Mauville City [Mauville Hills]/Late Night (5)
Sirius couldn't help but emit a muffled chuckle into the floor as he lay there sprawled out like roadkill over the threshold. The others were filing in, stepping straight over him; the Delphox huffed as he raised his head to look at them. "Yeah, I'm fine, thanks for asking," he remarked, and was about to say more when a massive roar from downstairs thundered through the walls and floor, startling him to his feet.

Indeed the small apartment was empty, apart from the dust-covered furniture and-- Sirius stopped as he noticed something leaning against one of the armchairs.
"And what are we suppose to find in here?" Eris asked as Sirius approached the chair and noticed with surprise that it was a wooden staff, not unlike his own. He picked it up and examined it closely.
"It doesn't look like anyone has been in here for a while," Madison casually observed, but by that point Sirius had stopped listening. He channeled some of his psychic power through his arm and into the new staff, and its tip sparked with life. There was no doubt about it - this was a Delphox staff; it had to be if he could use it like his own.
He let the new staff extinguish before putting it down on the couch. He held up his own torch, looking around the room with renowned interest. If there was another Delphox around, he wouldn't be foolish enough to take off without his staff - he still had to be around here somewhere.
"Hey, is anyone else in here?" he called, holding his flame aloft and illuminating the whole room. He caught sight of pair of eyes watching them from a crack in one of the doors, the fire flickering in their reflections.
