up close to the little one. Thinking this as a threatening gesture, she swam over and came up in the middle of them, the small Pokemon behind her.

A glare came from her only eye as she stared into the gaze of the Feraligtr. She was not scared but angry.
"Leave the little one alone you great beast." River stood her ground and lashed her tail behind her in the water.

"I'm not looking for trouble. Just saw some uninfected and thought I'd say hi. I'm Sobek. What's your name, I didn't catch it, what with you threatening me and all."
Dahlia ceased her snarling as the creature explained itself.
Before she had time to decide anything, the little one spoke up.
The reptile insisted on safety in numbers as he swam up underneath Lil Blue, muttering something about blood.
Dahlias' senses went on full alert as the creature swam underneath her. She retreated a small way to keep her underbelly protected and to gain some distance between them.
Suddenly, a large finned canine popped its head out of the water, coming between the young pokemon and the Feraligatr.
Dahlias' heart pumped faster at the sudden appearance of another, and without any hint of it even being near.
How did I not sense another nearby?
    What do they all want?

She was getting overwhelmed by frustration and fear.
She didn't know how to deal with the others, or what to do.
A small but fierce snowstorm began to brew as her emotions grew out of her control. An Icy Wind attack was imminent, and she knew she wouldn't be able to direct it at any one particular target. From past experiences with that attack, she had grown afraid of using it. It often left the other pokemon hurt really badly or left completely unconscious.
I don't want to hurt anyone! she screamed in her head.
"S-Stop!" She yelled over the howling winds, trying to calm herself.
    "Just stay back!"

Why would I do that? Lil Blue did not like the idea of killing others, unless she had to. She heard something But it was faint. A "song"? She thought as something poked it's head out of the water between her and Sobek.

"Leave the little one alone you great beast." A Vaporeon with a eye patch said. Lil Blue looked at the pokemon. The "song" that came off this pokemon was just like Dahlia's "song". "Kill you? Why would I do that?" Asked Lil Blue with a confused look on it's face. Bloody hell this kid was innocent.
"Don't worry kid," Responded Sobek with a wink. "I was more concerned with chunky over there."
"Leave the little one alone you great beast." the Feraligatr almost jumped as a vaporeon with a missing eye surfaced right in front of him, blocking him from the tadpole.
"Great, a water-mutt with a hero-complex." Thought the crocodile sourly. Floating on his stomach lazily, he favoured the fox with a condescending look.
"Look mate, I already said I'm not going to hurt-" Sobek was cut off mid-sentence as the bleeder suddenly cried out.
"S-Stop, Just stay back!" She almost screamed as swirling white winds raged around her, the temperature dropping several degree's. Recognizing a powerful ice attack, The Big Jaw Pokemon surged back a few feet, pulling the fox and the tadpole gently but firmly with him.
"Back up lads, give her some room!" He exclaimed, seeing the water around the huge pokemon crystallize slightly with ice.

((Ooc: everyone's out to get the poor widdle cwocy :P))

River glared at the ferocious looking Pokemon but her eyes widened at the Lapras' reaction to her appearance. "Please do not be alarmed I am only here to help." Lil Blue's question caught her a bit off guard. "Of course everything is fine young one. My only sadness is because of this epidemic." she smiled softly and was immediately pulled away from the Lapras by the crocodile Pokemon.

River went limp in his arm and began changing her molecules to that of the water. She got a few inches away and resurfaced a bit beside him. "Thank you but I can take care of myself." River snapped this to him but it was almost gentle. The poor Pokemon didn't seem to know how to take someone trying to save her.

"Back up lads, give her some room!" The reptile cried out, pulling the others back from the chilling winds.

Dahlia gasped wildly as she tried to slow her racing heart
    It's ok! It's ok!
    You can handle this!

She thought frantically, but to no avail. The howling winds got fiercer and colder, freezing the nearby waters in their place.
Maynard! Maynard, help! The terrified Lapras thought, summoning images of her trainer.
His comforting face came up in her mind, and memories of his calm countenance. The wind began to calm itself, and her chest began to feel less constricted with terror.

She breathed heavily as the storm dissipated, and helplessly looked at the others, who were all staring at her.
"I'm sorry..." She felt a bit guilty from attacking the others and putting them in danger.
She gazed at the Feraligatr in sadness.
I can't be a hypocrite...if..he...hadn't pulled them out of the way, they might have gotten hurt...maybe...he isn't here to hurt us...
She looked down at the icy water in embarrassment and cracked it with her fins.
How can I face them though...? She thought angrily.
    Maybe...thinking of Maynard...can help again...

Taking a deep breath, she calmed her mind, remembering his face.
Looking up at the others, she nodded and said, "My name's Dahlia."

River studied the two larger Pokemon. Her aqua gaze watched them and she yawned softly, always keep one eye on the Lapras. Something was off with her and she didn't know what. The water near her was cracking and shifting from the ice layered over it and she snapped her tail down on it with a CRACK that resounded through the port. For so long River had been traveling on her own trying to find the place that she felt she fit in. Unfortunately here was not the place for her.

"I am terribly sorry for intruding but I best be on my way. For a while I have been searching for somewhere I could call home and unfortunately this is not that place. I apologize." She nodded to the Pokemon before her and looked towards Dahlia who had just introduced herself. "I am River and it was nice to meet you Dahlia. Be brave sister of the water, hard times are approaching for us both." River seemed to sigh after this statement as her body began to change into water. With a splash, her tail flitted under the water before she was completely lost from sight. She would always remember those three and the words she spoke.

(OOC: It's been nice while it lasted guys.)

Alexandra sighed its been so long since she lost her parents but yet she still wanted to find them and figure out what type of pokemon she was, when suddenly she heard voices and slowly walked to where she could hear them louder then saw someone who looked just like her. But also notice the vaporeon stepping close to the water not wanting to lose the only person that could possibly help her. Alexandra ran to her yelling.

"Miss! Wait please I have so many questions to ask yo-" Alexandra stopped mid-sentence seeing the vaporeon "melt" into the water. Gasping in shock Alexandra finally saw the other people around her and slowly stepped back before dashing into a bush, watching them scared, not knowing if they are friend or foe.

Sobek blinked as the Vaporeon melted into the water only to resurface got a few inches away.
"Thank you but I can take care of myself," She said. Looking back at the big one,the Big Jaw pokemon saw her begin to come into herself, giving her head a small shake and breaking the ice around her with her huge flippers. Looking up at them, she nodded, "My name's Dahlia."

"Nice to meet you Dahlia," replied The crocodile pleasantly. "As I said before, I'm Sobek. Sobek the Terrible, if you're feeling formal."
he added the last bit with a wink and a smile.
"I am terribly sorry for intruding but I best be on my way. For a while I have been searching for somewhere I could call home and unfortunately this is not that place. I apologize." The Vaporeon suddenly declared turning to Dahlia. "I am River and it was nice to meet you Dahlia. Be brave sister of the water, hard times are approaching for us both." Then with that she melted into the water and was gone.
Just as the last traces of the fox faded away, a voice sounded from the nearby shore, causing three heads to whip around towards the source, another female vaporeon.
"Bloody hell, where are all these things coming from." thought Sobek with a mental grimace. "Hope this one isn't as touchy as River. Oh well better go be nice."
Dropping below the surface, the big reptile used Aqua Jet to propel him quickly across the distance to the water fox. Resurfacing, he gave the newcomer a friendly smile, being careful not to show any teeth.
"Hey there miss, my names Sobek what's yours?"

"Hey there miss, my names Sobek what's yours?"
Alexandra tilt her head slightly and stepped out crawling on her stomach," M-My name i-is Al-e-...Alexandra..." She replied looking at the big reptile and pushed herself lower, as if trying to be come the ground so they couldn't see her. Looking back into the water she saw the other pokemon looking at her and blushed dark whimpering moving back to the bush.

"I j-just had some q-questions to as-ask..." She whimpered and looked at him frowning. She didn't know any one here and they all seemed a lot bigger and stronger then her. What if she stepped out of line? She thought her eyed becoming wide as she looked at them frightened then looked back at Sobek,"I am sorry if I am bothering you all..." Finally able to stop stuttering. "If you wish I shall leave you all" Even as she said this her voice sounded scared, yet broken.

Dahlia sighed as the Vaporeon with one eye disappeared into the waters.
    ...What did she mean...
As she pondered on the creatures' foreboding words, the large reptile known as Sobek, went up to the new one and introduced himself. Dahlia felt a pang of jealousy as he so casually swam right up to her and spoke with perfect precision.
How does he bloody do that?...
The other blue canine, however, didn't seem to respond too well. She seemed meek and pained...and she doubted that Sobeks' intimidating looks were helping the situation.
The poor things' probably been through alot...

Dahlia felt strangely drawn to this new one; she wasn't loud or as frightening as the others were.
This of course was a new feeling for her- she often hated any other company. The only exception up to this point was Maynard...and she couldn't find her beloved trainer.
Intrigued by this, she slowly swam forward, trying not to frighten the poor creature any further.
She threw a glance at the tank with teeth and then gazed at the Vaporeon, who seemed to be shrinking back in fear.
"We...w-we won't hurt you." Dahlia said, with an effort.
"D-Dahlia..."the Lapras stuttered, her sentence trailing off as she averted her gaze down to the waters.
    "M-My name..."she muttered, slightly embarrassed.

Lil Blue was watching this whole thing happen. The "song" That came of the new pokemon was happy, so she new it was not infected. She swam closer, now used to the new pokemon coming and going. Hello. My name is Lil Blue. Nice to meet you. Lil Blue said as her tail moved back and forth in the water.

(Short post is short, sorry. Writers block. I give permission to Eevee, to kill off Lil Blue.)
