Pressing on the door as hard as he could, Rosko could not budge the door alone. "Let me try something," The Quilava spoken in a mutter. Looking at the door a bit. Cinder had done something and it rattles in place. "Ah, sorry Mel. It was worth a shot though." The Houndoom thought it was an impressive attempt, though the Vulpix spotted something that Rosko didn't see. Tracing Faux's stare to the door, the Dark type looked closely. How could he have missed something important? The door's hinges was in bad shape and it looks like it could break. "Shouldn't be too hard to bust down. Just a little pressure from most of us should do the trick." Perhaps hitting the door would do something to the hinges. The fire fox had backed up some ways to make an attempt. "On three." Rosko moved back and was ready to strike at the door with all his might. "One, two, three!" Everyone started attacking the door to break it down. The Dark type ran towards it slamming his side right into the door.
The Houndoom backed up again to slam his side into the door again. Once again he slams into the door with his side. "Come on ye blasted door, break open." Again he repeated the process until the next hit caused the hinges to make a horrid sound. "One more good hit and it be opened for us." He looked at Faux, Miyu, and Cinder as he thought of something. If the four of them could hit the door all at the same time, it should break open with the combined strength. "Lads and lasses, we should hit it at the same time. Maybe that way we be getting in." It was worth a shot though and if there is a shot at getting in this would be the perfect time to. Rosko gives a mighty chuckle in a confident way. "Har har, there be no stopping us from the booty now. Lets give this door a proper hit as a team." Backing up to the wall for the last time, the houndoom was ready to put all of his effort into it with the others at the same time. "Now, lets pop this blasted door open." The dark hound said as he shouts out with the combined attack.

The Battle Castle [Foyer] | Late Afternoon
Cinder 78 | Faux 49
The hinges creaked and the door cracked under the force of the Pokemon but refused to fall. Seriously? Pokemon-proofing things was one thing but this door wasn't trying to keep anyone in or out. "The fuck man.." the Quilava cursed, huffing. The flames spouting from her form flared hotter with irritation. Looking it over again she could see that one of the screws from the top hinge had even popped out! Like, the hell, how was it still standing? "Lads and lasses, we should hit it at the same time. Maybe that way we be getting in." The Houndoom says, mimicking Faux's suggestion.
With a snort of smoke the Quilava stepped back a few feet. Nah, she was taking matters into her own paws right now. "Man I'm gonna blow this popsicle stand." Fire poured from her mouth as she took a familiar stance, paws wide and bosy low to the ground. There was no way in hell she was going to let a door best her! "Come get some!" she roared, charging forward as she curled into a ball and was engulfed by flames. For a moment it seems the door is going to stand, only making as noise as she impacts it but giving no head way. But with a swift, fluid motion Cinder lands, turns back, and strikes again it with another full force Flame Wheel. The door whined under the heat and force, the top hinge popping off completely while the bottom one was torn partially free. With a groan the door swings open at an awkward angle, held on only by the bottom hinge and ready to fall off if given the chance. As it moves the Quilava thumps to the floor, landing squarely on her hindpaws as the fire dies back. "Yeah, that's what I thought!" She barked triumphantly.
It takes a few moments before she is draw back to the matter at hand- the room was open now. The smell burst forward intensely, sickly sweet as its full potency is released. "Ah man.. that's such a-" but she's cut off as Faux leaps forward, sinking her teeth into the Quilava's shoulder and pulling her back out.
The Vulpix's pelt was fully spiked and her pupils huge. With the door now open its clear to see that at one point this room was a bustling kitchen. While pots and pans still liter the counters and stoves, and there is what looks to be the door to a larder in the back, Faux's brown eyes lock on something much more sinister. Crouched in a dark corner of the room is the unmistakable shape of undead that now stirred. Their red eyes all seemed to blink open at the same time.
"You imbecile!" Faux spat while never taking her eyes off the undead. "That wasn't food- it was pheromones." The undead let out low moans. They had all been sitting in a sort of pile, slowly decaying in the darkness, but now the were raising once more. Two.. two Vileplume.. so many Oddish, Glooms, and Bellossoms, and a..- Her paws moved back instinctively as the undead started to notice prey nearby. A massive Roserade, the leader?, staggered in front of them, thick dark nector pouring from its petals. "Fuck, fuck!" How could they be fooled so easily? Suddenly the scent of rot strikes her on top of the sickly scent smell. Together, its simply overwhelming and near gag-inducing. The Roserade turned its glowing red eyes too them, a haunted look in its gaze. It rose one arm, signalling its minions to strike. "Kill them, before they fully awaken!"

Battle Frontier | Afternoon l (85)(18)
Battle Frontier | Afternoon l (85)(18)
What a letdown!
It was one thing for the door to have the sheer nerve to not open, but it was another entirely that the dazed Eevee couldn't see the stars, moons, Torchic, or whatever the heck else lying TV programs depicted you saw after crashing into something head first.
Miyu made a face like an annoyed Feebas (a trait she most definitely got from Reb) and brooded away from the door, careful nobody saw her teetery steps.
"Man I'm gonna blow this popsicle stand." Uh oh. The Quilava's namesake flames spilled from her maw with her posture suggesting it was about to get real. Miyu watched starry-eyed, with her little teeth slowly parting and showing more as she grinned. If Miyu had been born bipedal and somehow had a pair of pom-poms, she would've been Cinder's cheering section.
"Come get some!" The starter stormed the door, balling up with fiery reinforcement to take out the door once and for all.
It again held it's place, but with a quick, powerful double-tap Flame Wheel, Cinder crashed the door's day. The top hinge was the first to go, snapping off in sync with the sound of the door's pained noises. It wasn't a sentient being, no, but Miyu was glad she had been born an Eevee and not a door - she could tell you that much!
The obstacle lurched forward, toppling into the room just barely held at such a strange angle by the weakly-grasping hinge on the bottom. "Yeah, that's what I thought!" Cinder said proudly as she landed without flaw before the door.
“Freakin' A!” Miyu cheered, bouncing in place.
The victory died short, Miyu's enthusiasm taking an early grave as she watched Faux launch herself at Cinder and very literally drag her away by the hide of her shoulder. “F-Faux,” Miyu murmured timidly, “why did you do that...?” She stared at the Vulpix's wide eyes, following them with her own into the room.
Miyu wasn't sure what to look at, it was just a shady room with pots and pans and-- she had to hold back a squeak as the shadowy blob suddenly sprung alive with sets and sets of fluorescent red eyes snapping open at once.
"You imbecile!" Faux snapped. "That wasn't food- it was pheromones." What was a ph-ph... feruhmone? Was that like a new undead power or somethi... Oh god. They were moving. What might've been a voice at some point was now nothing more than a dead moan. No matter how long you lived in the apocalypse, you never got comfortable with that noise.
Their cloudy undead minds were becoming more coherent, maybe scent or sound - Miyu didn't know - but they were aware of the group's presence now. There was almost a moment for the Eevee to freak out over the size difference between her and even the littlest Bellossom, but like many other things today, the moment was not on their side.
A concerningly large biped moved with a faulty gait in front of the mob of dead Grass-types. It almost looked like a human holding bouquets, but those burning red eyes and wretched scent told otherwise.
The Roserade directed it's comrades like some kind of undead colonel, giving the command with it's putrid arm to swarm.
"Kill them, before they fully awaken!" The Vulpix barked, but even so, Miyu hesitated. She had one long-range move and it was... Ice. Hidden Power.
Maybe I can hold off some of these leaf-heads.
The blue energy formed a tiny orb in front of her teeth, and within a moment, she whipped her head back and threw it.
((OoC - Skipping Rebel. Anyone can use the Hidden Power to their advantage if they'd like.<3))

Inside the Battle Castle | Afternoon
Etincelle 61 | Melanie 70
Well, that was not what he was expecting. Etincelle took a shocked step back, his short tail pressing closer into Melanie's chest fur. It was painfully easy to feel her body shaking, short breaths filling and leaving her lungs at a heightened pace. She's panicking? Undead were definitely panic worthy things but her reaction felt a bit too rough. Was it the scents? Had she maybe known there was something off about it but didn't know what? More questions spiraled around in the Electrike's head as the undead started to awaken but he had no time to humor them. "Kill them, before they fully awaken!" Faux yowled, initiating the others into combat.
Tensing his muscles Etin prepared himself to jump forward but stopped upon feeling Mel's hesitation. You have an advantage this time. It won't be like earlier, I promise. Rearing up the Electrike gently pressed his cranium against Melanie's throat. "You got this Mel," he whispered, getting a whimper back, "They are right ahead of you, just give them a Flame Burst!" Not wanting a repeat of the Cafe the small electric type bound a few steps away from her before giving a signalling bark.
The Ninetales took a deep breath in. This was insane! Fighting in the large space was pretty rough.. would she be able to manage a small one? Hell, at least the Empoleon had been a dark blur in a large room. What are we up against!? A rough swallow slowly trickles down her throat as she hears Etin's bark. There was no way she was going to harm him again. Or anyone for that matter. With another breath in the Ninetales let flames bubble up in the back of her throat. As long as she stayed calm it would be okay.
Please watch out. With a shaky step forward she short the fireball straight into the room, letting it whiz past Faux and explode against the back wall into a shower of flames. The blazing embers showered upon the plant Pokemon, making their undead moans much louder. Now illuminated by the light and rushing away from the heat the grass types were coming much faster. "Good shot Mel." Etin praised her but the Ninetales stood stiffly as the cries filled her ears.

For a pretty old, raggedy door, it sure did hold onto its hinges. Despite the relentless hits from the group, it rattled and somehow managed to continue clinging to its frame, which finally prompted the Houndoom to suggest hitting it together at the same time. "Lads and lasses, we should hit it at the same time. Maybe that way we be getting in." Rosko's confidence was certainly invigorating in its own way—it really did feel like a treasure hunt—and Mist found herself almost nodding with childish excitement. "Har har, there be no stopping us from the booty now. Lets give this door a proper hit as a team."
The Arbok joined in on their final assault against the door, making sure not to get into anyone's way as she slammed her tail's stub against the entrance, and with a great creak and grating noise the door slowly gave way. Ven excitedly propped himself up, relishing in the sweet scents that flooded from the new room. Oh—that zmells delizious—did ve hit jackpot—?"
"That wasn't food- it was pheromones. Fuck, fuck!" Oh dear. Mist flicked her tongue as she reared up, getting ready to enter battle. "Kill them, before they fully awaken!"
Mist wasted no time in helping her companion out, calling hurriedly behind her. "Melanie! They're all grass-types—Oddish, Glooms, Vileplumes, Bellossoms, and Roserade—you can do it!" Shortly after her words of encouragement the serpent whips around, threateningly fanning out her hood with a loud hiss against a few Bellossoms that drew near. The Golbat on her back slid down to one side of her hood, sweeping a Wing Attack towards any undead that tread too close.
Although hesitant, Mist let the gentle embers of fire spark in her mouth, soon engulfing her long fangs as she struck and bit one of the Bellossoms nearby, feeling its foliage body begin to burn into disgusting, pulp-filled sludge. She discarded the body quickly, almost retching at the awful taste left behind as she swung around to face the next infected. "How many of them even are there?!"

The Battle Castle [Foyer] | Late Afternoon
Cinder 79 | Faux 50
Cinder instantly knew which undead she was going to go after. The boss. Like a boss, of course. As the Roserade moved, sweeping its flowery hands this way and that, the Quilava pushed onto her back paws, stretching her spine to be as tall as possible. Even with her flames puffed up though she could not surpass it, the grass type being a truly massive example of its species. You wanna go, big boy? The Roserade did not seem interested in her display, continuing its strange 'dance' as though she was invisible. Snorting clouds of smoke from her nostrils the Quilava was not about to be ignored.
With a quick twist Cinder propelled a Swift right at the Bouquet Pokemon. The shimmery stars burst on its being in tons of little explosions that it could not disregarded. It turned, lowering its flowers hands as it stared at the Quilava with hate-filled red eyes. For a moment it was still, as though sizing up its opponent, then it took both hands and placed them against one another. "You wanna dance, eh?" The Quilava antagonized it, falling back to all fours for a quick dodge if needed.
The plant was not intimidated. With a sleazy grin it flung its arms out, showering the floor with jagged purple shapes. Cinder pressed her neck back, wanting a wider view while not being ready to take a retreating step. Spikes? Their dark color and shiny looks alluded to the toxic variety. Flicking her head toward the Roserade Cinder narrowed her brow, "You dick." Again she pushed onto her hindpaws, throwing her head back before throwing a Flamethrower at it. "Come on and fight me!" The stream of fire was fast but the undead had uncanny speed, nimbly evading with dancer-like grace.
"You think you-" she had started while falling back to all fours but Cinder did not look where she put her paws. One foot came down right on a spike, jabbing its toxin-filled tip deep in her pad. "Ff-oww!" Flailing the paw in pain her other brushed a spike, narrowly avoiding another jab but still unbalancing the fire type as shook to remove the first. Fuck fuck! Within moments she was a hobbled mess avoiding or hitting the spikes scattered around her. The distraction had been enough for it and the Roserade charged, easily skirting the spikes with its thin legs as it made a break for the Quilava. Cinder looked up, eyes panicked as she tried to build a fire ball in time. Luckily, another attack came bolting in, a blast of ice that scored its way across the Roserades head and cape. The grass type stopped in its wake, roaring as it shook the shock off. It turned its sights on the new aggressor, waving one arm first to get other grass types going before heading toward the Eevee.
Bloody hell. The Vulpix groaned and dashed to an open space as a Gloom charged her. It angled its flowery head toward her, ready to spray something she'd rather not experience at her, and Faux took the chance to douse it with a Flamethrower. Whatever spores the toxins the thing was about to shoot were instantly incinerated and the Glooms dead pussy skin was charred beneath it. It gurgled, short arms flailing, and was too caught up in the flames to notice the fox's glowing eyes. With a jerk of her head Faux send the wave of psychic energy through the Gloom, her Extrasensory bursting a fair portion of its rotten flower. It gave another gurgle before falling over completely still.
About to pick her next target the Vulpix is stopped as a fireball whizzes overhead, catching the very tips of Faux's ears as it flies past. A little lower and it would of struck her! Talk about friendly fire.. "Watch it!" She growled back, aware that they had a number of fire types with them. Even though her Flash Fire would of protected her it was still a pretty hostile gesture. Shaking out her pelt she pushed the feeling away and got back to the task at hand.

Battle Frontier | Afternoon l (86)(18)
Battle Frontier | Afternoon l (86)(18)
The walking, dead flower was feeling slightly colder than usual. If she had a moment, Miyu would've praised herself for actually landing a hit and slowing the masquerading bouquet down, but it was still much too close to Cinder for Miyu's comfort.
The Eevee, pretending to have bravado in the face of a flower from hell, put herself between the Quilava and Roserade. Her dainty paws were small enough to avoid the spikes with a bit of care; hopefully it would be as easy as time went on. “I got your back, Cinder. We ain't gonna lose to some rotten weeds, are we?” She didn't dare take her eyes off the Roserade as it brushed away the glowing ice from it's body, the initial stun from the move wearing off.
The Grass-type worked it's allies up as though it would send them for vengeance exclusively. Miyu could've spat that it was weak, but that clearly was not the case as the Roserade decided to settle a newfound vendetta against the fox itself.
Miyu watched the undead move closer, wondering if it's joints were stiff or something. It didn't seem like it with it's lithe steps, but it was moving awful slow.
And then there was no time to think. The Roserade moved with such speed and elegance, Miyu relied entirely on the instinct of a Pokémon. Miyu dropped to the floor and rolled to her side, avoiding the jab towards her chest. She didn't need broken ribs this early on...
The plant swung it's body around, cape flying as though it were some intricate dance. They faced each other again and struck at the same time - Miyu grappled for the cape, attempting to wrap it around those arms. The idea was short lived, as the Roserade landed a kick into Miyu's side, stealing the wind from her lungs and throwing her like a plush.
The Eevee never released her teeth's hold on the cape though, so as she flew backwards, the undead skidded across the floor with her.
Miyu breathed harshly, trying to regain her stolen breath until she felt her fur raise. Her paws shoved her back just before another spike came down where she just was, a sharp point aimed downward and sticking into the floor.

Etincelle gasped, backing himself into Melanie to force her back through the doorway. "Be careful," he warned the female but was loud enough for anyone listening to hear, "One of them just let loose some Toxic Spikes!" Even if she could dodge by sound or attack by scent the Ninetales stood no chance at dodging the ground cover. "you should stay back Mel, and attack from afar." He couldn't quite recall all of her moves but the one she had just used should be plenty enough.
"Watch it!" Faux snapped back at them, causing the Ninetales to give a noticeable flinch. Had.. had she hit one of her teammates again? No no no.. She shrank back, legs buckling till she was low to the floor and her many tails swamped around her. "You didn't hit anyone but the undead Mel, and they are feeling that heat!" Etin swiftly encouraged her but the pit was forming, a heavy weight deep in her stomach. Even if she only almost hit someone that means that.. they could of.. "I-I cant. I cant!" She chocked, panic rising in the back of her throat. What if she wasn't so lucky the next time, and were her attacks even helpful if she couldn't aim? "Melanie! They're all grass-types—Oddish, Glooms, Vileplumes, Bellossoms, and Roserade—you can do it!" Mist's voice breaks through the screaming of her self-doubt. "Grass types?" There wasn't a chance of another Hydro Pump to the muzzle? And they were all weak to her. "Y-yeah, yeah I can do it!"
Etin's short tail wagged, relishing in the serpents calming presence. Gently he pushed his paws against Mel's snout, angling her face for the right trajectory. "Give them another Mel, right there!" With wa quick nod the Ninetales was much more prompt, swinging her head back before letting loose a stream of fire right where the Electrike had pointed. The slow undead didn't stand a chance, turning to crisp chunks under Mel's Flamethrower. Even without sight she was amazing.
Undead roared and groaned, one making a sick crunch as it was tossed aside. "How many of them even are there?!" Mist puffed, a foul look on her face. "Not any more then we can handle." he barked back, trying to sound confident. They had the type advantage by far even if the enemy outnumbered them. As long as the swamped them with fire they had this in the bag. "Just keep them together; don't let any get out of this room!" He roared, sending a Thunderwave flying at the closest undead.

Despite her great reluctance, Mist managed to snap her Fire Fang right on a nearby Oddish. The pungent smell of burning grass and the taste of rotten vegetables infiltrated her mouth, and she nearly gagged as she spat out the undead. It wasn't long before she snapped up another—a Bellossom this time—in the heat of her maw. It wasn't long before the taste of rotten, burnt greens became the norm on her tongue; and she definitely didn't like it.
"Ff-oww!" Cinder's sudden yelp of pain alerted Mist's senses and the Arbok turned frantically toward her friend's cry. Out of the edge of her vision she could spot the dark purple spines littering the ground—toxic spikes.
Thankfully neither her nor Ven were affected by them—but that didn't mean the others weren't. With concern Mist glanced over to Melanie, and though relief flooded her that she had not yet been poisoned, she felt a great pride bubble inside her as she witnessed the Ninetales release another flamethrower against their opponents. Etin himself fought diligently beside her—all the while as he aided the fire-type.
"Not any more then we can handle. Just keep them together; don't let any get out of this room!" The confidence in his voice was enough to pump the serpent up—he was right, they're at the advantage!
But her own confidence didn't last so long—with a sudden sweeping flurry of Razor Leaves she felt the familiar weight on her back gone. "Ven—Ven?!"
The unlucky Golbat was overwhelmed by the barrage of leaves and, although he could barely feel any pain from the attack, the sheer force of the move knocked his cleanly off of Mist's hood. Ven floundered on the floor and frantically swung his wings in multiple consecutive Wing Attacks to ward off any nearby undead. Though effective to some degree, the crowd of Oddish that surrounded him were persistent. He could feel their feet stamp on his wings, and indignantly he flung his limbs.
"Help—help—!!" Ven choked out as he writhed under the horde. He wheezed, squinting his eyes against the sudden off cloud of dust—wait—"It's—it's—sleeping...powd..." with a weak heave he felt himself losing consciousness, falling into sleep.

The door came down, but the smell wasn't food as the scent was being masked behind something. "That wasn't food- it was pheromones. Fuck, fuck!" Looking in was a group of undead grass types and one of them was a poison type mixed in as well. "Kill them, before they fully awaken!" Rosko growled at the undead as he started snarl at them ready to strike at any minute. "They are right ahead of you, just give them a Flame Burst!" That would clear out most of the undead if they was surrounding her, but she would risk hitting the others by mistake. "Come on and fight me!" It wasn't long before the houndoom noticed the poisonous spikes on the floor. This seemed to be an attempt to poison and weaken them. "Watch it!" The Vulpix snaps at the Ninetails. It was to dangerous to be close together and the toxic spikes was making things harder for them.
Keeping his eye on the ground, the dark type had to make sure he didn't step on any of them. Them Bilge rattatas are getting clever, but they be at an disadvantage. The houndoom got into a good position to use his flamethrower. Unlike earlier with the undead houndoom that he roasted, he would have to break off in between attacks to let the other three fire types get shots in. "Melanie! They're all grass-types—Oddish, Glooms, Vileplumes, Bellossoms, and Roserade—you can do it!" Rosko used his flamethrower attack taking out two oddish and a gloom. Breaking off his flamethrower temporary to let the others get shots in. "Y-yeah, yeah I can do it!" Etin was guiding Melanie on where to attack at. Keeping his eye on the floor and the undead wasn't easy for him since his left eye was the only one he's able to see out of. "How many of them even are there?!" That was a good question which didn't seem to bad of an answer from Etin. "Not any more then we can handle. Just keep them together; don't let any get out of this room!" It seemed to be a focus fire on the undead that get close to the doorway. However one of the undead grass types attacked with a razor leaf. Leaves came flying at them as the houndoom got down. one of the leaves sliced a strand of his fur in half as a small hair floated to the ground. Until Mist's voice sounded in distress. "Ven—Ven?!" The Dark type looked around not seeing him near them. "Help—help—!!" Ven was under the undead and sounded like he's choking on something dusty until Ven was able to get most of it out before he started to lose consciousness "It's—it's—sleeping...powd..." Sleeping powder? Seems that they might be in trouble if they breathe that in.
The powder started inching its way towards them and Ven was in serious trouble. "Hang on Ven me lad I be coming!" There was only one way to get in there and that was to jump over the others into the room and it was a risky move. Rosko started to hold his breath and jumped over Melanie and Faux to save Ven. Fire started building up in Rosko's mouth as he entered the room with the undead in it. Using his tail to signal the others to increase his attack by using fire moves on him. The Houndoom laid by Ven to use himself as a shield against the fire. Looking out to the others he nodded to use their fire moves. He was preparing for a massive flamethrower and the others would give him the power to do so.
OoC)) I give permission to Cinder have her characters use flamethower and flame burst on Rosko to up his attack.

The Battle Castle [Foyer] | Late Afternoon
Cinder 80 | Faux 51
The Battle Castle [Foyer] | Late Afternoon
Cinder 80 | Faux 51
Fuck these spikes. Grateful for Miyu's distraction Cinder used the moment to regain herself. Digging the spikes out of her paws she blasted them away with a Swift before settling back onto all fours. “I got your back, Cinder. We ain't gonna lose to some rotten weeds, are we?” The Eevee cheered, physically using her body as a shield. "Yeah, who's got time to crumble under feed fodder? Let's teach 'em what fucking temperature control is." A twinge of pain breaks her smile as the Quilava winces. Fuck.. It was no surprise the poison had made it into her system but it was working its way through faster then she had thought. An undead cry turns her head as an Oddish stumbles forward. "Piss off," she growled before burning its rotten face with a Flamethrower.
When she flicked her head back Miyu and the Roserade had moved across the room, grappling with one another in close combat. A pain looked coated the Eevee's face and was enough to boil Cinder's inner fire. It had hurt her! "You're gonna regret that one you fuck." Her flames blazed, towering high above her blue-green fur as a ball of fire bubbled in the back of her throat. Blind rage fueled her -the fucker would pay!- and she charged forward as the Flame Wheel coated her body. Any spikes or pain is lost to her as she storms forward. It attacked Miyu, it attacked Miyu!
Leaping at the last moment the Quilava collided into the previously red-flowered arm with her full force. Fire seared over its woody stem and seared over the petals but the loud creaking screams over it. The resistance is only there for a moment and, with a loud snap, both the weasel and arm continue to fly froward until they smash against a counter.
A shower of embers fly off her form and extinguish into small puffs of smoke. The room swam as Cinder lay winded, pain searing along her side. Fucking.. thorns.. Hopefully that staggered it, hopefully that stopped it. Cinder's vision refused to come into focus, the poison pumping harder through her wounds. The Roserade shrieked in pain was it was still standing, it was still a threat to.. Miyu..
Faux grabbed a Bellossom by one of its head flowers and spun it around, letting go only after momentum had built enough to toss it across the room. "One of them just let loose some Toxic Spikes!" Etincelle warned but she only gave it a flick of the ear- she had already taken note of that and kept to any edges where it was clear. Giving the grass type a follow up Flamethrower the Vulpix froze at a cry, "Help—help—!!" Her head turns sharply and locks immediately on Ven's struggling form. "It's—it's—sleeping...powd..." Instinctively she shot a small burst of fire toward them. It caught the caught the top of the Oddish, sending it skittering away in pain, and blazed through some of but not all of the power. The bat fell still on the floor, the power that had entered his lungs taking effect, and said no more. Shit.
"Ven!" She called out in vein, bounding a few steps forward before being halted by Rosko's voice. "Hang on Ven me lad I be coming!" The Houndoom soared over the other Pokemon, shielding their fallen comrade with his comparatively towering form. His mouth opened, fire building up in the back of his throat as he tail lifted high, catching her attention has he gave a nod. Deja vu drifts through her head, twinging the tips of her fur, and the fox wastes no time sending another Flamethrower flying though this time it was aimed at her ally. I hope you know what you are doing. Holding that much raw power was uncomfortable at best. If the hound wasn't ready.. he might not be able to handle it. There isn't time. Rosko was already going for it and needed power now. "Cinder!" she scolded the groggy-eyed Quilava, "Snap out of it and give us some heat!"
The Quilava was slumped over with low flames, face screwed. Shaking her head weakly her vision still refused to focus but she gave a half-hearted Flamethrower in Rosko's direction anyway. However, it died out after a few moments as she was thrown into a smoky coughing fit.

Battle Frontier | Afternoon l (87)(19)
Battle Frontier | Afternoon l (87)(19)
Reflexes had done well enough so far, perhaps only by dumb luck and nothing else, but Miyu's body was not trained to fight; if her luck ran out and she had to rely purely on her ability to battle... She was gonna freakin' die.
Her cool began to slip slightly as she hurriedly formed a Hidden Power to hurl at the Roserade, but she was either not fortunate or focused enough for it to hit. The blue orb flew by the undead and shortly broke apart into raining shards of light.
Her thoughts, moving quick a minute ago with her next attack, slowed to nothing but the general repetition of "oh god," which one would tell themselves when they had no other conceivable idea.
The Grass-type's twisted, tooth-lined grin stared back at the small fox who was absolutely reluctant to turn her back and run. The distance between them would've been a lifeline, but Miyu cringed at the thought of not being able to see behind her, for it to catch her and string her up by her tail and tear into the entrails beneath her plush fur and flesh.
Miyu's body flattened to the ground with her tail snaking around her side. It's okay... It's okay... I can be like Rebel... It's okay...
Before the absolute worst came to be, a furious inferno and a series of paw stomps blazed straight at them and with a bound, Cinder crashed into the Bouquet undead. Fire washed over it like a wave over rocks, burning up it's petals as though they were simple garbage. Close enough, eh?
A cringe-worthy snap was heard a fraction of a second before the undead's arm severed from it's body and the lack of anything to hold her back sent Cinder - along with the arm - careening and crashing into the counter.
“C-Cin-der!” Miyu waited anxiously for the smoke to clear enough that she could trust her eyes, kneading her paws and semi forgetting the screeches of the Roserade. The visibility cleared to show Cinder painfully laying on her side, sending the once-frozen Eevee running. Miyu worriedly watched for her breathing, only letting out a relieved sigh as her chest rose and fell a few times. “Cinder! A-are you okay?” Miyu glared at the Roserade with enough venom to shut down it's muscles if things actually worked like that. “Tell me... that you-you're okay...”
"Cinder!" Only Faux could have that commanding tone. "Snap out of it and give us some heat!" Wh-what? Miyu stared at Cinder with tears starting to form in the corners of her eyes, the Quilava's features contorted as she leaned but Cinder still threw a Flamethrower in Rosko's direction. Miyu didn't question that, rather she glared bitterly at the Vulpix. “She's hurt, Fa-ux!” The Eevee snapped as the tepid Fire- move burnt out and sent Cinder into a harsh cough.
“Rest, okay, Cinder? I'm gonna kill that... leafy Satan... for hurting you.” Miyu was already nervous as the sentence left her lips. It went so well last time - sarcasm - so how in Arceus' name would she actually kill it?
The Roserade's side was spilled over with black, thick fluid pouring from where the arm should've been connected, but it was nothing more than an oozing wound now - which was pretty retch-worthy.
Miyu bounded with a purpose, her short legs picking up speed as she switched into a Quick Attack from a Tackle. She aimed at the Roserade's stomach and hopefully she could knock it for a loop long enough that she could end it. How - she did not know, but a good starting point would be the brain.
She had neglected to pay attention to anything except nailing the Grass-type with everything she had, leading her to notice a green force field form around her all too late to react. She skidded harshly but ended up hitting her face against the interior of it, holding her nose with her paw. Thing was, it didn't harm her aside from the impact... What kind of move...? “... Protect?”
A purple form blurred by her left, it's fur glowing the light hue of the Protect. “... Rebel!”
The poor guy couldn't sleep peacefully for five minutes. Five. Damn. Minutes.
Despite his obvious deadness, the Jolteon was perceptive. Well, yeah, and he also knew if they had actually found something that didn't have intent to slay them, Miyu would've ran back and woke him up anyways, so he was pretty sure shit hit the fan.
Aaaand he was right. Being a Jolteon of action and a biased ass, he sought out his sister - who was being stupid again - and captured her in a Protect before she ended up dead. She'd be pissed later, though.
Rebel charged the Roserade, as it seemed to be what Miyu was after and therefore it must've done something worth killing it for. Shoot first and ask questions later.
“Yo!” His pelt sparked with a Discharge, his arrogant smile not leaving his face. The Grass-type shot him a glance for a moment but quickly dismissed him. “Well, fuck you, too!” Was it because he was an undead also? What a prejudiced douchebag.
The electricity shot from his pelt with a crackle, some stray bolts moving along the floor but the bulk of it hit the undead, convulsing it and making more ooze shoot from it's stump arm. He gave a triumphant “Heh,” at himself, proudly pissing off the Roserade too. Talent.
Rebel sprung, shamelessly going for an easy kill while the thing was recovering from however many volts. But Miyu got her obliviousness and reckless nature from someone, of course. It took a minute for his deadened senses to realize it, but he charged through the Toxic Spikes and allowed them to tear his ankles and feet into poison laced gore. “Ah, shit. That hurt.” He was slightly nonchalant about it, looking at one held up paw as blood streamed to the floor.
“Rebel!!”
His stupid expression fell, looking to Miyu and then behind him. The Roserade's decent hand sprouted a black-purple vine and it was already too late to move. The thorns pierced his skin as the vine wrapped his face, burning like acid as the poison seared his cold flesh.
Rebel braced, biting his cheek and unable to see out his left eye. The moment wore on for just a bit, before the undead Grass-type whipped it's arm back and sent blood spraying from the thorn wounds. The final vine unwrapped and retracted, catching his eye and ripping it out of the socket with a pop.
The Jolteon's Protect fell as he did, clutching his empty eye and screaming. “You mother fucker! Christ, my fucking eye is gone!”
((OoC - Rebby, I love you, but you're only here for me to hurt you. I'm sorry. ;w; lol. The vine thing is based off Roserade's Dex entries, but if it doesn't work for any reason, let me knoooow~<3))

Inside the Battle Castle | Afternoon
Etincelle 63 | Melanie 72
Etincelle grappled with a Gloom that had gotten too close to Melanie, loathing the fact his Spark seemed to do less then his claws could. The electrical attack coated his shiny blue fur but, in comparison to the claws in the undead's eyes, he would of just been rubbing against it. The Gloom struggled, its bloom-shaped oozing a foul sap, but it could not shake the Electrike. Kicking off it Etin swiftly bound back to Melanie and angled her head down toward it. "Short blast!" He barks, taking a precautious step backward.
"Right!" She barked back with confidence. For a second crackling can be heard in the back of the females throat as the fire bubbles up from her inner ember. One of her ears twitches and the short Flamethrower streams foward, directly hitting the stumbling Gloom. The flames seemed to roar, searing over the undead instantly and doing more damage then what should of been possible. Awe coats the small hounds face as his short tail starts to wag. A critical hit! "Nice one, Mel! It didn't even stand a chance."
The excitement was short lived as two screeches came to the vulpine and canine's ears. "Ven—Ven?!" Both turn instinctively toward the sound, ears pointed and jaws agape. "Help—help—!!" "Ven!?" "Ven!?" They gasp in unison. "It's—it's—sleeping...powd..." With a follow up gasp the Ninetales forepaws buckled with fright and the Electrike tears forward. "No!" Was Ven being overwhelmed? He wouldn't be able to get away with that wing.. he needed help! Mel's ears twitch at each thump of Etin's paws as the Electrike paced in a small line, trying vainly to get past the menagerie of spikes that impeded his path. With every step he took it semed something new held him back. Between the eyes of the undead, the poisonous spikes, and the the kitchen that was being torn apart there was no clear path! "Hang on Ven me lad I be coming!" Rosko calls out, fling himself over all in his way while sending immediate relief soaring into both their hearts.
"Rosko's got him--!" He narrates for the Ninetales, utterly grateful for the large canine's swift action. If he was larger, with longer, stronger legs would be of been able to assist? Would this fight go more in their favor? Could he be more then a cannon launcher..? The Electrike stood with wide pink eyes and watched as Rosko gave a signal to his comrades. For what, he could not tell, but the Houndoom was clearly planning something the others needed to know about. "He.. he's.." Fire bubbled in the back of the Houndoom's throat as he charged an attack. Was he trying to end things? Oh legends does he want us to run!?
While he attempted to figure it out Faux was already moving into action and blasted a Flamethrower right at Rosko. "Faux!" He gapes, horrified the fox either being a traitor or had shit aim. However, she swiftly followed it with a demand, "Cinder! Snap out of it and give us some heat!" and it seemed the dark hound was not injured. Does he.. also have Flash Fire? As Cinder also gives a weak fire attack its clear to Etin that the swabby was not being harmed.
Excitement tingled in his paws, making it extra difficult to dart back to Mel's side without hitting a spike. Hopping onto her shoulders he had to make very sure both their aims were precise. "Mel, Mel we need another Flamethrower.. and give it everything you got!" Was this a safe plan? Would his friends end up with similar or worse burns then he did? The Ninetales back stiffens as she preps another Flamethrower. It was too late to stop. Hopefully the berries from earlier would suffice in saving them.. With a click of her teeth Melanie let free her trapped flames in an intense stream headed straight for Rosko.

Things are dark and muddled. Of course they are. He's asleep. A couple damn Oddish sprayed a whole heaping cloud of Sleeping Powder at him a few minutes ago before proceeding to use him like a rug.
From the far reaches of his unconscious mind, Ven could feel a single, clear emotion: humiliation.
Overpowered by fucking Oddish? Of course it's humiliating—Ven was a Golbat, he has a type advantage against them! But now here he is, trapped in the confines of his own mind from a quick blast of Sleeping Powder. This was useless. He is useless.
Ven can barely hear the commotion in the waking world as he tries to fight the sleep. He needs to—he needs to wake up—he can't just leave his friends fighting for their lives while he takes an Arceusdamned nap. He struggles, he struggles to pull away from this darkness but he's far from waking. He feels something warm—very warm—loom over him.
—-
"Hang on Ven me lad I be coming!" Following Rosko's course of action, Mist also flared her hood as she swept in closer towards Ven's unconscious body. Her hood acted as a makeshift shield towards some of the smaller undead, briskly flinging them aside with a snap of her body the moment they came too close to the Golbat and Houndoom.
Speaking of the Houndoom, Rosko was charging up an attack—a massive Flamethrower that she could feel the heat of from the brief distance she kept. He twitched his tail and with quick succession the others began to lend him his power—blasts upon blasts of fire from different individuals shot towards the canine and absorbed into his body with Flash Fire. Mist had a fire-type move too—but...
She hesitates. But she knows that Rosko'll need as much power as he can get, enough to incinerate all their foes. Mist gathers all the courage she could possibly muster, mumbling her apology beforehand. "Sorry—" She adjusts her body, flames licking her mouth as she lunges forward and bites into Rosko's shoulder with a Fire Fang.
[ooc: hdhkgd sorry for the crappy post, i'm really burnt out writing-wise lately... also lmk if i need to change anything!! i wanted Mist to also help out with powering Rosko up but since her attack is physical, it might be taken differently? let me know if that's not acceptable and i'll edit it out immediately!]

The Houndoom started waiting for the others to give him the strength he needed to release a massive flamethrower. It wasn't long before the Vulpix, Faux made the first move. The heat from the flamethrower had boosted Rosko's fire attack building up more heat inside his throat. "Cinder!" Faux called out to the Quilava as Rosko continued to watch closely for any attacks. "Snap out of it and give us some heat!" The Dark hound had felt more heat building up and it was from the Quilava this time. It wasn't enough he needed more to take them all out with a single sweep. An undead Roserade launched a vine barely missing Rosko's leg and a yell came from behind. It was Rebel's scream. “You mother fucker! Christ, my fucking eye is gone!” The vine retracts back toward the roserade and blood was on the tip of it. It had hit Rebel's eye and it was enough to focus his attack on the roserade first then the rest of them.
Another voice had spoken and it was Etin giving Mel a command to give Rosko more power. "Mel, Mel we need another Flamethrower.. and give it everything you got!" Another fire attack had hit Rosko increasing his fire attack yet again. Then he looked over briefly seeing the Arbok, Mist coming over towards his side. Looking back at the Roserade waiting for another attack, the Arbok however spoke to him with an apology. "Sorry—" A flaming bite sinks into Rosko's shoulder, instead of harming the hound it just made him stronger and gave him enough power to finish this once and for all.
licks of flames started to escape Rosko's mouth as the powered up flamethrower was ready to erupt and wipe out the undead. The dark type tilts his head back and turns it to his left. He releases it and intense flames came bursting out as he fanned it from left to right incinerating any undead in its path. As he moved his head towards the right, sleep powder was released again as Rosko burns the Roserade into nothing more than a flaming husk. Finally ending it with the last undead burning away into nothing. Rosko took a deep breath trying to get some air back in his lungs, but he breathed in the sleep powder. "Take that....ye...bilge...rattatas." The Houndoom was getting drowsy, but at least he eliminated the threat. He used the last of his strength to gently place Ven onto Mist and jump out of the room. Afterwards he laid down out in the hall a bit away from the spikes. The sleep powder had taken its effect, but before he was to sleep it off, he spoke to the Jolteon. "Now..ye be...a pirate...too lad." After that he fell asleep from the powder.

OoC)) Fire fang won't damage anything with flash fire due to it being a fire move and it voids out the physical move. Tested it out myself and it will not do any damage to anything with the flash fire ability.

The Battle Castle [Foyer] | Late Afternoon
Cinder 81 | Faux 52
“C-Cin-der! Cinder! A-are you okay?” Miyu's voice cracked through her daze like lightening. “Tell me... that you-you're okay...” Well, everything hurt, the poison from this shit bag was definitely potent, and its thorns were fucking sharp. Dont tell her that. Flexing her jaw the Quilava tried to speak but instead she just gagged up a thick clot of blood and smoke mixed into one. That last flamethrower had probably been a bad idea but fuck if she was about to let her teammates down. “She's hurt, Fa-ux!” It took a massive effort just to force a smile on to her muzzle and place one paw against her aching head but she did it anyway. She couldn't worry the Eevee. Not now, not when things were so delicate. The hell do I do now?
With another hard cough the Quilava forced her eyes to open and wheezes, "I'll be okay.. couldn't let.. that thing get ya now, could I?" By the look of it Miyu was safe and that made it totally worth it. Hell, her own arm could of come off and it would of been worth it. “Rest, okay, Cinder? I'm gonna kill that... leafy Satan... for hurting you.” The Eevee sprinted away but there was something in her voice, something to her tone that worried the fire type like none less. Don't do anything stupid. Everything was fuzzy, her head, her sight, income words. With quivering legs the Quilava tried to push herself back onto her paws but it was no good, they gave out on her every time. Fuck me..
Try as she might Cinder knew she would be downed for the moment. Dammit all. What if it got Miyu hurt while she was incapacitated? That thing was bound to be fucking pissed after having its arm tore off. What if it took it out on her..? Taking in deep, labored breaths the Quilava's vision slowly returned to normal and her senses evened out. Not only could she now feel the blood oozing from her pelt but she could see the shit her teammates were dealing with. Was that Ven u-“Rebel!!” The Eevee's shriek breaks the small bit of concentration she had gathered, sending her gaze flying over to the- “You mother fucker! Christ, my fucking eye is gone!” Cinder's eyes widened with horror, disturbing a wound above one sphere until it spurt blood into her eye. Oh gods.. Placing her paws firmly against the floor she pressed, forcing herself to stand on weary hindpaws. "Im com-.." Only one step in she fell over once more into a slump of fur. "I'll.. hold on..- fuck.." Why'd couldn't she just get it together...
The Vulpix curled her claws against the tile floor. The Houndoom was preparing to end things, that much was clear, but that didn't mean everyone was ready for it. Once everyone had given him their power they would only have moments before he would be forced to let it go. "Everyone!" She roared, smoke trialing with her hurried words, "Into the hall, quickly!" Turning on her paws Faux bound for the door. Keeping her dainty feet clear from any trialing spikes she froze with realization only feet from the doorways safety. "Fucking hell.." she cursed beneath her breath, harrowing back across the kitchen.
Most her team could scurry away but there was one who was lying down on the job. "Cinder!" She barked, hoping for any kind of response, but the Quilava was struggling to even support her own weight. Dashing as fast as her paws would allow the Vulpix soared over the ground, reaching the Quilava just in time. Lying close over her and fanning out her tails she covered the starer as best she could as the hound released his boosted end-all.
Fire seared over everything in sight. With a slow sweep the Houndoom meticulously covered all open space. The flames roared and hissed, turning the organic undead to not but ash and soot. Those that could still make noises screamed, the sound quickly growing shrill and gurgled as the host was lost. Within moments the air grew thick with black smoke and depleted itself of oxygen. Harsh orange light glistened on the tile, metal, and ceramic material covering the room. Mixed with the blaze's glare it was a truly blinding sight.
Faux could feel the fire starting to sear her fur. Every synapse of her brain screamed to run, that staying in something so powerful was a death sentence. It may not of wounded her but the overpowered attack was the last thing from comfortable, a stabbing, stinging sensation both inside and out. Each strand of hair tingles, snuffing out the flames as they absorbed them. Her inner flame blazed, ready to strike back with fury and itching the Vulpix to move, but she held her ground. It felt like forever before all the flames died back. The choking smoke remained, a thick blinding cloud that was slow to vanish. Without the crackling of the fires the room fell silent. It was over.
"Cinder." The Vulpix grunted through searing lungs. The Quilava's eyes blinked opened, scanning what little they could see. Is it over? Her skin fur felt hot and crisp. Her typing saved her from any serious burns but she had definitely taken some hits from that. Though it was nothing like what she could of been hit with had it not been for Faux. Taking in a deep breath, and ignoring the sting from the smoke, she sighed, "Thanks Faux." Picking her way off the Quilava Faux grabbed the weasel's scruff and pulled, bringing her to her paws that she could barely stand on. "Use my shoulder." She instructs, and without the energy to argue Cinder obliged. Near falling onto the Vulpix, and with a small cringe from the fox, the pair slowly made their way to the hall.
A bone-chilling nose bounced against the Quilava's ear fur. Sliding her eyes sideways the golden orbs catch sight of something that should of been dead- the Roserade. The creature was on its knees, supported by its one arm. Every inch of its rotten body was coal black, leaving it as no more then a dry husk of soot. A faint hiss like a dry breeze puffed from its dead mouth, its one arm slowly inching upward, trembling frighteningly hard. Fire was already balling in the back of her throat. Ignoring her exhaustion she was prepared to strike it once more, but before she even had the chance to spit the blaze the undead gave a small crink and froze. A heartbeat later it collapsed and its body literally fell to pieces upon the tile floor. When it gave no further movement or sound the Quilava looked away and continued forward.
As soon as they reached carpet the starter pealed away from her support and flopped onto the carpet. Her vision had grown hazy, the weariness exasperated by the walk, but she could see the Houndoom was not doing well. "Now..ye be...a pirate...too lad." He grunted, crumpling to the floor. Padding closer to the hound Faux nodded, saying softly, "Rest easy, Captain. You've earned it." A soft grin spread across the Quilava's face. They were lucky; that could of gone a lot worse then it did. With each heavy breath her wounds pulsed with a new vigor, near bringing tears of pain to her eyes. "Miyu," She wheezed, the words breaking up with each inhale. "What kind of.. berries did.. you get.. again?" Anything would be appreciated but by the looks of her group they could really use a few in particular.

Battle Frontier | Afternoon l (88)(20)
Battle Frontier | Afternoon l (88)(20)
The Eevee bounded to Rebel's side in his aid, but his sparking form prohibited her to get horribly close. His shouts died down to little more than agonized growls and delayed breaths as though he were trying to suffocate himself to take the attention off his lacking eye socket.
His body shot off more bolts and his pelt spiked into needles as an involuntarily defense.
“Rebel...” Miyu murmured gently, careful to hide the panic lacing her mind, “You're okay... You're too strong for this to hurt that much.”
He didn't form words but the tiny voice soothed his sharp fur to flatten. Miyu braved the electric shocks flying, narrowly being missed by sheer luck as she approached and curled against the Jolteon.
It wasn't the best time to cuddle, but she could do little more than comfort him at this point.
Her fur rose up from static electricity built in his body, her toes flexing from the mild shocks' effect on her nerves.
"Into the hall, quickly!" Not only Faux, but everyone was trying for the exit. What? Was something worse there, was the building collapsing, was there a bomb strapped to the Roserade?!
Miyu frantically tried to make sense of things before realizing the ebony hound was not only going to attack, but cremate everything in the path of his flames. “H-holy smokes,” Miyu gasped, “Reb, bud, you gotta get up... You gotta move.” His sides heaved faster, seeming as though he had in fact heard her. Seconds ticked, but he didn't move. “Rebel, get up! We're gonna get killed if you don't move!”
One bloodied foot picked up from his face, moving in front of him slowly. Miyu's heart soared; he was getting up! He was gonna--
Faster than she could avoid it, his leg swung backwards and collided with her face, knocking her backwards and onto her butt. “Rebe--” She began to snap with reason, until his neck lifted from the floor and twisted to look at her. “Oh god...”
His expression was twisted and Miyu genuinely forgot her brother was underneath the blood for just an instant. Rebel's mouth was parted and moving ominously with each breath, his reddish-stained teeth showing like a caged animal.
His eye was the worst without argument. Without his eyeball, the inner socket was unseeable, just pure darkness. The muscles meant to move his eye were stretched and snapped, the leftovers that were left attached hung onto his cheek in varying lengths. Blood pooled in the bottom of the empty space, splashing and pouring down if he moved too sharply on an inhale.
While one eye was in fact gone, he was not entirely blind. The fright in Miyu's face was enough to will him not to move. “Get away from me,” he rasped, turning his face away.
“What?” She stared almost cross-eyed. “No, you're getting up right now!” She headbutted him, pressing her nose under his foreleg and sliding underneath his chest. “Get! Up! I just got your stupid self back and you're gonna roll over now?! No! No way!”
She was entirely aware she wasn't strong enough to lift him, and the fact he was starting to stand was proof enough he wasn't ready to die. Not again. “Keep your eyes--” She bit her tongue. “Shut. Just walk, I'll lead you to the door.”
Rebel's legs were wobbly and he stumbled more than once, but they reached the corridor successfully, just seconds before a blaze of disastrous magnitude swept the room, but luckily it was on their side.
With Miyu's promise they had made it, the Joltie's front legs slid ahead of him and he hit the floor, Miyu barely backing from under him before she got squished. Ugh, she should've caught him... She could've slammed her face in the wall for that one. “Cinder, are you holding up okay?” Miyu turned, looking for the Quilava. “Cin... der...?” Where did she go? Faux had gotten her out, right? They were together, Faux got her out, right?!
The hall was lacking a fiery Quilava and ever-serious Vulpix as the flames continued their rampage through the one-was kitchen. “Please, please, please, Legends... Let them be okay, they gotta be okay...” She parted from the Jolteon's side to stare into the inferno, berating herself mentally. --If something happens to either of them...
The blinding light faded to polar opposite black smoke, the eerie silence that was almost a dream just a short while ago extremely unnerving. No screaming, no attacks flying, it was just... quiet. Almost mournful.
“Cinder? Faux...!” Miyu called hushedly. She was answered with a sound she knew all too well by this point. Her blood froze. Expectations went out the window as she waited for Rebel to burst onto the scene, fight again and get knighted, but he made no effort to get up.
Miyu crouched low, putting her chin against the carpet and watching through the doorframe. Smoke rose, right?
Before she could get overly excited at the sight of eight paws - cream and rust - Miyu was unfortunate enough to witness the Roserade's mangled, charred body quake disturbingly before all motion stopped like someone hit pause on a movie. And like a brutal scene on a cartoon, the burnt up Pokémon's body tumbled forward and shattered, splaying across the ground. It was a passing thought if someone came here after they did, if they'd think it was normal ash. Would they realize the fight that had took place?
Miyu cleared back a respectable distance, her tail lashing excitedly like a puppy as Cinder and Faux finally joined them. The Quilava dropped to the floor immediately, followed by Rosko afterwards. "Now..ye be...a pirate...too lad." The Houndoom drawled, quickly dozing.
Rebel showed no response, which was very troubling. If anyone knew him, they'd know he could and would fire sass at someone for simply saying ‘Good Morning.’
The Eevee rushed to his side, holding her foot on his ribs to feel him move at her touch. It was gentler than screaming in his ear at least, and more comforting to her to know he was still aware she was there.
"Miyu," Cinder's voice was a dagger to the heart as the syllables broke with each breath, added that she was calling Miyu, the Eevee could only pray she could serve whatever her friend needed as she sprinted to the Quilava. “I'm here, Cinder, what is it?”
"What kind of.. berries did.. you get.. again?" Berries, berries... They.. they were... Miyu's words hitched before they even left her lips, staring at her own paws as to avoid seeing everyone's disappointment. “I... I'm sure there's something that'll help. Let me go grab them, okay? It's a heckuva walk, I'll run there and back in a split.”
Just low enough for Reb not to hear, she asked of anyone listening; “Please don't let anything get Reb... He's a jerk, but he isn't bad...” Without a wasted moment, she shot off with another Quick Attack.
Returning was a lot faster than the first trip, she had returned sooner than expected. The berries lay where they were left, fortunately. Out of the bad events recently, the safety of even some berries was something to smile at.
She could identify some berries - some - by name but she had no clue what any did medicinally. Miyu paced around the pile of spoils, fretting over what to do now that she'd made it.
Ugh. She didn't have time for this either, the others needed help! Pondering momentarily, her quickest option, while not pretty, was to take the branch from one pile and... stab two of each kind onto the stick if she had them; there was just a single of some of the berries, but they were to be brought also. The fox struggled for a moment, but she was racing back with a berry shish kabob in her teeth before horribly long.
She nearly skidded past the others upon reaching them. Laying down the berries, Miyu panted with her nose angled at the floor. “Here's a few of everything... I-if they don't help everyone, I'll find something that will!”
((OoC - I left the berry types ambiguous so if someone wants to help their character, they can. ^^ Side note: I looked up several medical things for this post. Bruh. I'm traumatized omgaah... ._. lol))

The Electrike panted, panic quickening his pulse, as horror plastered itself to his face. “You mother fucker! Christ, my fucking eye is gone!” Pain etched its way into his own skull, pressure building around his eye. Legends.. The undead was sick, it didn't try to kill him.. just make him suffer! "Rebel!?" Mel gasped beneath him, ears flicking at the sounds of agony. Miyu dashed up to him, vainly trying to get past the electrical blasts coming from his sharp pelt. The poor girl.. Memories ripped though Etincelle's mind unannounced. He had seen so many Eevee's in his travels that he no longer made the connection, but seeing the young female next to the struggling Jolteon... Arenea.. Father.. His head tilts away, unable to hold the sight.
Pain clamped around the Electrike's heart. Would no one help a suffering comrade just because he was undead..? His shocks wouldn't hurt me. Clambering down from Mel's shoulders the Electrike bound forward, desperate to help the eeveelution pair in any way he could.
He did not make it far before an alarm call was made. "Everyone! Into the hall, quickly!" Was something happening? His gaze fell to Faux and followed her line of sight across the room to... Rosko! Flames blazed in his maw, ready to come to life before them. Oh no.. he's going to bring the room down! In an instant Etin's paws fell still on the floor, heavy like great stones sank in mud. Rosko's blast on top of his already healing burn would cause irreparable damage. What do I do? The others were starting to flee but he remained rooted and unsure, eyes fixated on the downed Jolteon. His small size was normally a moot point but suddenly he felt minuscule, too weak and tiny to be of any use to anyone. Just like with dad..
The Jolteon was starting to rise, his progress slow but assured as he started to make his way to the halls with the Eevee's valiant assistance. Time seemed to slow, the Joltie's movement all he could focus on. He hadn't been able to help Astrapi and now he did little more then look on like a bystander as the painful recount petrified him. As Rebel's paws neared the threshold, his own feet lightened with hope, nearly movable when the sound of flames wrecked his ears.
He couldn't linger on petty thoughts any longer. Fire and smoke billowed throughout the room into a cloud of darkness. The thick smoke blinded him, stinging his eyes closed as heat seared his pelt. The world spun, he felt like he was falling as pain spread through the back of his neck. How badly had he been hit this time..? Any attempt to squeeze his eyes open was met with sharp pain and tears, his paws kicking and failing but finding no ground. Must I live in deja vu? The healing burn twinged, unable to registrar any damage as everything fell into a spiral of confusion. He hadn't helped Rebel or even heeded Faux's warning.. "Etincelle!" The Ninetale's voice sounded so close, so soothing to his drowning mind. At least this time.. she wont feel guilty..
There was still no surface to alleviate his churning paws, no stable light for his disorientation. Had the floor given out..? "I've got you. I've got you!" The pain left his neck and the falling sensation faded as a surface crept up on his side. "Etin, Etincelle are you alright?" Her voice grew more sharp, more frightened, but ever closer to his clouted ears. A paw rubbed his side, encouraging his eyes to peek open. Was something looking to make a meal..?
While they ached from smoke no fresh pain came to his eyes and allowed his vision to even. "Mel..?" he coughed, his throat tight. Blinking the fluid form his eyes the Electrike could see he had made it to the hall. The previous room was no longer visible; thick smoke was rushing out of the doorway and up toward the ceiling like a makeshift wall. But I didn't make it out..? "Etincelle!" Her voice growing more grave, the paw giving him a hard shake before pulling away. "You scared me half to death!" Struggling to his paws the electric type gave himself a hard shake, ash falling from his pelt. Mel paced before him, bloody pawprints coated the ground where she stepped, and she panted hard with each step. "Mel, Mel your paws you--" He had been so careful. How had she hurt herself unless- She braved the spikes.. for me..?
Though he breathed only a little smoke his words came out somewhat hoarse. "I'm fine. I'm fine," he near sobbed, nestling his snout against her chest, "Thanks to you, Mel.." Her pacing ceased, an exasperated, relieved sigh puffing out of her muzzle as she started to lick Etincelle's smoky fur. That was twice she had saved him, twice he was indebted to such a l- “Cinder? Faux...!” Miyu's voice broke his fawning daze. Both she and Rebel were in the hall, no worse for wear then they had been in the death room. Oh thank Arceus. Arenea's loss started to fade into relief. Everything was going to be okay. They undead were gone and-- A heavy thump spooks him, unexpected as the weasel and fox pair stumble in. How out of it was he..? It was just a little smoke. But Im no fire type.
Any self-pity died on his lips as the Quilava choked out a sentence. "Miyu.. What kind of.. berries did.. you get.. again?" What was she talking about? Berries? Oh, yeah yeah, the food! Etin winced at his slow thoughts. They had berries waiting for them back in the foyer. They had medical supplies waiting to nurse their wounds. Certainly there were Pecha's, right? They were fairly common back home, but here? Only Arceus knew. “I... I'm sure there's something that'll help. Let me go grab them, okay? It's a heckuva walk, I'll run there and back in a split.” His chest tightens even further as the Eevee leaves his sight. He would see her again, something he couldn't wholefully say for his sister, but the sight of her leaving was too much to bear. Sinking closer to the floor the Electrike slowed his breathing, taking in as much air as he could to hopefully clear his head as they awaited her return.

Amidst the chaos and Mist's overwhelming panic, the Vulpix's words were lost. "Everyone!" The Arbok could barely hear her own internal voice at this point—was that Faux? "Into the hall, quickly!"
The moment she felt the flames of what she assumed was hell itself spew from Rosko's mouth, Mist snapped herself away and out of the fire's trajectory. It was definitely impressive—the heat was extraordinary and the Arbok had to squint to even see the vague silhouettes of their enemies through the fire. She contorted away from the blazing heat and as much towards the doorway as she could. She swore to Arceus if she hadn't moved away in that moment she probably would've gotten half-cooked, or at least her whole hood seared off.
Mist sidewinded to the doorway but hesitated, her eyes fully locked on the body of the Golbat beneath Rosko that she was unable to save with the sudden coming of fire. "Ven—!!" she choked out. It wasn't long before the fire sizzled away, the smell of burning suffocating, but with the lasts of his strength the Houndoom pulled through. When he brought Ven she didn't stop for a moment, fanning her hood out to accommodate the bat's body on her. She followed the canine straight out of the doorway, heaving for air.
Her breathing was slow and laboured. Each revolution of air was clearly audible—raspy and concerning—as she wobbled in the hallway. Mist was struggling to keep herself level so Ven does not fall off, swaying dangerously with each exhale. Her eyes were dull and almost clouded, lower jaw hanging loosely open as if she couldn't muster the energy to keep it closed. She was barely paying attention, no, she couldn't pay attention. It felt like the world was far, far away from her. It felt like she wasn't really there.
She hadn't even noticed that the Eevee had run off, but she the little fox came back branches of fruit, Mist gave the subtlest turn of head. “Here's a few of everything... I-if they don't help everyone, I'll find something that will!”
"Ch...esto..." Mist rasped as she gestured vaguely to the top of her hood—Ven. She barely sounded coherent; her words sounded forced through her air pipes. "Pl...ease..."

The Battle Castle [Foyer] | Late Afternoon
Cinder 82 | Faux 53
Cinder forced a smile as the Eevee approached. It wasn't like Miyu couldn't already tell she struggling but she might as well cover up what pain she could. The kit choked on her own words, clearly distressed as she tried to answer steadily. “I... I'm sure there's something that'll help. Let me go grab them, okay? It's a heckuva walk, I'll run there and back in a split.” "Anything'll help.. You can do it, Miyu." As soon as the youth turned Cinder let the expression fade to suck in more air without the added stress. Oran's were the most common berry she could think of. Chances were the Eevee found some. Even if the others they needed were absent those alone would do her team a world of good.
Faux gave her pelt a hard shake and sent a shower of ashes skittering around her. “Please don't let anything get Reb... He's a jerk, but he isn't bad...” The voice was small, and the source left not a moment after in a stream of light. The Jolteon had collapsed and was staining the carpet with multiple wounds oozing dark blood. That could mean trouble. Many if not all of them were wounded and infected blood was a high risk factor for getting the virus. With a deep breath in and a quiet sigh Faux looked back into the room and strained her ears for any incoming sounds. Other then the crackling of remaining flames and charred bodies it was quiet- it was clear. Nothing will get him. Never would she of thought she'd be fighting alongside an undead but he had proved himself trustworthy multiple times and deserved to have that faith returned.
Only a handful of minutes passed before Miyu came sprint back but Cinder could already feel her breath returning. For a fire type this is pathetic. Smoke had never been much of a problem for her so hopefully it was only the wounds laboring her. Miyu's paws drummed the hall and dug deep into the carpet as she forced a rough stop to her dash. Placing her shipment gently on the floor she panted, “Here's a few of everything... I-if they don't help everyone, I'll find something that will!” Rolling herself from her side into all fours Cinder gently pawed at the display. She was still pretty lightheaded and couldn't recall all the names immediately but two fell from her tongue without a second thought, "Orans and Pechas.. thank Ho-oh." Clawing them off the stick she let the berries roll to the floor. Instinct told her to devour them as fast as possible but all the looming eyes and deep pants kept such feelings at bay. Everyone needs them. Even if they had more off in the foyer it was unfair to make Miyu run all that way and back again, let alone in such conditions.
Looking between the injured Pokemon she really didn't to be the factor that brought them succor or not. Her teeth clenched as poison pulsed through her veins. Poison will take them. That needed to be taken care of immediately. Looking around the room she had no idea who had been poisoned and who hadn't.. Another wave of pain nearly brought tears to her eyes. With one paw she pushed the berries away from herself. "Miyu, can you take one of these pink ones to Mel?" Faux padded closer, gently pawing tiny green ones off the branch. "Etin will need these." Letting her eyes focus on the tiny things Cinder recognized the Rawst berries. Burns? She hadn't even thought about that. Dealing with fire just came naturally but some of her team wasn't that lucky. Gods Im heartless.
Looking back at the Eevee she pushed the remaining berries even further away with wide eyes. A small jab of pain travels up her arm from her sliced paws but she does her best to ignore it. "Take whatever you need. I-I'll go get more from the pile if anyone needs anything else." If everyone needed help them she would take their supplies last.
Dumping the small green berries by the Electrike Faux padded back toward the branch when Mist wheezed, "Ch...esto... Pl...ease..." Being honest with herself it had been many years since Chesto's were ever a priority. The last thing she can recall relating to them were the trees back at the ranch. Even then, she had never really gone over there as they had been out of season at the time. Gripping the stick loosely in her teeth the Vulpix padded over to sleeping Pokemon and distraught serpent. Chesto's were blue, she could remember that, so hopefully they were in luck. Placing the stick back down she pointed toward the other blue berries that had been skewered. "It's been some time. These are Chestos, yes?" If not, the sleep wasn't fatal. The pair would wake up eventually though being dragged about probably wouldn't fancy them.

Battle Frontier | Late Afternoon l (89)(21)
Battle Frontier | Late Afternoon l (89)(21)
She really wished she knew a wizard or some magical being with the ability to temporarily split her into separate forms. She wanted to be all over the place at once, like some type of video game medic NPC. Miyu hung by Cinder while keeping a check on Rebel; he wasn't moving much and his wounds didn't seem to be clotting yet.
"Miyu, can you take one of these pink ones to Mel?" The Eevee blinked, with it arguable whether she was staring at the berry Cinder gestured to or beyond it into some alien dimension. “Yeah, I got it,” she answered, biting into the stem and angling her body towards Mel.
“Hey, Mel.” Miyu's dainty paws approached the Ninetales gently, placing the berry softly in front of her paws. “Cinder asked me to give you this berry. Are you two doing okay?”
The Jolteon's vision swam. In front of him was a hall that seemed to stretch beyond time. He'd never make that walk, hell, he barely made it out of the kitchen before they got char broiled. That might've been nice, it was really, really cold now... It wasn't like that before, was it? His body began to shiver slightly. They talked about the weather earlier, what did Faux say? Was that earlier? Had it become Winter already?
Saliva formed in his maw abnormally, dripping out of his agape lips and soaking into the carpet around where his face lay. His eye moved around the walls, watching something that didn't seem to be there. Rebel's attention eventually went to nothing, his lids sliding down and his breathing slowing. It was black now.
((OoC - He isn't dying lol, he just got a dose of poison too and passed out. Since he's an undead, I imagine his body won't fight off the effects correctly. He saw himself get into the spikes, but he won't remember that and I don't want him or Miyu to know what's wrong lol. I want him to suffer like hell for a while; when he recovers and realizes he wasn't abandoned or killed, he'll start to trust and try to help everyone. \o/ I just enjoy his funny interactions with everyone too much for him to be a selfish douchebag forever lol.
This post is shorter than usual... I could've sworn it was decent sized, but I've never posted from my iPad and it lied lol.))
