The SAFARI Team

Leliana listened as the Zorua introduced himself as Kide, and the Blitzle as Nuii. Strange names. Leliana had never heard of any other Pokemon having such names, but didn't mention anything about it.
"My name is Leliana," the Garchomp replied simply with no emotions in her voice, just to let these strangers know that she wasn't hostile nor entirely friendly. But even Leliana knew that being rude to others when the trouble was gone was not the wisest of choices, so she kept her annoyance out of her voice.

Though he wasn't turned in a direction that would enable him to see it, Gideon was subtly aware when the Milotic had retreated. The tension in the air had dissipated; soon he even heard someone introducing themselves as Kide. Gideon turned to the speaker somewhat reluctantly, as he wasn't excited to engage in a conversation at this time of day, especially after the short-lived attack. Who knew if that was just part one of a larger scheme the undead had come up with?

Reminding himself that the infected were mindless and would be unable to come up with things like an ambush--wishful thinking, perhaps, but it soothed his mind--Gideon forced his attention back to the conversation at hand. The next in line for introductions was a female Blitzle, Nuii, who wore a red scarf. She was the one who had issued the initial warning cry when the Milotic had attacked.

After the Garchomp flatly stated that her name was Leliana, it was Gideon's turn. He used the same stoic tone as he said, "Gideon." That was all.

Undine travelled through the forest, annoyed that she was unable to find a meal. She slithered through the undergrowth and around rocks and trees until she reached the Rocky Beach area. She slowly slunk towards the water to see her reflection.

"Am i bEuTifUl yEt?" her broken and distorted voice croaked as she asked no one the question. She wanted someone to answer her. She frowned as she dived in the water to rest.

Seeing the other pokemon running away for thier own Shelter made Kitana express a smile. They seemed to be young and not aware of what the infection could do...personally Kitana didn't either. But once together they could help each other into defeating their enemies.

But it made her start to think...Why together? Why must Kitana join them? She prefered the calm and loneliness instead of the loudness of the group. But yet the problem of not being in numbers could be deadly...Confused she tried to think to make up her mind.

After everyone introduced themselves Kide smiles. It was good to have other living pokemon around it made him feel secure. “Well its nice to meet you all. It been awhile since I last talked to anyone.” He meant what he said. It had been months since he last got the chance to have a talk with anyone. So meeting these other pokemon was the best thing that could have happened to him. “This cave seems to be the only safe place in the Zone. Its high up with only one entrance, so it would be easy to defend, and I don’t think that undead pokemon will be getting up here unless it grows wings and flys.” Snake like pokemon were never very good climbers, and the cliff was steep enough that the infected water pokemon wouldn’t be able to get up here unless it indeed grew wings and flew.

He walked over to the far edge of the cliff and looked out at the great view of the zone. With this kind of view they would be able to spot a flying type infected before it ever noticed them. And it would be easy to see other infected as well. He just wished he could locate that other pokemon that used and illusion to fool the infected Milotic. It surly had to be close if was able to command those fake pokemon so well. He knew it would show itself when it felt like it, he just wished that time would be soon.

Leliana had to agree that Kide was correct when he said this cave was the only safe place in the Zone, though the Garchomp was not completely familiar with the whole area yet. Besides, if an enemy were to attempt a climb up here, Leliana could easily move on the cliff and take them down.
"Even if an Infected would try to make their way up, I could beat them with no trouble. I've been around cliffs my whole life." Leliana said in her gruff but assuring voice. Sure, she wasn't completely fond of the Zorua and Blitzle, but Leliana would never leave any uninfected to just die, and these guys didn't exactly look like powerhouses. She lifted her gaze to the view of the Safari Zone; were there any other living out there?

"It's going to be morning soon, and damn am I hungry... Any of you got a good idea where food might be?"

The Garchomp realized just how hungry she was too; Leliana had not eaten for quite a while, and the whole Milotic mess only improved her appetite. She remembered where her stash of food was, but hoped no Infected had gotten into it.
"I know where some food is, but I should go alone. Three living Pokemon and the smell of food will defiantly draw out more of those undead Pokemon."

((OOC: Skip my turn; I have nothing to write because Gideon's just standing by and watching.))

((OOC: Skip my turn to, please. Sorry, but Undine's just in the water resting. I feel there's nothing much to post except that she's just kinda... there. Away from the group. ;;))

Kitana tried to rest, but the weigth on her mind about other pokemon being in here. She has decided that was the best to stay alone, she never was good with being with others. A growl startled her...but she noticed it was just her stomach, she was very hungry.

She got up from her place and walked away from her shelter memorizing it's location and walking through the area where she have hidden her resources.

Kide wished he could help everyone with there hounger. Other times when anyone said they were hungry he would crate an illusion of food, but doing that now wouldn’t be a very good idea. He was also hungry but he didn’t know what to do about it. Maybe he could go a search for some food for them. I’m sure they would be grateful for that. So that’s what he would do.

He ran back to the others and told them, “I’ll go find food for you guys, don’t go anywhere until I get back.” Not waiting for a reply he ran and climbed down the cliff. After that he took off into the forest. He knew it would be a lot harder finding food then he first thought. He looked back and forth but couldn’t find anything that would make a possible meal for his friends. Then he came to a river and thought that he could maybe catch some fish. Though he knew it would probably only satisfy Leliana and Gideon, so he would have to find something else to feed Nuii afterwords.

Leliana gave an annoyed grunt as the Zorua left without acknowledging her words; she knew where food was (hopefully) and Kide could be attacked at any time. Ignoring what he had said about staying put, Leliana went down the cliff after Kide had vanished from sight and went to her old den. It took a while to get through the forest and avoid drawing out Infected, but eventually Leliana reached that old cave. Her faded scent and the fresh scent of Infected lingered; they had come to this place after she had went to the cave on the cliff's top.

She headed to her stash hidden in the cave wall, thankfully it was untouched by those vile Infected ones. Snatching what was left, Sitrus and Oran berries, Leliana headed back to the cave of the cliff. This could defiantly feed Nuii and Kide for a while.

Gideon couldn't help but notice Kide's obvious ignorance when he went off, offering to get food despite the fact that Leliana had said the same thing moments earlier. He could only snort, half in amusement and half in disgust. Where the hell does he think he's going? He's not even bigger than me, the Milotic's still out there... what an idiot.

He stood up and faced Nuii, who was being completely obedient. "You really think that those two are going to get food on their own?" he asked gruffly. "Liliana, maybe, but Kide...?" Shaking his head, he added, "Damn. He's probably going to encounter that infected Milotic, and then what?"

Gideon didn't like his chances of getting any actual food, not from these two. Things might have looked better if Leliana had gone off in the same direction as Kide so they could both get food, but at this rate it looked as if this would be another night spent in hunger. Ah, what the hell. Not like I was starving anyway.

Undine was lying in the water as she slowly opened her eyes. She carefully watched as a infected Magikarp floated by. After a minute of waiting, she swiftly snapped her jaws around it and swallowed it whole. It may be undead, but food was food.

She poked her head out for some air as she eyes the water again, hoping she could find a bit more.

Kide managed to catch 5 good-sized fish before he decided to head back. Since he couldn’t carry them without having to make a second trip, he found a big sturdy leaf and put them on it, then he just dragged the leaf across the forest floor. “All I have to do now if find something for Nuii,” he said through a mouthful of leaf. He knew there was no one else around but he kept feeling like he was being watched. But he always felt that was nowadays.

He walked through the forest looked around trying to spot anything that Nuii might like. But so far he couldn’t see anything. Nothing but trees anyway. Then something caught his eye. It was a banana tree, and it had some bananas still in it. Kides tail started to wag. He put down the end of the leaf that was in his mouth, and started to climb the banana tree. He hoped Nuii liked Bananas, cause it was probably the only thing here that a Blitzel might like.

If it wasn’t for Kides good climbing skills, he never would have been able to get them, but he took as much as he could and slided back down the tree. He put the bananas next to the fish and picked up the end and started to make his way back to the others, even though he was a little lost. But thankfully, he could see the cave off in the distance. He had gone a lot farther then he intended to, but at lest he got food for the others.

Gideon could only shake his head as Nuii trotted off down the cliff to try to find Kide, who for all they knew might as well have been turned into infected Milotic food. I wonder if she expects me to follow her. He sighed. That would probably be the right thing, but there's no reason for me to abandon this shelter we've got. Besides, I'm tired.

He sat there for a spell, wrestling with his conscience, but eventually forced himself to lie down and try to sleep. It's their fault if they want to abandon such a good shelter. This was the only thought that would console him as he waited for sleep to come.

Unfortunately, he had never been an expert at drifting off when hungry, and found himself exhausted but kept awake by a very rebellious growling and empty stomach. Looks like I don't have a choice if I want to wake up tomorrow without bloodshot eyes.

With a sigh of annoyance at the fact that his conscience had won after all, Gideon crawled to the edge of the cliffside and started following the scent trail Kide and Nuii had left behind only minutes before.

Kide kept dragging the leaf with the food on it to the cave, but he was starting to get a very exhaustion. He kept feeling like the cave was getting farther and farther, and he wasn’t moving at all, but he was, and he was starting to breath heavily. “This… is… tiring.” He said through breaths. “I need to take a brake.” and he lay down right where he was just standing. He hadn’t gotten any sleep cause when he was about to, the Garchomp, Leliana, startled him. Then there was the Milotic trying to attack them. then he had to go ahead and offer to bring food for everyone. He guessed he just didn’t want to be like a burden.

His tongue was hanging out of his mouth as he lay there on his stomach. Then he thought he heard something that sounded like his name. It seemed to get closer until he finally heard it. It was Nuii, and she was looking for him. He managed to raise his head and call out, “I’m over here!” He hoped he said it laud enough for the Blitzle to hear. He could have said it lauder but he was too tired that he could barely talk. “I need rest… but, I’m a sitting ducklett out here, I hope Nuii heard me, so she can find me…” As he said that his eyes started to close and he passed out from exhaustion.

Leliana looked over to see Nuii carrying Kide, who appeared to be unconcious. What knocked him out? Fortunately, Leliana couldn't spot any wounds on the knocked-out Zorua. That was good; no bleeding, no infection. That was the last thing they needed right now, though Leliana could certainly protect them all. Perhaps that Mightyena could help...who, speaking of which, had gone to the edge of the cliff right before the others had returned. There was no need to search now.
"Foolish Zorua," Leliana grumbled, "going off by himself and falling unconscious. Just like a young one." Leliana tried to sound stern but memories of her kids added a hint of concern on her voice.
Isn't it a mother's job to protect all young ones? Leliana's reasonable side said, but her more malicious side countered it.
Well, all of your children are dead. That doesn't make you a mother any longer.
Leliana pondered on who was right....was she a failure of a mother figure?

[OOC: Watch out~ Undine's going to die soon. :U]

Undine laid on the bank now, quietly. Her mind was wild with a flurry of unwanted thoughts and promises from the old days. Only a single memory though, appeared and stayed in his dizzy mind.

It was just a few moments after they buried their trainer. Undine was crying- crying so hard she began to choke. Mist was curled up beside her, comforting her. "There there..." Mist murmured. "Sh-She in a-a better pl-place now." Was he voice always like this? No. Mist's voice had changed. She had always been so confident in her words and so fine with her wording, but now? Now she was just a nervous wreck, stuttering hollow sentences.

"I... I suppose you're right." Undine replied, eyes blurry as she stopped to look at Mist. "But what do we do now, Mist? We don't have a trainer anymore. We're all free. There's an infection going on and... And..." Undine was about to cry again when Mist answered. "We'll split up." Mist answered. Undine's jaw dropped, he eyes wide. "A-Are you kidding? We've been a team for who knows how long! We can't just... We can't just part ways!" Undine exclaimed. Mist sighed. "Travelling in a group will get us killed. Besides. It's for the better good."

Undine looked into the thick group of trees, whimpering. She closed her eyes. Her mind was screaming at herself to stop the memories, but she couldn't. She remembered the last time they would ever see each other again.

Mist and the team stood in a circle. They were all at Ecruteak. Mist inhaled a sharp breath. "This is where we say goodbye." she said. Acedia, the Scizor, frowned. "Yes." she murmured. "This will be the last time we'll ever see each other again." A female Typhlosion, Takura, closed her eyes. "I bid the rest of you good luck." she mumbled. Mist nodded. "Thank you- Leader." she paused. "Undine, use a strong Blizzard in here. So then we won't see where each other is going." Mist ordered. Undine did as she was told, a sharp Blizzard surrounding them, so strong that it blinded them from eachother's views.
Hollow goodbyes were said to the wind as the whole teams dispersed. Mist to Olivine, Takura towards Cherrygrove, Acedia to the unknown. Undine slithered towards the Sea, where she jumped in. She caught a quick glance of Min the Eelektross, levitating away. That was the loneliest night of her life.

Undine gave a sharp cry that rang through the Safari Zone, her jumbled emotions clashing ad screaming at each other. What was she going to now? She's all alone.
