Re: The CINNABAR Team
Drifting across the open skies, the Altaria was weary and tired. Having flown for days on end with barely any rest, the bird was almost overjoyed when the sight of the island came in view, gliding down onto the soft, sandy beach. Green eyes drooping with fatigue, she fluffed out her wings and stretched. "Now hopefully none of those undeads followed me here..." she murmurs, scanning her surrounding for any sustenance and life.
Squinting, she could see the remains of buildings a few ways away from where she stood, the afternoon sun glaring into her eyes. One of the buildings seemed to be a large house, a mansion perhaps? Fluttering over to the ruins, the Altaria peeped around. 'Should I call out to see if anyone's there? Or perhaps I should just go and explore myself... Deciding on the latter, Alesha trotted about the wreckage, cautiously making sure that she was as quiet as can be.
Eventually she had found a large hole, poking her head through to check around. There were scraps of metal pieces on the floor and... voices. Anxiously, the bird considered her options. 'Undead can't talk, right? If that's true, then I could probably call to see if someone replies... Hanging from the ledge, Alesha nervously called out. "Hello? Is anyone there?"

Re: The CINNABAR Team
It seemed the Hydreigon was just as pleasant as the last one Drecht had come across. Frowning at both the other dragon and the absol that fueled her bad temper, the golden salamence felt the air around them quickly saturate with tension. The absol didn't know to what sort of creature she spoke, and their situation may end up quite bloody. However, unlike the other dark dragon he'd known, this one seemed to contain herself for some reason, which intrigued the salamence. Odd behavior for a species known for its brutality...
“I don’t know what you plan on finding, but if you think it’s important, I want in,” she growled, after offering her means of light. Drecht nodded, and since Drago seemed particularly quiet, he felt it was his cue to take the reins.
"Very well, then," Drecht began, surveying the group. "Though not all of us need the light, we'll go ahead and alternate creating it the most subtle way possible, so we don't trap ourselves in a fiery coffin. And Hydreigon, to answer your earlier question, what else is there to do on this Godforsaken spit of land other than explore what's left?" He was about to continue when an airy voice flittered in the air, grabbing his attention quickly.
"Hello? Is anyone there?" Eyes going quickly to gaze past the Hydreigon's bulky form, he saw the elegant blue head and neck of an Altaria, another Hoenn native dragon. Well, his type was certainly popular on this desolate island, for whatever reason. "You can say that, Altaria..." he replied quietly, moving closer to the newer dragons. Moving past the Hydreigon, eyes glancing over her powerful form, he turned his attention to the newest newcomer. The dark dragon, though she made his instincts flare up in defense, would have to wait. Staring up at his fellow Hoenn native, he quirked a brow, waiting for some sort of explanation. When he got none, he cleared his throat and quieried, "...Yes?"

Re: The CINNABAR Team
Anya sighed heavily as the great three headed beast misunderstood her. It would figure that her natural serious tone would be construed incorrectly. but it was a curse she had long since learned to live with. Drecht seemed to have a knack for leadership, impressing Anya, and made it easy for her to follow into the plan of staggered searching.
A strange voice floated down towards them and Anastasia turned to see a very fluffy Altaria. She was pretty enough, but like Hope Anya wasn't sure what the other female waned. If she was crazy then there wouldn't be much point in going over there as they would be thrown into a brief panic. But Drecht called out to the voice and she couldn't really pretend that they weren't there now. Fine then. "Greetings."

Hope was characteristically oblivious to the tense air, overly familiar with the silent hostility having spent her entire life surrounded by it – the Hydreigon simply exuded it nowadays. Catching the Salamence’s frown, the female’s nostrils flared in annoyance. They were judging her – the whole damn lot of them. Her smaller heads growling in unison, the dragon’s spirits were only lifted at the shiny creature’s strategy. He was prepared, planning the group’s movements. Well, that was a surprise. Considering they weren’t searching for anything in particular, or rational, Hope remained thankful they were prepared to combat whatever beasts lurked within the darkness. Her glare gradually dissipating into a half-amused smile, she turned her head at the arrival of another survivor.
"Hello? Is anyone there?"
The voice was clearly female, dainty and interwoven with a tinge of apprehension – good, Hope was set at ease by the fear of others. It gave her a sense of power, superiority. Smirking mainly to herself, the Hydreigon’s gaze soon fell to the Altaria as the Salamance amd Absol went about welcoming the cloud-creature, albeit a little reservedly. What? Did they think the puffy beauty was going to attack them, rip their throats out to stain those illustrious wisps surrounding her? Pfftt… Hope gave an audible snort, flashing the avian a sarcastic smile. She would offer no ‘greetings’.

Re: The CINNABAR Team
The Altaria was shocked to have found the small group of living, the Salamence answering her question and the Absol had greeted her. Alesha brightened, gently fluttering down the hole to meet them. "I'm surprised, I didn't think I'd find anyone on this island..." she chuckled, smiling. "Oh, my name is Alesha. I was travelling from Unova to find a safe place to stay and landed here to rest,"
Her emerald vision scanned the group, catching the sarcastic smile the Hydreigon flashed at her. The three-headed dragon unnerved her, for whatever reason her gut was telling the dragon bird that she wouldn't be able to get along with the dark-dragon. Labeling her awful feeling as nerves and shaking them off, she continued speaking."Anyways, why are you all here in the basement?" she didn't mean to pry, but finding a sudden group of Pokemon down in the basements had caused her to become curious.

Drago was no longer suprised when another voice called down the hallway. It had happened so many times before, his mind had become used to the newcomers. When he saw this one, he was in shock. She was elegant and beautiful, a bird more shimmering than any he had seen before. It took him considerable effort to keep himself from gawking, and he cleared his throat softly before saying anything. The others greeter her before he could, but he took his chance to offer his name. "My name is Drago, miss Alesha." He nodded his head to the blue dragon. Her question, however, caught him a bit off guard.
Looking back at Meloetta, Drago tried to decide if it was safe to explain the situation or not. He could tell nothing from the others, and definately did not want to be the one to piss off a Legend. And so, he kept quite for the moment, allowing someone else to explain their purpose.

Re: The CINNABAR Team
Drecht watched the altaria with curious, guarded eyes, assessing quickly that she was likely not a threat. Though he'd had little interaction with the singing dragon species, he knew they were popular for a more aesthetic trainer, rather than one looking for brute strength. She offered her name, and explained herself before asking, "Anyways, why are you all here in the basement?"
"Well, we've toured the sights aboveground and decided to keep going beneath it," Drecht chuckled as he made his way back to the head of the group, ready to go and eager to get under way. "Now that we're comfy cozy, I suggest we keep going while we still have light to mark our exit. Onwards, then?" Though the last comment was a question, he began walking, holding a light Flamethrower up for light. He was done chattering like a bunch of hens; now was the time for action.

"Anyways, why are you all here in the basement?"
Hope snorted at the newcomer’s question, skimming over her shocked musings at having discovered other survivors. Although she appeared the typical, innocent damsel, the dragon was at least pleased she wasn’t the only one who thought it strange the group had chosen to scour a basement. Of all the places…
“Arceus knows,” The Hydreigon muttered darkly to herself, expression lightened from its previous scowl. As soon as it emerged however, one look at the shiny Dragonite was enough to reinstate it. He was practically gawking at her, enamoured by her beauty as he offered his name, Drago. Where the fuck was my warm welcome? It had been civil, of course, but Hope wasn’t stupid – she’d caught those glares, the flickers of emotion crossing the faces of her company. Annoyed that the group were intent on showing kindness to the beautiful, very much unlike her own barbaric appearance, Hope glided ahead. Fuck them.
"Now that we're comfy cozy, I suggest we keep going while we still have light to mark our exit. Onwards, then?"
Cozy? Oh, that sums it up perfectly… Nostrils flaring, the lesser heads snarling amongst themselves as she worked to suppress her growing anger, Hope paused a moment to hover alongside another shiny in the group, the Salamence. Eying him carefully, particularly curious at his ability to control the Flamethrower so well, the female remained typically unfriendly. Choosing to mooch off the dragon’s light source rather than risk burning the entire mansion down with her own, unpredictable abilities, Hope kept her jaws firmly clamped.

"My name is Drago, miss Alesha." Shaking off a bit of leftover debris from his fuffy feathers, the Altaria grinned. "Very nice to meet you, Drago!" Soon, the Salamence spoke. "Well, we've toured the sights aboveground and decided to keep going beneath it. Now that we're comfy cozy, I suggest we keep going while we still have light to mark our exit. Onwards, then?"
Nodding quietly, Alesha made the decision to join the group on their little adventure underground. Warm in the presence of the golden dragon's flamethrower, she followed the licks of fire through the darkness. "It's warmer than I thought it would be, down here," she murmured, noting the temperature. Her eyes drifted to the Hydreigon, surveying the three-headed behemoth carefully before turning away. The Unovian Dragon interested her, and found herself curious to know more about her.

Staring at the intense flame that Drecht produced, Drago suddenly found himself wishing that he could use a practical fire attack, rather than just Fire Punch. He would've liked to show off a bit. Following Drecht, walking closely next to Alesha. He nodded at her observation, thinking back to when they all arrived. He had dismissed it to the explosion he caused getting them in at first, but perhaps that wasn't it. They weren't too far underground, the upper passages were probably baked by the sun.
"It's likely to get colder the deeper we go in." He said, looking at the dark passage behind him. "We'll probably wish we had more flames once we get to the deepest parts." Hopefully it wouldn't get that bad... Rain, wind, sun, he could handle the lot. But cold... He was never able to live very well in the cold...

Re: The CINNABAR Team
The way in which Drago freely welcomed the bird was a little off-putting. After all, she had lived on this island most of her life and they had treated her like she was the introuder. But a legitimate invader just gets the open door? Rude didn't even begin to describe it. She let out a huff as they continued to make introductions so Anastasia took up a pace on the other side of Hope. "At least you seem to be on of the only rational ones here," she murmured, more to herself than Hope but it would have easily been heard by the three headed one. Up ahead Drecht was keeping the light going but she knew he wouldn't be able to do that forever. Though the feline had to admit, she never knew Mr. Pokemon would have a network so elongated under his mansion...unless...
"There may be a chance this could lead to the volcano again, to where Blaine had one of his labs." Anya had only met the man a few times when Fenix was younger, and just starting out as Gym Leader to replace the man. But when you meet a man like that you don't forget. "If I recall correctly the man had quite the eccentric mind to work with. He was, after all, my Gym Leader's grandfather and eccentricity ran in the family. He would have needed a budget though and he and Mr. Pokemon had worked together before when the first gym was destroyed in the first eruption." She looked around for any kind of clue that this may be one of Blaine's famous 'puzzles'. "If you see anything with Mewtwo or Moltres on it then I know where to go from there." The Absol was starting to get a little jittery, as the former Gym Leader had the tendency to create very crazy traps to go with his puzzles. Get an answer wrong and you could wind up regretting it.
"Crazy old man..." she muttered under her breath.
((OOC: Since I didn't recall much about where Drago wanted to go other than finding a lab of some sort I gave us an option. ^_^))

"At least you seem to be one of the only rational ones here,"
Hope had caught the Absol’s quiet mutter, the lesser heads jerkin to observe the female sharing the dragon’s own bitterness. Still, it succeeded in bringing a smirk to the creature’s face – that in itself was quite the achievement.
“I’m surprised someone noticed,” Hope grumbled back, the brunt of her tone lessened by a half-amused tinge. Catching the feline’s eye with her own golden orbs, the Hydreigon made a mental note that this girl had the capacity to escape the idiocy surrounding them. Perhaps the decision to join this little group wasn’t as suicidal as she’d first thought.
Soon, however, Hope was left oblivious to the topic. Blaine? What the fuck’s a Blaine? Eyes narrowing, the three-headed creature unwilling to admit her complete ignorance of the creature they spoke of instead remained locked in her fierce silence. All three heads working to catch the reactions of her company, the dragon eventually opted to look out for glimpse of Mewtwo and Moltres murals – this Blaine thing would become apparent in time.

Re: The CINNABAR Team
"It's likely to get colder the deeper we go in." Alesha definitely didn't like that idea. Already she was fluffing herself up, trying to stay warm as she waddled on. "Now I wish I knew a bit of a smaller-scale fire attack... The only one that I can do is Fire Blast," she mumbled, her head hung a bit in disappointment. For now, she'll have to rely on the Salamence's flames for heat, although she wished she could do something herself.
The Absol began speaking about a human man, someone named Blaine. "If you see anything with Mewtwo or Moltres on it then I know where to go from there." The Altaria nodded, although the thought of any kind of legendary eventually made her mind think of hr father. Where was he now? She hummed a bit, hoping the great dragon was still alive. Her eyes drifted on the feather necklace she wore, before shaking the thoughts away. This wasn't the time to get sentimental, and the bird scolded herself.

Drago nodded to Anya's instructions, even if he didn't quite understand them. What the fuck is a Moltres, or Mewtwo, for that matter? He had met Mew, did that mean there was a second one like her? He shook his head, clearing out the thought. No, that was preposterous... Regardless, he didn't feel the need to alert the others to his stupidity. He just wouldn't point anything out unless it looked suspicious.
"Lead the way, Drecht." Drago said, nodding to the golden dragon. The hallway was very large, but not large enough for more than two of the four dragons to be side by side at the same time. Curious, Drago did a count. Six, including himself, and four dragons. His face darkened slightly. Israfael and his friend were gone. How long ago had that happened, and he had failed to even notice? He let out a sigh. They couldn't go after them, unfortunately. It was too late now. Shaking his head, he turned to follow the others down the corridor.

Re: The CINNABAR Team
While Drecht enjoyed being one of the more useful memebrs of their herd at the moment, his light that served as a beacon for the others and himself soon made itself to be a burden. The flame itself was wholly helpful, but the fact that he had to sacrifice his own tongue in order to utelize it meant he had to keep uncharacteristically quiet during what proved to be many opportunities to give his own little quippet here and there. Especially when the absol voiced her own opinions.
"There may be a chance this could lead to the volcano again, to where Blaine had one of his labs," she began, earning a quirked brow from the golden dragon. 'Blaine...?' Now who...? "If I recall correctly, the man had quite the eccentric mind to work with. He was, after all, my Gym Leader's grandfather and eccentricity ran in the family. He would have needed a budget though and he and Mr. Pokemon had worked together before when the first gym was destroyed in the first eruption." Drecht longed to question her more, genuinely intrigued by her intimate knowledge of the island's history. "If you see anything with Mewtwo or Moltres on it then I know where to go from there." Now, that was just completely unhelpful. Being a Hoenn native, it was all he could do to know the name of the island he bunkered in, not to mention whatever she was talking about.
A sigh of defeat escaped him, resigned to the fact that he would just have to wait to get his answers. Still, he took up his duty as Light Bearer as Drago nodded him forward, his large, bulky legs taking him down the long, shadowed hallway. As he walked, the eerie silence the place held began to crawl at his scales. It seemed that even before the Undead arose, this place had been abandoned. However, something caught his eye, and he ventured bodly toward it. Pausing before he got too close, he nodded toward the thing, unsure of what it was. Let the others inpect it.
((It can be whatever, even some garbage! Drecht just can't see very well because of how he's holding his head and how bright the light is to his face XD))

Re: The CINNABAR Team
“I’m surprised someone noticed,” Anastasia couldn't help the smile that played at her lips from the response. It seemed the powerful female wasn't nearly as brutish as she had portrayed earlier from a simple statement. She liked the sassy way she responded to some of the odd things that had been happening around this tiny basement, like Drago's sudden infatuation with the new arrival. This seemed highly unusual consider the 'oh so warm welcome' she had received, and she was a native to the small island. They were the intruders, not her.
Up ahead Drecht discovered something by quite literally tripping over it and the Absol's attention was captured by a resounding click that echoed down the hallway. That was not good. Walking over to the golden dragon she looked down and was horrified to see a laughing Mr. Mime carved into a broken pillar that now lay smashed upon the floor. “Oh shit...” Each random Pokemon was actually a trap for going the wrong way, and the Pokemon represented the trap. As the clicking continued suddenly there was the sound of stone scraping stone and Anya realized that the room was getting smaller. “Trick Room!” she cried, turning tail and heading back the way they came. “Get out before the room completely closes in on you!” This more than showed her it was one of Blaine's halls, and leading to something important if he installed traps that could kill people.

Hovering along, relishing in the silence that had overwhelmed the group, Hope’s earlier expression of subdued fury had significantly weakened. Now, each of her heads held a look of mild annoyance – good for a creature of her calibre. Although there was nothing in particular responsible for the dragon’s dark, near natural glower, Hope tried to remind herself of the positives of her current situation. The foremost being the fact she wasn’t crowded by children. Whilst her company seemed philosophical, seeking meaningless information in a run-down mansion, Hope was glad that they were mainly quiet about it. Could always be worse…
“Oh shit...”
So much for that. Nostrils flaring, lesser heads beginning to growl at the Absol’s utterance, Hope’s body instinctively tensed as she raised her head to identity the looming threat. The clicking seemed harmless enough, if anything, rather grating to her pounding temples, but the scraping of stone brought a world of realisation to the female. As the Absol soon announced, the walls were closing in around them.
“Fuck this!” Hope growled, angry as she followed the dark-feline’s example to head back in the direction they’d come. She’d have to move quickly too. As the largest of the group, the tips of her wings already grazing the shifting walls, Hope was not about to die out of some misplaced sense of chivalry. No, it was most definitely every man for themselves.

Re: The CINNABAR Team
The Altaria's attention was caught by the Salamence's find, scurrying over to examine the wall lit by the dragon's flame. An odd, foreign humanoid was carved onto the dirty stone, now broken and laying on the floor. The Absol too, had noticed the Mr. Mime etching and was first to warn the group. “Oh shit...” Instinctively Alesha fluttered away, before freezing in place at the sound of scraping stone. “Trick Room! Get out before the room completely closes in on you!"
The dragon bird didn't need to be told twice, already hopping on her feet back the way she came. The narrow hallways wouldn't allow her to spread her wings, and forced her to reluctantly use her talons instead. She followed the dark-types, skipping quickly across the ground. The grinding sound of earth was beginning to fade farther she got away. "Where to now?"

Drago jumped when Anastasia called out to them. Trick Room? What does that mean? He thought quickly, looking around for dangers. He didn't see any, but a small flicker of movement kept tricking him at the corner of his eye. No, wait. That wasn't a flicker of movement. It was the walls getting smaller. The others were already moving by the time he began, and he followed them out using his wings as a speed boost. What the hell are we dealing with down here? He thought to himself, trying to count the others.
"Did everyone get out?" He said, still breathing slightly more heavily than normal. He wasn't used to using his legs to run. He was much more comfortable climbing. His mind still raced, curious to what other traps were down here. Were they really safer down here than on the surface?

Re: The CINNABAR Team
"Oh, shit..."
Those two simple words were enough for Drecht, now knowing the small bit he'd tripped over was a trap. A strange click resounded down the hallway a bit, and Anastaisia called for everyone to run. His eyes soon spotted the danger, the walls slowly creeping inward. Bollocks.
He turned quickly and loped back the way he'd come, the slowest it seemed on all fours compared to the others, his wings too broad to spread in the closing hallway. Once with the others in safety, his flame extinguished from his heavy panting, he looked over them all, counting heads. Seemed like everyone who was supposed to be there was present. While questions began filling the room, Drecht took no time to turn to the absol, eyes flashing with urgency. "What other traps are there down here? What pokemon are they symbolized by? If we're going to stay alive down here, then everyone needs to know, not just you." He took another look around, his eyes showing him little in the bleak darkness. "What else are we to suspect down here?"

"Did everyone get out?”
Hope gave a quieted grumble at the idiotic question. Look for yourself! However, the snappy thoughts remained restricted to the confines of her already fuming mind. She had managed to escape without a scratch on her, but knowing that she had unwittingly followed a group of lunatics into a trap-filled mansion wasn’t sitting well. There was no way out now. Of course, she could probably blast a hole through the wall in need be, yet their position remained unknown.
"What other traps are there down here? What pokemon are they symbolized by? If we're going to stay alive down here, then everyone needs to know, not just you. What else are we to suspect down here?"
Her nostrils flaring, a thin trail of smoke twirling from them as an embodiment of her own inner rage, Hope’s attention snapped to Drecht as he asked guidance from the Absol. Good fucking point! Flexing her wings, pleased to have the room to do so following the tight situation of the creeping walls, the Hydreigon’s attention fell entirely to the dark-type who’d been addressed. She better have some answers.

Using her feet to travel distances were not something that Alesha would like to get used to. The ground already causing her talons to ache and legs weak. The Altaria's wings were twitching to be spread instead, but the narrow hallway simply just made everything worse. Her fear only grew at the knowledge that they were underground. Out of all the areas where a bird could be, she was right at the opposite of her home. Below the Earth.
When the Salamence brought up the point about how the Absol should tell them all about the traps, Alesha inwardly prayed. 'Lets just hope there aren't any traps where these halls began to collapse on themselves...' Her eyes were carefully studying the dark-type, the old teachings from her father registering in her brain. This would be a good time to judge the Disaster Pokemon.

Unsastisfied when no one answered his question, Drago took a count for himself. Everyone had seemed to get out safely, and no one was injured. Heaving a sigh of relief, he looked to the Absol. Drecht proposed the question before he could, asking after more traps. He needed to know his team was safe, and wouldn't go further without consent from them all. He wouldn't be responsible for what could happen down here. The possibilities were too grim.
Not waiting for a response from the Absol, Drago addressed his fellows. "We knew it wouldn't be a cake walk to get down here." He began, voice soft enough to carry impact in the hallway. "But we need to decide as a group if we're going to go on or go back." He didn't voice his own opinion first. He wanted to see what the others thought.
