History
As a young Skitty, Rei liked to play tricks on passing trainers to steal their food and supplies. She found great joy in doing this, watching them chase after her as she ran off into the forest before losing them. People started to think she was a Zorua making itself appear as a Skitty, but there where no Zorua's in the area. Rei couldn't help but find joy in out smarting the humans, seeing how dumb they where to get fooled so easily. Though all her fun had to come to an end.
The people who lived in the nearby town where starting to get sick of Rei coming around and stealing there things, so they set up a competition for trainers to catch Rei, whoever managed to catch her got some kind of prize as well as getting to keep the Skitty for their party, or just keep her in storage forever. Rei wasn't going to make it easy for all the trainers who came to win. She would play tricks on them like she did all the others, then she would steal there pokeballs, that way they would have nothing to use to catch her with. It was a good plan, now she just needed to set it in motion.
It worked for the first handful of trainers, walking in front of them like she didn't have a care in the world then hitting them with her doubleslap, thats when she started to get cocky. She started thinking she was uncatch-able, but then it happened, the ultra ball came out of nowhere and hit her right between the eyes. Rei felt herself get pulled into it and struggled to get out, but it was stronger then a normal pokeball and she lost the fight with it. Rei couldn't believe it, she had been beat.
The first three months after her capture she didn't bother to do a thing her new trainer, Jean, said. She tried to be nice to Rei, but nothing seemed to work. Rei had hoped the girl would take a hint and let her go but nothing, Jean just wouldn't give up on trying to befriend the stubborn Skitty. But slowly, Rei had started to become fond of her. Jean was an artist, she could draw almost all hours of the day, but all she seemed to draw was pokemon. Jean had a good memory, she would only need to see a pokemon once and she would remember what it looked liked. The duo had even seen some of the legendary pokemon, but no one ever believed them. Jean and Rei had grown close, becoming best of friends. And soon after, Rei became a Delcatty through a moon stone that Jean had managed to come across through there travels. They thought nothing could drive them apart, but nothing lasts forever.
After the infection started Jean and Rei went into hiding for the worst part of it, and then started to move when they believed it was safe. Jean started to draw pictures of the horrendous pokemon they had encountered through there running. Rei new that the pictures of those sick pokemon where haunting Jean when she slept. It was a curse of having a photographic memory. It was hard to forget things you didn't want to remember. Soon, while once again fleeing a pack on infecting canine pokemon, Jean and Rei got split up. She had no idea how it happened, they had just lost track of each other in the forest as they tried to lose the dogs. They had managed to lose them, but each other as well. She knew Jean would be all right, she had her other pokemon to keep her safe. Rei had to be strong, it would just be like those times when she was back on her own fooling trainers to take their things, but this time she was fooling infected, and what she was taking, was another day at life.
