The SAFFRON Team

Leah took a deep breath in and pulled the shard in her leg. It was covered in blood. She just needed to stay calm and not panic. Then she heard another voice that wasn't the Nidorino.

"Perhaps you're happy without me, So many seeds have been sown in the field And who could sprout up so blessedly If I had died." Then she saw a small explosion on the ground.

There was ice coming towards her and Yue.

She had every right to panic. There was more infected and she still wasn't sure if the Nidorino was dead. Leah saw the source of the attack; a Galvantula with half of its face gone. "Yue... we have a problem." She had one arm pointing to the creeping ice and another pointing at the spider.

"Deary me deary me, wherever shall I go to sleep tonight? All these nasty, icky-sticky monsters make it ever so hard to find good beds!"

She giggled at her little monologue.
"Silly Helena.... I can't sleep now! The meany bad monsters will gobble me up! Nommy nom nom!"

She giggled louder at that, surveying the dark street around her. Helena skipped down the road, hearing voics as she went further. Her first thought was to run and play, but then she remembered the "meany bad monsters."

"What a shame.... I'm sure they'd love to play with me! Hello!! Anybody there?"

Helena sat down in the road, but leapt up as she heard grolwing. Any normal person would be scared, but her brain just wasn't capable of fear, anger, or any emotion that wasn't happiness. She giggled.

"I'd better go before they gobble me up! Oh I love a game of chase! Hee hee hee!"
Her hat jostled on her head as she sprinted down the road, passing some pokemon she couldn't identify. One appeared to be flowery.

How I love flowers... She thought happily. Quickly turning, she darted into the dark, hidden Pokemon Center, where she hoped the monsters couldn't find her.

(I have to skip again. I'm sorry, really sorry, but I have been busy. ;A; I PROMISE I'll post next round, I've just been dealing with a handful in life lately.)

Angel...leaps.
As she lands on the cold ice it feels odd against her claws and her belly but the sensation is passing, easy to ignore.
She scrabbles over her approaching attack to skid rather uncontrollably and land behind the grass types, cutting off their exit.
"You lie silent here before me."
She slices the air with one of her pointed forelegs to discourage movement.
"Your tears...mean nothing to me now"
Then with the ice wall bearing down she starts that ear-splitting shrieking again.
It's a vicious co-ordinated attack.
The grass types seem to be cowering and she feels somewhat guilty for making them afraid.
But it was alright, it would all be alright in the end as soon as they were with Mother...

Saffron City | Night (20)

She stood near the building, watching the fight go on. The giant spider seemed to use some sort of ice attack., creating a kind of wall made entirely of ice. Maybe the infected could have been somewhat smart. Only the thought of it scared her even more. It seemed to make some noise that hurt her ears, like a screech. Then the wall started to break down. That was too much for her to watch. She left the site. She started to walk away cautiously.
After all, she still needed to find somewhere to stay. A place where they would be safe. She wandered about on the streets, looking for a place that wasn't yet broken.
Maybe the town's pokemon center would still be standing.

“A spider trying to steal what is mine, and the flower ignores me…..I wonder if it will continue to ignore me if it had no petals. Blasted things would not taste good, need to get rid of them. But first, the spider….” He was so close to alleviating his thirst, it would not do to have it ripped away from him.

Don’t go anywhere pretty, pretty, flower. It would run away from him, that was for sure, just like all the other pokemon did in the little arena that the scientist set up for the exercise portions.

“You don’t have blood in you still do you….No, that mug doesn’t hold blood. Pity, I’m practically dying of thirst now.” Another undead, he still didn’t know what the social standings between two undead were, but this was about food right now, no time for niceties between two similar beings.

It was making a wall of ice, but a few sludge bombs thrown at it would take care of that.

The Nidorino was back. The Galvantula was now behind them, blocking their path. Great. Just great. Leah saw an opening in the blockade, and she took advantage of it. She whispered to Yue.

"Yue, follow me. If you're quick enough, we'll survive." Leah made a mad dash past the Galvantula and was now running towards the Nidorino. She fired a Shadow Ball in its direction. By the time she got past it, the Shadow Ball was gone. She wasn't sure if she hit it or not. "Yue, are you coming or what?"

Leah didn't wait for a response. She just dashed to a building she recognized. A building that (hopefully) was a safe place for her (and if she did keep up, Yue) to rest. The Pokemon Center.

(OoC: If there's any problems involving possible godmodding, I am able to edit it. Just PM me, cuz I'm not sure about it.)

Helena giggled giddily at the lights, flashes, and sounds she saw from the battle outside. It was truly... very pretty in her eyes. Regardless, she was forced to tear herself away from it as she saw the flower coming towards the Center. She was so excited, she ran outside towards the flower!

A new friend! Oh boy oh boy oh boy! Did you cvome to play! I truly do love flowers! Oh I'm sure we'll be great firends! I'm Helena who are you and who's your friends and who's the monster?\

She said all this very, very fast, and barely kept track of what she herself was even saying to the poor stranger. Suddenly her back tingled, and she felt the air change. It wasn't the weather she was sensing, so she looked about, and put up a large barrier of pink light around herself, hoping the Reflect would keep whatever attack she was sensing at bay for awhile.

Before she bothered waiting for the flower, who she dearly hoped was safe, she bounded back inside the Center, calm and collected.

I do hope noone gets hurt... that would be a real shame...

"I suppose I'll follow you, then," Yue said. So many Pokémon had suddenly appeared. She meandered over to the Pokémon Center. In coming here, she found a very large group of survivors. "I thought survivors were supposed to be rare." She surveyed the group. There was Leah, the Roserade; Forever, the Leafeon, who was coming towards here; and an Espeon wearing a top hat that seemed to be on some sort of sugar high. "I know I'll regret this later, but, are you on HP Up or something? I've seen others get a sugar buzz from it before, and it's not pretty." She hesitated a moment before calling out to Forever. "Forever, stay away from this Espeon! She's buzzing on some sort of sugar rush!"

(OoC: Three cheers for a mediocre post!)

With a thunderous crack like splintering timber the ice breaks under the force of the Sludge Bombs, the impact of the compressed poison shattering the attack half way through. With a angry hiss Angel rears up on her hind legs.
Her prey escapes, running through the gap between the breaking ice and her body.
One even dares to attack her, the ghost type ball of shadows darts in but hits a few falling chunks of ice instead of it's intended target.
Angel scuttles out of the way as the last of the ice collapses and, without her attendance, soon begins to evaporate.
A cloud of vapour rises from the melting ice and Angel shakes the few tiny condensed droplets from her fur.
The grass types have fled but she has not been completely abandoned.
A purple one is still nearby.
"Lullaby..." She hums as she scuttles towards it.

Saffron City / Night [21]

Forever looked around the city. It seemed so much larger now that it was nightime. She looked around. So far, there were no buildings that weren't almost completely destroyed. The Pokemon Center was still nowhere in her sight.

She felt something small annd wet land on her ear. A raindrop. It was raining. Forever needed to find a place quickly.

The flower! The precious, precious flower who was supposed to have freed him from his thirsty, to take away the last bits of his needs left so quickly, running right past Civ as is he was made of cellophane. Like his existence was so insignificant that to even acknowledge him as she ran by would be unthinkable. It seems that even when one is free they are still held behind other types of bars. “We can’t have that can we.”

He was going to go after the thing and force it to acknowledge him, but he had to take care of something annoying first. The spider who was now for some reason smoking. Or at least Civ thought it was smoke, things were starting to get blurry again for some reason. all he knew was that there was something coming off of it.

“This is a non-smoking area bug, violators will be stabbed repeatedly.” And stab it he will with a Horn attack as he charged at it, that thing wouldn’t help his thirst so might as well get rid of the competition.

"A new friend! Oh boy oh boy oh boy! Did you come to play! I truly do love flowers! Oh I'm sure we'll be great firends! I'm Helena who are you and who's your friends and who's the monster?" Dear Arceus, this Espeon was nuts. Yue asked if Helena was on some sort of sugar rush, or something. Frankly, Leah was already getting annoyed with the Espeon. Dealing with idiots was not her forte.

"Uh... right..." She said, a bit unsure of herself. "I'm Leah, and this is Yue...?" Leah was just unsure of how to respond to...to...this. As the Espeon bounded back inside the Pokemon Center, Leah whispered to Yue sarcastically, "This will be fun..."

Deep down, Leah didn't want to be involved in any of Helena's acts, but she was always good at pretending, so she just chose to play along. With a fake smile, she said, "Well, I think it's time we get some rest, wouldn't you say?"

Helena was worried. She didn't like the idea of the poor Galvantula getting hurt by that mean Nidorino. She couldn't stand people getting hurt, and it was too much for her to witness. She ran outside, and with a quick gaze at the Galvantula, she placed a Reflect all around it to protect it from the nasty hateful Nidorino. To be safe, she placed one around herself as well, the pink wall of light protecting her.

"Please don't fight! Please! We can't be so mean to each other!"

She realized immediately that her plea was in vain, but thought it was worth it to try. Helena edged closer to the Galvantula.

"My name is Helena... who are you?"

After getting so rudely put off last time, she didn't know what to expect trying to make friends this time. But, she was, as always, hopeful for the best.

(Skip please. I don't know what to do... So... Yue is just standing there)

"Lullaby..." She says, turning her head so she can more clearly see the feline like purple pokemon that has come up to her. Mother would like such a good child...
Yet the other one was being stubborn.
Angel braces all of her legs against the concrete and shrieks loudly at it in a pitch that greatly hurts the ears.

Saffron City | Night [22]

She finally made it to the pokemon center. It took her some while to get here-the buildings were so big that you could get lost in them, not to mention that there were so many buildings in the city, which meant that the city had to be that much bigger.
She walked up to the pokemon center. she could hear others talking inside it. She recognized Yue's voice, but didn't know who any of the other voices belonged to. She put her paw on the door and pushed. The door was locked. The rain was falling even harder now. She didn't want to stay outside and get all wet. She pawed the door again, this time hitting it harder, to try to get the others to realize that she was there.

His ears where threatening to explode. Something was wrong, he shouldn’t be feeling this much pain from just a bug’s screech was insane. For the first part, he shouldn’t even be able to feel pain, that was supposed to be the greatest perk about being infected, the liberation from bodily harm, the freedom to do anything you want without worrying about the consequences. Yet here he was withering in pain as he tried desperately to make his feet grow so that they could reach his ears and cover them.

That’s the thing, he shouldn’t feel pain, yet why as he feeling it right now? The only solution he could come up with was that it was all the spider’s doing. “My kryptonite, of course!” That spider had the power to force those that are infected feel pain as if they were never infected. He had to get away, if he stayed here that thing would take away the freedom he had fought so hard to get, it would put him back into that cage and keep him powerless. Besides, it was not him he wanted, Civ's target was the flower, that precious flower who had ignored him as if he where Mr. Cellophane, which was not his name...

So he ran, it was a pained and wobbling run, but he fled none the less.

((Very slight, not so subtle reference there, and it wasn't the kryptonite thing ;D))

A loud screech entered the Pokemon Center. The Galvantula was back, being the source of the Bug Buzz. Leah put her flower hands up to her head to block the sound, tightly closing her eyes hoping the pain would be gone soon.

She opened one eye, and to her suprise, that Espeon was trying to be nice to the spider.

"Please don't fight! Please! We can't be so mean to each other! My name is Helena... who are you?"

What was she thinking?! Trying to make friends with the enemy! Without even thinking, Leah ran towards Helena and pushed the Espeon to a safe place, away from the Bug Buzz. The Roserade could tell Helena didn't like it, but it was for her own damn good.

"WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?!" Leah yelled, "WE'RE TRYING TO STAY ALIVE BY AVOIDING UNDEAD! WE'RE ALL GONNA BECOME ONE OF THEM IF YOU TRY TO MAKE FRIENDS WITH THEM! ARE YOU FUCKING RETARDED OR SOMETHING?! IT'S A WONDER HOW YOU'RE STILL ALIVE AFTER ALL THIS TIME!" Leah huffed and puffed, out of breath from her loud rant. She was pissed off at this brain-dead feline. And frankly, she was already done with her.

Helena was shocked, "No! I have to help the spider before she gets hurt! Get off me!"

She jumped away, and ran back fast as she could, but stoped, and turned around.
"And STOP CURSING AT ME PLEASE!"
Her tone was polite, but she had to shout, because she felt the flower wouldn't listen to her. Helena looked back at the spider, and walked right over to it, and made sure she had a Protect ready so nobody could touch her.

"I'm sorry everyone is so mean to you... I'll be your friend.... if you want."

This time, she wasn't so confident, because earlier, the spider had given her a confusing look as it used that screech attack. She was fine, because she had her defenses up, she didn't know why everyone didn't do this as well. It confused her greatly, but nevertheless, she decided to focus on the task at hand, making friends with this poor Galvantula, who everyone seemed to hate for no apparent reason.

The Roserade shoved the Espeon away from the bug, who was making a horribly loud noise (It was really scary to Yue), and shouted loudly, over the bug's buzzing. "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?!" Leah yelled, "WE'RE TRYING TO STAY ALIVE BY AVOIDING UNDEAD! WE'RE ALL GONNA BECOME ONE OF THEM IF YOU TRY TO MAKE FRIENDS WITH THEM! ARE YOU FUCKING RETARDED OR SOMETHING?! IT'S A WONDER HOW YOU'RE STILL ALIVE AFTER ALL THIS TIME!"
Yue ran to the scene as fast as she could, just in time for the Espeon to yell back. (...? She was too polite in the first place...)
"No! I have to help the spider before she gets hurt! Get off me!" She hopped away quickly.
"And STOP CURSING AT ME PLEASE!"
"LOOK, YOU!" Yue yelled. She tried to look aggressive even though Bug Buzz was practically killing her right there. She was trying very hard to stand the sound. "I don't know HOW bad your eyesight must be to NOT notice this, but the Galvantula is ALREADY DEAD! It is missing one of its eyes, and near that ITS BARE SKULL IS SHOWING!" She huffed, angrily. Suddenly, she noticed it was raining. She looked around, and then fled back to the Pokémon Center, where she saw Forever was. Forever was trying to get inside. Yue pointed to a broken window, huffing and puffing. She collapsed to the concrete.

(OoC: No, she hasn't passed out, but she's tired and weak now.)

Angel stops her screeching soon after the poison type breaks it's charge and hisses as it flees. The Buzzing always tired her and, though it was the strongest weapon she had, the Galvantula was running out of strength to perform it.
Her rival had fled but unfortunately so had the nice purple thing, one of the Grass Types took it.
Angel gnashes her jaws angrily, drips of saliva running from them.
That Porygon earlier was not enough.
She stamps her foot, the blue caraparced tip scratching the ground.
"Are you hiding away lost..." Angel calls as she crawls all over, searching. "If I had died I would have never felt sad at all."

Saffron City | Night [23]

Forever kept banging on the window, trying to get there attention. She heard someone run up from behind her. She started tapping faster and harder. she wouldn't want to be alone with...it.
A loud screeching noise echoed through the nearby area. It was extremely loud and it made her ears hurt. She turned around. The spider was there, and it wanted in as well. Forever leaped back. She ran around to the side of the building, out of the creature's way. Some breaking noises were heard on the front side of the center. Forever continued running.
The screeching noise came again. That annoying, painful noise. She could hear someone talking inside the center. Then, quickly, the talking soon became yelling-screaming-even swearing.
Forever kept running. She found a broken window. She crawled inside carefully not to get cut by the glass.

He could have sworn his ears were currently bleeding. It made no sense, sure some undead bleed, but not form something so petty, it would need to be a heavy blow for flood to flow out so easily. “Not only that but the pain, I thought I was finally rid of it…”

Nothing was making sense at the moment. But then again he wasn’t sure if things were supposed to make sense…figuring that out would take too much thinking for his liking.

Civ leaned his whole body against the side of a building, it was raining now, and he could clearly feel the cold, another thing he shouldn’t be feeling. He wasn’t even sure if he should get out of the rain, before he would have to worry about getting sick, and things should have changed, but with that twisted little spider’s doings who knows what could happen now.

There needs to be something done about that wretched spider, with it around he would not be able to take his first blood, and by how it acted before, it wanted the flower as much as he did. “Yes, neither can live while the other survives….But how….”

Is she seriously this stupid? The spider is dead and she's defending it. Leah had enough of her right there. As far as she was concerned, the Espeon was as dead as the spider to her.

A Leafeon came through a broken window to the pokemon center. Not long after, Yue fell to the ground out of exhaustion. She looked at her surroundings.

The Pokemon Center was a mess. And she was stuck in it with two undead, two pathetic grass types, and the most naive pokemon in the whole damn universe.

Completely ignoring Helena, Leah ran over to Yue. "Hey, you alright?"
