| History | Mustang was always in a military family, so to speak. His father, and his grandfather, were partner Pokemon of military members. However, each of them took notice of a corrupting factor in the lower rankings of the military- commanding officers doing things for self gain, be it removing troublesome underlings, or even so far as to make other Pokemon "dissapear." While Mustang did not understand these rantings of old military dogs when he was but a small Vulpix, he would inquire into joining the military. Soon enough, he would see the corruption for himself- his Partner, a very capable, intelligent and worthy man often found himself doing work even the Privates weren't degraded to. Mustang, being out of his ball often, began to make it his tendency to walk around in the evenings. This way, when he began to snoop around, nobody thought it odd that he was out and about. If ever ordered back to the barracks, he obeyed, even if mere steps from something big. He always deceived those around him in order to do good for those close to him. Over time, he brought suspicious documents to the attention of higher ups, often through placing them discreetly in places that he was aware they would be found by said upperclassmen of the military. Mustang would continue to look after his trainer, as well as those close to him- pokemon that he affiliated with and even took as unofficial subordinates from time to time, one of them being Riza Hawkeye.-enter hawkeye historical relation here-. Mustang found himself surprisingly calm and collected when the Epidemic initially occurred. He was sent to the front lines with his trainer, now a Colonel, and showed great tactical prowess in the face of terror and battle. His fire techniques often left the opponents burned, greatly assisting his allies. When he returned, and found out that Fire Types exhibit extremly frail tendencies in response to being infected, let alone rapid "turn" rates, he did have a panic attack... and a strengthened resolve. He would live on, and help his allies do the same. |

| Appearance | Mustang is overall an average Ninetales. He keeps himself relatively clean, but isn't afraid to get and be dirty. He is slightly more fit than other Ninetales due to military training. His two most common expressions are a poker face that is his resting expression, and a shit-eating grin that is most often smeared onto his head after making a short joke towards Ed. |

| Personality | Roy Mustang carries about him, on any average day, an air of narcissism, arrogance, and shallow selfishness. However, he is very intelligent, an expert tactician, and highly capable in high-stress and high-pressure situations. He is also a man of manipulation, whether or not it is for selfish desires. Sometimes he chooses to manipulate simply to make his life easier, while others he does so to throw his foes off of his trail- or if his allies and friends are in danger, ON to his trail. Under all these seemingly negative traits, his personality opens further once you know and understand him. Roy feels that it is his duty- both professionally and personally- to ensure the safety of his friends and allies. If you choose to support Mustang whole-heartedly, he will go to great lengths to keep you safe, even if it results in his own harm. These protective tendancies have proven to cloud his judgement, pending the situation, in the past. |
