Her pads sting as the sand scraps against them from her Sand Attack but Artemis presses on. The splay of sharp flecks hits the Charmander dead on, its whimpers ringing through her ears like a sweet song. Kicking until her paws were aching with pain the whimpers had turned to full sobbing. "W-Why are you doing this to me!?" By now any cinders in the sand had died out and a shifting hole had appeared where she had kicked the grains away. "You did it first!" She spits seasing the attack to turn around, a Shadow Ball forming at her lips. Its pleas are loud and shrill, "I'm only a kid, why are you doing this to me!"

..What? She stared the sniffling sniveling creature in the eye with her own wide cyan ones. The hazy cover was clearing now and it was easy to see the youth of his scales and brightness of his blood. You're the same age as me. It yelled and sobbed. This Pokemon seemed so young now, more like Elijah than.. No. You're not like us at all. Life had been cruel to her, it had made her tough. The Charmander was weak while she was strong! Artemis' eyes grew glossy, threatening to drip tears that she desperately fought back. Her voice was distressed, "There is no place for kids anymore!" No one had shown her son mercy, why should she? Clenching her eyes shut the Vaporeon shot the Shadow Ball at the ground to send a shower of scratching flecks around them.

Phantom could hear her. The moments rest had allowed him to recover himself and the Growlithe could see those blue scales through the clearing smog just before the explosion of sand swallowed her. His mind said to go but his paws hesitated for a moment before pressing forward. Was she attacking the undead or the other possible ally? Defense or offense? Helping or hurting? There was too many variables that only made him rush his large paws forward. Please be alright. Now underneath them the falling grains of sand trickle into his thick pelt and uncomfortably jab his skin. He can hear the roar of the undead again but can not pinpoint its location. Defensively flames bubble up in his mouth as Artemis becomes clearer.

    Outskirt Stand Desert ^^^ Early Morning ^^^ {25}

"The wind is the god." Visiyn says to himself, tugging at a corner of his spiked cap as the faces fade from the wind and the sand swirls around him as he strides out into the blank indigo desert. Sand crunches under foot as he begins his dream walk.
Ahead bright clouds swirl in the dark sky, the cool air of his dreaming world pleasant on his taut green skin and his bright thorns grow long as behind him the constant wind erases his footprints in the sand.
This was the Dreamwalk, the half-meditation of his healing sleep as he repaired his wounds.
With a soft sigh the Cacturne exhales a gust of curling sand from the black pores that formed his mouth.
In the darkness of the imagined night he sees by bright yellow lights that shine like the multitude of stars twinkling above him.

"There is no place for kids anymore!" Sand splashed everywhere, temporarily blinding the young Charmander. He fell to the ground, he took a great deal of sand on his side, making him trip.
After the sand cleared, Blaze opened his eyes. He wasn't sure what had happened, but he was sure that the Vaporeon had a change of heart. He shifted his head from side to side, sand plunged deep into his wound. It stinged quite a lot, making Blaze whimper in pain. He wiped his face and stood up, he just wanted to be with Kaze or Crescent. He was scared of the new people, he didn't know what to do.
"Y-You're right. T-This world we now live in is no longer full of peace and prosperity. It's just a barren world of kill or b-be killed." He said, with a squeak in his voice. He was young, but he was wise. He just didn't want to die. He was too young. He was wary of other people, and he knew these newcomers could kill, he found out first-hand.
He felt his snout, it still stinged and burned. "Y-You can come with us. Just don't hurt us. Please don't."

Phantom closed his eyes until they were only slits to prevent sand from entering. Visibility was low but he was close enough to Artemis that he simply pushed forward up to her without worry. Why had she used an attack so close, was something after her? The Vaporeon had fallen from the blast but was rising to her paws again with blood dripping from her side. The old scratches on her back were bleeding from sand scratches, making her wince. "There is no place for anyone.."

When he was next to her the Growlithe helped Artemis up with nudge of his muzzle. The water type didn't to want the help but accepted it nonetheless. There was no point to yell at him about that, especially in front of the enemy. As the sand settled Phantom's orange-brown eyes noticed the scaly figure of the Charmander next to them. Thats what you were attacking. The starter didn't look like any kind of threat with tears and blood streaming down its face. "Y-You're right. T-This world we now live in is no longer full of peace and prosperity. It's just a barren world of kill or b-be killed."

Artemis growled at him trying to keep tears and thoughts of Elijah and Polnareff away. "When was it ever? People have always been cruel to others." This Charmander thought himself big.. he didn't know anything! Her thick tail trashed hard behind her with obvious anger but the Growlithe kept his stature calm. He hoped his relaxed yet firm voice was could represent them both as kind despite violence already happening between these two already. "Things are different from how they used to be. They have fallen, yes, but that doesn't mean its pointless or barren. There is still a chance for peace." If they kept fighting the Growlithe was sure they could beat this onslaught. That the deaths of his friends, of those he couldn't protect, would not be in vain.
A sting comes to his eyes not caused by the sand or sun.

The small fire type feels his own wound, the diluted blood staining his scales. "Y-You can come with us. Just don't hurt us. Please don't." By 'us' he must of meant the Absol that Phantom could no longer see despite it being clear now. "Take me to your leader!" The immature Vaporeon spat. This thing was starting to see it her way after all.

The Growlithe was standing still, stuck on a thought as he replied. "We wont hurt you and that would be great," From his direct sight the Absol was gone.. but not the Sandslash. Without the cover of smoke the ground type had a clear view of its prey. With a twisted, broken jaw and discolored, dried out, loose falling skin it was a disgusting sight to see while it let another screech. Rushing toward them on all fours the undeads bright red eyes were full of foreboding death. "But now isnt the time for chatting." The Sandslash rolled itself up in a tight ball of a Rollout, "We have company!" Artemis finished, hustling away from the Sandslashs line of fire and prepping another Shadow Ball.

    Outskirt Stand Desert ^^^ Early Morning ^^^ {26}

With a ripping sound the roots of the Ingrain tear themselves from the floorboards and shrink back into the Cacturne's stubby green feet as the green thorns gleam in the faint morning light.
The Cacturne's oozing mess of a cut eye has healed and scabbed over and left only a bright line of green crusting scar against the Grass Type's face to show where it had struck.
His thorns seem to grow longer and more menacing as the row of pores that formed Visiyn's mouth stretch into a smile.
He was having a good dream.
The wind swept over the sands as Visiyn strode out into the desert and breathed in the rich tasting air of recently baked sands.
This was his world, the only true place he felt comfortable in. Across the dunes that rolled like frozen waves the Cacturne could see for miles in any direction he chose.
Nothing was hidden from him, nothing was complicated, and on the distant horizon he could see a fellow traveller. A creature that like him was part of the desert and with his scarf billowing out behind him Visiyn stepped forwards towards him.
The silhouette against the indigo sky was one he recognized.
"Greetings, brother." He spoke in a wheezing rasp.

Just Outside the Outskirt Stand | Early Morning | 19

Blaze was still listening to the Growlithe when the Vaporeon screamed out something that he didn't hear over a large growl from an Undead Sandslash.
The Young Charmander turned, staring at the incoming Sandslash. It jumped down onto it's fours and transitioned into a rollout, Blaze was frozen in fear.
He closed his eyes, he readied a smoke screen in his mouth, then he sparked it, making a over-powered ember attack that would spray over the Sandslash.
He breathed in and blew out the super-powered ember onto the undead beast.

The Vaporeon held a wavering stare on the approaching Sandslash's rolling shape. The Shadow Ball before her flickered and grew with a dark light of absorbing energy. Swallowing hard Artemis' nerves clenched tight in fear and she launched the attack prematurely. It lands a foot or two in front of the undead and explodes in a cloud of sand and dust. With a quick spinning sputter the Sandslash is stopped on the spot. It screeches its horrid shrill cry and the little Charmander adds in a super heated fleck storm of Embers. The bits of fire splash against the pangolin hybrids face making it rooted to the spot with flailing limbs. Phantom shoots the Charmander a quick approving glance before launching his own Ember at the still undead.

Fire burns the softer scales on its discolored face bubbling at the flesh until it falls off to the sands below. Bone and teeth of its twisted jaw can be seen shining like lights under the flesh. The Sandslash's eyes scream of hatred and it trashes its arms, clanging its clawed paws together. Crouching onto all fours again it flares the spines along its back while launching a Swift toward its prey. The bright stars practically glow as they reflect the sunlight. Its blinding and though the quadrupeds try to dodge and jump away the stars still slash and scratch at them unavoidably.

Phantom bends his legs, bringing his body closer to the ground as one paw covers his muzzle. Artemis flails with mad jumps before collapsing in the sand like a landed fish as the stars smash against her. Gritting his teeth Phantom looks through narrowed eyes at the demon spawn. It is again running toward them with claws spread. Artemis is still panicking from previous attack, unable to dodge if she tried. I have to protect her.. Protect them both. Pressing hard on his paws the Growlithe launches himself toward the Sandslash and feints to the side just before getting hit with its slashing claws. Slamming it hard with one shoulder he hops back with Embers licking at his teeth. "Can you guys keep it distracted!" The Sandslash a pale green beam of light toward him from its claws. The Fury Cutter isnt that bright as it slams against the pups shoulder. He winces at the pain but holds firm. He wouldn't let the others get hurt. I cant let them.

Struggling to right herself the Vaporeon is breathing heavy. Standing on shaky legs she watches as Phantom keeps the monster away. "You, you know I can!" She growls, unsure of herself but angered that he could possibly be doubting her. In quick succession the Vaporeon makes and launches tiny Shadow Balls toward the Sandslash.

Crescent seemed to loose track of everyone for a moment, then when the smoke cleared a bit, she saw the Sandslash heading towards Blaze, a Vaporeon and a Growlithe. Crescent's eyes widened in horror as she realized what was happening, and she charged up a Razor Wind. Rearing up onto her hind legs, with one graceful sweep of her head, the White wind Scythe flew towards the Sandslash, hitting the ground in front of it and sending up a cloud of sand and dust, blocking the Sandslash's view. Screeching because it had lost sight on it's prey, the Sandslash turned to Crescehnt, who was charging up another Razor Wind.

Phantom clenches his teeth tight together as three more Fury Cutters slam hard against him. The trail of blood that began to pour through his orange fur is hard to see save for the shimmer it gives off the sunlight. "Try me," He growls lowly at the Sandslash before spitting his Ember toward it. This old trick wasn't going to work again though as the undead spun around protecting its body with the long spines of its back. "Damn you." The rapid fire Shadow Balls make their way over and burst as they collide with the pangolin. It shakes its triangular head with a loud puff of air and flares its weapon with rage. "DdDdiIiIiEeEee." Its ear piercing shrill freezes the fire type long enough to be hit by yet another Fury Cutter. Even with the type advantage the attacks increasing strength is painfully obvious and the Growlithe drops to his knees.

With Phantom down and her distraction backfiring Artemis scurried quickly across the sand as fast as her paws would allow. If she couldn't distract it then she'd have to make things more interesting. "You leave him alone!" She roared charging full pelt into the Sandslash with her Tackle. There is a jagged crunching sound as the undead is pushed away. The ruff discolored scales of its armor scratch painfully at her own dry ones. With a soft whine the Vaporeon looks at the superficial wound. Damned spines. Slow swipes of a forepaw only smear the blood and bring sand into the wound. "Ahh! You idiot." She cries louder then before, feeling the grit within her shoulder.

Looking up Artemis' feels ice coat of fear on her hot, dry scales. The Sandslash was dashing back toward her with eyes blazing. Panic gripped tight on her heart turning her paws to stone. "Artemis!" The Growlithe calls out, still recovering himself. His paws feel clumsy and slow in the sand and he knows already he can not help her in time. No.. The undead lops closer with clunky steps toward its petrified prey. "FfOoOOoddDd." Claws spread wide and mangled jaw agape the blood lust in its eyes dances freely. Artemis can feel a tear drip down her cheek that is worse then the pain to come.

There is pain, but not what she expected. A bright flash of light erupts in front of her before all goes dark within a cloud of sand. The blast knocks the two Pokemon away from each other moments before collision in clouds of scratching granules. Each screams while toppling back from the force. Both lay still but the Sandslash is the first to rise while its eyes look for its blue meal. Instead they meet a white glow in the not-so-distance. With a huffing hiss the ground type clatters to his swaying feet and hesitates for a few moments from its own hazy mind. Again it starts to run toward possible food, leaving the other three Pokemon alone to catch their breathe. Panting, Phantom takes the chance to bound over to the sand coated Vaporeon.

Speckles of blood and crisscrossing scratch marks coat her blue body. The grains had scraped and battered her scales smearing them red with slow dripping blood. "I hate sand.." She murmurs coughing up a mouthful of the dry stuff. The hot, wet blood flows softly across her body making her heart bgo wild. Her wide looks look into Phantoms with panic. "Just stay here, I promise it wont hit you again." Inwardly the Growlithe is tense and agitated. That look in her eyes.. there was something wrong, but it would have to wait. This was ending now. Looking back toward the undead he notes the way it sways. The sluggish, heavy movements tell of a dark demise. This was their chance.

Farther off he can see the Absol had reappeared and was prepping another attack. Perfect. With a deep breathe Phantom ignores the ache of his body and stinging in his paws. His thick legs carry his stout body was a forced speed. "Hold your attack long enough," He he shouts, gasping in his stride, "For us to hit it at the same time!" Pressing hard on his screaming paws Phantom forces himself to catch up with the undead. Flames start to lick and build within his mouth. His Flame Wheel mixed with her attack should be enough.

"Hold your attack long enough for us to hit at the same time!" Crescent nodded as she heard the voice of the Growlithe, the white glow of another Razor Wind pulsating on her scythe. When she judgeed the distance to be correct, she reared up onto her hind legs, coming down with a quick sweep of her head, loosing the white scythe of wind towards the Sandslash. By the time it reached the Sandslash, the Growlithe would be close enough to attack as well. "Burn in hell you undead freak." Crescent muttered, charging up another Razor Wind. Just in case.

The dogs blood pounds through his ears with each beat of his heart. His paws make a rhythmic hiss against the sandy ground with his steady stride. Just a few more feet. Letting the flames build heavy in his mouth it is almost too much to take. Pricks of fear tingle lightly in his pelt at the thought of the flames getting out of control but he ignores them. Now wasn't the time for fear. The Absol let free her attack yowling loudly, "Burn in hell you undead freak." Huffing Phantom hopes he is in proper range as it is too late to turn back. With the next hit of his forepaws the Growlithe presses hard against the shifting sand until he is air born. Curling his body tightly into a ball he spits the built up fire onto his fur, letting the blaze of this Flame Wheel burn free. Tossing and twisting he can no longer see the Sandslash but knows its somewhere in the path of his speedy decent.

Spinning faster and faster the heat burns through his thick fur. His wounds sting with a fiery passion but he ignores it, peering through slitted eyes at the rotating world. The dark blurry image of the Sandslash appears and vanishes in quick, increasing succession. Just another second and the Growlithe angles himself to he can slam against it with shoulder. The bright light of the Razor Wind flashes as it explodes against the undead, cutting its discolored skin and tossing it back. Yes.. Clenching his muscles tight the Growlithe growls, "Die you cursed beast!"

His injured shoulder takes the blunt of the impact, the flames immediately overtaking the screeching ground type. Body already broken from battle and fresh wounds littering its form the double impact of the quadrupeds attacks finish the job. The pressure of the dual force collapsed its body in on itself. The sound of breaking bones echos through his ears as sizzling, rotten flesh fills his nostrils. The Sandslash slumps to the ground looking like coals under a fire. Its death rattle slur of a cry underlines the crackle of flames on its exposed muscles. It twitches and scrapes at the sand but will not last more then a few minutes. "You do not belong here any longer.." He murmurs softly, staring at its glazed eyes.

Its movements dull and slow until the canine can no longer watch it. Turning, he pads away stiffly. His body aches, namely his shoulder, but he holds a firm on the walk up to the Absol. She seems no worse for wear and he tries to muster a genuinely friendly smile. "Good work right there," He praises her, "My name is Phantom. What is yours?"

Blood dripped in thin trails across the Vaporeons scales. The feeling made her shiver with unnatural cold even under the hot, rising sun. It oozed in a way only fluids could. At least its not water.. Still a bit disorientated from the blast the Vaporeon struggles to get to her paws. The sand slips and slides underfoot making it all the harder to stay standing. Drops of blood, her blood, stain the sand bright red, letting it glisten in the sun. And at least it was just sand.. for the most part. Moving her arm caused a hissing inward gasp of pain through her teeth. The grainy bits of sand clung tight to her wounds making them sting worse then they should. Teasingly she raises her paw to her muzzle and wipes the bits of sand free from her eyes.

With superficial painful movements Artemis starts to walk over to where she can see Phantom. He is far away but she can still see what appears to be an Absol with him. Is that where those other attacks came from? Her head begs to get out of the sun and to a place of rest. Peering off in the distance does not help it at all. Half considering looking for the Charmander again she ignores the thought. Damned thing tried to attack me. Her paws burn with each step on the sand. Phantom get me out of this blasted desert!

Crescent took in the growlithe's style of fighting. A very effective style. She thought, watching as the growlithe came over and introduced itself as Phantom."I'm Crescent. Nice to meet you. Thanks for helping out with that sandslash." Crescent said, her eyes looking at the Vaporeon coming closer to them. It looked pretty banged up. Not like Crescent was any worse herself. She spotted Blaze a little further away. It seemed everyone had some sort of wound from the battle. "I'll go get Blaze. Maybe we should go back to the stand? Visiyn's probably still in his sleepy frozen state." Crescent thought aloud, shifting from foot to foot because of the hot sand.

    Outskirt Stand Desert ^^^ Morning ^^^ {27}

Amber eyes gleamed like twin chips of topaz as the shadow figure looked up at him. Made entirely of swirling black shadows and swathed in cloth a gleam of red was the only color visible in the darkness as it covered the lower half of the face from the desert winds. Both stood at nearly the same height as the gleaming eyes looked up at him. The figure slouched, grabbing a handful of sand from the desert of the mind and letting it trickle through its fingers to the ground.
Visiyn bends and does the same, the dark pores of his mouth contorting into a smile.
"Well met Dhakwan Abdul-Ba'ith al-Rashid ibn Zafar." He says respectfully and even through the red scarf he can pick up that the human is smiling back.
On the desert sands the man sits and beckons with a hand, inviting Visiyn to sit beside him. From the folds of cloth that protect him from the desert heat he pulls a bottle of a khaki colored hide from which he takes a short drink then offers it to his partner. Solemnly Visiyn takes the offered bottle and takes a swig of water before handing it back. Above the silvery points of shining stars seem to grow greater.
"Why do you wander here in the desert of the soul." He asks the spectre.

Just Outside the Outskirt Stand | Morning |20

The young charmander watched the fight unravel, he didn't know what to do. He was weak, he didn't even stand a chance against anything. He felt like he was useless. Which he was, he was just a little animal that ate all of their food.
But he couldn't be thinking about that, he wanted to help. He wanted to become stronger. These pokemon were strong, he could train from them. He smiled, reassured.
He shifted his head forward, the fight was finished and Crescent was talking to the new duo. Crescent then turned and walked towards Blaze.
He jumped up and ran towards Crescent, jumping in joy. "C-Crescent! I couldn't find you at all, you disappeared!" He said, annoyance in his voice, but at the same time joy. He felt his newly marked scar on his snout and then looked forward, all he wanted to do was go back to the stand.

    Outside Outskirt Stand | Morning

Phantom keeps a calm face throughout his panting. Slowly his racing heart was returning to a normal beat as he stands still. "I'm Crescent. Nice to meet you. Thanks for helping out with that Sandslash." It was calming to know that the Absol, that Crescent, was not only fierce but kind. With a light voice he chimes, "Its no problem, I couldn't let that thing drag another Pokemon into its ranks." His heart lurches tight in his chest as the painful memories of Acid, Mimic, and Axel surface. At least none of you fell to that point.. Even if he had just met the white-furred female and the Charmander in the distance he could already feel a friendship growing. The thought of abandoning them when in need boils the flame deep in his reserves. I couldn't do something like that.

Taking a deep breath in he pushes his feelings deep down inside himself. There was a time and place for those things, but now was not one of those. Crescent continued, "I'll go get Blaze. Maybe we should go back to the stand? Visiyn's probably still in his sleepy frozen state." He blinks politely at the two foreign names and nods to the familiar one. "That would be fantastic. We were actually looking for the Outskirt Stand." He was able to navigate to it safely after all.

Stepping lightly Artemis winces with every movement of her body no matter how subtle. Dammit all, why does sand have to scratch so bad? Her scales burn hot under the ever rising sun making the Vaporeon miss the crisp mountain air more and more. Suddenly the Charmander speeds past her, kicking sprays of sand and dust into the air. The dry vapor hits her square in the face, choking the Vaporeon until she lost her foot. Stumbling backward to keep balance her cyan eyes shoot daggers at the orange shape. "C-Crescent! I couldn't find you at all, you disappeared!" With a quiet growl she ignored the lizard but notes the name he dropped. Stupid kid.

Continuing to pad forward until she was beside Phantom the Vaporeon eyes the Absol wearily. You are nothing like Elijah.. Seeing the discomfort in his friend Phantom shifts one paw, "Oh," he mutters, "Artemis, this is Crescent and, Blaze." Quietly he prayed that this Charmander was the Blaze that Crescent had mentioned. Hot embarrassing starts to flood his pelt in worry. Shuffling her forepaws Artemis stares toward the little starter, "We've, already met." The marks from her claws on his snout looked about as painful as her own scratches.

Glancing longingly at the sky Phantom suggests calmly, "The sun is starting to get pretty high already. Its not wise to be caught in it out here, it could be deadly." Bits of anxiety prick at his belly, Artemis looked thoroughly exhausted from the trek and about ready to drop. "We've traveled throughout the night and would really appreciate a proper rest." Shooting him a wide eyes look Artemis wails, "Proper rest, I feel like my paws are about to fall off!" Her stomach squeezes at itself, silently calling for food until she must wince again. "I just want out of this damn desert already."

    Outskirt Stand~Morning~59
"C-Crescent! I couldn't find you at all, you disappeared!" Crescent felt her spirits lift when she heard Blaze. Phantom mentioned something about rest, and Crescent nodded."We are all pretty tired. C'mon, I'll show you the way to the Outskirt Stand. There's a friend there, A cacturne. He's somewhat weird, but he'll not harm you." Crescent said, her eyes going to the cut on Blaze's snout. Ouch. I hope that wasn't from the Sandslash. She thought, sighing.

    Outskirt Stand Desert ^^^ Morning ^^^ {27}

"Well met my brother."" Thje human says and Visiyn isn't surprised to see that here in the eternal desert of the mind they can both speak clearly to each other. Dhakwan was as much a child of the desert as he was. Even as a human he was still a child of Shai-Hulud and the eternal sands ran through him too. A figure made of shadows and smoke, a Djinn spirit without a true shape the Human rests at his side and takes a sip of the warm waters distilled from the Cacti of the desert. His clothing, mere dents of shape in the shadows, it that of the desert guide. Gleaming sharply and more solid that any other part of him the curved bladed Scimitar rests across his back. Stars are reflected in the length of the cool steel blade as the shadowy figure of Dhakwan waited before answering his Cacturne's question.
"You must be prepared Visiyn my brother. Dark times are ahead." He says in a voice like sand shifting over sands.
The stars in the sky seem to flare even brighter as the shadowy figure starts to fade away.
When will you wander again Dhakwan Abdul-Ba'ith al-Rashid ibn Zafar?" Visiyn asks, using the respectful complete name of the trainer who raised him as another barely detectable grin shows through the red cloth.
Very soon my brother. Sooner than you think

Just Outside the Outskirt Stand | Morning |20

Blaze listens to the others speak, they seemed to be getting ready to return to the stand. He sighs and walks ahead of them, a worried look on his face.
Could I become one of those things because of this cut...?
He thought intently, putting his paw to his face, feeling the long claw-marks going through his snout. It hurt like hell, but he had to handle it. He had to become strong, or otherwise he would die and get left behind.
"Come on, lets go back. I'm kind of sick of adventuring for today, heh." The young Charmander whispers, trying to make a joke. "But seriously, can we just get back to the stand now?" He didn't mind if he was sounding impatient, he got a permanent scar across his face, he could care less!
He walked on, his tail dragging behind him, resting in the sand. It was a low flame, as he was starting to calm down.

    Outskirt Stand | Morning
    37 | 37

Phantom lets his anxiety melt away as Blaze doesn't mention his name dropping. Guess I was right then. It was a fitting name for a fire type but it didn't seem proper for this child. Maybe it was the tears. Crescent barks back to him, "We are all pretty tired. C'mon, I'll show you the way to the Outskirt Stand. There's a friend there, A Cacturne. He's somewhat weird, but he'll not harm you." before turning tail toward the Stand just barely visible past the brow of a hill. The Growlithe walks with pained steps after the Absol, starting a fresh flow of blood from his wounds. Artemis follows him with a grunt and a hard trash of her thick tail. He eyes the her carefully, making sure she was alright, before padding a step closer to Crescent, "I've met some pretty strange characters myself. I bet he's not too bad." 'Strange' didn't quite describe Alex but what else would you call someone who carries around his buddies corpse? A sharp pain jabs at his heart at the memory.

Flexing her toes with each step Artemis finds herself increasingly short of breath. Had the battle and her scratches really taken that much out of her? No. Her dry scales burned under the ever rising sun, the dark mask on her head hot beneath its rays. Not having water was one thing but this was no place for a Vaporeon. Its way too hot. Why couldn't a desert have trees? She moves closer to his Phantom's hunches, her head hanging low. "But seriously, can we just get back to the stand now?" That Darn Charmander was hitting a nerve. Artemis shoots daggers at him as he passes her by, curling her toes more then in her previous steps. Twitching her ear-fins irritably while a growl boils deep in her throat she glares at him. His tail makes a light sound against the sand, the flame beckoning her with its flickers. She drops all thoughts with a grunt to herself before stepping on to the brow of the hill. The Bubble Jet Pokemon can clearly see the raggedy shape of the Outskirt Stand and feels the breathe taken from her. "This is what you wanted to bring us to?" She gasps, kicking a paw through the sand, unamused. What a wreck, this place wont help us at all!

As the canine reached the summit a gentle smile crossed his muzzle. "Huh, it looks just like how I imagined it." Well, it was in a bit worse shape then he had imagined but the general idea was right. Nudging Artemis lightly he shares his smile with her. Lighten up, it wont be as bad as it appears. Carefully Phantom skids his way down the sand and toward the oddly shaped building. A hot, musty stale smell seeps from the inside of the doorway; no humans had been here in a long while. Not that I expected otherwise. Stepping tentatively up the steps Phantom's claws clink against the metal. The air inside the Stand is just as dry as that of the outside yet its much easier for him to breathe. We did kick up a lot of sand outside. He can see the dust literally coating and coming off of his orange fur.

Artemis presses even closer to the canine as she enters, her shoulder touching the fur on his hunches. Once all four of her paws are inside though she peels away from him. In the enclosed space the air feels heavy but at least there is shade. Letting her eyes look about the dark room she was not impressed. "Is there any place to sleep in here?" She grunts, disappoint in her voice. There was only the table benches and they looked less then comfortable. Drifting about the space her cyan eyes land on a strange green figure. The Vaporeon moves ever so slowly, taking one curious step forward. It isn't moving but seems so out of place with the rest of the decor. "What is that thing?" Was it, alive?

"What is that thing?" Crescent sighed. "That, Is Visiyn. The cacturne I mentioned. As I said, he's somewhat weird." Crescent said, closing the door when everyone was inside, leaving only the single light to illuminate the small room. "Anyone hungry? Or are we all just tired?" Crescent said, laughing a bit. Visiyn might wake up now that it was darker inside the stand, then They could introduce themselves properly.

    Outskirt Stand Desert ^^^ Morning ^^^ {27}
A breath of cool air touches Visiyn's skin as the bright sunlight is cut off. Without light to convert his body no longer concentrates on taking it in, instead turning the stored energy into energy for movement.
Like a jack-o-lantern being lit his eyes sudden flare into brilliant life, gleaming yellow like two points of fire light as he steps from the small pile of soil he has created with his writhing roots.
He exhales with a soft sigh, grains of fine sand leaking from the pores that formed his mouth as he does so.
The sharp thorns of his arms seem to extend as he flexes them, sweeping his gaze over new and old travellers of the desert. Shadowed underneath the wide brim of his stiked cap the mess of his cut eye is now lined with a stripe of lime green where the flesh has made a complete recovery and resotred sight to the eye.
"How thoughtful, you bought water." He says in an eerie voice like the wind-whipped sands and reaches out a thorned arm towards the beautiful life-giving blue skin of a Water Type. Wormlike roots break the pale skin to writhe in mid-air growing as they extend out towards the Vapoureon.
Eyes glinting malevolently the Cacturne leaps forwards with surprising speed, managing to leap behind the Vapoureon and hold his hand above the Vapoureon's head before the roots shrink and coil back on themself, folding back underneath his light green skin.
"Gotcha~!" He grins and offers the now completely normal hand for the Vapoureon to shake.
"My name is Visiyn and may I say that you are certainly a vision too."
    He winks.
