Desert Resort/ Above Relic Castle| Afternoon
Angelus watched as the elder brother, the charizard, made his way to the buck and his unconscious companion. While Angelus herself wouldn't turn her nose at the offering of such a meal, the buck and feline had proven themselves enough in the battle with the moth to earn some of her respect. Part of that was her refraining from attempting to eat them. Still, his advances amused her, and her pale gaze was fixated upon them and their silent warfare. The buck showed enough courage, not backing down despite his opponent being one of the few that could utterly devestate him. It reminded her some of Caim; he showed the same attributes, if not a little more... passionately. Surely if met with a similar situation, the ninetales would merely attack the instigator and get himself in trouble. However, the plucky buck's companion woke and Angelus felt the need to intervene before things turned ugly.
"They've proven themselves useful, Ashes," her grating voice called as she made her way closer. "We'll find food soon enough. Let's just move out of these blasted sands."
Caim, however, stayed put when Dragon began to go off on her own, to the others that were doing whatever amongst themselves. The only one near him was the snake, trembling against the abrasive sands. "If he survived that kind of a cave in...is it possible the moth did as well?" she asked. He shrugged, uncertain. He'd never known a foe like that to go down so quickly, even with six or seven pokemon working together to kill it. Almost pitying her as she shivered in the storm, he was about to offer his leg for her to climb when she said something else, something that nearly caused his heart to combust right then and there.
"A woman turned into a stake will hold the world in a basin of fire."
Suddenly, his face was in hers, his intense sapphire eyes boring down into her, a sense of urgency about him instead of the normal malice. ~"Where did you hear that from, Snake?"~ he asked her directly, his telepathic voice invading her mind. However, it seemed Fate wasn't about to let him have an answer, fire suddenly erupting nearby. Turning, he found a dark blotch in the sky, roaring. He knew that shape anywhere, even as marred and decayed as it was.
Hydreigon.
The pokemon that had nearly single-handedly ruined his life, Caim was filled with such a rage, he missed the ghost nearby timidly greeting him. Angelus turned as well, spotting the creature after Caim began running after it, earning a grunt of frustration from her. "Damned fool!" she cried, tail lashing as she heaved herself into the air. "You're racing to your death!" She turned back to the others, eyes on all of them. "Find shelter, something." He eyes strayed to the hole, which seemed to shift. She would have prayed for it to be a simple illusion, a traick on the eyes from the shifting sands, but knew that such an act was futile. "That bug isn't dead yet, and I'm not interested in taking on two Jackals at once!" She flew after Caim, racing to catch him before the other dragon did.
