History | Tony was born in to a Seadra father and a beautiful Dragonair mother, and from the beginning he was different. His mind worked in a way that baffled his mother as she raised him, often times turning to his father for help. He got into trouble and tore things apart before she could stop hi, but when her father urged her to leave him be...he would more often than not put the simple mechanics back together again afterwards. His father, Howard Stark, took a great interest in his son then. The Seadra had a job, chosen due to his intelligence, he belonged to a scientist working on multiple complicated projects at once with a team of other scientists, more often than not working to develop serums for strength or just advances for humanity and Pokemon alike. While Howard lacked hands to do much work, he was able to read and point out mistakes of the employees to his trainer. At the show of brilliance from his son, the Seadra couldn't have been prouder. No longer leaving Tony at home, he took the Dratini with him every time they left for the labs. His trainer never questioned it because he trusted the Seadra, a life long companion and wise enough not to bring a child who would ruin their projects. Tony was awed the first time seeing the monsters of flashing lights and blimping numbers everywhere, as well as vials and strange liquids on counters. But instead of feeling frightened, his eyes glowed brighter than ever before. Asking his father questions about everything, the youth started a beautiful life with his calling. In the years that followed he was taught everything by his father ad the scientists. He realised how easy it was for his father to pick up on thing just from watching and observing constantly and it was a combination of this and being taught by his father that he was able to read complicated human words and numbers flawlessly. His life was not a exciting on in the beginning, growing into adulthood beside his father, and even evolving later on as well. Though an intellect at heart, he still did moderate training on his own to raise his strength slowly over time. But when hitting early adulthood, the relationship with his father suddenly changed. The scientists discovered something new ad the Seadra grew frustrated, taking it out on Tony and forcing him to be kept from the labs for long periods of time. Months turned into years and the Dragonair was forced to do his own research on his own time. However it was all cut abruptly when, during a drive home, there was a car crash, and it was the rare day every several months where Howard took his mate Maria to spend the day with him. Both his family and his trainer were killed by the head first collision. Devastated, he was suddenly alone. The women second in command took over their research with a heavy heart, adopting the orphaned Dragonair in the process. He knew her well, the woman called Pepper Pots, but he did not show her affection. He was alone. Growing bitter and raged at his fathers coldness up to death, he abandoned the name Tony and reacted aggressively to anyone who challenged it, only responding to Stark. Stark was a family name, a name he could go by and bring pride to. Even when brought back to work at the labs in the Seadra's place, he remained bitter at his father's behavior. Years passed that turned into decades, working alone in the labs with his human co-workers. They made many discoveries and advances, but nothing life changing. The life was not boring, but it was unfulfilling to Stark. Many years passed and he was treated the best, given all he asked for and kept the slacking scientists on work, but it was not enough. Pepper treated him well, but the human could not change the bitter attitude that seemed permanent, him reacting coldly and with sarcasm to any Pokemon they attempted to choose as a companion. After a while they gave up, and Stark was content with that. However life took a turn for the worst when strange gossip popped up. Stark heard through his human's friends, the women warning Pepper to rid of the Dragonair before he turned on her. She refused, blatantly disregarding the rumors, and earning Stark's respect. And it was several normal work days at the lab before they it happened. Started as a normal day, deep in the building the room of computers and viles of chemicals were unchanged. Pepper had to pick up paperwork and left Stark with the others as she walked out of the code encrypted room. Within minutes, though, the room exploded. Murkrow shattered the glass and attacked the scientists. They had greasey feathers and stained crimson eyes, their bodies falling apart before Stark's eyes. But he did not hesitate. Dashing away from the chaos, he locked himself into a room. It was a closetlike room with a passcode to lock the door and a small computerlike device used as communication means. He locked the room with the 6 digit code, typing the delicate buttons slowly with the tip of his tail. Once locked securely in, Stark typed S.O.S. into the small device. His mind too panicked to think of Pepper's dial, he just kept repeating the message. S.O.S. S.O.S. S.O.S. S....O...S..... S...........O.......... ........S...... The sounds of the massacre outside the thick metal door couldn't be heard, but Stark had no way of knowing if the death was finished o not. His mind slipped into primal fear, telling himself that he was going to die. Death was near, he was going to die. Hours passed like days and breathing was difficult. The Dragonair was going to suffocate himself from the anxiety attack before his lungs actually would. But suddenly the door opened and he saw the familiar red hair ad freckled face. "Stark go!" Pepper yelled at him and the Dragonair shot forward, not understanding but unable to have the thoughts to ask. Time passed and Stark was introduced to life living in the wild...and the virus. Observing and doing his own mental research, Stark learned things about the virus, but was very obsessive about staying clean and healthy. His travels took him many places, using his speed of flight and weather manipulation to his own advantage as he made his way from region to region...eventually finding the tower of Realgam. And, oh, he had to just sneak a peek. |
Appearance | "Dragonair is a long, serpentine Pokémon covered in blue scales along its back and a bright white underside. Its violet eyes are dark and glossy. It has a smooth, rounded snout and a small horn in the middle of its forehead. Its head is flanked by two stylized wings, each white and curving into a swirl. It has distinct blue orbs on its lower neck and near the tip of its tail." Average in colouration for his species, Stark has the same colouration and size as he should. The face of the Dragonair having a strong jawline and fierce eyes, as to appear much more masculine than the normally feminine air of the serpents n the wild. His gaze is a startlingly bright violet-maroon colour, blazing when deep in thought. |
Personality | Stark is extremely intelligent. For decades he has literally done nothing but hone his knowledge. He is very proud of all that he knows and it tends to make him smug when sharing it or besting others. Stark, however, tends to place himself in very high social status upon meeting any others, automatically believing himself much smarter and thus more important. Tending to be smug and sassy, his sharp words come with a smirk and a charisma that almost seems as if he is amused at anything the individual has to say. Will more often than not let the other speak first or act first then step up and show them up on purpose, making a fool of them. This is, however, very flawed and Stark is not as perfect as he likes to act. Due to this he is known to get himself into trouble. Stark thinks very deeply about the world and the universe, very often asking dozens of silent questions that have no real answer to them. He has no belief in fate or even a higher power (instead more often than not openly mocking them), figuring that if there was someone that gave a damn they would not have killed his family. But on the other hand he is more than aware of the Legendary Pokemon and has no doubt they exist. Stark is actually utterly horrified at the thought of ever coming in contact or meeting one, fearing that they could wreak havoc on his mind and body with their awe inspiring power. He despises them all deep down, blaming their fabled magical power and strength as a huge chink in the theory and intelligence he had built up with for decades. But Stark is often a very angry Pokemon, snapping at others easily and being witty when bothered to pay attention to conversations. He thinks lower of younger females but has high respect for older women as they remind him of his own mother. On that same note he is a famous pervert and womanizer, using his suave attitude and charming masculine looks to woo ladies. But he is not a sympathetic individual, often bluntly and harshly telling others to get over their drama. At the same time he is a man driven by a thirst for more; knowing ore, seeing more, experiencing life. He puts his own safety second to these goals almost every time and has gotten into dangerous situations more often than avoiding them, and as a result has dragged anyone in his company with him as well. Not thinking to consider the alternative of the worst, he becomes almost blinded, rash in his race for more that his judgement is clouded. Another large characteristic of the dragon is his blatant refusal to face the world. When hardships ail him, like the death of his family. he will completely ignore and avoid the subject. His own problems might grow and become obvious to those around him and he would ignore them. Alternatively, if he had an internal conflict, he is much more likely to keep it inside and secret until not is nearly killing him inside. In actuality, the seeming relaxed Dragonair is a extremely depressed and anxious Pokemon, actually suffering from PTSD and severe flashbacks of the lab being destroyed and almost dying that can cause crippling panic attacks. |
User Notes | -Complete revamp of an old character, nothing the same except text colour. -Since in the games Dragontail forces the foe to be switched out/ends a battle in the wild, I'll be writing it as if there is so much immense power put into it, he literally flings the target away with his tail like a catapult. -Inspired by and based off of Tony Stark from the Marvel universe. -Father was a Seadra -While he was born a prodigy of solving problems, with his upbringing and teachings from father and humans alike, he is at the peak of intelligence. A true genius, and considers himself a scientist. He can read human writing, though can not write, and knows how to use computers. -Tends to very much over think things and will look into things much deeper than necessary most of the time -After having such a bitter relationship with his father in the years before his death, he tends to be clouded by that. Stark thinks of only the yelling and the disappointment in the Seadra's eyes when remembering his father, not the pride when he first touched a computer or the love he showed his family. His views are very biased and clouded. -He goes solely by his last name, Stark. -All Stark currently knows about the virus is; fire/ghost types are not seen almost at all and must turn too quickly to be common, dragon/poison types are rarely if ever showing symptoms, though he has seen dragons infected never pure poison types, as well as tainted meat/water will pass it on, and that corpses get back up without having the spinal cord severed.
