| History | Paris was a pure-bred child, born for a display of spotless shining shell and body. He moved with an elegant grace and power through his bug type moves, charming judges with his smart way of performing. Other pokemon got nervous as soon as they saw him going up to perform, in contests he was an unchallenged king of intelligence. His trainer grew wealthier off the prizes his precious Paras had gained him. Then he had looked over one day after his appeal and seen Juliet. She was the cutest pokemon he had ever laid eyes on and she moved with such elegance and grace. Paris found his heart melting. That day he had put on one of the best performances of his career to try and impress her, though she never looked towards the Smart Contest area. With a bit of scratching he managed to communicate what he wanted to his Cacturne father who had in turn conveyed it to their trainer. His trainer, a man of no small renown in the world of contests, had talked with Juliet's trainer and, as quickly as that, it was agreed the two would be bred together. Paras was of as good stock as Juliet and after the fuss an unruly Volbeat had made it was better for her to bred to a pokemon of better upbringing. Their offspring would be of the highest pedigree with the moves and talents of both parents. Paris was overjoyed. To try and prove himself worth he fought harder and harder, reaching new peaks of skill in his contests in hopes of catching her eye. Completely and utterly he fell in love with her, without her even having seen him. He swore that when the time came that they met he would woo her and she would fall as much in love with him as he was with her. He would love her and hold her and keep her safe from harm. When the Epidemic struck the little Bug Type bravely set off on his own in search of her. He may not be an experienced battler but he weathered the dangers in hopes of seeing her well. He barricaded the remains of his trainer's house into a sturdy castle and gathered food and medical supplies for safety. Even if she didn't remember him he knew it couldn't be long before they would fall in love. After all they had been promised to one another, it was destiny. |
| Appearance | A normal Paras in his prime, being particularly handsome for the species. He carries himself in a lordly manner, acting very politely towards other pokemon. He has comparative 'wealth' for the Epidemic, having added barricades to his trainer's house and having a food supply handy for other pokemon. |
| Personality | Paris sometimes comes off as arrogant due to his good breeding, not because he is vain but because he honestly sees his good genetics as proof of worth. His battle style is not aggressive but neither is it very passive, he will attack only to try and save others. He has a cool personality and is willing to listen to reason. He hates conflict between living and can serve as a mediator to the situation. Paris is deeply in love with Juliet and offers a good match for her but also respects her wishes, being far more level headed about his feelings and expressing himself in a chivalric manner as opposed to Romeo's more hot blooded approach. He will protect not only her but other pokemon from danger. Paris disapproves of Romeo as being too driven by emotions and likely to drive himself into an early grave. He instead tries to show his affections for Juliet through small tokens and actions. |
