Aleena the Cinccino [Inactive]

If there was any label you could give to Aleena’s childhood, it would definitely not be boring.

The little one barely knew her parents; her earliest memory was of herself sitting as an infant by the side of the highway, crying in intelligible noises because she was hungry.  All of a sudden there was a pink blanket being wrapped around her and she was being lifted into someone’s arms.  Looking up, there was a human woman looking down at her.  Though years later she would not be able to recall the worried look on her face, she would always remember how safe she felt in her arms at that moment.

The woman’s name was Lenna.  As the little one would later learn, Lenna and her husband had been the proud trainer of a male and female Charizard; Lenna's Charizard being the male and her husband, the female.  However, shortly after the Charizard couple had an egg, an earthquake hit the area and the house caved in, killing the two Pokémon as they tried to shield their unhatched child, which did survive the tragedy.  Unable to stay in the area anymore because it was too painful, the humans moved to a different region and tried to begin anew, buying a large piece of property and starting a Pokémon ranch; Several days after finding and rescuing the newly named Aleena off the side of the street, Lenna’s husband Luke found a half starved Buizel infant alone in an alley near where he worked.  The couple decided to find and take in as many infant Pokemon as they could, not only to make a difference in the young Pokemons’ lives, but also to provide the infant Charmander with a group of friends, just as his parents would have wanted him to be.

The group grew steadily and were all in the same age group.  Aleena, still very young, soon formed friendships with Captain, the Buizel, Roderick, the Charmander, Candy, a shiny Buneary, and Seyha the Sableye.  Years passed and they went by without any more tragedy to mar their childhood.  Candy and Captain fell in love and became mates.  A shiny Audino named Violet joined the group in their teenage years and soon it was as if she’d been there her whole life.  The years continued to pass onwards; Aleena had evolved along with the rest of her companions and now their trainers had a ten year old child of their own, a boy named Joshua.  Lenna and Luke each chose a few of their Pokémon to give to Joshua, and Aleena, Captain, Roderick, Candy, and Seyha were the chosen Pokémon.  Not long after Joshua became their trainer the boy brought home an egg, which he gave to Captain and Candy as the two had been trying and failing for years to produce a child for themselves.  The egg hatched into a Riolu that Candy named Felix, and the family was happy.  They all raised Felix together, and a happier life Aleena could not have wished for.  Even Joshua’s cousin Jon coming to live with them with his Pokémon could not dampen the mood.

Then came the Epidemic.

Felix had gone missing.  Though heavily questioned Sly, one of Jon’s Pokemon, and someone who clearly hated Felix, insisted he had done nothing wrong.  Captain, Roderick, Candy, and Aleena all went out to search for the youngster, leaving the others to watch over Joshua and his parents.  While searching they were attacked by a group of undead Abra.  However, though the virus had driven the Abra to attack them, their natural instincts were still somewhat intact and as a result, not long after the fight began, the Abra began teleporting themselves away... but all did so at the same time: when someone was touching them.  One minute, Aleena was driving her fist at the Abra’s face; the next there was a flash of light and she was in a place she had never been, alone and confused.

She wandered around for a way back home, still hopelessly lost and praying that her family was safe.

She came across a group of survivors but did not stay long; the Weavile scared her away after the Furret child she struggled to protect fell into the ocean and was carried away by the waves.  Having come across a Harbinger in that time, she has grown more paranoid but has managed to come to terms with the encounter and, while scarred by it, is no longer a grieving wreck over the incident.

-mistakenly believes any undead could be a Harbinger and any infected a Harbinger in the making

• good at applying knowledge she already has to the unknown
  

-watching zombie movies with the others helped her realize what was going on with the Epidemic pretty quickly
-realized early on that direct contact is a terrible idea and thus never touches the dead or undead

-the reason for her always clean fur is a drive to clean
-grooming actually calms her somewhat nowadays

-she is not afraid to read the riot act to someone who is angering her

-her mind is healthy enough for her to understand nothing that happened was her fault
-this has allowed her to retain the healthy view of herself that she had pre-Epidemic
-aware that she is not perfect, but is able to forgive herself for her mistakes and move on
-loves herself deeply and does not need anyone to do it for her

• somewhat depressed, in a bit of denial
  

-though not guilt ridden, it's still hard to deal with the horrors that have happened and she wonders if accomplishing her goal is even possible
-does her best to ignore the fact that the ranch is probably overrun

♏ [url=???]Roderick[/url]: Very close to Roderick, finding him a good person to go to when she needs to calm down, take a few deep breaths, and think things through.
♏ [url=???]Felix[/url]: Her beloved nephew; he's a rambunctious child, but she loves him dearly even when he drives her mad.
♏ [url=???]Sly[/url]: The troublemaker who came to her ranch and did something to Felix.  She did not spend much time around him, so her only opinion of him is framed on the stories of others, which are not very flattering accounts.  Despises him.
