History | In an age long since past, Regigigas created three children-Registeel among them, born within the confines of the earth. They were always together, the siblings inseparable and protected by their creator; being new creatures, Registeel and his siblings knew little of the world then. In time, the three golems would learn of a species so very unlike themselves: humanity. Humans were small, fragile, and confusing to the young Registeel. He could understand their speech, but not their ways. Even so, the three golems and these humans formed a bond, living together in an effort to reach further understanding. Registeel helped the humans, and in return, they would talk with him about the things he had yet to learn. But as time went on, the humans grew afraid, and lost the trust they held for the golem trio. Registeel did not know it, but they had learned to fear Regigigas, to fear his creator’s strength and wrath. And so, as a result of these feelings, they were all sealed away. Registeel felt confusion, betrayal, anger as the humans trapped him in a tomb, and forced his consciousness into a deep sleep. He could think, and feel, but his body could not move. Everything was dark. Registeel had the faintest sense of his creator and siblings, but they were too far away, lost to him. In that darkness, having nothing to do but think on his life and what the humans did to him, his emotions twisted to bitterness and hatred. He had been wrong to ever trust humanity. They had taken everything from him. He missed his siblings and Regigigas more than anything, but there was nothing he could do to awaken. Registeel had long since lost his sense of time when he felt something off, something immensely wrong with the world. When he finally awoke from his slumber, he was alone; it took him time to fully return to his senses, having been locked up so long. But when Registeel finally left his prison, he was greeted with a land no longer familiar to him. A land that was in ruins. Even a short venture outside was enough for him to see how far the humans had come in his absence, and how far they’d fallen to...something inexplicable to him. From what little he could tell, other Pokemon-non-Legends-had turned on them. Some even tried to attack him, and were crushed underfoot. It was then Registeel knew why he had awakened after so long. His family needed to be freed, and he had to be the one to do it. He set his sights upon the desert, where he could sense his brother Regirock awaited. Underneath those sands, the rock golem would be waiting for him, and together they would free the others. Soon, they would all be reunited as a family again. |
Appearance | "The top-half of Registeel's body is spherical and gray with a black stripe running down its "face". Its face consists of seven red dots in a hexagonal formation. It has black arms with three fingers each and cylindrical legs. While Registeel has been classified as a Steel-type Pokémon, its body is actually made of a material that is harder than any known metal. However, this material stretches and shrinks despite its hardness. Its body was tempered by pressure underground over thousands of years." -Bulbapedia Registeel's appearance has remained unaltered, even after his reawakening. |
