Who were those new guys? Derek didn't know, but a huge Roar scared him so much, he let go of the Fearow and fell.....narrowly avoiding Vladimir in the process. The Ninetales seemed absolutely furious, utterly tearing the Fearow apart....and eating him. Vladimir ate the bird, and a freaky looking Luxray only topped off Derek's horror. And so the Eevee ran from them, farther into the forest, terrified! Derek had no idea where he was going, but he didn't want to be eaten by Vladimir like that Fearow had been....
The Eevee was so freaked out, he didn't pay attention to his surroundings and slammed into a tree. His head throbbed terribly after the impact, a fresh wave of pain coming every few seconds. Derek began to cry from the pain of it, some blood dripping from where he had been hit. The smell of blood....that wasn't good. A twig snapped from Derek's right, as the noise of him hitting the tree and the scent of blood had attracted a monstrous-looking Raichu.

Another monster?? Why????! Derek only had time to run about seven feet, his lungs burning, before the Raichu hit him with some sort of electric attack. The Eevee didn't have any energy to run anymore....he was going to get eaten! "Help! Help!" Vladimir! Written in the Fates!" Derek yelled as loud as he could...the infected mouse was coming.....could they hear him? Where were they in this place??

Where the hell is everybody? I just want to know the story...what happened right before I became so alone?

Bane heard a loud cry for help, it wasn't directed at him but the Wooper knew(from previous experience) if you wanted prey, you must get it to trust you. Waddling quickly as he could towards the noise, Bane shot a Mud Bomb, square in the Raichu's face. Not only damaging but also temporarily blinding the other zombie. Then he got in front of the Eevee as fast as he could(for a shambling zombie child).

"Be CaREfUl."Wolfsbane said to the Eevee. Defensively, Bane fired more Mud Bombs at the Raichu. Trying to stun it, or damage it enough to make it faint. Bane just didn't care at this point, as long as he got food. Any food would do, even the flesh of other infected would be satisfying enough for him. Somewhere within his mushy brain, Bane knew that all of this would eventually lead to good food. That's the only reason he's doing this....right?

What was she fighting for, exactly? Was there any true answer to that question? So many times she could say one thing, but at a later point in time she may end up going against her words. She would then be a hypocrite for doing such. With contradicting choices and decisions in mind, she had no choice...

Written in the Fates watched Derek rush off, a few moments later the Wooper following the Eevee. The Wooper’s mouth as well as discoloring had unnerved her - after all the undead and infected she had seen in so short a time, the Swellow could tell when she saw one. Hopefully Derek will be able to hold it off on his own... She fluttered off the ground, and it took a second for her to register that the fiends that were so close to beating them had begun to wane and disappear. Hm? The Swallow Pokemon turned around to find herself looking at a purple Luxray.

The Swellow instantly tensed at the sight, but found herself relaxing as she realized that the majority of the infected had dispersed because of this Luxray. Looks so similar to the other one... Written landed softly on the ground, allowing herself the chance to take a breather. As the adrenaline left the bird, she found that her energy was entirely sapped; she had not flown with that much bluster in a long time. When the purple Luxray seemed to recoil in fright, asking if it was alright that it helped, Written simply smiled in response, mustering a friendly “Definitely,” despite how washed out she felt.

Rocket and Bass! The two Pokemon that she was, in all truth, missing burst through the forest, a little bit ruffled but with great relief still alright. Written flipped onto her back, spreading her wings like an eagle, and looked to the stars. It was almost as if one weight was lifted and another replaced it. The Swellow sighed, her entire body shutting down from sleep deprivation. "THAT WORTHLESS, DETESTABLE REPTILE ISN'T FIT TO WIPE MY PAWS ON!" Written swung her head to find that the noise came from Vladimir, who pounced upon a Fearow with great relish, killing it and devouring its innards without a second thought.

And it shocked her. “V-Vlad?” She asked in a light tone, just a tad unsure if she wanted to call his attention. There was the stab wound on his chest... No one alive could have survived that. With a shiver passing through her, Written forced herself to come onto her feet once again, and after a slightly wary glance at the Ninetails (she dearly hoped he was alright...), she cast her eyes towards the returning teammates. “I hope it wasn’t too hard on the two of you reaching here.”

"Help! Help! Vladimir! Written in the Fates!" Derek’s yell pierced the air desperately, and the Swellow responded immediately. Oh no! How stupid of her to leave the young Eevee alone! Just spectacular, Written! What mother you’d make! Written fluttered around Rocket and Bass quickly, cawing in worry and signaling for them to follow before thrusting herself through the greenery. Despite knowing how rash she was being, the Swallow Pokemon needed to see that Derek was safe. Why she felt so strongly, in all frankness, she didn’t know. I’m coming! She found the little Eevee on the ground as the Wooper attacked a Raichu.

Written grunted, using Quick Attack to ram herself into the Raichu and then repeatedly doing so until she was certain it was dead. The Swellow didn’t care that the mouse’s stomach had ripped open from her offensive beak and black sludge was seeping out, or that her once-glistening feathers were now covered in its gunky blood. By the time she stopped, Written had staggered off to the side, leaning against a tree. With a tired look, she glanced towards the Wooper and Derek. “Urgh... are you okay, dear?” She spoke to the Eevee quietly, managing to give a small smile. This is going to be a long night.

"THAT WORTHLESS, DETESTABLE REPTILE ISN'T FIT TO WIPE MY PAWS ON!"

What the... Rocket stopped running for a moment and listened. He could've sworn that that voice just then had belonged to Vladmir. The guy is STILL pissed off at me? Jeez, he needs to get over it, the Gabite thought to himself before carrying on running.

He and Bass arrived at the scene of a carnage. The bloodied bodies of several flying type Pokemon were thrown about in all direction. Not only that, but a particularly disgusting Raichu was tottering to the side with half its guts on the floor. Rocket smirked and flew at the beast, plunging his claw into the top of its skull and finishing it off for good. He had feared that Written's body was among the many others there, but with relief he spotted her nearby leaning against a tree. Wiping his bloody claw on the leaf of a bush as he passed it, he approached her.

"Just look at this mess! Clearly you can't manage five minutes without me!" he said, then grinned to indicate that he was just teasing. "Heh ... sorry we took so long. As usual there were certain distractions along the way."

    "Thank you...thank you Rocket."

He turned towards the Ninetails with a suspicious look on his face. One minute the guy had been yelling all sorts of insults and the next he was thanking him? What the hell for?

Er, yeah, you're welcome. Pull yourself together, will you? And ... and do something about that injury of yours. Looks nasty."

He had noticed a few new faces, but only took notice of them now. An Eevee, a Wooper with a face that made him feel slightly sick and a Luxray. Upon seeing the latter, Rocket had prepared to leap at her and attack, but there was something about her that distinguished her from the psychopath from before. He couldn't quite figure out whether she was Infected or not, but could tolerate both her and the Wooper as long as they didn't attack.

"M'name's Rocket." He addressed the Eevee, not any of the other two. So ... what now? We gonna continue to hang around being weird," he glanced at Vladimir, "or are we actually gonna do something useful for once? Personally, I wouldn't mind going back to Blackthorn. I bet there's loads of loot there that the humans have left behind."

The Eevee...Derek was frightened of me.

Bass looked sadly at me, traces of guilt whispered across his face.

Rocket..well same as always. Wary and abrasive towards me. Perhaps even more so now that I..Now that I was dead.

Written In The Fates was putting on a brave face but she was unsure of my intentions.

The Luxray still wanted me dead...more dead than I already was....

    I couldn't stay here.
I don't know how long I'd be able to stave off the infection by eating the other undead.

I couldn't harm these people. They had become more then mere pawns..they had become my friends.

    I looked around.

    "Goodbye."

    Epilogue: Mahogany Town

I ran for nearly ten minutes. When I stopped and surveyed the area I knew where I wanted to go. I scored the area and found some dusty bandages.

"Heh, these'll do just fine for my chest wound. It's not like dead people have to worry about getting sick anymore."

I managed to make a haphazard bandage around my chest. after that I began searching the cracked and mossy houses for signs of items I could use. No special items...However I did find a cloak...

After tying it around my mane and pulling it over my hair I left the house.

"I know where I'm going. Im going home!"

Wolfe howled suddenly as his walked on. He hated when he involuntarily howled like that. His body cringed as his muscles pulled under his skin. He looked around with bloody eyes, then sniffed a couple of times. He smelled... "Blood...." His eyes narrowed, and he made his way towards the smell. When he arrived, he saw the Luxray. His still alive fragment of the mind thought she was pretty, but then his animal side took over, just wanting the food. He walked out of the bushes, and in a husky but rough voice, walked up to the Luxray.
"Hey. Share a bite with me and I won't kill you...." He growled, then glared down at the Luxray. He eyes the Eevee meat. It looked quiet fresh and... young.... This made him want the meat even more. He decided to get in a fighting pose, and sharpened his barbed claw and his blade claw. He hit them together with a hollow thud, but then they looked sharp and pointed as he pulled them away. All of the fins on his body were ripped away; part of his master plan to make himself stronger. That's all he was obsessed with, even before his infection. But he never thought of self mutilation before. Why didn't he? This idea he got when he want insane was brilliant. He glared at the Luxray, waiting for a reaction.

She often wondered about, if she ever lived to that day, when she could look back and recount her many adventures. She couldn’t exactly say that she was going to miss these days specifically, but the things she’s experienced have changed her for the better...

“Personally, I wouldn't mind going back to Blackthorn. I bet there's loads of loot there that the humans have left behind." Written pondered the idea for a brief moment - the reason they had left Blackthorne was because the city was overrun with the infected monsters, and because they had no choice if they wanted to live. Well... The Luxray wasn’t there anymore, and neither was the Dodrio, Roserade, and Zebstrika, so the Swellow figured any immediate danger was no longer there.

“Blackthorne City is is,” Written smiled at Rocket, flapping her wings to lift her off the ground. Ah! She was in the air almost instantaneously, and for the first time in a long time, the Swallow Pokemon was thrilled at the thought of flight. The bird brought herself into Bass’ tree, cawing in great relief - her friends were alive and well, and they were on their way to find resources. They were going to survive! That brought her spirits up considerably and Written was prepared to-

No!” The Swellow’s voice spoke without another thought as she watched in horror as the Luxray from before came into the scene and finding Derek. The next thing she knew, the little Eevee... he was... dead. Written’s body visibly shook as the tears threatened to emerge, but she wiped them off just as soon. Derek didn’t just die in front of her. The assumably dead Luxray didn’t just appear. ... But they did. And that was what hurt her the most - everything happened, and she could do nothing to stop it.

She barely even noticed Vladimir running, bidding them a goodbye. The Swellow’s throat was tight with emotion, unable to choke out words to anyone. "Hey. Share a bite with me and I won't kill you...." The bird took one last look at the retreating figure of the Ninetails. We’ll meet again, Vlad. That I’m sure of it. But shifting her gaze over to the Luxray and the dead Derek, there stood a bloodied Garchomp, wanting a piece of the Eevee also. Oh Arceus...

Written in the Fates threw up whatever berries she had managed to eat in the last twenty-four hours on the trunk of Bass’ tree.

... but was the better always for the best? Sometimes she felt as if the events in her life just caught her at a bad time, almost always resulting in a sad ending. With that in mind, she often wondered if there was ever going to be a happy ending for her...

"H-how do you plan to do that?" the new Luxray butted in. "The bridge is busted... I saw it recently myself." Rocket turned from sharpening his claws on a tree and scoffed. "Oh, believe me, I saw it too. There's got to be another way in though. Just having one bridge isn't convenient, is it? The humans weren't that stupid. Oh, and I wasn't talking to you." "A-and my name is Amber." Rocket said nothing.

He vaguely noticed Vladimir vanish into the undergrowth for no apparent reason after a quick "goodbye". He was somewhat glad that he no longer had that big-headed ponce to deal with. He did not trust the Wooper or Amber very much, but as long as they didn't attack he could tolerate their company.

"Blackthorne City is is," Written smiled at him. Rocket grinned back, happy that at least one of them agreed with him. "Better than hanging around in this death-infested forest, right?" He prepared to follow Written as she took flight. The Gabite was glad that she had recovered. Maybe things weren't going to be too bad after all. Sure, the Luxray and the fucked-up Wooper were making him a bit nervous, but as long as--

"SHIT!" Within seconds a big blue blur raced past and when it had gone, so had the Eevee. Well, look at that. It's her. So the crazy bitch was still alive. He had a hunch that it had been her following he and Bass through the caves. He didn't feel much for the Eevee's unfortunate death since the poor bastard hadn't even said a word to him, but that didn't stop him from following the Luxray. He sprinted through the undergrowth as fast as his legs could carry him. He seemed to run forever until he came to a stop in a clearing. Indeed, it was the same Luxray who had attacked them on the bridge. She was feeding on the Eevee hungrily, tearing his flesh from his bones and swallowing them greedily. "You damn bitch, I'm gonna--" Rocket lifted his claws threateningly but stopped dead when he noticed who was standing next to her.

A Garchomp. An enormous, bloodied, fully-grown Garchomp. The one whom he ultimately sought to become. No way, I'm never going to look like that, Rocket thought, looking the larger dragon up and down with a look of disgust. The sound of vomiting distracted him and he noticed that Written and Bass were nearby. "Get out of here," he told them, "while they're busy." Whether his friends were going to leave or not, Rocket kept an eye on the two feasting undead in case they decided to have them for seconds. He'd be ready for them.

((OOC: Sorry about the rushed quality.))

"Personally, I wouldn't mind going back to Blackthorn. I bet there's loads of loot there that the humans have left behind."

Blackthorn? The city where their partnership had all started? The one where he'd first confronted infected Luxray #1? The one that had been previously overrun with undead pokemon? That Blackthorn? 'You've got to be kidding me.' No! There was no damn way he was gonna go along with this. No th-that's just insane! 'We don't even know if there are more infected there than here!' That's it, he's made up his mind. There are just too many things wrong with this plan. Did he mention that they don't have a bridge to cross, anymore? No? Well there is still no way he's gonna let them do this, no fucking way-

"H-how do you plan to do that? The bridge is busted... I saw it recently myself."
    Wait what?

Bass simply stared at infected Luxray #2 in surprise. The Torterra really didn't think the poor Luxray could-would be willing to talk....And it seemed to be psychic or something cause it had just voiced out one of his main concerns, because honestly? He'd be damned before he got back down that trail, into the rank water, back up the cliff, and into town.

"A-and my name is Amber." Her voice broke his train of thought, and he was forced to snap his eyes back up to his group. Apparently he'd missed something considering the fact that Rocket would barely even acknowledge Luxray #- Amber. “Blackthorne City is is.” 'Why are you saying yes?! ...And why are nesting in my tree and eating my pecha berries?' "Better than hanging around in this death-infested forest, right?" 'Okay. We're going to Blackthorn...Who am I kiddi- Like hell I'm going back there! Not with all the unknown risks.'

"Wait, wait, wait! Are we really being rational here? I mean, for all we know, Blackthorn City could be, right as we speak, filled with a horde of infected fiends," turning to Amber, "no offense."

Suddenly a flash of purple had raced across, taking a small brown body with it. "Oh my G-" Fuck! He recognized that pelt anywhere. "BITCH!" He was about to charge at the crazy hag, when the body of an infected Garchomp stepped out, making himself known to not only the Luxray whom he'd began bargaining with, but also to himself, Rocket, Written, Amber, and Vla- 'You've got to be kidding me.' The guy had run off! RUN OFF! RIGHT WHEN THEY NEE- NO. He was not going to dwell on this. Not when their survival here was at stake.

Bass barely even noticed the faint splatter of a thick liquid mixed with oddly lumpy chunks that had run off the side of his shell. All he could really focus on was the two bodies who'd surrounded the torn flesh of their deceased companion. "Get out of here, while they're busy." The Grass-type gaped at the Gabite before him.

Okay. Hold up. This bitch had just snatched up one of their companions, and this guy expects him to just stand back and skedaddle his ass all the way back to godforsaken Blackthorn? Bitch please! "C-come on! We need to get out of here... It isn't safe." Luxray #2, ah, Amber seemed to be pleading to both him and his passenger up in his tree. He knew he would feel bad about practically telling her off, but he wasn't gonna run.

"Like hell I'm leaving him here with those two! Rocket, move over. I'm standing by with you." There was no way he was gonna hightail it outta there. He made a promise a long time ago to never leave a living comrade, enemy or not, behind.

Wolfe kept his stance as the Eevee was thrown at him.

    "Take it all, handsome."

Somewhere in the back of Wolfe's mind, something sparked a small adrenaline rush. He'd never really been called handsome before.... His instincts came back as soon as he smelled the Eevee. With his red eyes, he looked to it then picked it up with his barbed and sword hand and proceeded to eat it.

"The name is Rionnah, by the way,"

Wolfe looked up to the lion with half lidded eyes. He continued to eat, but then lifted his face which was covered in the Eevee's blood. He spoke calmly, but with a deep and raspy voice.
"I am Wolfe." he took another bite, now tearing flesh off of the bones because he eaten all of it besides the drum sticks. HE finished within a minute, and dropped the bones to the ground. It was then when he noticed his pre-evolution who was standing near them. His eyes turned into a glare. He took a few wobbly steps toward Rionnah, then looked to her with his red eyes, his chest puffing up.
"I will be in alliance with you." he said calmly, then looked to the other pokemon, the living. He hated the living; he always envied them for a life he could never have. He couldn't wait to attack all of these horribly innocent creatures.... He especially eyed the Gabite, making sure it stayed out of his way. If anything, it reminded him of home. The less reminders he had, the more satisfied his decaying mind would be. He would surely deal with them; he was strong enough even if his body said otherwise.

If she had the choice to live her sheltered life again, protected from all the dangers and never face loss and despair, and be surrounded by her loved ones the rest of her life, would she do it? Would she be able to say goodbye to the new experiences she had seen, and settle down to a life of complacency?

"Like hell I'm leaving him here with those two! Rocket, move over. I'm standing by with you." Bass suddenly became a bold turtle, steeling his determination and standing beside the Gabite. With the Torterra's movements, his tree swayed back and forth, not helping Written's stomach fluids at all. Urgh... With a lazy flapping of her wings, she took off from the portable tree, floating in between the dragon type and Continent Pokemon. If they stay, then I shall also. One look at the incapacitated Derek though caused the Swellow's stomach to lurch once more, but she swallowed it down. Be strong.

"I will be in alliance with you." The gravelly voice of the Garchomp sent shivers throughout the Swallow Pokemon's body, still weak from the shock of another lost friend, and a glance at its bladed arms decided that this monster was a dangerous criminal. A glance at the initial purple Luxray beside him decided that with both of their working minds they were a dangerous combination. Written in the Fates clutched her pencil mightily, taking in a deep breath. They had to be strong for all the things that have been taken away from them; they had to show that they weren't weak.

"I was hoping to have a proper burial for that Eevee, you know." She spoke in a dead serious tone, her eyes hardening as the entrails of Derek caught her eye. Some maternal instinct within her drove away her fears and replaced it with silent fury, and want for revenge. Written gave a glance towards Bass, then to Rocket, even going so far as to sharing a look with Amber, before returning her burning gaze to the Garchomp and the other Luxray. "But you just had to eat him, huh?" Tears began to well up, but the Swellow shook her head to disperse of the liquid. She wouldn't be weak. She wouldn't be intimidated.

And just like that, she began with a screech that suggested a battle, and opened her beak to let out a Supersonic at the Garchomp. She had lost too much up to this point - her friends, her family, her innocent past - they were all gone, never to be retrieved ever again. The Swellow dove for cover in Bass' tree, pushing her glasses back with her wing. "Let's do this, Bass!" Written shouted in encouragement at the Torterra, willing him to charge forward and assist her in this fight. The others will surely tag along! She had lost so much, but in return she had gained something she wouldn't have otherwise - teamwork, a quality that she could count on with her life.

The Garchomp's eyes grew a bit softer as the purple Luxray started to talk to him.

"Oh really? Thank you Wolfe, I am afraid that I am only a lady. I need a big, strong man around to care for little old me."

The blue, bloodied creatures gaze continued to soften, but then a voice interrupted his thoughts. Wolfe snorted loudly as he turned to the Swellow.

"I was hoping to have a proper burial for that Eevee, you know. ... But you just had to eat him, huh?"

Wolfe looked to Rio as she spoke.

"I did, didn't I? Well I was hungry. Besides... What are you going to do about it, bird? I could kill you with one bite. Try me, bitch."

Wolfe, for one of the few times in his dead life, grinned evily. He was certainly coming to like his new... acquaintance. He looked to the Swellow, and gave a half growled, half laughed chuckle as he watched it's distress.
"Well, if you want to bury him so much... why don't you bury what's left of him?" Wolfe cackled, then casually flopped a foot to knock some of the half eaten intestine at the Swellow. It then screeched in rage at both of them. But it wasn't so much a screech of rage.... Wolfe had enough time to barely avoid the Supersonic as it barely brushed his skin. Wolfe growled loudly in rage, and looked to the Swellow who then dove into the Torterra's tree.

    "Let's do this, Bass!"

Rionnah roared and started to go after them.

"COWARD! You call me out on my shit, attack, and then HIDE? You are lower than dog food!"

Wolfe's heart probably would of jumped if it were beating. Wolfe grinned, and roared as he went to help his new partner out. Suddenly, her attention got distracted, and he got close to the Torterra. He looked to see her pounce a Sandslash can crunch down on its neck. Wolfe looked back to the Torterra, and sneered. Without word, he let flames lick from his mouth and fly right for the Torterra. He be damned that anything would happen to his partner.

(OoC: I left my attack open or closed. -w- Whichever you choose.)

    Where was she?

She didn't know. All she knew was that she wasnt home anymore. And the worst was proberly the fact she didn't regonise anything. She had been running hidden in the bushes for a while, since she had gotten away from those mightyenas. She thought back on the sounds she had heard, as they ripped appart her old friend. She held back a tear, as she finally slowed down a bit. She looked arround. No infected or living was arround here. She let out a sight. 'at least there's not a undead in sight. That's good. Maybe I can find some berries and..-'

Her thoughts where cut off, as she head a screech. She didn't know where it came from, but when there was a battle, it couldt either mean other survivors. Or a pack of undead that wanted to have their meal for themself. But she was just too currious this time. She slowly walked over to the place she had heard the screech.

Some kind of purple cat, infected she thought, and a clearly undead big thing was standing on one side. A buntch of living was standing on the other. The purple-thingie was standing at what appeared to be a dead Sandslash. And a other thing was laying there too witch got her blood to turn cold.

She looked carefully at the buntch of bones lying there with just a small taint of brown fur lying on it. 'No way! It couldn't be...' She was now too scared to move. Instead, she hided in the bush, waiting on that the undead wouldt ether go away, or for the living to run or get beaten.

She relly hoped they didn't get beaten.

Time repeated itself. No matter how you may try to look away, or avert previous disasters from happening once more, it was fruitless, and the disasters happen anyhow...

"COWARD! You call me out on my shit, attack, and then HIDE? You are lower that dog food!" The Luxray roared in anger as she prowled forward, madness not hidden. Written felt defiance rear up within herself, and try as she might, she could not satiate the growing anger. Huffing to herself, the Swellow came out of Bass' tree, the coming sunlight creating a glint on her glasses. What was she doing, facing an enemy with an advantage over her? Written in the Fates thought that she had decided to pick survival over these risks she was taking, but here she was, taking a risk. Call her stupid, but the Swallow Pokemon was actually... okay with that.

"At least I'm over the likes of what you are, Luxray," Written called back, staying put in front of the Torterra. By then, the Swellow was beginning to get emotional over this mess, so angry at the messed up world and its events, how Derek was killed before there was a proper goodbye. The bird tried to hold herself back - her anger had gotten the best of her before, back when Tony had been killed... by the same crowd of undead. Okay, that's it. She was just done with this; why the hell must cherished ones be taken from her? Without a goodbye? And by others who have already died. How the fuck does this always happen?

"Fuck you, Luxray." Written in the Fates sped forward with a Quick Attack, wanting to rid this world of one more undead. But the movements were too fast for her mind - she wasn't thinking this through, she kept telling herself - and before she knew it a dark purple claw had been risen and brought down with force that knocked the wind out of her lungs. The Swellow gasped in surprise as she was thrown to the side, crashing through undergrowth and twigs and greenery. Urgh... The world spun around, a sickening feeling settling in Written's stomach. "That was stupid of me..." She murmured as she laid her head on the ground.

And right beside her, in all disbelief, there lay an Eevee, a flower placed neatly upon her ear. For a moment, the blue feathered Pokemon thought it was Derek, but the flower and a bracelet on one of the paws told otherwise. Another... Eevee... After catching her breath, Written in the Fates got to her feet and peered from the bush to see the others - Rocket, prepared to fight the undead; Bass, determined to help his friends; the Luxray and Garchomp, beasts that defied Death itself. "Will you help us?" She spoke as she flapped her wings, taking to the air. Whether the Eevee followed back to the others was up to the normal type, but with a nod, she returned to the sides of Rocket and Bass.

"If I die, I'm taking you with me." Written spoke with dead seriousness. "I promise you that much."

... and thus, time repeated itself.

Rocket would've retreated from battle for the second time in his life if it weren't for Written pissing off the Luxray. BIG TIME. The Garchomp was pretty annoyed too, but the purple lion looked just about ready to commit murder, and he was sure that she would if given the chance. Rocket tensed himself and got ready for a tough battle. A grin crossed his dirty face; no matter how powerful these opponents were, they were outnumbered. Besides, he desperately needed the experience. He could feel it ... it wouldn't be long now until he became immensely powerful.

Written stood next to him and Bass. She appeared injured but the look on her face was one of pure seriousness. "If I die, I'm taking you with me." she said. "I promise you that much."

"But we're not gonna die," Rocket said, turning and focusing his yellow eyes straight on the Garchomp, "because we're going to kill these losers."

Rocket gasped as an inferno erupted from the Wolfe's mouth and headed straight towards them. Without hesitation he dived underground. He was a moment too late, however - the Flamethrower burned the last few inches of his tail. The Gabite bit his lip and hissed in pain as he burrowed deeper underground. There were so many vibrations coming from above that he was finding it difficult to figure out who they belonged to. The blinding pain in his tail wasn't helping either. The more intense of the vibrations he predicted to be coming from the Garchomp. As soon as he confirmed this (he didn't want to attack Bass by accident) Rocket shot upwards and burst out of the ground. Surely enough, he was right behind Wolfe.

"BOO!" he yelled joyously as he landed and braced himself for battle. "Leave them alone. I'm your opponent. You're fighting me." He glanced behind him at the burnt, black scales on the tip of his tail. "You're going to pay for that, you bastard!" At that he leaped up and aimed a Dragon Claw right at Wolfe's chest.

    "Let's do this, Bass!"

Just four words...Four simple words that would start a fight. A fight to the death? Maybe. A fight of epic proportions that could very well lead to the death of one? HELL. TO. THE. YES.

Now Bass wasn't going to lie. Engaging in these kinds of things scared him, and no, those last two times did not count because he was CLEARLY not thinking. Those two acts had both been simply impulsive, nothing more. But this time, he was actually weighing in the consequences. When he agreed to this little scuffle, the words left him before he could even reign in what had just happened. Again purely instinctual. Now? He was ready to piss his pants, but with his friends' (and yes he said friends! ...well, at least that's what he thought of them as) lives on the line, yeah, that just wouldn't cut it.

So what was he doing at this moment in time, besides watching his comrades and new-found enemies get their shit handed to each other? Our little Torterra was busy dodging a fucking stream of fire that had just so happened to be aimed at him, the dumbass with the tree. Great way to start the day, ain't it?

Luckily, he managed to get his act together and gain some distance from the jet of pure ass burning hell, but not without a portion of his leaves catching fire. 'Shit! What am I supposed to do?!' Like seriously, what were you supposed to do in this situation! There wasn't a drop of water anywhere near and well, stopping, dropping, and rolling, wouldn't work out too well with him.

"You know what?! FUCK IT AND FUCK YOU!"

And with that, Bass thought it was time to just jumble everyone's shit out, and bring in the big guns, and by big guns, he meant a goddamn earthquake. So, with his big ol' pads, Bass rained hell down on everything, alive or undead, with a thunderous clap of his feet. He'd hope that it would buy him some time as he began charging up one full serving of Hyper-ass-kicking-Beam at the resident Head-Bitch-In-Charge, the ever so enchanting seductress, Rionnah...Who was in the middle of a fight with Luxray #2, Amber.

    'It's time.'
With a look of steely determination and a bit of a smirk, Bass cried out his best impersonation of the one other person he'd ever allow himself to love with an open heart.

"IN THE WORDS OF THE GREAT JANE MAD SKILLZ RIZZOLI, SOME SERIOUS SHIT IS ABOUT TO GO DOWN ON ALL YOU BITCHES!"
And with that as his battle cry, Bass made one clear shot right down the middle, hoping that it would somehow hit its mark.

He barely even registered the fact that Written had made her way back, by his side...And that the inferno on his tree had died down and that most of his leaves were now burnt into a crisp, and by some fucking miracle, his berries were alright.

The battle unfolded right in fron of her eyes. Flames and dirt was thrown everywhere. She was about to turn arround and run, when the small bird fell though the bushes and looked at her. It looked at her flower and her bracelet, before speaking to her. "Will you help us?" The bird then flew back beside the big green thingie.

She didn't know what to do. Every inch of her body and normal ways of being told her to get the fuck away from this. But, something told her it wouldt be a good idear to stay here. She looked over, as a other infected purple cat thingie attacked the first one she had seen. Well that was interesting.

She didn't catch any words they spoke. But she had a feeling she'd have to make a decition soon. Or else, they might go away without her. Now that wouldnt be good. She didn't want to be alone once more. A small flashback of the sounds of the mightyena pack got though her head, but she just ignored it. But it had flashed before her mind for long enough for her to make up her mind about what to do.

She ran quickly on her feet and jumped up on the back of the big green thing and fired a Shadow ball at the big blue undead thing. Then she fired another one at the two cats fighting, not relly knowing witch was witch. after that, she jumped down and behind the green, hopefully friendly, pokémon. Looking to see if her attacks hit.

"You know what?! FUCK IT AND FUCK YOU!" Despite how pumped up on adrenaline Written was for this heated battle, she couldn't help but hold back a chuckle at Bass' rather passionate words towards their enemies. You've got 'em, Bass! The Swellow gave a nod towards the Torterra, glancing in worry at his burning tree, but nonetheless prepared to dive into the fight once again. It was stupid of her to think that she could take on that purple Luxray (she had her it call itself 'Rionnah') by herself - that lion had easily swiped her away as if she were a Ledyba!

Meanwhile, Bass had thrown down upon the earth a massive Earthquake, but with much thankfulness for her flight Written couldn't feel a thing. Now there's just a matter about the others... Rocket was an okay guy, and being a ground type he must be used to feeling earthquakes. Vladi- well, that Ninetails is off and around somewhere, so no matter. And... The little Eevee! The unknown normal type from before, with the pretty flower in her head, had charged forward and fired a Shadow Ball at the two fighting cats, before fleeing to hide behind Bass.

Rocket had gone to taunt his undead evolution. Amber had gone to fight with Rionnah. Bass had rained hell upon some more hell with his impromptu Earthquake. Even the small Eevee had done its part. And now it's time for mine. She paused for but a moment; just what exactly could a weak Swellow like her possibly do? Written in the Fates flapped her wings to bring her in a higher elevation, circling the fighting from high above like a Braviary seeking prey. She had once heard that a child can do more than an adult because they don't know any better, that they can do the impossible because they don't know that it's impossible.

Maybe I should be more like a child. Taking a deep breath, and focusing on what her gut was telling her, Written in the Fates took a risk and began a dive head-first towards the two undead, not sure if she would miss or strike a critical hit. In her mind's eye as the air rushed past her, Written in the Fates' entire adventure flashed before her; how just meeting these Pokemon had shifted her goal from finding her Muse to sticking with everyone, from helping only herself to sacrificing for others. ... But I think I've found my Muse after all.

Perhaps she had found her happy ending, no matter how bleak it may look at face value.

He could not help but run away when that Ninetails had yell voraciously and with great ferocity. West Flame didn't even bother listening to what the fire type had to say. All he knew was that he had to get away from those other living creature for a while, get some peace and quiet, and that he did; before he knew it, he had gone through the forest, and had found a small hollow beneath a tree to rest for a while, breathing heavily. With his limp it had taken twice as long to get where he was, and along the way multitudes of birds were cawing suspiciously over his head. If not for his dark black fur, Flame of the West was certain they would have rained down upon him.

But upon catching his breath, he had realized what a stupid mistake he had made - when would he ever find living, breathing, heart-beating animals like the ones that he had found? I ought to find them right away. It was an ideal path to take, and with a grunt and a wheeze, the Umbreon had gathered his senses and gotten to his feet. He had been searching for that bird and her friends since.

But the going was rough, but that was to be expected. Many times he had to stop to rest because it was becoming difficult to breath, and other times it was simply his limp that was holding him back, but after who knows how long, West Flame finally found himself at the side of a clearing, mildly shocked (but not that much) to find that the others were fighting. Although he could not find the Ninetails amongst them, there was that Gabite - and the Torterra! - and even Written, fighting a rather nasty duo of Pokemon. Flame of the West wasn't sure what was happening, but he had to help. Even if I won't be of much use.

The Moonlight Pokemon limped forward with as much guile as he could muster, coming to the side of the Torterra and preparing a Confuse Ray upon the two offenders. That is, until the Torterra began stomping his massive feet down on the hard ground, tree tops shaking as the tremors shook the earth. D-dear Arceus! He exclaimed in his mind as he struggled to stay afoot, his concentration lost. "Dumbnuts!" West Flame cursed under his breath, his right hind leg pulsating just slightly with pain. That Earthquake must have pulled a ligament! Shaking his head, Flame of the West looked onward. He could introduce himself when all this was settled. But for now, all he could do was scrape up and throw sand with his fore paws and aim Sand Attacks at the Garchomp and Luxrays.

Well, things were certainly getting more intense, and Rocket was loving every second of it. Before he could launch his Dragon Claw at Wolfe he wobbled and struggled to stay on his feet as Bass unleashed a massive Earthquake attack. He was a little pissed off that his attack had been interrupted, but as the Earthquake calmed down and Rocket regained his balance, he noticed a small, brown fuzzball leaping onto Bass's back and attacking Wolfe with a move that looked like Shadow Ball.

Another Eevee? Rocket thought with amusement. Jeez, this region is full of the damn things. Still, it was good to see that the little Pokemon was busy getting involved in the fight instead of hiding like a wuss. Rocket nodded to her in approval before turning his attention to Amber and the crazy-ass Luxray that had fucked everything up on the bridge. The two felines were tearing each other to pieces. Rocket decided to leave them to it; after all, both of them had the virus and even though Amber still retained most of her mind and wasn't (yet) a psychopath, it wouldn't be long before she'd be trying to tear them to pieces. If they killed each other now it would be less to worry about later on.

Rocket was about to resume his battle with Wolfe when he noticed yet another new arrival on the scene. Hey, look at that! The Magical Flying Umbreon! He'd thought that the Dark-type had wimped out and ran off for good, but it looked like he had some balls as well ... even if he was just aiming a few Sand Attacks.

But he was dawdling; he'd wasted ten whole seconds just gawking round like some idiot! He scraped his claws on a rock, leaving behind white marks, and turned back to Wolfe. "Leave the big one alone!" he barked at the rest of the group. "He's mine!" Once more he leaped at the Garchomp and aimed a Dragon Claw at his chest. Rocket shivered at the thought of how much experience he'd receive from killing this guy.

((OOC: Sorry Rocket didn't do much, but since Tails is away he hasn't got much to do. Plus I didn't want to skip because I'm getting close to 25 posts with him. ^^;))
