Question: Shiny Kecleon - Answered

After talking on chat about an upcoming kecleon character, I was wondering how exactly you'd go about making a shiny character of the species?

Considering they change colour depending on type, would every colour have a shiny colouration to it? Also, would it be possible if they didn't change colour at all? Or that they're stuck in one specific colour?

Sorry about all the questions, this has really got me thinking, lol. xD

The sprites show that the Red zigzag across it's belly stay visible/stay the same colour (except for emerald sprite) and the shiny version has, instead of the red zigzag, a purple one, so you would have it the same colours as normal, but the zigzag would be blue, and stays blue even when it becomes invisible/changes colour.

I can answer this for you.

A Kecleon would be considered a shiny if its normal/base state is different than that of a regular Kecleon. So where as a Kecleon is green, yellow and red when it is normal if you have any character that is not that color when normal then it would be a shiny.

If during RP he changes colors because of a type he was hit with then he won't need a shiny because Kecleon always change back to normal after battle.

From what I saw in Artist Alley you have a purple Kecleon, if that is not due to the him being hit with a poison type then yes he would need a shiny ticket. Normal Kecleon should only turn purple when affected by poison.
