| Personality | Proton has been known to be many things, both flattering and unflattering. He takes it all in stride, except when he doesn't, but the people who manage to successfully and legitimately get under his skin are typically few and far between.
- Personality:
-Narcissist. He is very narcissistic, first and foremost, and will not hesitate to remind anyone within earshot just how great and pretty and amazing he thinks he is and in excruciating detail, at that. Some of his claims are reasonable, others are exaggerated but still have sparse grains of truth to back them up, and others come out of complete nowhere. Doubting him will, of course, only drive Proton to prove that he is right.
-Theatrical. Though in a less traditional way, Proton is an utter drama queen when he wants to be. Which is all the time. His favorite trick is to lull others into a false sense of security by pretending to be friendly, carefree or informal, before reminding them immediately after why he has managed to garner such a reputation for terror and violence. His reputation is also an extension of his theatrical side; he loves it when people are afraid of him, and loves giving them new reasons to be afraid of him, carefully cultivating rumors to piece together his ideal image of someone who is most certainly not one to be trifled with.
-Stubborn. The more one tells him not to do something, the more he wants to do it. The more impossible a task seems, the harder he tries to complete it. Reverse psychology is very effective.
-Loyal. The individuals he finds himself trusting, as few as they may be, are virtually guaranteed his loyalty for life.
-Liar. Unsurprising to anyone who knows him, but Proton lies almost constantly, and he can be very good at it when he wants to be. He lies about many things, from his interests (no, he does not possess a fondness for Shakespeare, what self-respecting tough guy would be into that crap), to his intelligence (big words? What are those?) all in the name of the image he has created for himself that he values so highly. He also has little problem with talking his way into getting what he wants if other methods aren't applicable.
-Manipulative. In addition to being a liar, however, he isn't opposed to twisting others around his finger whenever possible. Sometimes for practical reasons, other times just because he can and gets a kick out of messing with people.
-Reckless. Proton has very little in the way of self-preservation, to the point where it's an absolute miracle he hasn't gotten himself seriously injured yet. He honestly just doesn't care; he lives for the thrill. Consequences don't matter to him, because if things are going to go to hell, he might as well have fun doing it.
-Apathetic. Despite his rather loud personality, Proton really doesn't... Care. There are a select few things he holds important to him, and everything- and everyone- else is just another plaything to be used and used and used until he gets bored of them.
-Immature. He's honestly just a big bully. Albeit one with a predisposition towards violence. His "friendly" persona and sense of humor leans towards the immature as well.
-Sadistic. Proton is, of course, very sadistic. Hurting Pokemon? Good. Hurting people? Even better. He would much rather go for physical torment rather than psychological, but he'll take whatever he can get, and if he can't get anything, expect to have a very antsy, irritable Proton on your hands. Part of the reason why he so strongly prefers knives as his weapon of choice is that it only truly feels like he's hurting something when he gets to use them; guns are too quick for his tastes.
-Chatty. Seriously, he never shuts up.

| User Notes | -Ambidextrous.
-Has a great disdain for guns, and will only use them when absolutely necessary. Despite his dislike, he is admittedly a very good shot.
-His manner of speech is very casual, and he often has a tendency to drop off portions of sentences he deems unnecessary. "I am going to the store," turns into "going to the store." "I'm going to see him next week. I'll talk to him about it then," becomes, "gonna see him next week, talk to him about it then." Ect, ect. In general, he speaks very informally by default, though this can change if he is sufficiently annoyed and/or deems it appropriate.
-He loves his hat like a newborn child. Except it's even better because it totally doesn't scream and stuff.
-No, Proton is not his real name. No, he will not tell you what his real name is. Not even if you ask him nicely. It's a touchy subject.
-Collects knives.
-Hates puns.
-Smarter than he lets on, at least as far as his vocabulary goes, though he hides that side of himself out of some strange, childish insecurity that he'll be perceived as nerdy if he makes it known.
