History | When she was born, the first thing she saw was intriguing crimson eyes smiling at her softly. Immediately she recognized this crimson and black Umbreon to be her father and she wondered with her young mind where her mother was but she dared not say it to him. Somehow the young Eevee knew that the world she was born into was wrong and dying but she still got up and followed her father, whom she later found his name to be Yoru, to the water close to where she was hatched. There sat three stones of different colors. The first one she examined was a deep red like fire and the second was a exuberant yellow like the sun in the sky. Looking up to her father, the young Eevee watched him as he nudged her onward urging her to choose from the three stones laid out before her. Turning back around, she felt a jolt of excitement rush through her as she gazed in wonder at the deep sapphire stone that reminded her so much of the waters lapping softly in front of her. Without any hesitation she stepped forward and bent to place her head against its cold surface while her body tingled and, when she opened her eyes, she blinked silvery blue irises at her father in her new body as a Vaporeon with longer fins on her back and strange markings by her eyes. In awe of her beauty, Yoru named her Drizzle and promised to always protect her at all costs although a month and two days later, that promise was broken. The day started out like any other for the two, Drizzle would play in the water and dive for food while Yoru watched for undead but something had gone wrong when Drizzle leaped into the water. At first Yoru thought she was just playing under the waves but when she didn’t surface after a few hours, he suspected the worst and left before he would have to kill his assumed infected daughter. However what he didn’t know is that she was alive but when she dived to the bottom, she hit her head and was knocked unconcious and carrier through the water to a bigger lake and then an ocean where she was rescued by a group of Vaporeon who took her in and fixed her up as good as new while she was unconscious for a day. When she came to though, her memory was forgotten and the larger fins on her back felt odd. With further inspection she realized that there were crystal like gems fastened on their tips and on the tips of her tail fins with one lone gem in the middle of her forehead. Also around her neck lay a gorgeous pendant of a deep purple gemstone she had never seen before. She was also in some sort of underground cave on her own and when she swam out she noticed that the waters were a crimson color. Looking around, she did her best to find one of the Vaporeon’s who saved her and she did finally find one but it was frantic. “Reine! Reine! You must leave us my queen! Save yourself!” That was all that it could get out before finally taking its last breath. Queen? She didn’t think of herself as a queen but since she had no other memories, this one would have to do. Thinking Reine to be her name, she swam off making herself invisible to the infected that floated around her and took off towards the Seafoam Islands. Although most of her memory of her life was completely gone, Reine knew exactly where she was and knew exactly how to get to where she wanted to go. Whether it be instinct or a trace of her long forgotten memory, Reine trekked on towards the Islands and trained to become the strongest that she could be. **After discovering some survivors on the infamous Seafoam Islands, she was soon in the company of good friends. An odd mix of pokemon, she enjoyed their presence when suddenly, a mishap at the beach occured, and she was left behind to protect not only the small den they'd discovered, but an egg belonging to the luxray, Vince. But while the others battled the horde of tentacruel below, she was swarmed with a myriad of Infected inhabitants. She was drug down into the caves, where she nearly lost her life. The cloysters ripped her gemstones from her, marring her face and tail. The dewgong nearly crushed her form with their weight and powerful tails. She managed to escape, using her natural ability to melt into water to return back to the surface, hoping her new friends had come out of their battle better than she had. Maro and her father had been long-time pets of her owners, an order of monks, who happy to keep a number of such rare pokemon at their sides. Her father, Izel, tried to teach her the human's religion, as it was an integral part of their lives. She was devout as he was, and did not go astray. It was a peaceful life of prayer, hope and solemn, reverent, soul-soothing music. She loved her home, a beautiful Gothic cathedral, the mosiac windows and stained glass filling it with Divine color, and she thought she would never leave it. Thought. One day, there was another eevee outside of the protective fences surrounding the cathedral and its gardens. The eevee, Rayne, asked what she was doing, and she replied, "The Lord's work." After he laughed in her face, she soon found herself outside and tussling with the eevee, chasing and fighting. Hours passed, and the two children found themselves not only piss tired, but hopelessly lost. They struck up a conversation, to help the time pass as the mustered the energy to find their way back. Maro's time with Rayne proved to be longer than expected when he led her back to a trainer, who promptly caught her. Maro was very upset at first, of course, but over the months of traveling and training, she couldn't help but settle. She learned to adore her teammates and trainer, and while she enjoyed her new family, her heart yearned for the heavenly cathedral and her father. She even produced a family, a small little eevee kit of her own to look after. Her trainer evolved Rayne into a vaporeon, but couldn't bring himself to evolve Maro just yet. No eeveelution he knew of suited her. There was something different about her, something none of the other types really captured her. So he waited, and she remained an eevee. It was a while before Maro could not stand it any longer, and stole away for her old home. Her trainer and Rayne caught up with her, but after talking it out, they decided to embark for the cathedrral together. Finally, she would see her father and ensure she was all right... She wasn't sure if he knew she was still alive. They arrived at the cathedral to a neutral welcome. And while her father was shocked to see her alive, he was livid that she had abandoned them for a life of useless pilgramage, a prideful path to greed and power. He attacked, and killed Rayne, her kit, and herself. Izel was more or less shocked when her body erupted into light, and then switched to an eerie, ethereal wisp. She had evolved, her form a specter of its old self. Horrified at what had happened, Izel further attempted to kill her, launching attack after attack at his former daughter. Her rage, betrayal and eternal sorrow consuming her, she retaliated, killing him in a blind rage. She escaped the dim, silent cathedral with her trainer and vowed to never return. She herself had destroyed her own Paradise. Regardless, her trainer kept his faith in her and kept her by his side as they ran from the murder scene, unwilling to try and explain themselves to the authorities. It was not long afterward that the Infected began to infest the region. She and her trainer tried preparing themsevles both physically and mentally, sharpening their skills as best they could. Her trainer even got a hold of some more powerful TMs to better equip his now only pokemon. However, even this wasn't enough. He was slaughtered in the dead of night, leaving Maro to fend for herself. She stuck to shadows, fading in and out of this plane in order to slip by unnoticed. |
Appearance | Reine is an otherwise normal colored Vaporeon with her back fins being a little bit taller than most and a few swirly white markings on her face and neck. However, she is battle-worn and bruised, the gems now torn off and the amethyst pendant she cherished so missing. She walks a little heavier now, her heart and mind unable to keep up with the terrible events. Maro is a rather unremarkable Phanteon, and holds all of the normal standards for the species. |
Personality | Reine is a very shy Vaporeon when it comes to being with a group. Although she longs to have friends, she doesn’t feel comfortable in large groups since, ever since she was born, she was didn’t have much contact with others outside of her family. She can however be an extremely good leader when it is deemed necessary and she can be an exceptional fighter for those that she cares about. She's sometimes a bit passive about situations at times out of slight awkwardness. Maro is first and foremost motherly, and that includes all of the pros and cons that come with that title. She's protective of any she considers close, and will fight viciously to protect them. She can be demanding and bossy, however, telling her younger teammates what to do and how to do it. While there's never any malice behind it, it can come off as nagging. She's very compassionate, caring and generous, often letting others eat before she cares to. She's easily worried when it comes to her family. Patient, loving, and genuinely concerned for the welfare around her, Maro is truly a mother, even without her own brood. However, there is a dark to the light. As much of a paragon of virtue she may be, her temper is nothing to provoke. Famous to those that truly know her -all of which are dead, orz- once her fuze is lit, there's little to be done to stop it. She becomes vengeful, scornful, and a little sadistic. It would be wise to never cross this ghost. |
User Notes | - She is the daughter of Yoru. - Her larger fins, markings, and strange colored eyes are due to a crack in the water stone she evolved with which in turn changed a few of her looks but not drastically. - Although it doesn’t say it, her mother died a few days after Reine was born or rather, she disappeared. - Adopted from - Altered for character reasons and new story details. Slightly and very loosely based off Haruhi from Ouran High School Host Club. For character/couple/plot reasons. (Not very much changed at all.) -Is a pretty level-headed lady. -Tends to not talk about what happened at the cathedral, and if she were to happen upon another, she would not go in. -Doesn't know why she evolved. -I edited her history as well, as her TM moves didn't make sense with the fact that in her old history, her trainer died before she evolved. So... she wouldn't have had those TM's... |D Hope that makes things better :3 |
