History | Ra grew up as a young Ekans near the Ruins of Alph with his Arbok mother. She trained him to survive amongst large birds of prey, who would swoop down and eat them. She taught him how to use his fangs and his slippery body to get away. And then she tried to teach him how to hunt the nests of these same birds. Ra was exceptional in his training, but he could not bring himself to eat hatchlings, or even eggs, as a proper snake should. Shamed and outraged, his mother took him to the nest of a local Xatu, who was particularly fierce and territorial, and demanded that he slither up and steal one of their eggs. Refusing to even try, she grew angry, attacking him until he did as he was told. But he would not attack his mother, nor would he go up the tree, so he just stayed his position until his body couldn't take the beating. Ra had passed out, and his mother, disgusted by his decision, left him there to be eaten by the bird. But the owner of the nest had been watching from afar, and had seen Ras' noble decision. The Xatu took the young Ekans under his wing and nursed him to health again, and raised him with his sole hatchling, Fala. The two, ever since she hatched, were inseparable. The reptile felt a deep connection with the young bird, and was always there for her, like an older brother. He had eventually evolved into a very powerful Arbok, which was the result of his constant training. He wanted to protect his adopted family; no matter what. One day, their father never came home. There had been many strange pokemon about; all of them 'tasting' of death to Ra. After a few weeks, they had to leave their home. Fala wanted to search for their father, and Ra agreed. They've traveled around ever since. |

Personality | - Rash and acts on emotion - Has strong ideals |
User Notes | - They fight together as a team. The combo of poison and psychic makes them a powerful combination. - Ra got his scar on his belly from his mother when she attacked him. - He got his name from Father Xatu. He named him so because he was the symbol of life to his daughter, though he was a snake, usually a symbol of death. - The pairing are complete opposites, yet they compliment each other. |
