| History | Anastasia wasn't born captive, but was caught so young she never remembered much of her time in the wild. All she could really recall was a shadowfaced glimpse of her mother, fur the purist white and luxiriously soft for one who lived in the rugged heights of Mt. Coronet. She was a small kit when she was seperated from her mother and captured by a trainer. He was a terrible man, and only wanted the Disaster Pokemon for the fear it held in local superstitions, often using her to frighten people so he could buy out their properties. The Absol could not stand for this. One day, while the town was holding an annual festival praying for a good harvest, her trainer tried to use her to convince the people that a great drought was coming and that they all had to sell their land to him in order to feed their families through winter. She turned on him, crushing her Pokeball and putting herself between the people and his lies, then using her horn to drive him backwards into a vegetable cart. Confused and alarmed, the townspeople thought her crazed until a youg Gym Leader visiting from another region made herself know. Her name was Fenix, and she offered another side to the Absol's story. Taking her lead, they investigated the awful man's home and found several contracts to the town's land to Team Galactic. Infuriated the townspeople drove him from the town instead of the Absol, and praised her for bringing their attention to his misdeeds. While she was happy that the townspeople weren't angry at her, it is hard to get rid of centuries of superstition. They still didn't trust her, and it broke her heart. All she wanted was to protect them, but how could she do that if they didn't trust her? But being a Pokemon there was nothing she could do to convince them of her intentions, and no one seemed to understand her...no one but Fenix, that is. The Gym Leader seemed to sense her inner struggle and offered an alternative, to go with her back to her Gym and protect the young ones there. The Absol gratefully accepted Fenix, placing her head in the trainer's lap and nuzzling her stomach, grateful to have someone who could understand. And so back to Kanto they went, to Cinnabar and Fenix's Gym, rebuilt in honor of her grandfather. Fenix gifted her with the name Anastasia, and she wore it proudly. The human female proved to be an excellent leader as well as trainer, and while her speciality was Fire types she had a sort of intuition when it came to her other Pokemon, knowing just what they needed to excell even if they had hinderences like a bad nature or naturally low stats. Years went by, and Anya grew into a beautiful Absol. She stilll had her desire to protect, and found herself often as the guardian to the Gym or Fenix's home, though she was free to travel between the two if she ever felt lonely. She normally kept to herself as she tended to come across a bit rough to some of the younger trainer's Pokemon, but there was one on Fenix's team that really understood her. Lexa, the Blaziken that trained the apprentices with Fenix. She and Anya would spend most of their free time together and after Lexa's debilitating injury Lexa took up residence in the house with her. Anya was a natural leader and had an attention for detail that sometimes left Lexa bewildered, but they worked as a duo very well, Anya taking care of the house while Lexa took care of the little ones. One day, Fenix was visiting in Johto and never came home. All of her Pokemon, especially Lexa, were very concerned. She couldn't help but blame herself for not going with the Gym Leader, knowing that her ability to sense disatster may have prevented what ever delayed their dear trainer. It wasn't until news of infection and the dead coming to life that anyone suspected Fenix might not be coming back. When the infection hit Cinnabar it hit like a hellfire. Anya sensed it only days prior but the warning was not enough, as they were soon overwhelmed. She couldn't even get out of the house to help Lexa and the children at the Gym because they swarmed the entire island. She fought hard to guard the house, her last charge by her trainer, and refused to give it up to these vile creatures. She tore through them at an alarming rate, never slowing until the hordes thinned. By the time the infected started to receed, there wasn't much left of Cinnabar to protect. At least it seemed that even the infected could die out on their own, so many of the fire types dropping like flies after a few weeks without food, some simply because. Anya could see the Gym from the house, and saw the damage from the horde tearing inside, and knew Lexa was probably dead with the Apprentices. All she had left is the house. So she sits there still, ever vigilant, watching and waiting for any sign that may give her a new purpose. |
| Appearance | A sleek, majestic creature with slick fur as white as winter snow stands proudly before you. Her eyes seem to look into your very soul, and within them you can sense a determined spirit and inner power that would otherwise be hidden. Her dignified appearance is only accentuated by the deep blue of her face and horn, giving you the impression of a guardian angel. Her eyes are always watching, an everlasting vigil over those she has sworn to protect. |
| Personality | Anastasia has always been known as a Guardian. She deals with things rationally and logically, preferring to take things in using her senses in a literal, concrete fashion. Self-confident and aggressive, this Absol is a take-charge type. She has such a clear vision of the way that things should be, that she naturally steps into leadership roles. She is always watching to make sure that everything is running smoothly and systematically. She has always honored traditions and laws, and expects the same of others, with almost no patience or understanding of individuals who do not value these systems. Her life must run efficiently, and like to see quick results for their efforts. Anastasia is conscientious, practical, realistic, and dependable. She can sometimes be very demanding and critical, because of her strongly held beliefs, and is likely to express herself without reserve if they feel someone isn't meeting her standards. Though she isn't trying to be insulting, she is simply straight-forward and honest. She sometimes has a problem with fulfilling other's needs for intimacy or affection, and may unknowingly hurt people's feelings by applying logic and reason to situations which demand more emotional sensitivity. When bogged down by stress, Anastasia often feels isolated from others. Often feeling misunderstood and undervalued, and that her efforts are taken for granted. Although normally very verbal and doesn't have any problem expressing herself, when under stress she has a hard time putting her feelings into words and communicating them to others. |
