no shepherd without vakarian, but no tali without garrus. probably pre-mass effect 3 but post mass effect 1. tali will be steel type (?) probably porygon or something similar. garrus is a flying-type that is exceptional with long-range attacks, possibly empoleon tho. some bird
garrus was former c-sec officer pokemon before leaving the force and meeting shepherd.
tali'zorah was part of a nomadic tribe of her kind before meeting shepherd.
shepherd's crew traveled around the regions as more of a mercenary group than anything, and hunting down specific individuals. (like saren and the illusive man) before the epidemic split them. shepherd became undead and the normandy crew was forced to separate. tali and garrus opted to stay together as they trusted each other enough and partnered up often in the past.
garrus only has special, ranged moved and little to no physical attacks. tali has more elemental moves that give a mechanic type feeling (electric moves especially)
tali is weak and is probably infected but turning slowly due to resistant typing. garrus seems to know but completely ignores the fact and is in some sort of denial.
tali is playful, if not a little too cheeky, and doesn't mind making snarky comments on the side. she's knowledgeable in her line of work and proud of her kind, but can be easily embarrassed and very defensive to those who insult her heritage. sarcastic and witty.
garrus is a little more awkward, tries to put up some sort of stoic air but ultimately fails to do so. he likes teasing girls with his low, attractive voice. he's very battleborn and very adept at fighting, but prefers long range and has near impeccable aim.
