History | Elegy doesn't quite understand the meaning of a 'happy family'. In truth, she doesn't quite know what a 'family' is. She was born from an egg, said egg being produced after her trainer requested to breed with another trainer's Ampharos. The young Mareep was curious and questioning, learning about the world from her father, a courageous Blaziken. It was around the time of her birth that the Hoenn Championship battles had began, and in a rush to prepare, only her dad was able to care for the baby. Her father himself was one of the contestants of the battles, and son enough, she found herself watching from the audience with some of the other Pokemon her trainer had as the strong fire-type battled. The Blaziken won every battle with triumph, easily beating down his opponents with well-aimed uppercuts and blazing flamethrowers. Finally, it came to the finals, her parent against a gargantuan Tyranitar. Although his speed was high enough to out-run the godzilla, the dinosaur's well-aimed hit and brutish strength was enough to break one of the fire-type's legs in no time. It was soon obvious that the giant was rampant, it's trainer not having enough badges to control it, and as officials rushed to restrain the beast, it crushed the Blaziken's skull. Elegy too, was stunned. Although she didn't quite understand what happened, her parent's screeches and cries of pain was enough to torture her mind. Her father was soon hurried into an ambulance, speeding towards the hospital in a futile attempt to save him. Predictably, the Blaziken passed away, leaving the child Mareep alone in the world. Her trainer and all her other Pokemon were too bust grieving or working to take care of the electric-type, and soon the little sheep spent her days sitting in the corner of the living room, tired and neglected. Being so young, she didn't understand what death meant, and quietly assumed that her father was simply resting to regain his health after those agonizing screams he emitted. She didn't know why he was sleeping in the ground, but went along with it. Days after days of sitting around, she eventually decided to wander around the rooms for things to do. Once she found a bucket of rare candies in the human's room, and ate a few of the sweets to find herself evolving. Satisfied with her new form and the ability to open doorknobs now, Elegy clumsily entered into the basement for a look-see. Digging through the numerous amounts of books and broken electronics, she soon found a pretty pair of headphones. The Flaaffy had seen her human wear these before, and putting them on, found that the world sounded oddly quiet. Marveling at the device's ability to block out sound, the sheep kept them. Everyday she began to explore the basement, always with her headphones on as she dug through the infinite amount of items in the dark room. It was during one of her deeper explorations one day, when Elegy found something amiss. When she had entered the room the door was open, which was unusual as the human didn't like the door open. Peering inside, she assumed someone else had gone in and out and forgot to close the door, and skipped inside for another treasure hunt. The Flaaffy didn't quite realize, however, that she was being watched. Working her hands deep into the pile of rubble and junk, she didn't hear it when something behind her growled, before lunging at the child's small body to rip it apart. Taken completely by surprise, Elegy strggled and found herself under the undead form of one of her trainer's beloved Houndooms. Crying in fear, it was a miracle that a stack of book topled down of the filthy dog, the sheep quickly running away. Everywhere she ran to, there were more and more of the infected, and as soon as she got out of the house, she was surrounded by giant, bloodthirsty behemoths. Suddenly, behind her, the previous Houndoom had leaped into battle, refusing to let any other undead take it's meal. Using this as a distraction Elegy had quickly ran away from the home, never to look back. |
Appearance | A normal Flaaffy, save for a few scars on her thighs, headphones, and blue eyes. |
Personality | Elegy is extremely reserved, shy of both humans and Pokemon. She doesn't know very much of the world, and most of her beliefs are simply what she though in imagination. For example, she believes dead Pokemon are simply resting and when they are in the ground, they slowly grow into beautiful flowers. She doesn't know what a mom is, and if she did, doesn't even know that her's exists. She has a habit of blocking out the world with her headphones. |
