Suicune's Absence

I'm sorry to say that Suicune's power supply on his laptop is broken, and he won't be able to get on for a undetermined amount of time.

That being said, I will take his responsibilities for Johto, and Mewtwo, if he's willing, will take his responsibilities for Sinnoh until he's able to return.

I would like to post a quick announcement for everyone: I won't be here long, I just came in to check on how things were going.

I've noticed that a rather large group of members have started to expand on the official RP by making our Pokemon plotline a hybrid, combining it with other books, movies, etc.

While I don't like to staunch our members' creativity, I would like to remind everyone that in the official RP, the story and characters must remain canon to Pokemon and its' respective universe...meaning there can't be mention of things or characters outside of Pokemon.
Of course, this doesn't mean you can't combine things; this just means you have to take those characters and plotlines to the unofficial RP threads.

So if certain characters haven't been approved, this is why.

The main reasons I enforce this is because:
- the other members on the teams you join may or may not know the story arcs or characters that you are referring to, nor should they. This is a Pokemon site. This may lead to conflict and/or unnecessary confusion.
- it violates the rules of remaining canon
- current plotlines are veering into other fiction, which isn't acceptable.

I would like to keep the official RP strictly Pokemon. Allusion to other characters/personalities is acceptable, but it will be much more strictly enforced now.
Allusions that would not affect plotline in a major way or lose people who have potentially never read or seen the fictions you are referring to are acceptable.
Anything that would confuse others or mesh the two universes too much isn't acceptable.
If you feel that your character pulls too much from another fiction, you are free to use it in any non-canon RP thread you wish.

Of course I am willing to help out, you both did the same for me after my accident. It's only courtesy that I return the favor.
