I usually go off the anime, as far as how attacks would happen (because fo the most part, they actually give full cinematic view. However, some attacks, Swords dance in particulr, is different for each pokemon that uses it. My Lucario, Joshua, has this attack, and I was wondering, since he has no blades or claws to work wth already, could the attack work more like it does in Pokemon XD,where swors literaly float around him for few seconds? Then, would he potentially be able to grab one of said swords, which would disappear after a little while?

Re: Swords Dance
Not really.... those swords are really mental projections which boost fighting spirit.
Not really a physical blade to be wielded.

Re: Swords Dance
If you read bulbapedia, Swords Dance is described as a Frantic Dance that boosts fighting spirit. There would be no swords, projected or otherwise, involved. You can't use swords dance as a quick way of acquiring a weapon.

Re: Swords Dance
It is named Swords Dance because the dance is like the pulse racing art of sword dancing, it is just a dance however.
