--- -- -4- -- --- Shinx glanced over at the Charizard, who stared curiously at the silver bar. Did she not want it? The Electric-type felt flustered, of course, she didn't know what went through other Pokemon's minds, why did she bother? Now she would be seen as weird, or maybe even a bit too overcaring-
"Thanks, that's kind of you" The Flying/Fire Dual-type said. Shinx blinked, staring up at the fire lizard in surprise as she watched Ethana carefully open the end of the silver wrapper, taking a chunk of the bar and gulping it down. She gave a small smile, nodding and thanking Ethana for the appreciation. At least now she wasn't considered weird or anything! Then again, she said nothing as she stuck with the group, not like she had the choice to speak... Harlequin. She disliked that name, glad that she got rid of it. Or rather glad her being mute prevented her from rolling that name across her tongue.
Her thoughts were interrupted by the loud crackling sound of a silver wrapping being ripped open. Shinx perked up only to see Orin unwrapping it. With a kind smile, he nudged it towards the Electric-type. The Flash Pokemon blinked, staring at the food. She then, moved her honey-like eyes from the food to the Zorua, who looked eager for acceptance. Shinx didn't know what to say. Or rather, when she came to her senses, the young cub realized that this was the first time someone would offered her something! Her face flushed into a crimson red, she bowed her thanks at Orin as she ate the bar. Though it didn't seem much, Shinx loved it. It was her first ever gift. Despite it being shared food, no one usually offered her anything! It didn't strike her that her face was still cherry red. Though she did feel her face grow hot, she didn't hide it behind her scarf like she would always do. For the first time, she felt like she wanted to show her face much more often.
Treating the food like a delicacy, Shinx carefully grabbed up the bar between her teeth, the shell softly giving way as she chewed. Her heart thumped against her chest in anxiety, taking in the flavors and texture. It was sweet, weren't silver bars made to have nutrients and no flavor? Then again, this could be because this was a gift that the flavor seemed so sweet. She savored the taste -- even when she gulped it down -- she savored the after-taste too. If she had a voice, she would have thanked Orin from the bottom of her heart, maybe shed a tear. Why aren't tears of happiness coming out? Maybe she's just too happy and hungry that she doesn't need to show her appreciation? She should repay Orin someday! Hopefully soon so she won't forget!
She finished as soon as Orin got up, curious, Shinx followed him, unsure what's the Illusion Pokemon up to. Though she thought she was a bother to him, he seemed deep in thought as he inspected the building. He must be checking to see if it was safe. Shinx found that admirable of him to be checking it up! Of course, he wouldn't want to sleep somewhere with the many possibilities of an Undead breaking in! She continued to follow him, like a lost soul seeking help, or rather, a curious soul attempting to 'nose' on other's businesses. The Zorua suddenly turned to the back of the Pokecenter, Shinx flinched for a brief second, but followed him. He padded over to a dull window, curious if anything was out there. She had to admit, looking at that window gave her the chills. Even the ends of her hair stood up!
The Electric-type paused, eyes widening as she spotted a pair of crimson-red eyes staring right back at her. Immediately she stumbled back in surprise, only to bump into a pile of boxes that caused a loud
CRASH! Shinx jumped, oh no! It's her fault! The crash could have possibly attracted Undead to come over and try to break in! Her eyes turned from the pile of boxes back over to the window, the crimson-red eyes now gone from view... Was that her imagination? Or did it went to go grab some friends? Her heart that was happy for a present was now horrorfied and frightened. It thumped against her chest in anxiety as she immediately rushed to the boarded up doors, peering through the holes to check for any signs of Undead.
Strangely enough, none came out at the sound of crashing boxes. Shinx blinked in surprise, but continued to peer through, sniffing the air even. It's as if Undead left the city, it was a complete ghost town. The scent of death and decay somewhat disappeared, why is that? Though she would have been glad, the thought of Undead magically disappearing was foreboding. She knew some of them could be smart enough to ambush, possibly planning on trapping them in the Pokecenter... Taking in a sharp breath, she looked over her shoulder and at Miyu and Ethana. The Eevee was struggling in her sleep, whereas the Flash Pokemon was unable to see the Charizard's reaction. She then shifted her gaze from them to Orin, unsure if he would yell or scold Shinx for crashing into the boxes.
