History: Courtney's parents were brought to Sinnoh as part of a black market that sold rare pokemon eggs. Her parents were forced to breed to make these eggs, and after the boss was satisfied with their work, the pokemon would be killed. The eggs hatched into several baby Pawniards. The boss wanted to kill the one who was smallest, which was Courtney. She cowered in the corner and was about to be killed, when one of the black market workers stopped him. The worker said he had enough of boss' attitude towards pokemon, quit, and took Courtney home with him.
The worker, named Dennis, had a passion for woodworking. He wanted to put the Pawniard, which he named Courtney, to work. But not as a slave, like his boss, but as an apprentice. His idea was to think about what his boss did, and do the opposite. It worked well for both of them, and Courtney loved her new life with Dennis. When the two weren't busy working, they would be battling and training. For her hard work and help, Dennis gave Courtney two TMs for her to use.
Enter the infection. Courtney and Dennis were hit hard by it. There was a ferry that could take them both out of Sinnoh. However, Dennis fought with someone who was trying to take Courtney away from him. In the scuffle, Dennis was pushed into the water, where his end came at the hands of an undead Sharpedo. Courtney could only watch as the man she idolized was eaten alive. She stood in the same spot Dennis fell for what seemed like ages. She now goes through Sinnoh for hope of survivors, carving trees along the way to carry out her master's legacy.
Appearance: Courtney is a normal Pawniard.
Personality: Courtney has her mind set on three things; survival, battle, and carving. She loves carving as a hobby, and does as a way for her to remember Dennis. She also idolizes any strong fighters and often tries to emulate them as well. If there isn't any pieces of wood around, she'll doodle in the dirt.
