Influence: ‘Coraline’
Name Suggestions: Coraline, Buttons || Wyborn, Wybie
Species Suggestions: Umbreon / Liepard / Purrloin || Skuntank / Flygon / Flareon
Summary;
The starter pokémon of a pair of particularly competitive, human siblings, the pair have known each other all their life, locked in a love-hate sort of relationship. Reared together and trained together, the battlers are eager to prove their superiority as they share their trainer’s determination to effectively ‘one-up’ the other. Of course, it is all in good-humour, the duo the closest of friends despite their decade long rivalry.
However, as the years roll on, a devastating accident shook the pair’s world. The female and her trainer were attacked by a rogue gyarados, the human perishing whilst the pokémon was left blinded. Devastated, the blind female was taken under the surviving sibling’s wing, buttons sewn to her face to lessen the atrocity of her disfigurement and a nod to the deceased human’s love of needlework. The male helped her come to term with her disability, effectively becoming a carer to the increasing frustrated female. Essentially retired from battling, the accidentt only brought the friends closer, the male harbouring an unrequited love for the female.
As the epidemic hit, the pair fled into the wilds to escape the bloodbath that had befallen their home town. They have travelled together since, mainly content with one another’s company.

Influence: Tribal Characters of ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest’
Name Suggestions: Flea
Gender; Either
Species Suggestions: Eevelution / Poochyena or Mightyena / Zorua or Zoroark
Summary;
Born at the start of the epidemic, this character’s earliest memory was the brutal murder of his/her parents as soon as he/she’d hatched from her egg. They called at him/her to ‘flee’. Confused, they mistook the cries for their name and ran solely out of instinct. The youngster lost a great deal of weight, unable to fend for themselves in a world of monsters. Would have died, hadn’t they been discovered by another living. The living took pity, caring for the youngster as their own and teaching them exactly how to survive the epidemic. Trained hard.
Essentially a child, the character has been reared purely on instinct. With very basic vocabulary, the epidemic is all the character has known and thus she/he has extreme difficult in trusting others. All they know is to eat, sleep and kill the undead. Spent months travelling with their living mentor, however has recently lost contact with them. Determined to get by on her/his own, the character is ruthless, utterly primitive with little to no understanding of any world other than the epidemic.
Extra;
The character would be likely to wear ‘war-paint’ such a decorating their fur/skin/scales with blood and mud to help him/her blend in with the surroundings. They may also wear the skull and bones of the deceased in order to intimidate.

Influence: Mrs. Lovett from ‘Sweeney Todd’
Gender: Female
Name Suggestions: Lovett, Nellie, Maggie
Species Suggestions: Mightyena / Ninetales – Shiny / Delcatty / Glameow / Liepard
Summary:
Orphaned on the streets of London, England, the character was pitied and eventually taken in by a couple running a nearby pub. Spending her childhood in the noisy, often rowdy establishment, she was quickly domesticated and enlisted to pull her weight - duties including running errands, collecting tips and watching out for trouble-makers. As she ages, she is trained to combat any unwanted, aggressive customers.
As years pass, the pub struggles to find adequate income. The human couple release their own brand of pies, accidentally placing a meal intended for their pokémon in the recipe – rattata meat. Surprisingly, the pies are a hit and the couple soon hatch a plan to create more pokémon pies, tasking the character with securing the ingredients. Although hesitant, the pokémon begins hunting the streets of London at midnight, murdering any lonesome pokémon for use in her owner’s pastries.
Lifestyle continues for a little over three years, the pies earning fame whilst the upsetting ingredients remain a mystery. The character has no remorse for killings, totally accustomed to routine as she is introduced to a more luxurious life. The increase in money permits the family to move to REGION and set up an establishment. However, only months into business, the secret is revealed. Fearing euthanasia, the character flees into the surrounding area just as the epidemic breaks out. She survives relatively easily, but soon feels the pang of loneliness.
Extra:
I would love it if she could eventually meet my existing character, Sweeney. I am very tempted to claim this idea for myself, so if the concept goes unclaimed for over a week it will be taken down. xD

- #4
Influence: Santa Claus’ Reindeer
Name Suggestions: Rudolph, Comet, Blitzen, Dasher, Prancer, Donner, Dancer, Vixen, Cupid
Species Suggestions: Stantler, Sawsbuck
Summary;
Born in the wild, the character was captured a few years after hatching – unfortunately ripped away from a happy family. Although nervous, the creature could have never anticipated the future that was to await him/her. Enlisted as one of Santa’s reindeer in a holiday-themed amusement park, the character was at first excited at the prospect of this strange, joyous new world. Full of excited visitors, Santa and his reindeer were the main attraction, lavished with constant attention of the children. The novelty quickly wore off.
As the winter months passed, the character found their mood souring – humiliated at the character they were expected to play. But things soon worsened. Unable to fund the park in the summer months, the deer were forced into a vigorous training schedule, pushed to their limits in order to secure sums of money from their battles. When they lost, they were horrifically beaten. Were they unable to recover from their wounds, they would soon be replaced. Living in fear, the character devotedly kept up with the training, suffering all manner of injuries as they struggled to survive the arduous, summer months.
Following two miserable years, the epidemic hits. Terrified of the infected but with enough strength to combat the monsters, the character is able to flee the park – somewhat cheery as their abusers are killed in the undead attacks. Overjoyed at newfound freedom, character travels happily, their usually grumpy demeanour lifted at the prospect of managing to start afresh.

Influence: Folklore character of 'Robin Hood'
Name Suggestions: Loxley, Hood, Robin
Species Suggestions: Eevee, Flareon, Weavile, Scyther, Charmeleon
Summary;
Owned by a young boy, the character spent his childhood in extremely poor living conditions due to the family’s lack of money. The small unit travelled the country alongside other poverty-stricken individuals, making their homes in aged, equine-drawn carts. Despite the lack of food and the constant travelling in poor housing conditions, the character had a loving childhood. He held a strong bond with his young human, the pair growing up together happily regardless of their materialistic circumstances.
At the equivalent of his teenage years, the character’s human died from starvation. Distraught, the character fell into a deep depression, condemning the upper class citizens as responsible for the death of the innocent. His sadness turning to frustration, the character abandoned his home to start a new life as an outlaw – stealing from the rich to give to the poor. The character’s reputation quickly escalated, the poor heralding him as a godsend as he continued to effectively supply his ‘people’ with food, money and other luxury items. Other pokémon from the traveller group soon joined forces with him, following the character’s orders to form a band of thieves.
Wanted for his crimes, the character successfully escapes the eyes of the authorities for years, notoriously talented in his ability to go unnoticed. However, the epidemic soon forced him out of hiding. The humans he persevered to protect and feed had been slaughtered, all his hard-work going to waste at the sight of their lifeless bodies. Devoid of purpose, the character has travelled the region in search of others to help through the hard times.

Influence: H.G Wells's The Time Machine
Name Suggestions: Eloi, Weena | Morloc, Mortlock (ect)
Species Suggestions: Eevee, Skitty, Jigglypuff, Beautifly | Aggron, Excadrill, Graveller, Vigoroth
Suggested Gender:[/b] Female | Male
Summary;
A female trainer, experienced at contests, tirelessly bred and inbred all her pokemon to be perfectly beautiful and nothing more, for guaranteed victories at Pokemon Contests.
The female pokemon she hatched was the most beautiful of them all but the abuses to her egg that caused this had a nasty side effect.
The pokemon was mute.
This had no negative effect on her Contest Results though and was swiftly plunged into a decadent, easy life style of eating, sleeping and contests.
A male trainer, the female trainer's brother in fact, was exiled from the family for choosing to battle pokemon over entering Contests. He raised his powerful ground and rock-types deep underground and taught them hatred for those weak but pretty things raised by his sister.
His pokemon, taught always to fight, was swift to catch the virus and become an infected. Being above ground during the day came to hurt it's eyes but it still waited and dragged prey down underground to kill it.
Meanwhile the female pokemon, beautiful and vacant, was left all alone in the wildreness. She swiftly charmed her way into groups of living and was horrified when the ground rose up one day and the male pokemon emerged to devour her friends. Swiftly she fled to another place, with the ground being torn up behind her as the male pokemon strove to devour the pet of the one who had caused his trainer so much pain.
Seeking protection from other living the female pokemon can't communicate more than a reluctance to go underground or dig and a deathly fear of the dark.

Influence: Sherlock
Name Suggestions: Sherlock, Holmes | Watson, John, Dr. John
Species Suggestions: Dewott, Meinshao, Alakazam | Stoutland, Growlithe
Gender Suggestions: Male | Male
Summary:
Bane of his owner, a police officer named Lestrade, the super-intelligent pokemon was not at all like the loyal partner he had been bred from. The firsttime Lestrade dared take the pokemon out to a real crime scene the pokemon disobeyed any order to stay by his side with a faint contemptuous sneer and immediately ducked under the police tape to play with little bits of grass and measure footprints.
Finally managing to get his pokemon under control and back in the house Lestrade had to deal with it scurrying back and forth, snatching up his papers and refusing to return them until he gave up and went to bed.
In the morning all the relevant case files with some information circled in red pen were lying on his desk, connecting seemingly innocuous facts into a definite answer. Then, bored with the solved case, the pokemon had knitted himself a scarf and re-arranged the furniture.
The genius pokemon continued working on police cases, much to his master's displeasure. His keen senses easily picked up things that clumsy humans missed and it was no secret he held his master in some contempt. Other pokemon avoided him or hurt him or just plain believed he was unnatural in his fixations on human crime. His only companion was a doctor's pet pokemon, a former battle champion who would put up with his strange ways and condescending tendency in exchange for the amazing stories of the adventures his friend dragged him into.
When the epidemic began both were devastated, one for the loss of his friends and way or life, the other for the lack of interesting cases likely to arrive.
The two travel together and cover for each other's weaknesses. The learned deductive instincts provide an unrivaled analysis of potentially dangerous terrain or pokemon and the other's friendly manner is often enough to persuade others to refrain from hitting his companion.

Influence: Tia Dalma / Calypso from ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ Series
Name Suggestions: Tia, Voodoo, Calypso
Species Suggestions: Lapras, Gyarados, Vaporeon, Milotic - I would definitely recommend Milotic!
Gender: Female
Summary:
Specially bred from a pedigree, contest parents, the character was effectively ‘made to order’ for a large sum of money for a buyer living in the US. Hatched and trained, pokemon was eventually transported by aeroplane to her new owner. However, the worst befell and the plane crashed into the ocean. All the humans perished, but as a water-type, the character was able to swim to dry land. She arrived on a tiny island, inhabited only by a tribe of humans. Fearful of the character, the humans soon worshipped her as a god. Although confused, she took to the new title, spending her time divided between leisurely training, observing fantastical rituals dedicated to her presence and fitting the role of a goddess. She was essentially a kind ruler, queen of the seas as she spent years in the isolated haven.
Years later, the peace was disturbed as the rest of the world became aware of the island’s presence. A ship arrived boasting a large, armed crew of explorers as they stumbled across the natives and their goddess. Shocked and unwilling to sacrifice her home to these strangers, the character ordered her followers to kill – they obeyed, only to suffer the worst of fates. Their spears were no match for the complicated technologies of the explorers, each and every tribe member perishing in the bloodbath. Horrified, the pokémon swore revenge on the invaders, but before she could flee, she found herself encased in a pokeball.
Confined to a computer system for years on end, the pokémon waited, furious and heartbroken at the sudden demise of her empire. The day she was finally released from her prison, her incredible rage became apparent. She slaughtered the human scientists ruthlessly, relishing in their screams as she lived up to her reputation as a god. Her aim was to destroy the humans who thought so little of her, underestimated her power as queen of the seas – but as she ventured into the foreign world, she soon discovered a startling lack of their kind. The epidemic had hit during her imprisonment, the human population wiped out to be replaced by strange, bloodthirsty monsters. She showed no fear, effortlessly disposing of the creatures as she set her sights on returning to home.

Influence: Music Box by Regina Spektor
Name Suggestions: Anything Really ^^;
Species Suggestions: Eeveelutions, Ponyta, Dratini / Dragonair, Kirlia / Gardevoir, Roselia
Gender Suggestion: Female
Summary:
Hatched into the wild, the character spent only a few precious months with her large family before a trainer captured her. Devastated to lose those closest to her, she remained positive about building up bonds with her owner in an exciting new world. Unfortunately, she was severely mistaken. Drafted into a small, travelling circus, the young pokémon underwent a strict, physically draining training schedule to shape her into the next attraction for the failing organization. The work was hard, the female constantly falling faint from exhaustion but her trainer was relentless. There wasn’t a moment’s peace, no happiness, as she was cruelly beaten in the occasion of her tiring or even worst, losing. However, once the battling was over and she was of a suitable level, the real training began. As a performer, the child was required to dance. Clumsy and uncoordinated, it seemed an impossible feat but over months of constant, abusive coaching, she was soon shaped into the perfect performer.
Hating life, the brutal means of training, the pokémon remained a reluctant performer only fuelled to dance at the threat of violence. Despite her hatred of her ‘degrading’ occupation, she had grown into a particularly skilled, beautiful individual over her years of employment. The circus travelled the region in the years that followed, unable to compete with the already existing, large, well-established companies that were claiming all their customers. This only fuelled the humans’ frustrations, the blame quickly falling onto the small group of performers. The abuse with hideous – the character now realizing that she was un-alone in the treatment as she witnessed closed friends and colleagues fall limp after brutal attacks. Her terror turning to anger at the horrific treatment of the closest thing she had to family, something seemed to snap in the dancer. She wasn’t going to stand it anymore.
Furious, she killed the circus staff in a blind rage – her power and determination incredible to have come from a pokémon previously considered a broken spirit. She and her fellow colleagues rejoiced at the deaths, though now utterly lost on what to do. Remaining determined, the character pushed any flicker of guilt to the back of her mind, instead focusing on how to make up for lost years. She wanted to see the world, do things that she had always dreamt of – but it wasn’t to be. The epidemic had hit, the undead patrolling the wilds to haunt the dreams of those unfortunate enough to survive. Separated from the circus group within days, the character remained determined to make up for lost time. Furious that her lifestyle was once again restrained by monsters of a different kind, the character has gone on a killing spree. Now, under the impression that the only way to earn her freedom is to destroy those responsible; the fearful young dancer has been lost to a vicious, bloodthirsty creature hell-bent on finding her well-deserved peace.

After the epidemic struck her spirit was revived as a pokemon and she got to see first hand the terrible calamities she had predicted for so long. Feeling many of her deaths were her fault for being unable to give sufficient warning she desperately seeks to save as many pokemon as she can by her prophecies. While every prophecy she makes will eventually come true her ignorance of pokemon ways has led to strange behaviours that led pokemon to think her just as mad as the humans did.
