History
Back when Koin was just a small Eevee, he had been hatched by a loving human boy. Together, they trained and traveled to many places, and their bond grew, until they were inseparable. Koin and his beloved trainer went through the thick and thin, enduring any and all problems that seemed trivial to the ever-growing friendship between the two. Originating from Kanto, the trainer brought his Pokémon, including Koin, towards Johto, where they continued to grow closer and steadily stronger too.

One day, Koin's trainer found a Thunderstone. Both the Eevee and the trainer were excited to evolve him, but he held back, wanting to get stronger before being rewarded with an evolution. They trained even harder than before, but then the epidemic had spread towards Johto. Pokémon were killing humans, but Koin, still a small Eevee, bravely fought off any incoming attackers. He couldn't fight the strong Pokémon face-to-face, so Koin decided to use his wit and outsmart the dumb thing. His trainer was overly frightened for the Eevee's well-being, although Koin continued to fend for his human friend.

Then, a sudden fiend from behind the backs of Koin and his trainer stabbed the boy repeatedly. The Eevee was fighting off another zombie-like Pokémon, but once he saw what mortal danger his friend was in, he quickly disposed both of the dangers and ran to his dying comrade. There were no words that could be said. The last action Koin's friend, trainer, comrade, and leader alike chose to do, was to press the Thunderstone on Koin's small head, thus evolving him. Soon after, Koin was left all alone in a very strange world.

- His Substitutes, though he can see through their eyes, can do nothing but look (they can't attack)
